Need help on EJB deubugging

Could you do me a faviour to post the example REMOTEDEBUGGING.JWS which can be seen on "Online Walkthrough Demo 'Remote Debugging EJBs in WebLogic'".
I was frustrated with debugging EJB on weblogic under JDevelopper.
Thanks
CHENLW

Here is the procedure I follow
1. configure weblogic startWebLogic.cmd file according to the instruction and start it
2. create a EJB project contains HelloWorld.java, HelloWorldBean.java, HelloWorldHome.java and Client.java, Bean has one method hello(), just return a String
3. in JDeveloper, configure project properties, set RUN/DEBUG to Remote Debugging as the instruction provided by Oracle
4. Then how should I do next?
select Client.java --> Debug --> attach it to the target weblogic
select HelloWorldxxx.java --> Debug --> attach it to the target weblogic
I tried the above and it attached to weblogic, after that, the program suspend there, nothing happen, no debug message, no outcome...
I have a question, the project have no EJB Descripter, How Client.java test program find EJB interface through JNDI?
Thanks

  • Need help in EJB Web Services

    I have been programming an EJB Web Service. I programmed the EJB and I have programmed the Client. It works properly when I execute it in the command line.
    However, I would like to access it using a web page. I have tried with a JSP (I posted some messages in the forum before) but I had lots of problems because of the versions. I have tried with a servlet but it doesn't work (I don't know really how to execute it, where to deploy it, what is the address to write in the iExplorer, and so on).
    Please, if somebody can help me I will be very thankful.
    I am new in developing with J2EE and OC4J and I am desperate!
    I need documentation or a complete example for OC4J 9.0.3.
    Thank you very much!

  • Need Help in EJB 3.0

    HI,
    I am just started with EJB.
    I am getting getting the following exception while running the client Program

    package in.test;
    import javax.ejb.Stateless;
    import org.jboss.annotation.ejb.LocalBinding;
    import org.jboss.annotation.ejb.RemoteBinding;
    @Stateless
    @LocalBinding(jndiBinding="TestLocal")
    public class LocalTest implements LocalTestLocal {
    public LocalTest() {
    public String meth() {
         return "HI this is a test program";
    let me know what changes I need to make the program running?
    Thanks,
    Shyma

    A quick fix is to use the InitialContext() constructor which takes a Map and pass in a Map that contains and entry for
    the Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY key. Your tutorial should mention that as well as the other options.

  • Need Help Understanding EJB 3.0

    Hi,
    I am a bit of a novice when it comes to EJB 3.0 and I'm trying to make some sense out this interesting new approach to developing EJBs.
    Could anybody help me answer the following?
    1. Is an entity (as per the new Java Persistence API) the same as an entity bean (as per the EJB 3.0 specification)?
    2. Does an entity become an entity bean if run inside an EJB container?
    3. Does the EJB 3.0 specification define entity beans or are they supported only as part of the EJB 2.1 support required for any EJB 3.0 container?
    4. Would it be right to say that a bean in the EJB 3.0 sense is designed to run in an EJB container although it can be tested outside of it, whereas an entity will run inside or outside a container and behaves the same reagardless of where it is running from (i.e. does not become an EJB as a result of running inside a container)?
    5. It is my understanding entities (JPA) are not part of the EJB 3.0 specification. If this is correct why are they beeing referred to as entity beans instead of entities to clarify the difference? Is this simply a case of loosely used terminology?
    Thanks.
    Eric.

    You seem to be confusing EJB3 JPA with EJB2 EntityBeans.
    EJB2 had EntityBeans which were complex persistent objects that had complex rules such as having a Home, PrimaryKey, Local, Remote and Bean class. They had no standard persistence mapping.
    EJB3 simplified things greatly by replacing (entirely) the EntityBean model with JPA. JPA is part of EJB3, and EJB2 EntityBeans no longer exist, other than for backward compatibility sakes (the same as EJB1 EntityBeans still exist in the spec). JPA provides POJO (plain old java object) persistence, so has no complex requirement of the persistent classes.
    Persistent objects in JPA are called Entities (not EntityBeans), so there in lies your confusion.
    JPA supports persistence both inside a JavaEE, and in JSE and any other Java environment. Inside the server the JPA entities can be "managed", this just means that the JPA EntityManager is integrated with JTA, so follows its lifecycle. You can also use JPA in a non-managed mode inside a JEE server. Outside of JEE, JPA is always non-managed and has its own transaction API.
    see,
    http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Java_Persistence/What_is_JPA%3F
    for more info.

  • I need help for deploy an EJB to Oracle 8i

    I want to deploy an EJB on Oracle8i, but my JDeveloper 3.2
    doesn't have the option "Enterprise Java Bean to Oracle8i", it
    has only the option "CORBA to Oracle8i" in the deploy wizard. Is
    this correct?
    JDeveloper 3.1 has the option "Enterprise Java Bean to Oracle8i"
    in the deploy wizard. why doesn't Jdeveloper appear this option?
    I need help or information about this.
    thank you.

