Need help in HTML(CSV) Dataset pagination!

Dear sir!
Is it possible to create pagination in dataset (HTML or CSV) like MySQL recordset pagination. It'll be great idea show 10 or 20 rows instead of 500 or 1000. And the second question, is it possible to get specific data (rows) from dataset like query in MySQL.

Need Help with HTML Batch Processing

Hi,
New to this forum so be kind
I am trying to work out a way to batch process html's.
The html template is used in our eBay listings.
All the information I want to change is the same.
Eg in my template I have the number "0234" it appears for 6 times, sometimes in the text sometimes in part of the image title I am loading.
I then have an excel sheet listing all my codes that i need to make htmls for - 0234, 0235, 0236 etc etc...
I use say 10 templates depending on what number im doing.
So next cell to the codes (in excel) I list what template I would need.
Now I know in dreamweaver I can search for "0234" in my html & replace to create my new html. But I have 1000's to do, and I am sure I am doing it a long way manually.
Is it possible to use the excel sheet and dreamweaver together to process all these changes in a scripted batch system? and even load which html to use?
Or maybe use a different software?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

The closest to this I have done was in using Photoshop and text files to create hundreds of photoshop designed banners that all had different copy/type on them but based on a template and, the same idea but with pharmacy magnets using InDesign and Excel.
The idea is that you put text boxes in the document and specify a variable for them and then equate those boxes either to variables in a text file or to column headers in an Excel file.
Google on "Data Merging" and perhaps you'll find something.
I'm not aware of a way to do this with html documents but if you approach the html as just a text file, then conceptually, you should be able to create a template whereby you assign a variable to certain divs or input boxes or whatever. Then, you might have to re-process the entire lot to remove the code needed to distinguish a field as dynamic but that would easier to remove.
I'll watch this post as well because massive replacements are always something to know about!

Need help to download csv file in application by writting to outputstream.

Requirment of my client is donloading CSV file from portal.
My approach is:
On clicking "Download" button in JSP I am calling an action in controller and from here I am redirecting call to DownloadCSV.jsp where i am writing to output stream of response.
Action called in controller:

I am able to download the csv file in excel. But after that i am not able to perform any operation in portal page. Mouser pointer becomes busy and cant click on anything.
Second approach followed:
I wrote the code for writting to outputstream of outputresponse in controller action itself and forwarded to the same jsp where my download button resides.
Problem:
Download happens perfectly but the excel in csv format contains the portal framework generated content also other than content i wrote to response.
If u have any other approach to download an excel without redirecting to JSP plz let me know. Coing is being done in 10.2 weblogic portal.
Please help. Its very urgent.
Plz let me know how a file can be downloded in portal context without keeping a file at server side. I need to download file by writting to outputstream.

For downloading binary content that is not text/html, the Oracle WebLogic Portal content management tools use javascript in an onclick event handler to set the window URL to the URL of a download pageflow controller: window.location = url. The content management tools are in a portal so it should be possible for you to do the same thing.
The url is a custom pageflow controller that streams the bytes to the response. It sounds like you already have a pageflow you could recycle to use in that way. You don't want to stay within your portlet pageflow because then you will be streaming bytes into the middle of a portal response. You want a separate download pageflow that you invoke directly, outside of the portal framework (in other words, don't invoke it by rendering a portlet that invokes the pageflow).
You can set the url to invoke the pageflow directly by giving the path to the pageflow controller from the web root (remember the pageflow path matches the package name of the pageflow controller class) like this: "/content/node/nodeSelected/download/DownloadContentController.jpf"
By the way, for the case of text/html, the tools uses a standalone portlet URL so that the text/html is not rendered in the browser window, which would replace the portal markup (because the browser renders text/html by default, instead of giving you a download widget or opening some other application to deal with the bytes).

Noob Needs Help - Importing Html Pages into "My Site"

Greetings
I am sure this is a noob question that may have been asked, but I couldn't find it by searching so here goes.
I jumped right into Dream Weaver, following an online tutorial... and have a decent webpage but I must have skipped some steps or missed something and I would hate to backtrack and do it all over again...
When I began, I just started working on a HTML page... and now that its done, I want to make it a template etc...
But I never created a "site" as far as SITE > NEW SITE etc.
So now that I have, I need to tell DW that "These pages are included... these images are included, all that neat SPRY stuff I have done needs to be "in the site".
I am looking for a button that says, "Hey dummy, you need to select the pages that are included in your site" but can't find it...
Any help?

