Need help with Template - unbalanced #EndEditable tag

I am unable to use this template to create a new page and get the "unbalanced #EndEditable tag" error.
If I open the file independently it looks great - otherwise I get the error.
Code for internal_students.dwt
There is an error at line 45, column 79 (absolute position 2188)

  • I need help with the conditional build tag option RoboHelp 10

    I need help with the conditional build tag option. I want to apply CBT to content in a topic. I looked at the Help topics and believed that I applied the feature correctly. Howver, it is not working as desired. In the 2nd sentence below I want the text highlighted in blue to only appear for the printed output and the text printed in purple to only appear for the .htm /online output. Please help.
    There are common tasks used to manage the folders in the Navigator and the folders
    in the BBS Folders Viewer Grid. For more information on these common tasks see Help
    and Support in Success Enterprise. click the links below.

    Hi there
    Using tagging is a two part process.
    Part One
    You create and apply the tags to the information you wish to control.
    Part Two
    You create a Build Expression that is used when you generate your output. The Build Expression typically reads something like: NOT Tag1 (or whatever your tag name is)
    Then when you generate and use the Build Expression, the information tagged is not included in the build.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Need help with the jsp:useBean tag

    Dear Fellow Java/JSP developers:
    I am trying to use the <jsp:useBean> tag in a jsp that displays the values from a javaBean that gets populated by another class.
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" pageEncoding="UTF-8"%>
    <%@ page import = "java.util.ArrayList"%>
    <%@ page import = "java.util.Iterator"%>
    <%@ page import = "salattimes.CalendarParse" %>
    <%@ page import = "salattimes.Salat" %>
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"
       "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
        <head>
            <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">
            <title>JSP Page</title>
        </head>
        <body>
            <jsp:useBean id="test" scope="session" class="calendar.Time" />
            <% CalendarParse sTime = new CalendarParse();
                Time mytime = sTime.runExample();%>
            <%=mytime.getA() %>
            <%=mytime.getB() %>
            <%=mytime.getC() %>
            <%=mytime.getD() %>
            <%=mytime.getE() %>
        </body>
    </html>However, up to now, I am only able to display the values on my JSP page using the scriptlet
    <% CalendarParse sTime = new CalendarParse();
                Time mytime = sTime.runExample();%> to declare and create the object (the method call sTime.runExample(); populates the fields in the Java Bean), and the expressions:
    <%=mytime.getA() %>
             <%=mytime.getB() %>
             <%=mytime.getC() %>
             <%=mytime.getD() %>
             <%=mytime.getE() %>to present the values on the screen. What I would like to do is assign the object that I create to a javaBean reference declared in a <jsp:useBean> tag as follows:
    <jsp:useBean id="test" scope="session" class="calendar.Time" />
            <% CalendarParse sTime = new CalendarParse();
                test = sTime.runExample();%>and then present the values stored in the bean to the JSP page as follows:
    <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="a" />
            <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="b" />
            <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="c" />
            <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="d" />
            <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="e" />
            <jsp:getProperty name="test" property="f" />Is this possible? When I try the above, I get "null" as my output on the screen. When I try the first approach listed above, I get the values I am looking for. Is there a way to accomplish this using the <jsp:useBean> approach?
    Thanks to all those who reply.
    Sincerely;
    Fayyaz

    The code:
    <jsp:useBean id="calendar" class="calendar.CalendarParse" scope="session"/>
    <c:set var="time" value="${calendar.time}"/>Would be roughly equivalant to:
    calendar.CalendarParse calendar = new calendar.CalendarParse();
    Object time = calendar.getTime();I assumed that the CalendarParse object was in the calendar package because that was were your Time class was (when you used <jsp:useBean id="test" scope="session" class="calendar.Time" />"), but when I look back at your original post I see I was wrong and the use of calendar as both the incorrect package and the variable name was confusing. To make the code more similar to your original post the code should have read:
    <jsp:useBean id="sTime" class="salattimes.CalendarParse"/>
    <c:set var="myTime" value="${sTime.time}" scope="session"/>
    ${myTime.a}
    ${myTime.b}
    ${myTime.c}
    etc...Here is an explanation of the parts:
             /* name of the variable */  /* fully qualified class name, package.className */
    <jsp:useBean id="sTime"           class="salattimes.CalendarParse"/>
      /* name of the new object from bean */  /* source of object, variable.property */    /* Scope of new object */
    <c:set var="myTime"              value="${sTime.time}"             scope="session"/>
    /* data to display variable.property */
    ${myTime.a}Where a 'property' in a bean is defined as a method in the form of getProperty(). So the 'time' property is getTime() and the 'a' property is getA().

