Need to add Danish layout for my keyboard...

Hi,
When I add it in Gnome, it comes up with an error and no changes.
Do I need to edit it in my /etc/rc.conf? And in that case where can I see what to write in it?
Sincerely, Jorgen

I am having a bit of a related issue to this. Gnome, or something else, keeps breaking my keyboard layout, so i loose some danish special characters like ae, oe and aa, and other speciel characters are misplaced. It seems it falls back to a US standard keyboard layout, which i would rather be with out.
rc.conf has the  following
LOCALE="da_DK.utf8"
HARDWARECLOCK="localtime"
USEDIRECTISA="yes"
TIMEZONE="Europe/Copenhagen"
KEYMAP="dk.map.gz"
CONSOLEFONT="Agafari-12"
CONSOLEMAP=utf8
USECOLOR="yes"
in xorg.conf
Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
Option "XkbModel" "pc105"
Option "XkbLayout" "dk"
I have tried with dk and da in xorg.conf, still the layout changes after a short while in gnome. adding and deleting US and DA layouts in system > preference > keyboard helps for a while, but it is begining to be a bit of a fluke, if it actually works.
I have exhausted my own ideas, as to why this happends. I have a danish version of gnome installed, so i do not really know what makes the keyboard layout break
Any help would be appreciated

  • I need to add the logic for posting key,

    I need to add the logic for posting key, if posting key = 50 then amount is credit (add negative sign in amount field).
    I creadted this scenario in mapping, We wanted to make sure that the negative sign was placed in the amount field if the posting key was = 50.  So it seems we are good.  We will just need to test.
    How i can test this case?
    Please do needful.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You need to use an IfElse node function in your mapping in which the input should be the posting key from the source structure.
    You need to check in the IfElse statement whether the posting key=50, if it is true, then use concat node function to concat the negative sign("-") along with the original value to be passed to the amount field on the target side. Else, if the condition is false(i.e posting key!=50), then simply pass the value to the amount field as it is without adding the negative sign.
    After the mapping is done, go to the test tab and then insert the values in the source fields and then execute from the lower left button showing start transformation.  You need to test with the value of posting key=50 once and with the value not equal to 50 once.In the first case, the output amount field should have the negative sign, which should not be present in the second case.
    You will find your target structure in the righter half of your screen. That's it mate
    Thanks

  • Photoshop CC - supplied Jpeg at 6.5"Hx9.5"w. Need to add trim marks for printer at 6"x9". How?

    I have a jpeg which is 6.5" high x 9.5" wide. I need to insert trim marks at 6" x 9" leaving a .125" bleed. I am new to Photoshop but not a complete idiot. I've watched countless videos but don't see how to do this with art already done by someone else.
    Is there anyone who can guide me?

    Both seem appropriate. The issue is, the person creating the original art knew less of the software than I. And I just started.
    The original art she provided is 9.5"wide x 6.5"high. She increased the surface area to allow for .125 bleeds and excess but the image went all the way to the edge of the canvas. I was simply trying to add trims marks for the purpose of cutting in the proper position.
    This was for internal printing on a digital press. Because I would be the only person handling the materials from start to finish (including cutting) I wasn't worried about having to translate the layout on the press sheet.
    I ended up deleting all of the text and stripping the art down to the bare image which I saved and rebuilt the entire art file from scratch, properly with layers and the correct page size. Which worked out great, because the client made changes that I would otherwise been unable to do.
    Thank you all for the information. I'm still a little confused on how to simply add crop marks to someone else' artwork, but I have enough information to figure it out now.

  • Unable to set Canadian French CSA layout for external keyboard when language set to English

    I use both French and English on my iPad. I now have an external keyboard, with French Canadian CSA layout. However, the Canadian French CSA layout for the hardware (external) keyboard is not available when using English as an input language. Many other layouts are available (e.g., US, Spanish ISO, etc.), but not this one. French Canadian CSA layout is available with French as the input language.
    How can I add Canadian French CSA hardware keyboard layout when using English as the input language?