Need Help Creating HTML E-mail.

I'm trying to create a birthday card for a friend that includes an animated GIF, so the image is comprised of several slices. I've created the HTML file in Dreamweaver, and it looks fine when previewed in Safari. However, when I choose "Mail Contents of This Page" from the file menu, the image is displayed very briefly in the new e-mail message before each slice is replaced by a blue Lego icon with question marks on the sides. Could anyone help me get it to work properly?

I've not done any HTML mail in Mail but I'm thinking the problem might be where the images are being stored.
When you choose "Mail Contents of this Page," you're not mailing the images. For example, go to CNN.com and send the home page to yourself, and look at the mail. There aren't images attached to the mail, just the code. I think you need to put the images on a server where a page can link to them, not just on your computer. When Dreamweaver is showing the page it's getting the images from your computer, same as with the Safari preview. But an email needs them publicly accessible.

But, I think it is difficult to write like this for each component.
I am looking for an optimized solution so that the change will be only in one place.
so that, It wont leads to change so many pages or so many places.
And i have the following assumptions to do this. please let me know the possibility.
1.Implementing custom UI class, extending the JButton/JMenuItem (As the BasicButton/MenuItemUI class does not have setEnabled() method to override) and putting this in UIManager.put("ButtonUI/MenuItemUI","CustomClass).
2.If there is any possibility to achieve this, by just overriting any key in the UIManager
3.By setting any client property globally.
My requirement is to do this only at one place for entire the application.So, that we need not change all the buttoins, sya some 30 buttions are there in a dialog, then we need to override each button class.

I know that to set the font we have to use component.setfont().
But, as per my requirement,i am not setting any font to any component in my application.
i am just passing HTML text along with FONT tags to all the components in my Application.SO, in this case we will get bold letters and that problem fixed when we set swing.boldMetal = false in UI Manager.
But actual problem irrespective of font settings is when ever we use HTML rendered text, when the button or menuitem is disabled,then that one will not be changed to gray color. i.e., it still looks like normal controls, even it is disabled.(It is also reported as bug)
But, as per my knowledge we can fix by overrding setEnabled or paint() methods for each and every component.
But, if we do like that, for an application that has 200 buttons or MenuItems, it is difficult to follow that approach.
So, We should find a way to achieve that only in one place like using UIManager or other one as i mentioned in previous posts if possible.
I hope you understood what my problem is exactly.

Need help displaying HTML files stored in content repository

I have a very simple HTML file stored in a binary attribute (so the file could
be uploaded through the Admin Portal) named "html" in the BEA Repository (8.1sp2)
and would like to display it in a JSP. Here's a snippet from that JSP:

<cm:getProperty node="<%=myNode%>" name="html" conversionType="html"/>
I expected the getProperty tag to fetch the HTML file and render it inline, but
I guess that's wishful thinking. Am I missing something?

I added transactionTimeout="30" to the tag shown below. That did the trick, as
long as I avoided certain combinations of tag attributes. Guess this one's a little
moody.

As per the scenario, there are 4 calls to be made and we are using NWBPM and in the last call the actual respons (text/csv or zip) will come.

I tried with Payload zip bean and the java mapping as mentioned in the response mapping of OM.
Payload zip bean - Zip zip.mode unzip
I am getting the error below in the receiver rest channel -
"Transmitting the message using connection JPR failed, due to: com.sap.aii.af.lib.mp.module.ModuleException: Zip: error occured during processing: java.util.zip.ZipException: invalid stored block lengths"
Java Mapping - used the java mapping in the response of Operation mapping
Here also i am seeing the same error in the channel log as it is synchronous step and the message got cancelled.

Need help with pagination for book

I am working on a book and need help with the pagination. I was able to make the TOC and front matter show the numbers as Roman numerals, and the body of the text as Arabic numerals, but I can't figure out how to restart the numbering sequence for the body of the text. So the front matter is numbered i-xvi, and the text is 17-681. I need the text to start with the number 1. Each subsequent chapter is a section break as well, if that makes a difference.

Click on the page that shall start on number one. Open Inspector palette > Layout inspector (2nd tab) >
Section > Start at: > 1
