Need help to solve Table Corruption
Hi All,
I am getting 'ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kdldba_sort_1], [428033439], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []' when doing delete/update on a table 'TEST'. As per the MOS note : 1494409.1 , 'Export the table, drop it and reimport.' will solve the issue.
In My case , table TEST has a primary key and foreign key relation with 2 other tables.
If I drop the table TEST after export , I will lose the data in the foreign key referred tables which we can not risk .
Could you please throw some light on below points
1) How to double confirm that the table is corrupted , bcoz analyze table is successful.
SQL> analyze table TEST validate structure;
Table analyzed.
2) Can you suggest me any other process to solve the issue.
Thanks,
Ram
Sorry to miss the information

2) rp0428 : true in case of simple tables , but in my case
TEST primary key has foreign key relation with TEST2,TEST3 . and TEST2, TEST3 has foreign key relation with many other tables. It is like TREE branch structure

Need Help In Solving Writing To Queue Problem
Hi Guys,
I have two threads that are adding to the same message queue. The first one is suppose to add four integers consecutively. Meanwhile the second thread add an integer in between the four integers. Because of that my application is not working properly. I would like that when a thread is adding then the other must wait before it adds. The method that the threads call to add to the queue are all synchronized, but it is still behaving like that.
I need help in solving it.
Thanks.

Please what do you mean by synchronizing on the same object? Can you explain it to me?
When you synchronize a block of Java code, you synchronize on a particular object, which is called the Monitor.
The effect is only to prevent another thread running this, or another block of code synchronized on the same object.
If you use synchronized methods, then the monitor is the object to which the method belongs (or the class if the method is static). The same synchronized method can be executed simultaneously on a different instance of the object. -

Need Help In Solving Positioning Problem
Hi Guys,
I have a 3 X 3 grid of JLabels of images. I constructed the grid using the grid layout.
I would like to move a round object which represents a car and place that object in a particular cell. So the grid will be like a background.
My questions are these:
1) How can i position this object in a specific cell based on the rows and column values? for instance if i want to put the object in [1][0].
2) How do i move this object to a different cell using the rows and column values. for instance if i want to move the object in [1][0] to [2][1]
Thank you all for your helpThis question has nothing to do with Java 2D. I've removed the second thread you started in that forum.
Thank you for providing a link to this thread in the cross post.

Need help in quering table in loop
I have following scenario and need some help:
I have Table A from there I need to select NAME in LOOP and query Table B with each name.
Table B can give me more than one record per call and then I have to select the best record and update the Table A with Table B values (best row).
I have created a global temp table and insert the table B results in that table and then loop through Temp table to decide which record is best. Then update the Table A.
This solution is working but is very slow. I have created indexes on all the tables but still very slow. Is there any solution to make it fast?

ThanksDon't use PL/SQL loops, don't use GTT's, do it in plain sql. If you post the table descriptions and some sample data (preferrably in the form of cretate table and insert statement) and explain how you determine "the best record" in table B I'm sure that someone here could help you with the requirements.

Need help to solve update querry for multiple records.
Could any of you please provide update querry for the following scenario.
Requiremnt:
1. Update the UNIQUE_ID of record ( same Identifier and Identifier_code
where END_Date is not null) with the UNIQUE_ID of the record (( same Identifier and Identifier_code
where END_Date is null).
2. If More than one NULL in END_date then update UNIQUE_ID with max(EFFective_Date) of UNIQUE_ID

This query will not produce results as per requirement:
Try it with following data
Insert into @TempTABLE values (1,777,'abc','2/14/2014 11:15','3/14/2014 9:02')

Insert into @TempTABLE values (6,888,'xyz','3/14/2014 9:02',NULL)
as per the problem statement, all records having 888,'xyz' should be updated with 6 not 7 as max effective date is associated with 6 not 7.
Ashutosh
Nope.
can you check the original post first. It clearly states output as having 7 as id for all the records with 888,xyz
also your above posted sample data is different from original sample data as you've dates jumpled up for the records with ids 6 and 7
Please see the illustration for original sample data
--sample table for illustration
declare @t table
(UNIQUE_ID int,Identifier int,Identifier_code varchar(100),EFFective_Date datetime ,END_Date datetime)
--populate original sample data

