Need Help Connecting (2) 2950 switches together, cant see each other

Can anyone please help me get my switches talking? I am currently in training for entry level certs and can't continue until i get these talking.
I have two 2950 switches connected via port 0/1 on both switches. (tried both crossover and regular cat5 connections)
I have both ports active and both VLAN 1s active and both ports set to switchport mode trunk
There is no port security enabled. Both switches have IP's assigned in the respective default VLAN 1.
IP address 10.1.10.10 for switch 1
IP address 10.1.10.11 for switch 2
VTP is set to server on both, ( I tried transparent on both as well )
I cant get these switches to ping each other and or access telnet from each other. If i connect an outside connection i can telnet individually to each but they wont see each other through ping or CDP Neighbors.
Any ideas?? Please help as i am trying to get my CCENT in a few weeks!

The ports in the same vlan don't do local switching per default on a ME3400. You have to enable local switching for a vlan with the commands "vlan xxx" and "uni-vlan community".
But, only 8 ports can be in the same vlan. So, maybe you have choose the wrong switch if you need a normal L2 switch. Normally, in Metro Ethernet you don't want local switching between user ports.

Home sharing suddenly stopped working. All devices have home sharing enabled, all devices are using the same network but cant see each other

I've gone through all the Googling and support forums I can handle.. They all tell me to the same things. I have done everything required and quite honestly Home Sharing was working for quite some time. So I don't think I changed anything.
The only culprit I can think of is the wireless network. We had to call Comcast and reset our service, and they gave us a new modem. Our router is also new.
Is there a setting in a router that lets multiple devices connect but blocks each of them to each other? That seems to be what's happening.
Apple TV2 can see our connection no problem and can download trailers (downloading movies never works though!!!), we have two Macs and two iPhones and all are on our wireless and none can connect to one another using Home Sharing.
Please help!! This is an odd one!!

I believe this is true. Alas, I wrote this a while ago and the link is dead. I can't totally remember what the issue was.
But, looking through the PDF for the Linksys e2000, searching for 'filter multicast' I see this:
Filter Multicast The multicasting feature allows for multiple transmissions to specific recipients at the same time . If multicasting is permitted, then the Router will allow IP multicast packets to be forwarded to the appropriate computers . Select this option to enable the filter . This option is disabled by default.
And in my settings it's been enabled. So maybe try that.
Filter multicast is under Securtiy>Firewall after you log in as admin.
Why it's disabled by default I do not know.

Need help trying to arrange 3 fields all near each other..in a region.

I have 3 fields and i am trying to arrange all near each other..
But i cannot
The space is like
Empno.. Fieldnename.....*empname*......................................fieldempname samplefield sampleno
I am trying to understand why is there too much space between empname label and the field empname
Note field empname is a list item.
I have currently used field.= no and reduced the space difference
Begin On New Line Field
Can any one educate me more on what is a page item field yes or no indicate.
What is the actual purpose of field in page item and also colspan and rowspan
Also best method to arrange columns near each other in a apex form

Hi I had forgotten this option of drag layout . One of the problem is. . I have 3 columns my third columns field
is shown automatically at a different line . Though its label exist in the first line..This happen to last column dont know the reason why
This is specially when i set my last field to no . so that it can exist in one cell..
..Ok Sorted it out..Went into documentation and found about start stop html tables. .and combination of all ..like field even yes,etc

Connecting a 2950 Switch to an existing small network

Wondering what's the best way to connect a 2950 Switch to an existing small network. It consists of a few computers on just basic old Linksys switches, but there's only 1 network cable going to the back room, where we have several computers that need to access the internet. I've had a spare 2950 kicking around (RMA from a customer, all ports work but a good bunch of them do not light for some reason) that I'd like to just connect to the existing network line in the back room and have it piggyback essentially so all the machines in the back room can have internet access.
I'm just wondering how I should go about wiring and setting up this switch to work properly, as it's been awhile since I've done this, and the last time I did, it was with the ancient 1900 series switches :).

Hello,
basically, it depends on if you have different VLANs implemented in your current network or not. If not, you could just connect the 2950 to one of the Linksys switches, using a crossover cable. The default VLAN for all ports on the 2950 is VLAN 1, so all you have to do is plug your computers into the (working) ports of the 2950, without configurung anything else.

I assume GBS Agency Expert 6.7.6c is some sort of database or data source? If you have an ODBC driver then create or use a System DSN to the database. Then you can create a report using that DSN.
Otherwise I suggest you contact the makers of GBS Agency Expert 6.7.6c and ask them how to connect to the database.
Let them know CR is ANSII 92 ODBC 3 compliant.

I just got my ATD and late 2011 MBP up and running. I've not tried running without the power adapter from the ATD plugged in, but I just tried and didn't have any problems with the display not waking. You may want to take your query to the ATD forum - https://discussions.apple.com/community/peripherals/thunderbolt_display - perhaps someone there has experienced a similar issue.

This is NOT a wireless printer (see product spec: http://www.shopping.hp.com/shopping/pdf/ce841a.pdf), you can NOT add the printer to the wireless network. This printer do support LAN connection, so if your wireless router has LAN ports, you can added it to your home network by connecting a network cable from the printer to a LAN port on the router. You need then reinstall the printer as a network printer, to use airprint.