    It's not possible for users to add keyboard layouts to any iOS device.  All you can do is ask Apple to add it in a future update:

  • Do I need to add software protectin for moutain Lion 10.8.5

    Do I need to add software protection like norton

    1. This is a comment on what you should and should not do to protect yourself from malicious software ("malware") that circulates on the Internet. It does not apply to software, such as keystroke loggers, that may be installed deliberately by an intruder who has hands-on access to the victim's computer, or who has been able to log in to it remotely. That threat is in a different category, and there's no easy way to defend against it. If you have reason to suspect that you're the target of such an attack, you need expert help.
    If you find this comment too long or too technical, read only sections 5, 6, and 10.
    OS X now implements three layers of built-in protection specifically against malware, not counting runtime protections such as execute disable, sandboxing, system library randomization, and address space layout randomization that may also guard against other kinds of exploits.
    2. All versions of OS X since 10.6.7 have been able to detect known Mac malware in downloaded files, and to block insecure web plugins. This feature is transparent to the user, but internally Apple calls it "XProtect." The malware recognition database is automatically checked for updates once a day; however, you shouldn't rely on it, because the attackers are always at least a day ahead of the defenders.
    The following caveats apply to XProtect:
    It can be bypassed by some third-party networking software, such as BitTorrent clients and Java applets.
    It only applies to software downloaded from the network. Software installed from a CD or other media is not checked.
    As new versions of OS X are released, it's not clear whether Apple will indefinitely continue to maintain the XProtect database of older versions such as 10.6. The security of obsolete system versions may eventually be degraded. Security updates to the code of obsolete systems will stop being released at some point, and that may leave them open to other kinds of attack besides malware.
       3. Starting with OS X 10.7.5, there has been a second layer of built-in malware protection, designated "Gatekeeper" by Apple. By default, applications and Installer packages downloaded from the network will only run if they're digitally signed by a developer with a certificate issued by Apple. Software certified in this way hasn't necessarily been tested by Apple, but you can be reasonably sure that it hasn't been modified by anyone other than the developer. His identity is known to Apple, so he could be held legally responsible if he distributed malware. That may not mean much if the developer lives in a country with a weak legal system (see below.)
    Gatekeeper doesn't depend on a database of known malware. It has, however, the same limitations as XProtect, and in addition the following:
    It can easily be disabled or overridden by the user.
    A malware attacker could get control of a code-signing certificate under false pretenses, or could simply ignore the consequences of distributing codesigned malware.
    An App Store developer could find a way to bypass Apple's oversight, or the oversight could fail due to human error.
    For the reasons given above, App Store products, and other applications recognized by Gatekeeper as signed, are safer than others, but they can't be considered absolutely safe. "Sandboxed" applications may prompt for access to private data, such as your contacts, or for access to the network. Think before granting that access. Sandboxing security is based on user input. Never click through any request for authorization without thinking.
    4. Starting with OS X 10.8.3, a third layer of protection has been added: a "Malware Removal Tool" (MRT). MRT runs automatically in the background when you update the OS. It checks for, and removes, malware that may have evaded the other protections via a Java exploit (see below.) MRT also runs when you install or update the Apple-supplied Java runtime (but not the Oracle runtime.) Like XProtect, MRT is effective against known threats, but not against unknown ones. It notifies you if it finds malware, but otherwise there's no user interface to MRT.
    5. The built-in security features of OS X reduce the risk of malware attack, but they're not absolute protection. The first and best line of defense is always going to be your own intelligence. With the possible exception of Java exploits, all known malware circulating on the Internet that affects a fully-updated installation of OS X 10.6 or later takes the form of so-called "Trojan horses," which can only have an effect if the victim is duped into running them. The threat therefore amounts to a battle of wits between you and Internet criminals. If you're smarter than they think you are, you'll win. That means, in practice, that you always stay within a safe harbor of computing practices. How do you know what is safe?
    Any website that prompts you to install a “codec,” “plug-in,” "player," "downloader," "extractor," or “certificate” that comes from that same site, or an unknown one, is unsafe.
    A web operator who tells you that you have a “virus,” or that anything else is wrong with your computer, or that you have won a prize in a contest you never entered, is trying to commit a crime with you as the victim. (Some reputable websites did legitimately warn visitors who were infected with the "DNSChanger" malware. That exception to this rule no longer applies.)
    Pirated copies or "cracks" of commercial software, no matter where they come from, are unsafe.
    Software of any kind downloaded from a BitTorrent or from a Usenet binary newsgroup is unsafe.
    Software that purports to help you do something that's illegal or that infringes copyright, such as saving streamed audio or video for reuse without permission, is unsafe. All YouTube "downloaders," for example, are outside the safe harbor, though not all are malware.
    Software with a corporate brand, such as Adobe Flash Player, must be downloaded directly from the developer’s website. If it comes from any other source, it's unsafe. For instance, if a web page warns you that Flash is out of date, do not follow an offered link to an update. Go to the Adobe website to download it, if you need it at all.
    There is an increasing tendency for rogue websites such as "Softonic" and "CNET Download" to distribute free applications that have been packaged in a superfluous installer that also installs malware or something else that you don't want. Never visit those sites, and get all freeware directly from the developer's own site whenever possible.
    Software attached to email that you didn't request is unsafe, even if it comes (or seems to come) from someone you trust.
    Software advertised by means of spam is unsafe.
    Unknown "free" software that a stranger on the Internet is eager for you to download is unsafe.