Need help with JSF table and scrollable pages
I need help regarding usage of <t:dataTable>
I have a List on my managed bean. It has 50 records.
I am displaying the first 10 records and need to implement paging.
I hear that there is a faces taglibrary called tomahawk which provides a <t:dataTable> and a <t:dataScroller> to implement scrolling.
Is there a sample implentation that I can take a look at to see how I can solve my problem??
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks

[SOLVED :)] Need help with adf table row selection
Hi,
In my application I am displaying results in a table. The DisplayRow property of table is set to Selected
There are Next and Back buttons which help user to view details associated to the next/previous rows.
I am using ADF 11g
When user clicks Next or Previous button, then the selection of the row should also gets updated
To achieve this i wrote below piece of code:
this.tblS.getSelectedRowKeys().clear();+
this.tblS.setRowIndex(count);+
RowKeySet rks = tblS.getSelectedRowKeys();+
rks.add(tblS.getRowKey());+
rks = tblS.getSelectedRowKeys();+
ISSUE:_
When i run application and click Next/Previous Button, all functionalities do take place properly, but a null pointer exception is also thrown._+
If i remove DisplayRow property of table from Selected to Default, every thing works good and no Exception is thrown_+
But as records in my table are going to be around 50-60 everytime, i need to set DisplayRow property of table to Selected.
Is there any way to achieve this? Solve this problem?
Some more details:_
I am using a POJO class to create DataController. This DataController is having a view Object which is used to create results table.
I have defined Primary key for my POJO Data Controller.

Edited by: user11255144 on Feb 8, 2010 5:33 AMHi Arun,
Thanks for replying.
Actually in my application there is one result table and a section that is displaying complete details of the product selectd in result table.
The next/previous buttons are not binded with result table.
What I am doing is, I am puuliing data from VO and displaying it on form, whenever any of these buttons is clicked.
As soon as these buttons are clicked data is coming up, but selection state of table is not getting updated.
So to update selection state i wrote piece of code described in my previous post.
Everything works fine if displayRow property of table is not set to selected.
If i set display row property of table to selected, then i get a null pointer exception with message log defined in previous post.
Although NPE is thrown, yet all data is properly fetched and table selection is also updated. But am not able to get how this NPE is coming and hpw to fix it .
(I need to keep displayRow = selected, for all other cases NPE is not thrown)
Please help..
Thanks and Regards

I give up! I need help to solve this problem.
Just a heads up you will need coffee.
Please this is driving me mad and I cannot solve it I really, really can't! So here it is in a nutshell because I'm done! With trying to solve this by myself because clearly I'm not getting it.
So here is my understanding in short say 101 of networking put simply just as a base of understanding..... you get a IP from your ISP with a gateway IP in a subnet range and within that range you ARP to send from your IP to another IP in that range for the MAC (technically this MAC can still be the ISP gateway MAC and route by IP without knowing MAC for that other IP in your subnet but....works either way) and to send from your IP to an IP out side the subnet your in you send to the ISP gateway MAC where it will be routed.
This is from windows 7 and when you ARP that MAC e6-1f-6d-6c-db-da is my ISP for all of 10. for all of 172.16. to 172.31. for all of 192.168. and 169.254. replys with that MAC every-single-one! From a request by ARP IP sender like 77.96.238.3 (if that was my IP) in 255.255.254.0 for them target IP's! (except the ones in the subnet of the subnet your in) The reply comes from my ISP gateway basically saying for sending to IP's in 10. for all of 172.16. to 172.31. for all of 192.168. and 169.254. is over where my ISP gateway IS! ITS NOT!