    Look at all the apdiv's you have.  Those are absolutely positioned layers.  I'm assuming by your post that you are very new to Dreamweaver and HTML and CSS.  I would highly recommend not using absolutely positioned layers until you have a better grasp on HTML and CSS.
    Looking at your code I would suggest that you consider using one of Dreamweaver's built in, or downloadable templates as a starting point and work from there.

    *5: Need help with this. what should my xslt look like to get the desired output???????????????*
    any help or direction will be very much appreciated. Thank you_

    I have below suggestions:
    1. Please use code option given in message editor toolbar for posting any formatted content like XML, Java code snippet etc.
    2. replace & in your source XML with _& a m p ;_ (Without spaces, I have put spaces to make it visible here).
    3. I have modified your XSLT according output XML you have given. I am not sure what you want to do with some elements like <b>, <font>, <var> etc. change below XSLT as you require for these elements.
    Modified XSLT:
    <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" version="1.0">
            <xsl:output method="xml"/>
         <xsl:template match="body">

  • Need help with coding for HTML5 Video with Flash fallback

    Hello, need help with my coding in Dreamweaver CS5.5 for HTML5 video with Flash fallback. Not sure if the coding is correct. Do I need anything else Javascipt etc?

    The reason you see a blank page is because it's trying to load the file that is pretty humungous and there is no preloader. So, you see a white screen till it complets loading.
    Also, the reason why its loading a SWF file and not any of HTML5 type video is because your doctype declaration is XHTML1.0 and not HTML5.
    Change the 1st line in your .html file from:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    to:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    Then see if your HTML5 video types load with <video> tag.

  • Need help with a recordset

    I need some help with a recordset that selects a series of
    vehicle makes that then show models when a make is selected. The
    problem is when I select the make it shows a list of models like it
    should, some of the make lists have five models and some have ten
    or more. What I need help with is how to limit the list to just the
    models and not include the "null" values. This makes my drop down
    list have large empty spaces at the end of the options listed. The
    query is as follows:
    SELECT *
    FROM saa.vehicle_make
    WHERE make = '#FORM.select_make#'
    Question # 2:
    What can I add to this recordset so that I can search on just
    the make alone without the model included. The submit includes both
    of the make and model lists so that makes it tough to break up.
    Here is the recordset:
    SELECT make
    FROM saa.vehicle_make
    ORDER BY make ASC
    Thanks
    Shane

    Sorry I guess I wasn't being clear. The lists work fine with
    the present recordsets but I was trying to clean them up just a
    little. I am using a table in mysql instead of an array for ease of
    maintenance due to the high number of makes and models I am working
    with.
    For question number one I was looking for sql that allows me
    to only show the models in the table for each make no matter how
    many are in the row. Currently when I use the existing recordset I
    get a long list of blank spaces as it is returning the "null"
    fields also. I would like it to just show the models and stop at
    the first null field.
    For the second question I wanted to be able to submit the
    form with just the make listed if someone wanted to see all Hondas
    lets say. Not I have to select the make also so it limits the
    return.
    Thanks for all of the input
    Shane

    I am in the process of designing a new website for myself,
    and while I was researching nicely designed pages to use as
    inspiration, I stumbled upon this site:
    http://www.jeffsarmiento.com/
    obviously, the design is very impressive, but it also
    incorporates a lot of web mechanics that I have been trying to
    figure out, so I will use this page as an example.
    one thing I need help with is backgrounds. as you can see in
    the posted website, the creator used a seamlessly tiled paper
    texture to display the bulk of his content on. also make not of the
    pattern that is located to the left of the paper texture. how do I
    create seamless backgrounds like this that will scale to fit any
    amount of content or any resolution? I can't imagine that the guy
    that made that site created a new size background every time he
    made an update, so there has to be an easier way.
    the second thing that I am having trouble with is general
    site layout. I have read that most sites used series of invisible
    tables to organize there content, but when I open the source of
    this page in dreamweaver, he was using something different. div
    tags? should I be using these? who do I use them? are there any
    general layout tips that someone could pass on to me? perhaps a
    link to a good tutorial?
    please help me. i am very confused.
    thanks so much.

