Need help about a dll with panel function

Hello,
I try to create a DLL file with a graphical panel, and i want to use it on an other platform with visual c++ compiler.
to release this DLL, i use an UI and generate a code with the option : Tools\UI to Code Converter.
now i have a code which can create a user interface without the file .uir
During the compilation there is no error, but when i want to test/execute it on Visual C++, I have an error message : The memory cannot be read, address 0x00000000.
Someone can help me about this? and if you want my project to see the code, i can give it.

One quick question: are you trying to avoid needing to install the LabVIEW runtime on the target machines? If so, I don't believe packaging it in a DLL will accomplish that. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think LabVIEW created DLLs still have dependencies on the LabVIEW runtime.)
In general though, I agree with your suspicion as to why it isn't working. One test you could perform to clarify the situation would be to added another VISA write and DLL read in line after the second form in your attached JPG. If the resource is hosed up after your DLL read also, I agree, it would point to the DLL calls causing the resource to hang. Perhaps the process of translating the VISA resource name from a string to the actual resource object causes the VISA session to be tied to the scope of the DLL function call (hence automatically releasing when the call is completed)? If so, maybe passing the actual VISA resource name would help. The VISA resource is really nothing more than a pointer to an object (a LVRefNum). From the perspective of language independence, I think that probably amounts to a 32-bit integer.
Also, perhaps you could just avoid building this level of granularity into the DLLs? The idea of creating a DLL is to abstract away some complex task. I'm not sure what benefit you get of creating DLLs out of such basic functions.

My understanding is that you have a function that returns a refcursor and is called by a java app.
Because this is a commonly used bit of code, you also want to reuse this cursor in other bits of sql and so you want to include it like table in a bit of sql and join that refcursor to other tables.
It's not as easy as you might hope but you can probably achieve this with pipelined functions.
Is it a direction that code should be going down? yes, eventually. I like the idea of pulling commonly used bits of code into a SQL statement especially into the WITH section, provided it could be used efficiently by the CBO.
Is it worth the effort given what you have to do currently to implement it? possibly not.
what else could you do? construct the sql statement independently of the thing that used it and reuse that sql statement rather than the refcursor it returns?

Try restoring it: Make sure you are following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again.
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.

We need help on struts configuration with ColdFusion 10 using IIS.
Earlier we were using ColdFusion 8 with IIS 6 for one of our application. This application internally calls struts. After upgrading to ColdFusion 10 struts calls are not loading. We get 404 error.
In ColdFusion 8 struts were configured using actions extension .do in IIS from this file-
C:\ColdFusion8\runtime\lib\wsconfig\jrun_iis6.dll.
But in ColdFusion 10 this file is not present as ColdFusion 10 uses Tomcat in place of Jrun.
Also there is no information in ColdFusion log file.

I am in a similar situation, sharing internet with my neighbor. Do you think it would be plausible to hook up a vonage phone adapter to time capsule's ethernet port if time capsule is bridging from my neighbor's router in the configuration you have described? A check of my upload speed shows 1.67Mbps (powerbookG4 w/ airport extreme). Vonage reccommends 90kbps minimum upload speed. Am I going to lose some speed putting the Vonag adapter behind time capsule?

If its booted, try "eeprom boot-device=disk"
If your at the OBP, "setenv boot-device disk".
If that doesnt work check the value of "diag-switch?".
It could be booting off the the diag-device instead

Need help re-synching iPods with new computer and getting iTunes to recognize our iPods (it doesn't even recognize them when they're plugged in).
Hubby wiped my harddrive for me, so now I need to get everything back in proper places. I'm using windows XP and installed iTunes once again (I believe it's version 8). I also installed all of my iTunes songs. Now I need to know where to go from here. We have 3 iPods and I need to get them all synched once again. I know how to create different libraries for each of us, but I can't figure out how to get our songs back into our iTunes libraries. When I open iTunes and plug in an iPod, iTunes doesn't even show that an iPod is plugged in.
What do I do now to get each of our iPods synched with our own libraries?

Okay, now how do I synch all of our ipods with our individual libraries (I don't want all of my kids' songs and vice versa)? We each have hundreds of songs on our ipods that we don't want to lose.

I am trying to intergrate Dotnet DLL with coldfusion. The basic perpose of this DLL is putting value in cache.
My code is working fine on my local machine but it giving me problem on live server.
It is throwing "java.lang.NullPointerException" error.
Description of task:-
DLL:-
made in : Dotnet 3.0
Functions:-
setCache:- setting a string into cache.
getCache:- getting value from cache.
ClearCache:- Clearing all value from Cache.
Local Machine:-
OS: window server 2003
Coldfusion version :MX8
coldfusion Product level:-Developer
Result:-Task is working fine.No error what so ever.
Live server:-
OS: window server 2003
Coldfusion version :MX8
coldfusion Product level:-Standred
Result:-Task is throwing error "java.lang.NullPointerException"

Anyway for some strange reason there is no Coldfusion .NET service in my services control panel even though I am running CF8. I have since downloaded the .NET service installer, run it and done a restart but I can still see no such service and the error continues?

Hi, I need your help on creating a class called Complex for storing and performing arithmetic operations on a complex number. I am very new using java. The header of the problems is as follow:
Create a class called complex for storing and performing arithmetic operations on a complex number. Private data members should be provided to store the real and imaginary parts of the Complex object. Provide two constructor methods: one with no arguments that initializes the Complex object to 0 + 0i, and one that enables an object of this class to be initialized with arguments when it is created. Inclued public member functions to:
- Imput a Complex number from the Keyboard.
- "add" two Complex arguments and store the sum in the current Complex object.
- "substract" two Complex arguments and store the difference in the current Complex object.
- "multiply" two Complex arguments and store the product in the current Complex object.
-a toString() method that returns a String displaying a Complex object in the form a + bi, (when a is different than 0 and b is different than 0).
I will appreciate your help about how i can create a constructor method that initialize the complex object to 0 + 0i.
I am really stuck in creating the constructor for using it in the add, substrac, and multiply method. Another problem that i have is that when a user enter a complex number, they are going to enter as
(3.2 + 2.7i) so what i am going to do with the "i"?

Your first constructor is good.
You seem to thing the second constructor "...that enables an object of this class to be initialized with arguments when it is created" needs to take the string "3 + 4i". You may want to clarify with your instructor, but I don't think that's necessary. Instead, it should probably just take two float or double arguments--one for the real part and one for the imaginary part.

Need help to create report with jpeg/gif image

Hello,
I need help with creating a form with a special jpeg/gif seal. I never done this Java. Until now, I created all forms with ansi C++ with HP escape characters to draw lines, boxs, and text. This form will contain boxes which is populated with database information read from a text file.
Since this form contains a special seal on the upper right, I don't think it can be done with old fashion ansi C++. How can I create a form with Java and create it as a simple exe to just print the form to a specified printer.

I am creating a form with boxes (lines and text). What is special about this form is that it has an image jpeg or gif at the top right corner. Is is a state department seal. Up to this form, I had used ansi C++ and print out escape HP character to print out the lines, boxes, and text. I have no idea how to print out the image. I am new to JAVA and only 1 class in it. Is there sample code out there to create this type of form with the image? I need a starting point.
