Need mapping info...

I have a new project coming up where I will need display a terrain map of a given area, track movement of vehicles in that area (data coming from GPS system w/ JNI interface) and be able to mark certain areas (polygonally) as "known" or "unknown" areas of the map.
It needs to be runnable on Windows, Macintosh and Linux (hence Java).
Is there a Mapping API set in Java that can help me accomplish this? How about the open source community?

Create the mail account as "IMAP" and use these server settings:
Incoming mail (POP/IMAP): inserver.mycompany.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP): outserver.mycompany.com
User name: Should this be the userid that I use for https Outlook Web Access (OWA) login?
It should be the username in Active Directory, typically in the form "domain\usershortname" or "usershortname@fqdn_domain". Don't mix up the Active Directory domain with the mail domain! If not set up different, this should be the same credentials you use to authenticate for Outlook Web Access.

How do I import Map Info Tab files into Spatial for a map of europe via FME and have oracle spatial draw the map without problems?
So far I've got to the stage where I can import the data, spatially index it (in oracle 9i) and get my SVG (scaleable vector graphics) application to view the map.
The problem is that countries that have more than one polygon (more than one row in the database) do not draw properly.
When I view the Map Info tab file in the FME viewer I can see that the data is fine, but I can also see that some of the polygons used to draw a country are donugts and some aren't.
This seems to cause a problem when I import the data into oracle spatial as I don't know if a row in the table needs to be inserted as an independent SDO_GEOMETRY or if it should form part of a larger SDO_GEOMETRY (as in 2 or more rows make up the polygon shape for a country).
I have a feeling that I'm not using FME correctly, because at the moment I have to import the tab file into Oracle then re-insert the data into a spatially formatted table (one with a spatial index) - I get the impression that FME should do that for me but as I'm new to this I don't really know.

MapInfo has a free utility called EasyLoader that allows you to upload a table directly to Oracle. EasyLoader creates the geometries and spatial index. You can download it free from http://www.mapinfo.com/products/download.cfm?ProductID=1044

Have you talked to your carrier to confirm the unlock?
What was the procedure you did to unlock the phone?
Standard unlocking procedure once processed by the carrier:
Backup in iTunes
Erase the phone (ignore restore terminology here)
Plug the phone to the computer and then launch iTunes
Wait for unlock notification.
Restore the backup.

Copying Beat Mapping Info from Tempo track

Hey all.
Does anyone know how I can copy and paste tempo mapping info? I tried rubber-banding the info from the tempo track while holding down the control keys (like the manual says) and it doesn't work.
Everytime that I drag and copy the audio loop, it's not covering my first measure....
I'm working with a 4 bar breakbeat, so it's imperative that all of the same tempo is constant every four bars.

Dan, curious to know what kind of trouble you had, because beat mapping works in essentially the same way whether your source is a MIDI or audio region. Assuming we're talking about just one region (for simplicity's sake)... if you're beatmapping a MIDI region, you should SMPTE-lock the region so that its timing doesn't change. Beatmapping the notes will then force them to appear onto a musical grid by way of calculating tempo changes between the beatmap lines.
Now, let's say you print that piano part as audio. Now you have parallel, concurrent MIDI and audio regions. Other than clicking the analyze button, beatmapping works essentially the same way, except you now have many more potential choices of points to beatmap to (which results in potentially more work/less accuracy). That aside, you would still have to lock the MIDI region so that you preserve the timing of the performance.
Not sure if there's still a function in L9's beatmapping area called "preserve MIDI", but if so I'd disregard this and use SMPTE-locking as the method for preserving the timing of the original MIDI track. I say this because "preserve MIDI" never quite worked as expected in L8 (or L7 for that matter) so I'd be gunshy of it. Anyway, SMPTE-locking regions is tantamount to the same thing.

