  • Using Sum field in Sap script

    Hi all,
I am trying to add content of field (Tax VAT) in sap script and put into another symbol using following command
/:SUMMING program symbol INTO sum symbol
but after running me22n tcode to display the PO error occured
    <b>Overwriting a protected field</b>Error analysis
The program tried to assign a new value to the field "<SM_SUM>" even though
        it is protected against changes.
I am modifying medruck std PO script and using standard prog. for it i.e. SAPFM06P.
Please tell me wheather it is necessary to make sum symbol dynamically define in SAPFM06P and how to do this.
    with regards
    Rajvinder Sahni

    Hi...
If you need to summ numbers or do any operation, in your SAP Script you can call subritunes and do all the operations you need.
    On your SAP script write:
/: PERFORM subrutine IN PROGRAM Zprogram
    /: USING &PAR1&
    /: CHANGING &PAR2&
    /: ENDPERFORM
PS: You can use as many USING AND CHANGING as you need.
    And the zprogram goes;
FORM subrutine TABLES t_in STRUCTURE itcsy
    t_out STRUCTURE itcsy.
    data: par1 type n.
    Read the value on PAR1
READ TABLE t_in WITH KEY 'PAR1'.
    CHECK sy-subrc = 0.
    PAR1 = t_IN-value.
DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO
    ADD 1 TO PAR1.
    SEND THE VALUES BACK
READ TABLE t_OUT WITH KEY 'PAR2'.
    t_sal-value = PAR1 .
    MODIFY t_OUT INDEX sy-tabix.
    ENDFORM.
    Hope this helps,

  • Reg : modification in sap script driver prog

    Hi folks,

i havecopied the standard layout medruck to my layout
    and made some changes.
now i have to modify the driver program
in the tnapr table the driver prog for medruck is
    given as sapfm06p
but when i see the source code for that in the
    editor
evrthing is like included functions there
in the incuded there is a form named with "entry_neu"
which has some code calling few functions
    but...
there is no openform,no write form etc.
where should i give the name of the form name that i have
i have developed(changes made to the copy of the medruck)
where should i make the changes in the prog
how about going at modifying the driver program
do i have to assign the o/p type using the tcode nace.
    please give me the steps
please treat it as very urgent
expecting a promt responses from u
    thanks & regards,
    annamreddy

We modified the driver program because there was a requirement to add stuff that was not available in the standard driver program.  Here is what we did.
First,  Copied the SAPFM06P program to SAPFZM06P.  Did not copy all of the includes. Copied only the FM06PE02 include program to ZFM06PE02.
Second,  in the include ZFM06PE02,   there is a form call ENTRY_NEU,  this is the entry point to print the form, notice that there is a function module in this form called ME_PRINT_PO.  This is the function module that will print the PO.  Eventually, you will want to call a Z version of that funciton module.
Third,  copy the entire funtion group MEDRUCK into ZMEDRUCK.  This is the function group which has the function module ME_PRINT_PO.  Don't copy the includes into Z versions.  You don't need to modify all of them.  Only copy them when needed.  Save and Activate.
Finally,  go back to that include program ZFM06PE02,  now make the call to ME_PRINT_PO to the Z version, in my case it is ZME_PRINT_PO.  Save and activate.
Make sure that you change your configuration in SPRO to use the SAPFZM06P program instead of the standard.  Now your form should be printing from the custom driver program.  Modify away!!!!
Please don't forget to award points for helpful answers.  Thanks.

  • RE: BI functional and Technical Specification

    Hi,
Can anybody share BI Functional and Technical Specification for SAP R/3 data extraction for modules FI/CO, SD, MM, WM/MM.
    Thanks.

    Hi Hitesh
Bi Functional Specification is like this where you get the details of what is the report they are looking for and what does that do in detail explanation from the key user of that particular area.
and also you will receive an document saying that the particular tables and fields ...
After receiving that then you will be starting an work by preparing an Design document of what are the objects you are going to use in the system and what type of Data Source your are  using and Targets etc.. This is nothing but an Technical Specification... and this also contains what type of the load is it...
    Hope this helps you..
    Thanks

  • I need Functional Specification in Reports and Scripts to Practice

    hi
    i am practicing ABAP,
I need Functional Specification in Reports and Scripts to Practice
    please any one give me.
    thanks in advance.
    bye

I am not sure what you are requesting will be of any help for you, as functional/technical specifications are specific for each implementation and might be dependent on the configuration on that system.
If you are on IDES try to look through the sample programs provided by SAP and see if you can implement your own version of the those.

  • Need to add special characters in sap scripts

    Hi All,
I need to add special characters in sap script.
I have used them as it is my script, but in the print preview i am able to see '#' instead of those special characters. Can anybody please tell me the way in which we can add special characters in the scripts.
eg. 'Shlesha' i.e. name in inverted colons.
    Thanks

    Hi
If # is coming means, that is the problem with the printer. I think u might have used your local printer to see the print preview.
Don't use LOCL or LP01. Our local printer won't recognize those characters.
Just change the printer name to client printer name. It will work.

    Hi,
you have 4 possibilities.2 at non main window, 2 at main window.
    at non main window.
    1. /: IF &PAGE(C)& = &SAPSCRIPT-FORMPAGES(C)&
    remarks
    remarks
    remarks
       /: ENDIF
    2, /: if &NEXTPAGE& ='0'.
    remarks
    remarks
    remarks
       /: ENDIF
    at main window
    3. Add the remarks at the last item of the main which is printed
    4. add a new item to your main (/E)
        put your remarks in it.
Change your program in such a way this item will print as last one.
       like
        /E REMARKS
    remarks
    remarks
    remarks
and in sapscript program add logic at the end.
    CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
    EXPORTING
    element = 'REMARKS'
    EXCEPTIONS
    element = 1
    window = 2.
I am sure this will do. Make a choice.
