NEED HELP IN USING ALL_TAB_COLUMNS FOR RETRIEVING DATA???

A table say T1 contains column like Emp_id,Code.
and there are several Code like C1,C2,C3.
Another table say T2 contains column like
Emp_id,C1,C2,C3.Here the value of the code field of the
T1 table is now column of the T2 table. And the amount of
each code of T1 table is equal to column value of T2
table.
Now I want to retrieve data from T2 table like
C1 200
C2 300
C3 140
I cannot retrieve data like this using all_tab_columns.
I can only getting the column_name but cannot its value.
PLEASE HELP ME...

  • Help! using FM for formating date with to_char()

    Hi,
Basically my requirement is to format the date in specific format (i.e. DD MM YYYY HH24:MM) and it should avoid the padding zeros.
    Ex: 03-Jun-2009 10:01 should be displayed as 3 Jun 2009 10:01.
I was using the below query
    to_char(sr.recievedat, 'FMDD Mon yyyy HH24:MI')...
But the thing is it removing the padding zeros from minuites aswell, which i dont require.
    For example,
    Ex1: 03-Dec-2009 18:10    3 Dec 2009 18:10
    *04-Dec-2009 19:01 4 Dec 2009 19:1.. It should be 4 Dec 2009 19:01*
Can some body help me how to control the FM to restrict the padding to some places
    Thanks
    Phani

    Hi try this
    sql> select to_char(sr.recievedat, 'FMDD Mon yyyy fmHH24:MI') from dual;example
    SQL> select to_char(to_date('01-jan-2009 7:01:06','dd-mon-rrrr HH:MI:SS'), 'FMDD Mon yyyy fmHH24:MI'
    ) from dual;
    TO_CHAR(TO_DATE('01-JAN
    1 Jan 2009 07:01

  • Need help in using DemoIdentity for SSL testing

    Hi everybody,
    What I want to achieve:
I want to test a web service over HTTPS using DemoIdentity.
    What I've done:
1- From Server->AdmingServer->Keystores, I configured AdminServer to use DemoIdentity and DemoTrust Keystores.
2- From Server->AdmingServer->SSL, I configured it to Use Server Certs so that I don't have to define a Service Key Provider.
3- I created the Business Service with HTTPS endpoint.
    What I got:
1- the backend system is showing an error that peer (OSB) did not send certificate.
2- in AmdinServer log, I see that OSB has successfully loaded DemoIdentity and DemoTrust. But after backend sends a certificate request, I see this line:
Returning no identity certificates, because certificate request message contains no CA names
    My questions:
What does this mean? what am I doing wrong?
I've been trying to do this test for the past two weeks with lots of failed attempts. I've read almost all of the manuals regarding security and WLS and OSB.
Please respond with something from your experience, don't refer me to manuals :)
    Thanks in advance

Hi Faisal, thanks for the response.. here is what you asked for..
1- Webservice client is a Proxy Service in OSB server. And the Webservice is accessed through another system (IBM Datapower).
2- It's one way. Only my server needs to send it's certificate to them.
3- SSL debug is enabled. and here is the log: (I'll post config.xml in the following reply)

  • Can I use SYSDATE for retrieving data?

    Hi all,
I'm working on MS Windows XP SP3 and my date format in oracle is '01-DEC-2008'. Now I have created a table with DATE type column then I insert a record in it using the SYSDATE like this
INSERT INTO Birthdays (ID, Name, BDate)
VALUES (1, 'Zikas', SYSDATE)Then when I try to retrieve this record after I have inserted in (in the same day I mean) by the Select statement
    SELECT *
    FROM Birthdays
WHERE BDate = SYSDATEthere is no records retrieved. So how to insert a record with SYSDATE and then retrieve it also using SYSDATE?
    Thanks in advance :)

    Zikas,
Sysdate gives you current data and time and you saved your record in past (like 1 minute ago or 1 hr go), though date are same but time is different as mentioned in the previous post. Take a look this example and make sure you commit after insert.
    CREATE TABLE birthday (
       id NUMBER,
       name VARCHAR2 (30),
       bday DATE
INSERT INTO Birthday (ID, Name, BDay)
    VALUES (1, 'Zikas', SYSDATE)
    commit;
    SQL> select * from birthday where trunc(bday)=trunc(sysdate);
            ID NAME                           BDAY
             1 Zikas                          28-DEC-08Regards

  • Need help in using FM BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA

    Gurus,
I need help in using the FM BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA. The FM is returning a message that says "The field MARA-MEINS/BAPI_MARA-BASE_UOM(_ISO) is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry".
I have supplied the necessary details and yet the FM won't push through.
If possible, please post sample codes.

  • Need help with representing 2 bits of data in a column

I Need help representing only 2 bits of data in a column in order to save space.
    Is that possible?

    CommitMan wrote:

Is that possible?Yes - using Assembler....
If you need to count bits to save space, then you must be on 70's, or early 80's, hardware. So using Assembler should not be a problem. Let me guess.. a 8051 microcontroller from the 1980?
Here's what the 8051 code and memory optimisation manual says:
    >
The simplest and best way to get dramatic improvements
in efficiency is to look for all variables that will have only
binary values (0 and not 0), and define them as type 'bit‘:
bit myVar;With bit variables, the full set of 8051 bit-level assembler
instructions can be used to generate very fast and
compact code. For example, the following C code:
    myVar = ~myVar;
    if (!myVar)
}Generates only two lines of assembler:
    B200    CPL myVar
200006  JB myvar,?C0002This example uses only 5 flash bytes and 8 CPU cycles.
When you use bit variables, you can implement a
nontrivial line of C code with just one assembler
    instruction.
    >
<i>PS. Yes, the above is really from a manual for a real 80s microcontroller. And yes, I'm poking fun at your question as saving bits were a problem in the 80s and prior. It should not be a problem in the 21st century information system and database.</i>

  • Need help in developing BADI for IT0001

    Hi All,
I need help in developing BADI for IT0001.
On IT0001 create or change, there is need to update IT0017 with following data from IT0001
    -Company Code
    -Cost center
    -Business Area
    -Begin and End Date.
Other fields from IT0017 need to be derived from Position and update in IT0017.
Please guide me how I can address this. I do not want to go for dynamic action, as it is not getting evoked during background jobs.
I am new to BADI development and will appreciate step by step instructions.
    Thanks

    Hi,
follow the below steps to achive
    Steps:
    1.     Execute Business Add-In(BADI) transaction SE18
    2.     Enter BADI name i.e. HRPAD00INFTY and press the display
            button
    3.     Select menu option Implementation->Create
    4.     Give implementation a name such as Z_HRPAD00INFTY
    5.      You can now make any changes you require to the BADI within this
implementation, for example choose the Interface tab there are 3 methods avialble
    6.     Double click on the method you want to change, you can now enter
            any code you require.
    7.      Please note to find out what import and export parameters a
method has got return the original BADI definition
(i.e. HRPAD00INFTY) and double click on the method name
for example within HRPAD00INFTY contract is a method
    8.      When changes have been made activate the implementation

    Hi All,
I am new to TestStand. Still in the process of learning it.
What are Parameters? How are they differenet from Variables? Why can't we use variables for passing data from one sequnece to another? What is the advantage of using Parameters instead of Variables?
    Thanks in advance,

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.