I need mapping help to generate index if value comes form source. we have 4 fields in item level of source and target side we have to pass the these filed values and sequence number.

my requirement is if A1 filed values comes from source we should pass to text and pass seq_no to constant-1, same as A2,A3 and A4 filed values also we should pass to text and seq_no for A2 is 2 and A3 is 3 and A4 is 4. suppose if A1 value is not coming from source we should pass seq_no for A2 is 1. if A1 and A3 filed values are not coming from source then we should pass seq_no for A2 and A3 are 1 and 2.

                  you can try this mapping
1. Generate the target 4 ITEM's by duplicating the subtree as shown below 3 times.
Now create the each target item starting from first by mapping them to A1,A2,A3 and A4 respectively. I have shown the first ITEM mapping above. similarly you can map A2 to ITEM[1],
A3 to ITEM[2] and A4 to ITEM[3].
2. Now you can map the A* fields to Text one to one as shown below
Please repeat the same for A2,A3 and A4 to respective Text fields.

I cannot find this bug in the bug db and the sun page says sometimes bugs don't show up for security reasons.
The complete absense of info on this bug other than its title means I cannot tell whether this is the same bug I am seeing randomly in production.
Given that I cannot replicate the problem in a reproducable test case I need sufficient info to justify upgrading the prod VM and risk introducing new bugs in an otherwise stable platform.
Is there any way to get more info on this bug ?
Anyone seen a problem like this in their system?
Is it possible Sun has just hidden the bug for no good reason?

My workaround is here. Closing file descriptor directry by calling private native method( closeSocket0 of java.net.PlainSocketImpl ) using reflection.

Removing the battery:
Shut down the computer. Disconnect any cords connected to the computer.
Turn the computer over.
Locate the battery latch on one side of the battery.
Use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn clockwise. The battery should pop up slightly.
Lift the battery out.
Installing the battery:
Place the right side of the battery into the battery compartment at an angle, as shown below.
Gently press the left side of the battery down until it sits flat.
While holding the battery down, use a coin to turn the latch a quarter-turn counter-clockwise. The battery should lock into place.
Note: Keep in mind that once the new battery is inserted, you will need to press the power button to start up the computer.

EO :
Entity Objects are basically based on one table which encapsulate the business rules. These objects are used by OAF page to perform update/insert/delete operations .
Inside EOImpl.java you will find setter() and getter () methods in java we call it as accessor and mutator , each attribute in EO is mapped to column in the data base table .
You can also generate a create () method Validate () method .
Eg : To get the sequence value in OAF you can use Create() method .
VO :
VOImpl (VO) : It just consist of an Data base sql query , you might have noticed while executing a query eg : VO.executeQuery() ;
to perform any validation it provides iteration over and access to the view rows in its result set.
VoRowImpl : Represents a single row in a view object .
You will understand better when you writing a code using voimpl /voRowimpl objects
AmImpl :
It basically performs the Business logic , we will define all our methods to implement business logic .
Eg : you can call a method from controller and define the method Amimpl.java , you can use of initializing the query or
you do DML operation , etc ...
In summery : The main reason why we have java file distribute across EO , VO , AM is because OAF is designed with MVC design pattern ,
in other words we have to isolate the responsibility of code in each layer ( Model , View , Controller ) .Its bad practice to write
the entire code in one single class file .
Eg : Controller class should accept the parameter from user and pass these parameters BC4J files ( AMImpl.java ) and its Job of the AMImpl.java
to perform the business logic and return the result back to to controller .
To enforce the coding standard of MVC design pattern we have these java files EO , VO , AM , CO . with more practice you will understand the various
methods defined in each of these java files .

Need more info on solving script errors -- don't have Webroot on my computer, but it gets tied up for hours at a time with Mozilla script blockages !!!!

I have no such problem with Internet Explorer or when the computer is not connected to the Internet; it is specific to FF. I do not have Webroot Spysweeper on my computer.
Strangely enough, we do not have this problem with two other PCs that use FF, nor did I have it on these two computers during the first few years that I used them with FF. I bought a new PC, moved my files onto it, then suddenly it had the same problem, which is what made me think it was a malware issue.
I checked Windows Defender and found that was not switched on and could not be switched on. So I bought three different anti-malware programs beginning with Malwarebytes and then SpyBlaster and SpyBot S&D. But they did no good.
Just pressing the "continue" button in response to the script error message does not good, since it allows the computer to continue grinding to a halt. Worse, if those scripts are malware, I don't want them sending private info to internet sites, which is apparently their function.
Please help me root out the problem. It has made my computer inoperative for several hours a day for the past few months.