    To copy the data of one account to another one, you can use the Shared folder, stored in /Users. You have to log in this user in order to copy the files to the folder, and then, log in the new user and copy the files to the folders where you want to store your files. Another option is to use an external drive.
    To start by default with one account, open System Preferences > Login Options, and choose your old account next to "Automatic login"

    how can I insert item in table???If the table you are talking about is an HTML table you need to read upon DHTML
    if the table is a DB table you will need SQL insert either through EJB or JDBC

  • How can this pattern work? need help!!

    the model i need have 3layers:JSP+EJB+SocketServer, i know EJB can act as Socket Client(not Server),but the
    main problem is that i must use a .dll or .lib file(written in
    c) in EJB to packge the socket data.someone says EJB
    can use JNI while EJB Spec won't allow it, i dont't want
    to take the risk also.Is there any other way can work?
    (use runtime in EJB?)
    if EJB can't work in this pattern,can i have another choice? (JSP and SocketServer can't be replaced)

  • Need Help Using JTA / Tyrex

    I am unable to find any sample code for using Tyrex's Transaction Manager and the JTA API. Can anyone help me here? There are a few things I need help with, but if you can help me on any of them that would be huge!
    1. Setting up / Configuring Tyrex
    2. Adding MS SQL as DataSource (and Transaction Domain? It's not clear what that means exactly) (I have the beta JDBC driver from MS)
    3. Writing Code to execute a DB statement inside a transaction
    4. Writing Code to make an object I create participate in a transaction, i.e. you can rollback setting something on my object. e.g. if you an object MyObject had a default "age" of 10 and you called MyObject.setAge( 25 ); and then called trans.rollback(); and then MyObject.getAge() it would return 10.
    I looked on Java.sun.com for some info on using transactions but it appears that they do NOT want to promote Java developers learning the transaction API in that depth. Rather, they'd prefer that you only use the JTA as a client, e.g. through EJB Containers. Does anyone know of some tutorials or something on this stuff any where? I want to write my own transactionable objects/system but there's almost no info anywhere. And Tyrex's website has next to nothing in help too!
    - Robert

    There's been several discussions on the tomcat-user mailing list mentioning Tyrex recently. I have no idea if they're relevant to you, but I remember seeing them go by and wondering what the $#$%)(%^ Tyrex was... <grin>
    You can search the list archives at http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=tomcat-user&r=1&w=2

  • Need help to develop Pythagoras theorem-

    Hi i need help to develop proofs 2,3,4
    of pythagoras theorems in java as demonstrations
    These are applets can anyone help me with it or give me an idea of how to go about developing it -
    the site is the following
    http://www.uni-koeln.de/ew-fak/Mathe/Projekte/VisuPro/pythagoras/pythagoras.html
    then double click on the screen to make it start

    Pardon my ASCII art, but I've always liked the following, simple, geometric proof:
         a                   b
    ---------------------------------------+
    |       |                                |
    a|   I   |              II                |
    |       |                                |
    ---------------------------------------+
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    b|  IV   |              III               |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    |       |                                |
    ---------------------------------------+It almost goes without saying that I+II+III+IV == (a+b)^2, and II == IV == a*b,
    I == a*a and III == b*b, showing that (a+b)^2 == a^2+a*b+a*b+b^2.
    I hope the following sketch makes sense, stand back, ASCII art alert again:     a                   b
    ---------------------------------------+
    |               .             VI         |
    |     .                 .                |a
    | V                               .      |
    |                                        +
    |                                        |
    |   .                                    |
    b|                                     .  |
    |                                        |
    |                  IX                    |
    | .                                      |
    |                                    .   |b
    |                                        |
    +                                        |
    |      .                                 |
    a|               .                  . VII |
    |  VIII                   .              |
    ---------------------------------------+
                     a                    bThe total area equals (a+b)^2 again and equals the sum of the smaller areas:
    (a+b)^2 == V+VI+VII+VIII+IX. Let area IX be c^2 for whatever c may be.
    V+VII == VI+VIII == a*b, so a^2+b^2+2*ab= c^2+2*a*b; IOW a^2+b^2 == c^2
    Given this fundamental result, the others can easily be derived from this one,
    or did I answer a question you didn't ask?
    kind regards,
    Jos

    Please help me on what to do.
    Thanks

    Audio and video are not currently support on Adobe Reader. :-<
    You need to buy a PDF reader that supports them. My suggestion is PDF Expert from Readdle ($US 9.99)

    Your Touch is working correctly. Currently, without unsupported third party hacks, the Touch has NO disc mode. It will only show up in iTunes.
    how do i put programes and games in my ipod touch
    Right now, you don't. The SDK is scheduled to be released in Feburary. Then developers will be able to write programs that will be loadable.
