Need defectid or patch no that fixes upgrading transaction logs to 4.7.25

Hi,
When I am upgrading transaction logs from 4.1.25 to 4.7.25, I faced below error message:
db_checkpoint: Ignoring log file: /export/data/backup/log.0000000001: magic number 88090400, not 40988
db_checkpoint: Invalid log file: log.0000000001: Invalid argument
db_checkpoint: PANIC: Invalid argument
db_checkpoint: process-private: unable to find environment
db_checkpoint: DB_ENV->open: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
I have followed the steps mentioned in berkeley db upgrade document:http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/berkeley-db/db/ref/upgrade/process.html
In one of the forum discussions,they have mentioned this problem as known issue and provided the code to solve the issue.

Around 2:30 each day my transaction log backup drive (L:) runs out of space. As you can see, transactions are getting backed up every 20 minutes, and the average size of the backup files is about 5,700,000 KB.

Patched pidgin that fixes msn nickname bug

Hello everyone !
Although this is my first post on the forum i've been a regular arch user for quite a while now. As some of you might have noticed, there's been a bug with the nickname that keeps getting reset to your default name in the MSN protocol of pidgin. Its not an actual pidign bug, but a change that has been made in the msn server. Details can be found on pidgin's bugzilla here : http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/10763. A patch has been submitted and will be included in the next release. But, since this bug has been really getting on my nerves, I took the patch and integrated it into pidgin's PKGBUILD. I'm posting it here if ever there are other people who are interested by it.

Keep getting errors from application log that indicates transaction log is full but it has plenty of space

Dealing with a 4rd party application that inserts into its log table, but watching sql profiler i see a ton of the same traffic. Its trying to insert into the table, but generates an error that mentions the transaction log for that DB is full.
Well, earlier I had reset the recovery mode to simple, from full since this is a test system and dont really care about recovery.
So the message mentions to check the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases and there the value is 'CHECKPOINT'. At least at that point in time.
There is plenty of space in the transaction log and the physical disk has plenty of space as well.
What could be causing the error that seems to suggest the transaction log is full, when in fact it is not?

What is the setup for autogrowth on the log file?

I choose to use LP9 with Snow Leopard myself (10.6.8 and 9.1.6) for most of my commercial work simply because I find that combo very stable and provides the best overall performance for my setups here... but I am also using LPX with Mavericks as part of my client support and that works fine too although with a drop in performance due to the heavier demands made on the hardware by the newer OS X and LPX graphic routines for example..

I am having the exact same problem with trying to sync my iPad with my computer. To make a long story short, I had to reinstall Windows for my computer and therefore had to reinstall itunes.
I have done back ups in the past for my ipod touch and other ipods with no problems, but unfortunately I have never been able to back up my iPad. During a sync, the iPad would always disconnect from my computer and it would never finish. it would say the connection was lost, but nothing is wrong with the connection.
So now I have over 100 apps and thousands of pictures that I am afraid will be deleted if I run the sync in itunes. I have tried to transfer purchases and it goes through the list of apps, but nothing is ever transferred.
Any help would be appreciated. I am not interested in jailbreaking my iPad to solve this problem. There should be a fix for this and I want to upgrade to ios 4.3 as the original poster. Please help

Your suggestion sounds very promising - I didn't know about 'cloning'.
Yes the idea is to backup the laptop -    I thought I would just move it all now, new - and then keep saving/dragging physically   across to the new drive myself each day or two...
Would this be the sizeof the internal hard drive = c.500 gb ?   =   under the HD icon on desktop is written :

I can erase and start agin on the new external drive - so this plan is to make two partititions, rather than the one at present, and make one of them 500 gb ?
I have found CCC [carbon copy cloner] googling - looks good.
When CCC site says it backs up the hard drive - would this mean all my files [over 100 gb] that are mostly in folders on the desktop, plus the others in itunes, iphotos etc found in the HD icon, would all copy across successfully [wherever they are in the computer ] ?

You can open the open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" and drag the home button to where you want it to appear.

The file you'll be looking for that has most of what you're looking for - messages, address book, etc. is the Entourage Database. The verison of Microsoft Office I run (on Lion) is Office 2008. By default the Entourage Database for this verison is at user/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/Main Identity/Database. That folder (Main Identitty) also has your rules, signatures, and such. You'll have to recover this file from whatever backup you have. If you have a different version of Entourage, the file location will be a little diffferent.

Urgent help needed while applying patch for upgrade with conflicts

I try to upgrade 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3 on LInux environment.
I have to apply patch P1253900 before the upgrade per oracle doc.
however I got following conflict:
