Need help! Simple session object problem.
Help! I've been working on this for 4 days, but I'm sure it's simple if you are experienced. I'm receiving an error when I try to create the session variable (line 29)
I just want to
A) take the record ID's from a string variable on a sort page,
B) create a string session variable which has those ID's
C) and then pass it to the cart page, where the ID's will be used to display multiple records.
1) (From the sort page), using an ADD TO CART BUTTON, Pass the record ID's in the String chkValues[] to a session variable.
2)Figure out how to be able to access that session variable from the cart page: (The issue is that the form on the sort page already uses a GET method to perform the sort.)

I would value your advice and direction to correct the structure of the code, but I am a very methodical person and first must complete the prototype in JSP before I go on to the next step of applying the MVC structure to correct the inefficiencies. (Also, it will be invaluable to the learning process be able to compare the two.) Just as in learning Math, you must learn the long way of problem solving before you apply the sophisticated, less error prone, and more structured approach.
I have a sort that works pefectly, and displays only the records that have "checks" in the checkboxes. By unchecking the checkbox for individual records, (and then pressing the Sort/Select button), the sort is re-run using only the ID's of records that have been "checked."
When ADD TO CART is pressed, I want to pass the ID's from the displayed records to a persistent session variable. And then when "DISPLAY CART" is pressed, I want to view a sort page EXACTLY like the original sort page, except the variable holding the diplayed records IS the persistent session variable. I'm not sure how to add only unique ID's to the session variable?
I'd appreciate any assistance to complete this step, so I can go on and develop the MVC structure.

Go up to the top of your screen on iTunes and click on 'Store'. Then go down to 'Authorize This Computer'. That should cover part of it unless you've already authorized a bunch of other computers to use your account. If that's the case, you'll have to go to one of those computers and click the button just below it to 'deauthorize your account' from that computer. If you're not able to access the store, check your internet connection to make sure you are connected. Hope this helps.. good luck!

need help for finding objects impacted by size change
for xxx infoobject, due to some requirements, the size to be changed from
char(4) to char(10), in the source database tables as well as adjustment
to be done in BI side.
this infoobject xxx is nav attribute of YYY as well as for WWW
infoobjects. and xxx is loaded from infopkg for www infoobject load.
now that i have to prepare an impact analysis doc for BI side.
pls help me with what all could be impacted and what to be done as a
solution to implement the size change.

You will have to manually make the table adjustments in all the systems using SE14 trans since the changes done using SE14 cannot be collected in any TR.
How to adjust tables :
Enter the table name in SE14. For ex for any Z master data(Say ZABCD), master data table name would be /BIC/PZABCD, text table would be /BIC/TZABCD. Similarly any DSO(say ZXYZ) table name would be /BIC/AZXYZ00 etc.
Just enter the table name in SE14 trans --> Edit --> Select the radio button "Save Data" --> Click on Activate & adjust database table.
NOTE : Be very careful in using SE14 trans since there is possibility that the backend table could be deleted.
How to collect the changes in TR:
You can collect only the changes made to the IO --> When you activate, it will ask you for the TR --> Enter the correct package name & create a new TR. If it doesn't prompt you for TR, just goto Extras --> Write transport request from the IO properties Menu screen. Once these IO changes are moved successfully, then the above proceduce can be followed using SE14 trans.

1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse, and therefore will not, in itself, solve the problem. But with the aid of the test results, the solution may take a few minutes, instead of hours or days.
Don't be put off merely by the seeming complexity of these instructions. The process is much less complicated than the description. You do harder tasks with the computer all the time.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
3. Below are instructions to run a UNIX shell script, a type of program. All it does is to collect information about the state of the computer. That information goes nowhere unless you choose to share it. However, you should be cautious about running any kind of program (not just a shell script) at the behest of a stranger. If you have doubts, search this site for other discussions in which this procedure has been followed without any report of ill effects. If you can't satisfy yourself that the instructions are safe, don't follow them. Ask for other options.
Here's a summary of what you need to do, if you choose to proceed:

Wait for the test to run. It usually takes a few minutes.

4. You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken in “normal” mode, under the conditions in which the problem is reproduced. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
At the top of the results, there will be a line that begins with the words "Start Time." If you don't see that, but instead see a mass of gibberish, you didn't wait for the "Process completed" message to appear in the Terminal window. Please wait for it and try again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

1. MAXIMO and DBLink is GQMFOF
2. GQMMGR adn DBLink is MAXFOFNC
Now i would likw to retrive the data from both the schemas,
i.e some columns from WORKORDER table of maximo schema and some columns from ESTIMATE_HEADER table
of GQMMGR schema..
I'm trying to get the data using DB links, but it is giving TABLE/VIEW doesn't exist.
Please help me on this.

Session object problem. help needed

I have an application where I am showing records in a chunk of 10 a time and have NEXT/PREVIOUS buttons to iterate.
The user fills in the search criteria and hits the search button that inturn shows the data in a chunk of 10.
I am adding an ArrayList to a session object in a servlet. The first time when user submits the search I create the ArrayList and add to a session object. When I try to access that ArrayList in my jsp page it always gives me null but when I click on a NEXT button the ArrayList is no more null.
Here is the servlet code where I am creating adding ArrayList to a session object:

thank youMy first guess is you're simply generating an error. You'll always want to load this on your device in quick debugging over USB so you can see any errors you're generating.
Outside that, if you plan on accessing anything inside the SWF you should be loading the SWF into the correct context. Relevant sample code:

I have forgotten how to do this and the tutorial is no longer

First design and implement a class called PairOfDice, composed of two six-sided Die objects. Using the PairOfDice class, design and implement a class to play a game called Pig. In this game, the user competes against the computer. On each turn, the current player rolls a pair of dice and accumulates points. The goal is to reach 100 points before your opponent does. If, on any turn, the player rolls a 1, all points accumulated for that round are forfeited and control of the dice moves to the other player. If the player rolls two 1s in one turn, the player loses all points accumulated thus far in the game and loses control of the dice. The player may voluntarily turn over the dice after each roll. Therefore the player must decide to either roll again (be a pig) and risk losing points, or relinquish control of the dice, possibly allowing the other player to win. Implement the computer player such that it always relinquishes the dice after accumulating 20 or more points in any given round.
I realize this is a long code, so it would be greatly appreciated to anyone who writes this one for me, or can at least give me any parts of it. I honestly have no clue how to do this because our professor is a dumbass and just expects us to know how to do this...he doesn't teach us this stuff...don't ask. If you are genuine, the program is very easy to write, so, your Professor is correct when he said you should
be able to do it. I'm still very much in the beginner category at java, and it took me only 20 mins to write
(+5 mins to design it on paper). 2 classes in one file < 100 lines. Most of the regulars here would do it in half the time / half the lines.
All of the clues are in the description, break them down into their various if / else conditions. Write it down on paper.
Have a go. Try to achieve something. Post what you've tried, no-one will laugh at you, and you will be
pleasanty surprised at the level of help you will get when you've "obviously" made some effort.
Again, have a go. If you don't like problem-solving, then you don't like programming. So, you gotta ask
yourself - "what am I doin' here?" -

Need Help In Solving Positioning Problem

I have a 3 X 3 grid of JLabels of images. I constructed the grid using the grid layout.
I would like to move a round object which represents a car and place that object in a particular cell. So the grid will be like a background.
My questions are these:
1) How can i position this object in a specific cell based on the rows and column values? for instance if i want to put the object in [1][0].
2) How do i move this object to a different cell using the rows and column values. for instance if i want to move the object in [1][0] to [2][1]

Need help filling this object please!!!
I need to fill shape 1 with a solid color. Shape 2 is what the object looks like when selected. Shape 3 is what happens when I try to fill it with color. I need it to stay within the boundaries shown on shape 1. Please help, I'm relatively new to Illustrator and cannot seem to find out what it is that is happening. I'm working in Illustrator CC.

Can you reuse the outer shape that looks like part of an ellipse?
If you can, you can start by recreating the top one as follows (Smart Guides are your friends):
1) Select and copy the upper/outer elliptic shape to the front (Ctrl+C+F), then lock the original full shape;
2) With the Line Segment Tool ClickDrag between the end Anchor Points of 1) (Smart Guides say anchor when you are there), then drag over the H value in the Transform palette and Ctrl+C to copy it;
3) Click with the Ellipse Tool on the Artboard and insert the value divided by 2 for W and H, then cut it at the top and bottom Anchor Point, then delete the right half;
4) Move the half circle on top of the lower left half circle shape as closely as possible, then select both the half circle and the outer ellipse, click the outer ellipse again and in the Align palette click Vertical Align Bottom;
4) Create a copy of the half circle and move it up by its height, then ShiftDrag it to fit the upper right half circle shape as closely as possible;
Now you should have the curved parts in place, and you only need the straight parts;
5) With the Direct Selection Tool Click each pair of Anchor Points to be connected by straight segments and Ctrl+J to join them;
Now you should have one clean path to fill. After that, you can rotate and move a copy. -

I am was given a new iMac G3 (from 2001) which was really never used.I have not yet had any serious problems with it, but really could use some help with a browser problem.
I have 4 different web browsers that needs the macro media flash player update. The browsers I use are internet explorer, iCab, Netscape, and the original Mozilla Firefox.

As Tom has suggested, plugins need to be installed in the Plug-Ins folder for the browser.
Typically each browser will have its own Plug-Ins folder, usually located in the same folder containing the browser itself. In order for each of several browsers to access the same plugins, the plugins must be replicated and placed in each of the Plug-Ins folders for each of the browsers. The easy way to do that is to hold down the Option key while dragging a plugin to the new location - a copy (not an alias) of the plugin will be generated at the location it is dragged to.
Most plugins will display a Netscape icon regardless of where they are located - this is normal.
It is not unusual for the installer for a plugin to default its install to the Plug-Ins folder for Internet Explorer. So be it. Just replicate the new plugin to the other Plug-Ins folders as needed.
Note that some plugin installs will involve more than one item. For those, be sure to replicate all items for it. Using labels can help identify what is new, what has been most recently added, in a Plug-Ins folder.
