Need correct Target Id for report logical links

Dear Experts,
I have the following requirement where I need to have 5 Trade Funds related reports to be displayed when I click on the 'xyz' workcenter of my business role.
The standard Group Id (Work Center Link Groups) for the reports is FM-ALL-RE.
The logical links for the 5 reports included in the above Group Id are:
FM-MC13-1
FM-MC13-2
FM-MC13-3
FM-MC13-4
FM-MC14-1
So I did the following:
1. Created a custom workcenter e.g. xyz.
2. In workcenter definition, the Logical Link ID is abc (custom).
3. In logical link definition, abc is assigned to Target ID TSLSDASHWC.
4. Group Id FM-ALL-RE is assigned to workcenter xyz.
5. Workcenter assignment to Navigation Bar Profile and Business Role is done as usual.
But I am not getting the links for the 5 reports when I login using the business role and click on Workcenter xyz.
I have analyzed and found that the issue is happening because of step 3, where it seems the wrong Target Id is assigned.
Can anyone please guide as to which should be the correct Target Id which can solve this issue.
I tried to go through various standard SAP business roles but none of them had any link to my above 5 reports.
regards
Animesh

Hi Animesh,
I have got the feeling that you are correct concerning the SWITCH_ID field.
You have multiple possibilities to check if it is the reason. One would be to:
Set a breakpoint in method CL_CRM_UI_NAVBAR_SRV->TRAVERSE_WC_DEFINITION() for the following code
* remove entries with inactive switch id
  IF iv_ignore_switches EQ abap_false.
LOOP AT lt_wc_infos ASSIGNING <wc_infos> WHERE switch_id_wc_a   IS NOT INITIAL OR
                                                   switch_id_wclg_a IS NOT INITIAL.
      lv_tabix = sy-tabix.
      IF cl_webcuif_switch=>is_switch_active( iv_switch_id = <wc_infos>-switch_id_wc_a ) EQ abap_false OR
         cl_webcuif_switch=>is_switch_active( iv_switch_id = <wc_infos>-switch_id_wclg_a ) EQ abap_false.
        DELETE lt_wc_infos INDEX lv_tabix.
        CONTINUE.
      ENDIF.
    ENDLOOP.
  ENDIF.
Then either just jump over the LOOP whenever it is hit or check the contents of LT_WC_INFOS
Now check in WebClient if your links show up
The solution to your problem is afterwards to activate the switch to ensure correct display and (more important) data content.
cheers Carsten

  • Defining target page for category banner link

When showing the group by category banner in an item region the category name shows up as a link. I need the target of this link to be a page I can control the look and feel of - how to?

In Release 2 (9.0.2) and later you can modify the category pages just like any other page, including controlling the attributes that appear. In 9.0.2.6 you can now apply a template to these pages as well.
In 3.0.x you have limited ability to control the appearance - the folder will pick up the style of the root folder of the page group. Otherwise, the appearance of the folder is fixed.

  • Profit Center Accounting - Need an appropiate DataSource for reporting

We have a report which gives us debit-credit info based on Business Area for given G/L accounts. Modeling is as follow:
0FI_GL_1 -> 0FIGL_C01 then report is based on virtual cube 0FIGL_VC1(logic is based on 0FIGL_C01 only)
now we need a report which will be giving us Profit center wise debit/credit for given account numbers...
so we moved to Profit center accounting---> used the cube 0PCA_C01,,modeling is as follow:
    0EC_PCA_1 -> 0PCA_C01
we extracted the datasources 0FI_GL_1 and 0EC_PCA_1 in R/3 whose debit/credit info is not matching for the given G/L accounts.
Please let me know which datasource will be suitable to get profit center wise o/p instead of using 0EC_PCA_1

    Yes you are right...
but as of now table GLT0 is throwing 0 record whereas relevant data is available in table FAGLFLEXT, same has been discussed with FI consultant ,,,anyways its okay...
my second worry is on Fiscal variant...
we need historical data which is based on V3 (apr to Mar)---->present in old R/3
however in new R/3 we have implemented K4 (Jan to dec)---> present in New R/3
    >
Data modeling is done for both to new BI ,means:
BI7 is talking to old R/3 and New R/3
so we have historical data till mar09(coming from old R/3 (V3)) and fresh data coming from New R/3 (K4) since apr09
    >
now the problem is we have data for all periods but due to difference in fiscal yr variants we will be having data in BI as follow:
    Mar 09 - 12/2009 (V3) - data available
    Apr 09 -  04/2009 (K4) - data avaiable
here we are seeing data avaiable for both mar and apr but due to difference in fiscal yr variants we are not getttin data since 01/2009 till 03/2009 nevertheless its present ...reports are based on fiscal period/year so if user wants to view report for the period 01/2009 - 03/2009 then it cant be viwed....
lets know yr opnion on this

  • I need a authorisation code for my logic 7.1 software.

hi folks, got my self a wee problem here in Scotland.
I recently tried to install a new operating system on my Mac, tiger to be exact. for some reason I couldn't install it on my main hard-drive. there was an installation error and it wouldn't go any further in the installation process. as you all know logic 7.1 needs this operating system to work. this is my first problem, why doesn't it allow me to install it on my main hard-drive on my comp???
my second problem is this. I have a carillon external hard drive which I use for my audio and arrangement files. when i tried to install the new operating system on my crrilion hard-drive the set-up process worked fine and if i boot up from my carilion drive the operating system works fine. i then proceeded to install logic 7.1 and it works fine, now that i have installed the operating system on my external hard drive. (is this an ok way to use my new software up-grades?) the only problem i have is that i cant connect to the internet when i use the new operating system on my carrilion drive. therefore i cant verify my logic 7.1 software via the net. i really want to authorise it now and when i start the software it states that my software will only work for 5 weeks with no authorisation code. the question i ask is how do i get my authorisation code from the logic website using another computer? i want to activate it manually for now untill i get my internet connection sorted.
is there anyone else out there who has experienced the problems stated above and could you please help me out as im getting severly frustated and dont know how to give myself peace of mind. could you please help?
thankyou to everyone who hears my pain. x

Sounds like Disk Utility may become your new best friend. Use it to make an Image, onto your internal drive. voila-authorizations are XSkey dependant, not system dependant.