    Even signed applications, no matter what the source, should not be trusted if they do something unexpected, such as asking for permission to access your contacts, your location, or the Internet for no obvious reason.
    "FREE WI-FI !!!" networks in public places are unsafe unless you can verify that the network is not a trap (which you probably can't.) Even then, do not download any software or transmit any private information while connected to such a network, regardless of where it seems to come from or go to.
    I don't say that leaving the safe harbor just once will inevitably result in disaster, but making a habit of it will weaken your defenses against malware attack. Doing any of the things alluded to above should make you uncomfortable.
       6. Java on the Web (not to be confused with JavaScript, to which it's not related, despite the similarity of the names) is a weak point in the security of any system. Java is, among other things, a platform for running complex applications in a web page, on the client. That was always a bad idea, and Java's developers have proven themselves incapable of implementing it without also creating a portal for malware to enter. Past Java exploits are the closest thing there has ever been to a Windows-style virus affecting OS X. Merely loading a page with malicious Java content could be harmful.
    Fortunately, client-side Java on the Web is obsolete and mostly extinct. Only a few outmoded sites still use it. Try to hasten the process of extinction by avoiding those sites, if you have a choice. Forget about playing games or other non-essential uses of Java.
    Java is not included in OS X 10.7 and later. Discrete Java installers are distributed by Apple and by Oracle (the developer of Java.) Don't use either one unless you need it. Most people don't. If Java is installed, disable it — not JavaScript — in your browsers.
    Regardless of version, experience has shown that Java on the Web can't be trusted. If you must use a Java applet for a task on a specific site, enable Java only for that site in Safari. Never enable Java for a public website that carries third-party advertising. Use it only on well-known, login-protected, secure websites without ads. In Safari 6 or later, you'll see a lock icon in the address bar with the abbreviation "https" when visiting a secure site.
    Stay within the safe harbor, and you’ll be as safe from malware as you can practically be. The rest of this comment concerns what you should not do to protect yourself.
    7. Never install any commercial "anti-virus" or "Internet security" products for the Mac, as they all do more harm than good, if they do any good at all. If you need to be able to detect Windows malware in your files, use one of the free security apps in the Mac App Store — nothing else.
    Why shouldn't you use commercial "anti-virus" products?
    To recognize malware, the software depends on a database of known threats, which is always at least a day out of date. New threats are emerging on a daily basis. Research has shown that most successful attacks are "zero-day" — that is, previously unknown. Recognition-based malware scanners do not defend against such attacks.
    Their design is predicated on the nonexistent threat that malware may be injected at any time, anywhere in the file system. Malware is downloaded from the network; it doesn't materialize from nowhere.
    In order to meet that nonexistent threat, the software modifies or duplicates low-level functions of the operating system, which is a waste of resources and a common cause of instability, bugs, and poor performance.
    By modifying the operating system, the software itself may create weaknesses that could be exploited by malware attackers.
    8. An anti-malware product from the App Store, such as "ClamXav," has the same drawback as the commercial suites of being always out of date, but it does not inject code into the operating system. That doesn't mean it's entirely harmless. It may report email messages that have "phishing" links in the body, or Windows malware in attachments, as infected files, and offer to delete or move them. Doing so will corrupt the Mail database. The messages should be deleted from within the Mail application.
    An anti-virus app is not needed, and should not be relied upon, for protection against OS X malware. It's useful only for detecting Windows malware, and even for that use it's not completely effective. Windows malware can't harm you directly (unless, of course, you use Windows.) Just don't pass it on to anyone else.
    A Windows malware attachment in email is usually easy to recognize. The file name will often be targeted at people who aren't very bright; for example:
    ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!!!!!H0TBABEZ4U!!!!!!!.AVI♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.exe
    Anti-virus software may be able to tell you which particular trojan it is, but do you really care? In practice, there's seldom a reason to use the software unless an institutional policy requires it. Windows malware is so widespread that you should assume it's in every unknown email attachment until proven otherwise.
    The ClamXav developer won't try to "upsell" you to a paid version of the product. Other developers may do that. Don't be upsold. For one thing, you should not pay to protect Windows users from the consequences of their choice of computing platform. For another, a paid upgrade from a free app will probably have all the disadvantages mentioned in section 7.
    9. It seems to be a common belief that the built-in Application Firewall acts as a barrier to infection, or prevents malware from functioning. It does neither. It blocks inbound connections to certain network services you're running, such as file sharing. It's disabled by default and you should leave it that way if you're behind a router on a private home or office network. Activate it only when you're on an untrusted network, for instance a public Wi-Fi hotspot, where you don't want to provide services. Disable any services you don't use in the Sharing preference pane. All are disabled by default.
    10. As a Mac user you don't have to live in fear that your computer may be infected every time you install software, read email, or visit a web page. But neither should you assume that you will always be safe from exploitation, no matter what you do. The greatest harm done by security software is precisely its selling point: it makes people feel safe. They may then feel safe enough to take risks from which the software doesn't protect them. "Hmmmm, this torrent is a crack of that new game I want. I think I'll download it. It could be a trojan, but the antivirus will warn me if it is." Then they wonder why their Mac is so slow all of a sudden. It's slow because it's running flat out mining bitcoins for a hacker who has already sold their credit card number and banking passwords to a criminal gang. Maybe a week later the antivirus does warn them, but what good does that do?
    Nothing can lessen the need for safe computing practices.