    IMO not a good site to emulate. To wit:
    Top background image:
    http://www.jeffsarmiento.com/images/bg-top.jpg;
    745px
    x 350px 137K
    Main background image:
    http://www.jeffsarmiento.com/images/bg-tile.jpg;
    745px x 950px 130K
    Total page size: 454K (Check here:
    www.websiteoptimization.com)
    Website usability experts routinely recommend a maximum page
    size of ~80K
    Check out the We We Scale @ www.FutureNowInc.com/wewe/ where
    they suggest,
    "You speak about yourself approximately 0,003 times as often
    as you speak
    about your customers. Might that have an impact on your
    effectiveness?"
    That is 100% consistent with the #1 Web Design mistake:
    "Believing people
    care about you and your web site." or to phrase more
    expansively, "Our site
    tries to tell you how wonderful we are as a company, but not
    how we're going
    to solve your problems."
    www.sitepoint.com has some excellent books on making a
    website actually
    attractive and usable at the same time.

  • Urgently need help with this

    Hi!!
    I urgently need help with this:
    When I compile this in Flex Builder 3 it says: The element type 'mx:Application' must be terminated by the matching end-tag '</mx:Application>'.
    but I have this end tag in my file, but when I try to switch from source view to desgin view it says, that: >/mx:Script> expected to terminate element at line 71, this is right at the end of the .mxml file. I have actionscript(.as) file for scripting data.
    This is the mxml code to terminate apllication tag which I did as you can see:

  • Need help with 1 thing

    I followed a tut and learned how to do everything I'll need.
    I'm a kid, so I don't need to be professional about anything.
    Anyways, the tutorial left out the last part. How to publish your
    website. It said to find a guide in the help from dreamweaver, but
    I didn't find it. If anybody could sum it up for me, simple or not,
    it would be greatly appreciated.

    > Would he be able to give it to me
    Yes - he would relay to you the FTP login information sent to
    him by his
    host.
    Alternatively, you could give him the files, and let him
    upload them using
    that same FTP information.

  • Need help with generics

    I have written a java program using jdk1.5. After completing my program I noticed that the compiler was outputting a warning. It tells me that there were a few unsafe operations in my code. Anyway I found out that my code needed to include generics. I was able to figure out how too include some of the generics. I am having trouble with the following:
    [javac] /home/paul/Documents/java/PersonalInfo/src/personalInfo/logic/DB.java:105: warning: [unchecked] unchecked conversion
    [javac] found : personalInfo.logic.FNComparator
    [javac] required: java.util.Comparator<? super java.lang.Object>
    [javac] Arrays.sort(sort, fn);
    [javac] ^
    [javac] /home/paul/Documents/java/PersonalInfo/src/personalInfo/logic/DB.java:105: warning: [unchecked] unchecked method invocation: <T>sort(T[],java.util.Comparator<? super T>) in java.util.Arrays is applied to (java.lang.Object[],personalInfo.logic.FNComparator)
    [javac] Arrays.sort(sort, fn);
    [javac] ^
    [javac] /home/paul/Documents/java/PersonalInfo/src/personalInfo/logic/DB.java:109: warning: [unchecked] unchecked conversion
    [javac] found : personalInfo.logic.LNComparator
    [javac] required: java.util.Comparator<? super java.lang.Object>
    [javac] Arrays.sort(sort, ln);
    [javac] ^
    [javac] /home/paul/Documents/java/PersonalInfo/src/personalInfo/logic/DB.java:109: warning: [unchecked] unchecked method invocation: <T>sort(T[],java.util.Comparator<? super T>) in java.util.Arrays is applied to (java.lang.Object[],personalInfo.logic.LNComparator)
    [javac] Arrays.sort(sort, ln);
    [javac] ^
    The FN/LNComparator class implements the java.util.Comparator class. I have looked at the generics tutorial on the java.sun.com website. I can't figure out what I replace the <T> with to make the code compile and the warning to go away. I have tried <Comparator> but that just gives me an error that says FNComparator does not take any parameters.
    If anyone knows how to fix these warnings let me know
    -Hockeyfan