  • Need Oracle HTTP Server for mod_plsql and link to download software

    Hi all,
I want to use mod_plsql to publish HTML from the database.
Therefore, I need an Oracle HTTP Server with mod_plsql.
I have installed the "Oracle HTTP Server with Apache 2.0 10.1.3.1", but there is no mod_plsql included! The welcome page refers to a "Oracle HTTP Server Standalone Administrator's Guide Based On Apache 2.0" which is not installed and can' t be found on OTN.
Can someone give me a link to Oracle HTTP Server installation software which includes mod_plsql?
    Any hints are welcome!
    Thanks, Markus

Based on the version of the database, you could use the listener from that - the same XML DB uses. That would not require an application server install at all.
Alternative: the mod_plsql replacement cartridge off Tom Kyte's site: asktom.oracle.com. Source only - compile against your preferred Apache

  • MVC-BSP as a logical link

    Hi All,
I have a MVC-BSP and Iu2019m looking for the information how can I link this BSP (like a logical link) in the crm2007.
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
According to ur requirement u need to create a transaction launcher for ur BSP-MVC . Follow the bellow steps.
    1. Define URL parameters for transaction launcher for ur BSP application and pass ur main controller name and main page name like
    Application - MAIN.Do
    Page         - MAIN.HTM
    2. Create a transaction launcher of URL type and pass URL parameter id over there.
    3. After follow all steps for transaction launcher like logical link, assign logical link id to direct link group  and assign to navigation bar profile.
    4. In ur business role check the checkbox for this logical link from visible direct link.
Now test ur transaction launcher. It will work.

  • Getting Printer Destype for Report Printing

    Hi all
    I am using 9ids.
On server side it works fine
         set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_DESTYPE,PRINTER);
         set_report_object_property(rep_id,REPORT_DESNAME,'\\Admin1\NPR');
Now i want from client side where report server is not loaded but printers are installed on client machines.
I want from form to get that client printer and report output on client printer
    some ideas.

    Hi,
actually three things need to be true for Reports Server to be able to print on a local printer.
    1. The local printer must be a network printer
    2. The network printer must be configured on the server that runs the Reports Service
    3. The Reports Services provess must run under a user that has network access privileges. This can be achieved by starting the HTTP server (e.g. OC4J in Oracle9iDS) while being logged in as such a user.
You can use Java in Forms to get a list of printers configured on the client, but I haven't looked at this long enough to tell if there is a chance to determine whether or not a printer is a network printer.
I think that downloading teh Reports as a PDF document in teh Browser and then using teh Acrobat Reader print option is a good alterantive (if not for mass printing)

  • Need to get .ENV and reports.sh set up correctly for 9i/WebUtil

We have been editing default.env, a app-specific version of default.env called duris.env, and reports. sh, trying to fix the conflict between Forms WebUtil and Reports in 9.0.2.0.1. Now, it's to the point that I can't even run Reports from Forms without core dumping(direct URL calls to Reports work fine) .
I am pasting the contents of these 3 files into this note, in hopes someone can look at them and tell me why Reports won't even run from Forms any more. Any suggestions are welcome. My email is [email protected].

  • How to create logical link for report and make that available in webui

    Hi All,
Please  mention the steps to creae logical link for standard report(BI) or customized report and assiging it to work center,
    Thanks,
    priya

There is a good guide available from SAP: service.sap.com/crm-inst
It goes into most details you would want to know on including BI reports.
The path is SAP CRM > SAP CRM 2007 > CRM WebClient UI
    cheers Carsten

    Hi petro_jemes,
Just a little claritification, you need to add the value to the variable "[string]$ou", and also change the language in the variable "$emailbody" in the function "Get-ADUserPasswordExpirationDate".
    I hope this helps.

    Regards
    Nik.

    Nikhil,
Instead of declaring 10 lines, please declare a variable of type STRING.
Then append each line of your material text and concatenate it into the string.
Then you can comfartably have one long text and have it displayed to the user.
Please let us know if any further information is required.
    Thanks

  • Logical link for link to internal server

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to create a logical link which refers to a link to the internal server.
I need to create a work centre which will refer to the intenal server link. Can anyone tell me the settings for the same. I have configured the transaction launcher but I am confused as to what is the inbound plug target id I have to mention.
Please let me know the settings. Thanks.
    Regards
    Yogesh

    Hi,
I was making a mistake in the URL region when calling the address, I was calling the value of a link but forgot to put it between &ITEM., thats why it returned me that error.
Now i can see the page result altough I cannot retrive the file yet, but I think it is some php parameter I'm not passing correctly in the URL.
Thanks a lot for the help, it solved my problem.
Just another thing is it possible to call that link and close the new page right away? Itś a bit awkward for a user to click a download link and be redirected to a page where it will only present the download and after that he need to return to the previous page...
    Thanks,
    Alexandre.