  • HT3825 Apple needs to add system support for Nikon D4 NEF Previews... currently only D800.

    Apple has added support for the Nikon D800 to 10.6 but not the Nikon D4?  OSX.6 needs to be updated to be able to view thumbnails and previews to raw files from the Nikon D4.  The only update that apple has released only affects iPhoto, not the system.

    AppleTV is Steve Job's hobby product?
    Perhaps AppleTV has increased sales on the iTunes store, but I wonder if the AppleTV itself has made any money for the company. For all we know, Apple may be losing money on every production and sale of the product, just like MS and Sony have for their consoles. I think the AppleTV is a great idea, but it is too limiting for it to be universally accepted. In fact, the AppleTV should be the universal player of set-top boxes. Apple, I guess, is not interested in the video server market.

  • I need to add the Description for a field to the dispForm.aspx page

    I have some information stored in the description area of a field that needs to show up on the dispform.aspx page. It shows up on the editform.aspx but not dispform.aspx
    I know there has got to be a way to do it with some JQuery or something, can someone steer me?
    L.

    Hi, I know this is an older post but I was looking for the same guidance.   I couldn't find it either.  :)
    So I started working backwards from this command that I know works for displaying the history of the multiline boxes when there are multiple versions:
    <tr><td class="ms-formlabel">Comments</td>
    <td class="ms-formbody" colspan="3"><xsl:value-of select="@Comments" disable-output-escaping="yes" />
    <SharePoint:AppendOnlyHistory runat="server" FieldName="Comments" ControlMode="Display" ItemId="{@ID}"/></td></tr>
    So checking out the “SharePoint: AppendOnlyHistory” brought me here:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/microsoft.sharepoint.webcontrols.appendonlyhistory(v=office.15).aspx
    Which I followed until I found this …
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/microsoft.sharepoint.webcontrols.fielddescription(v=office.15).aspx
    So with some experimenting I found that this works:
    <td class="ms-formlabel"><SharePoint:FieldDescription runat="server" FieldName="ESCFReason" ControlMode="Edit" ItemId="{@ID}"/></td>
    <td class="ms-formbody"><xsl:value-of select="@ESCFReason" disable-output-escaping="yes" /></td>

  • Need to add Hard Disk for backup purposes

    Hi all,
    I'm new here and really new to Netware. I'm just beginning to get involved with Netware Servers (V 6.5) and am trying to add hard disks to a server for backup purposes. I have two SCSI hard disks to add to this server and wish to name them backup_1 and backup_2. Using the Backup Exec software we have a site license. I want to be able to do an incremental backup Monday thru Thursday and a full back up on Friday on each disk alternating out the disks weekly with one of the disks being off site while the other is in service.
    I can add the new drive in a Hot manner and then must go through configuring the disk.....during the configuration I'm asked if I want the disk to be a part of a pool or something to that effect. What do I want to do here?
    Actually I'd like to know just what is a pool technically? I've got several books on Netware and none of them has painted me a clear picture of just what a pool is.
    I'm kind of excited to be learning about Netware I hope you all can bear with me as I stumble through this.
    Thanks so much!!!