    I know how to fix it.
    Step 1. Stop writing subject-lines like "Need help with generics". Everyone who starts a topic needs help, that's why people post here!
    Step 2. Don't just post the error message, post the relevant code. In [code ][code ] tags of course.
    Step 3. Stop watching hockey, it'll stunt your growth
    Step 4. Have the FN/LNComparator implement, not the raw Comparator, but Comparator<Object>

  • Need help with session sharing in WebCenter Portal

    Hi, How can I share session between a WebCenter Portal application and the portlets it is consuming?
    Basically I want this for authentication. In the portal framework application, I'm setting a user object in the session, How can I get the object in a portlet?
    Regards,
    Navaneet

    IN the second page, you have to make sure that the session
    has been started.
    Put this at the very top of the page -
    <?php if (!isset($_SESSION)) session_start(); ?>

  • Hi.. need help with a query

    hello guys :)
    I need help with this exercise:
    Find the most common cooking method in recipes that contain tomatoes.
    the 4 tables:
    t_recipes
    --recipe_no
    --recipe_name
    t_products
    --product_no
    -product_name [tomatoes,cucumbers, onions]
    t_integration
    --product_no
    --recipe_no
    t_cooking_mode
    recipe_no
    mode [Frying,baking]
    I am realy lost :S
    thank you

    But... I didn`t understand the first partSorry, what part is that? You probably understood "Welcome to the forum!" It looks like you understood most of what I said, perhaps before I said it. You seem to be on the right track.
    Unlike talking to a co-worker in the next cube, exchanging messages with someone on this forum takes a fair amount of time, so it's worth the time it takes to explain things very clearly, more than you would in conversation. Post all the relevant information, and say exactly what the problem is.
    amm i tried to do this:
    select t_recipes.recipe_name, count(t_cooking_mode.cooking_mode)
    from (t_cooking_mode INNER JOIN t_integration ON t_cooking_mode.recipe_no = t_integration.recipe_no )
    INNER JOIN t_products ON t_integration.product_no = t_products.product_no)
    WHERE t_products.product_name = 'tomatoes'
    GROUP BY t_recipes.recipe_name
    help?Please help by posting whatever you know about the problem. For example, if there's a error message, post the complete error message, including the line number.
    Help the people who want to help you by formatting your code and making it easy to read and understand. This will help you, too.
    For example, here's exactly what you posted, with only the white-space changed to make parallel items, such as parentheses, line up nicely:
    select        t_recipes.recipe_name
    ,       count(t_cooking_mode.cooking_mode)
    from             (          t_cooking_mode
                INNER JOIN      t_integration      ON t_cooking_mode.recipe_no = t_integration.recipe_no
    INNER JOIN      t_products      ON t_integration.product_no = t_products.product_no
    WHERE       t_products.product_name      = 'tomatoes'
    GROUP BY  t_recipes.recipe_nameWhen you format your code like this, it can be very easy to spot errors like unbalanced parentheses. In this case, the ')' right before the WHERE clause has no matching '('. You don't need to use any parentheses at all in the FROM clause. You can simply say:
    FROM     t_cooking_mode
    JOIN      t_integration      ON t_cooking_mode.recipe_no = t_integration.recipe_no
    JOIN      t_products      ON t_integration.product_no = t_products.product_no
    WHERE     ...INNER JOIN is the default kind of join, which makes sense, since the majority of all joins are inner joins. I usually say JOIN (instead of INNER JOIN) because it makes the code more compact and easier to read (at least for me), but I won't be maintaining your code, so do what's best for you.
    What are you trying to find in this problem? Is it a recipe name or a cooking mode? If it's a cooking mode, the why do you have t_recipes.reciple_name in the SELECT (and GROUP BY) clause? Shouldn't you be using some other column, from some other table?
    If I understand the problem correctly, the t_recipes table is not needed in this problem. You won't necessarily use every table in every query.