The XP TCP/IP stack does not do this and you might think that my windows 7 has a problem it does not because the TCP/IP stack in windows 7 is a rebuild of what the TCP/IP stack was like in XP but whats done is done and that how the windows 7 TCP/IP stack is and that should be a eye opener as to why nothing has been done about this but thats just me saying that but its not really a TCP/IP stack problem. So is that my ISP problem? The answer is no because even if my ISP did not reply you still can send requests from a valid IP like 77.96.238.3 to your ISP a ARP with a target IP that does not and should not exist out to your ISP gateway like 192.168.0.1 yet you can.
The simple fact is this there is no, none and nothing to make a ACL for ARP to drop the target/sender IP's for the 0806 Ethertype.
And I have tried this Dynamic ARP Inspection with both DHCP Snooping/Relay and ARP Inspection in a two port VLAN on the right port for this Trusted Interface to be on and Enabled VLANs for ARP Inspection is set with ARP Inspection Status & ARP Packet Validation enabled and in DHCP Snooping/Relay with DHCP Snooping Status & Verify MAC Address enabled and VLAN set for DHCP Snooping. Does not stop this.
Maybe just maybe if the DHCP Snooping looked at the Option 1 & 3 for the Subnet Mask & Router to know the range that the ARP Inspection can drop ARP for target IP's outside that range because like I said to send from your IP to an IP outside the subnet your in you send to the ISP gateway MAC where it will be routed only then would that Dynamic ARP Inspection work as I was hoping for but sadly no.
So please tell me why I can't simply drop ARP for given target/sender IP's is their another way (and NAT is not a solution) that ideally makes ARP for from 77.96.238.3 as the sender for a request for a target IP of 10. for all of 172.16. to 172.31. for all of 192.168 and 169.254. NOT reach my ISP BUT allows ARP from 77.96.238.3 as the sender for a request for a target IP within the given subnet to my ISP for a reply.
A million THANK YOU to anyone for helping me with thisI really do not get why providing a config would help because if you have a config that does what I need should it not be you to provide a config or tell me how? Why not tell me how if you know how? because I need to understand how if you know what I need to do.
But here is how its setup:

Please check what is the reason for the error.
I am seeing many issues with VO substitution these days which is because the extended VORowImpl is not calling super for those attribiutes which is overridden in the stanard VORowImpl.
Please have a read on the below blog and see whether that is applicable to your VO extension.

If not, please attach the standard and the custom VO files

Need help regarding af:table ADF component.
Hello,
I am using a af:table component to display some data. I have binded the value attribute to an arraylist, whose each element is an object with four variables.
Now in the backing bean, i am trying to use this, CollectionModel collModel = (CollectionModel)mTable.getValue(); here mTable is the RichTable to which i have done the binding of the table.
The code throws an exception saying that java.util.ArrayList cannot be cast to CollectionModel.
Please help me, how to resolve the issue, is this arising because i provided an arraylist to the value attribute of the table? How should i convert the arraylist to a CollectionModel.
Urgent help needed.
Thanks
Ankush GuptaHello,
public void goNext(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
CollectionModel collectionModel = (CollectionModel)mTable.getValue(); // Replcae it with as you suggested ArrayList collectionModel = (ArrayList)mTable.getValue();
JUCtrlHierBinding tableBinding = null;
tableBinding = (JUCtrlHierBinding) collectionModel.getWrappedData();
DCIteratorBinding iteratorBinding = tableBinding.getDCIteratorBinding();
int rowNumber = 0;
ArrayList list = new ArrayList(getUpdatedLines());
rowNumber = Integer.parseInt(list.remove(0).toString());
setUpdatedLines(list);
iteratorBinding.setRangeStart(rowNumber-1);
Row currentRow = iteratorBinding.getRowAtRangeIndex(0);
Key rowKey = currentRow.getKey();
ArrayList tableRowKey = new ArrayList();
tableRowKey.add(rowKey);
RowKeySetImpl rks = new RowKeySetImpl();
rks.add(tableRowKey);
mTable.setSelectedRowKeys(rks);
AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(mTable);
But my problem is i need a collectionModel to work further. How can i do that?
The working of this code is that I have binded a table to mTable, now with some logic i have the list of some specific rows number, which will be used for my navigation (navigation refers to that on clicking the button binded to this goNext func, it will go the first row in the list which i have and so on on the click of button).
Thanks

Need help with a Table with one image in it.
I am attempting to design a site in Dreamweaver CS 4, I have Master Suite. I would like to use a header Logo already created in photoshop and made web ready in .jpg format.
I am looking at inserting a single cell table across the top of page set at a percentage so it appears uniform on more browsers.
The only problem is that there is no way to make (link) the picture to the tables scalibility feature. The table scales up or down, but
the picture remains the set size of the image.
Do I need to attempt to create this some other way?
I like the essence of the above, I created it in Flash and would like to use it or something close in the design and creation of my web site.
A Veteran, Thank You for any help or suggestions. KenImages are static. They don't resize.
Put image in a table cell or CSS division with a compatible Background-Color to fill in the empty regions on super wide displays.