    A pool is a structure between a volume and a partition. It allows, for instance, you to have multiple volumes in a pool, each of which can dynamically grow to use unallocated space within the pool on demand.
    Novell Documentation
    In your situation they are of no extra use to you, what you do is create a partition on each of those new disks, and create a volume on each and let it (I assume you are using NSSMU on the console) automatically create an underlying pool for each of those volumes.

  • SUMIF Need to add £ to cells for certain category against the date

    Hello,
    I need some help.
    In Table 1 I have coloums for the Date, Amount & a Category.
    In Table 2 I would like to break down the Amount spent in a certain category in a certain month.
    SOOO if for example:
    £100 spent 1/may/13 on advertising
    £200 spent 9/may/13 on advertising
    £400 spent 4/oct/13 on fuel
    Then in Table 2:
    Under may row, under advertising coloum would say £300
    under oct row, under fuel coloum would say £400
    etc etc
    What is the formula i need for this????

    Here's the part of your image above that shows where the (non) action is taking place:
    I'm assuming that "April Earning" is the name of the table on the left and that the word Expenditure is in row 1 of that table.
    The syntax for SUMIFS, taken from the Function Browser, is shown below, and compared with your formula immediately below it. April Earnings is shortened to AE so that the formula elements line up reasonably well with the syntax diagram.
    =SUMIFS(sum-values,test-values,condition,test-values,condition)
    =SUMIFS(AE::D3:D19,AE::C3:C19,"="&A3,AE::B3:B19,"="&B1)
    sum-values: Error: Column D contains category names. These are text, and text is given a numerical value of 0, so if this were the only error, the sum is correct. The range should refer to the column containing the values to be summed—column C.
    First test-values,condition set: Error: Test 1 compares the contents of A3 (on the table on the right) to the contents of cells in column C in the table on the left. A3 contains "Advertising"; column C contains three numbers, formatted as currency. The word "Advertising" does not appear in column C; the test will return FALSE for all examples. Sum: 0. The range should refer to th column containing the bill categories—column D
    Second test-values,condition set: Correct. Test 2 compares values in column B of AE (month number) with the month number in B1 of the right hand table, and returns TRUE where the values match (row 3 of AE) and FALSE where they do not (all other rows of AE.
    Fixed and Relative cell references: When corrected, you will want to fill this formula down column B of the smaller table and across to the columns for the other months. When you do, the formula will return either incorrect results or error messages unless you fix some cell references.
    ranges: No matter where the formula resides, you want it to refer to the same range of rows in the same columns. Insert a fixed reference operator ( $ ) before each column and row label in each range in the formula. The range in test 2 should look like this:
    AE::$B$3:$B$19
    cell references:
    When you fill down, you want the A3 reference to move down to match the row in which the formula resides.
    When you fill right, you want the A3 reference to remain fixed on column A. Insert a fixed reference operator before the letter, but not before the number: $A3
    When you fill down, you want the B1 reference to remain fixed on row 1.
    When you fill right, you want the B1 reference to column A.right down to match the column in which the formula resides.
    Insert a fixed reference operator before the number, but not before the letter: B$1

    I have written a portal service, not at the Dynpro, environment which uses these imports:
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDNode;
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDNodeElement;
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.url.api.IWDCachedWebResource;
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.url.api.WDURLException;
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.url.api.WDWebResource;
    com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.url.api.WDWebResourceType;
    Which SharingReference do I need to add in order for this to be recognized from the service?

    Hello Valery and Maksim,
    I am familiar with this post yet I have two problems that it doesn't solve:
    1. The reason we are not migrating from Local Dynpro projects to DCs is because of language issues currently handled by SAP. Our GUI is written in Hebrew and at the migration process all the text appearing on the GUI simply vanishes. So, at the moment let's assume we are working with Local Dynpro projects and not DCs.
    2. The second problem we are facing involves from the first one: Since we are not working with DCs yet and since SAP doesn't support local Dynpro projects at the DTR, CBS, CMS even if I will develop such DC it will stay locally and I will be able to use it only from projects at my workspace, other developers won't be able to share it.
    So, at the moment, even if creating a portal service is not the best solution it is the only temporary solution I see right now, unless you have other suggestions...
