Need To Compare Metadata In Application And Copy it

I need to know how to compare data between two machine.
I have application work with metadata. I mean screen and table will keep in the database and when I access to application, screen will popup the window like I have set in the database. Now I have three machine for develop . one is test machine and second is staging machine and last is my machine. When I develop on my machine complete I must do it again in staging machine . And if BA need to test changing, I will copy all code and metadata in staging machine to test machine for BA. But all old test transaction will be deleted because I cannot copy only matadata from staging to test machine.
SO I need anybody to suggest me
1. How I compare metadata between my machine and staging machine and then copy only change to staging?
2. How can I copy only metadata from staging to test machine?
Please help suggest me.

You can use SQL developer/Toad to compare schema across 2 databases
It will generate a script that can be run against the database

Hi Donald,
No it doesn't erase anything by default, it does what we used to call an Archive and Install feature, which can give you a new OS, yet preserve your files and settings if you have enough room on your HD...

But it does it automatically unless you specifically erase the Disk, but will replace Tiger completely for the OS & several Apple Apps like Safari, Mail, etc, yet preserve your old settings for those!
If you think you may need Tiger to run any APPs that do not work in SL/10.6, then clone or backup first.
I would recomend 2 things before installing though...
Make sure you have enough RAM & HD space.
Snow Leopard/10.6.x Requirements...
General requirements
   * Mac computer with an Intel processor
    * 1GB of memory (I say 2GB at least)
    * 5GB of available disk space (I say 30GB at least)
If it's a core Duo & not a Core2Duo, then it'll only run in 32 bit mode.

Your requirement could be met by
Creating a Calculated Key Figure say variance = ( ( Jan2008 - Jan2007 ) / Jan 2008 ) *100
Then create a new Condition on Variance so as to display rows only when Variance > 40

Normally if a specific license is required SQLDeveloper will warn you the first time you try to use the feature, and stores your answer in
Tools -> Preferences -> Database -> LicensingIf you are not sure about a particular feature uncheck all the licensing already recorded for your current connection and try the feature.
If a license is required a popup will appear warning you and telling you exactly what license you need.

Need to do a clean reinstall, but need to keep applications and documents

I know that to do a clean reinstall of 10.6 you must first erase the hard drive using Disk Utility. I want the reinstall to be clear of all old settings, except that I need to carry over my applications and documents. Could I use Migration Assistant to backup just the applications and documents to an external hard disk, reinstall the OS, and then use Migration Assistant again to restore my applications and documents from the external drive? I've never used Migration Assistant.

Why can't you just delete the current settings?
But if you really want to erase everything and reload 99.9% of it, use +Setup Assistant+ after you install OSX on the empty volume. By default, it will transfer your network settings, but you can omit them. According to your post, my understanding is that you failed to republish the content hub.
I recommend to execute the following PowerShell command to add all permissions needed:
Initialize-SPResourceSecurity
In addition, you can create a new managed metadata service application and also a new application pool account to check whether it works.

I need help with a VB Application

I need help with building an application and I am on a tight deadline. Below I have included the specifics for what I need the application to do as well as the code that I have completed so far. I am having trouble getting the data input into

You can't download pictures from iCloud by logging into icloud.com. If you deleted pictures from camera roll AND photo stream, the only possibility is preforming a restore from an iCloud backup, assuming the backup has the pictures in it. (Many users have been unable to restore and get back their pictures.)
If the restore doesn't have all the pictures, then they are gone.
In the future, use photo stream to sync photos from an iPhone to a computer, then copy the photos on the computer from the photo stream album into a permanent album. Photo stream pics stay there only for 30 days, and only up to 1000 photos are stored. Don't use photo stream as a storage medium, it's only for copying photos from one device to another. Always copy (either via USB cable or photo stream) to a computer and then move to an album.

Need script to read a list and compare it to the contents of a folder...

I need a script that will read all of the file names within a tab delimited list and then compare them to the files within a directory (named IMAGES) and delete the files of this IMAGES folder that are not included in the list.

It won't work because of what you're comparing.
Consider if files_list does not contain (image_file as string) then.
Your script defines files_list as the contents of the specified file like:
"file1.jpg
file2.jpg
file3.png"
and image_file is a list of files which, when coerced to a string looks like:
"Cabezon:Users:cochino:Desktop:images:file1.jpgCabezon:Users:cochino:Desktop:ima ges:file2.jpgCabezon:Users:cochino:Desktop:images:file3.png".
There is no way files_list is going to be in image_file.
Instead you're going to have to iterate through one or other of the lists and find matches.
Since the list of files you want to keep is around 1,000 items long, and there are 6,000 files in the directory it would be quicker to iterate through the list of files to keep (a loop of 1000 iterations) than it would be to loop through the files to see which ones to delete (a loop of 6000 iterations).
Therefore your best bet is something like this (untested):

The comments should give you some idea as to what it's doing, but in short it walks through the list of files looking for matching files in the specified directory. If it finds a match it moves that file to a temporary directory. At the end of the 1,000 iterations, what's left in the directory are the files that did not match the file read in at the beginning, so these files can be deleted.
Finally, to clean up, the files you want are copied back into the images directory and the temporary directory is deleted.

Short answer: You do NOT have to reinstall all your apps and copy your files back.
Longer answer: Upgrading the OS does not touch any user files. Upgrading the OS should not interfere with any applications which are compatible with Mavericks. In my experience non-Apple apps are generally left unchanged by the upgrade. It is possible that some apps may need to be upgraded. One good resource for checking application compatibility is RoaringApps.
Finally, it is always wise to backup everything, just in case.

CS5 - Help copy from another application and paste into CS5

I am not able to copy an image from another application and paste into my CS5 image.
I can paste the image into any other program except for CS5.
Does anyone know how this issue can be fixed? Very frustrating, since it is such a simple process.

You probably have at least one plug-in made by Nik Software. They're known to interfere with Photoshop's ability to access the clipboard.
I believe there's a Nik configuration file change needed, or possibly a removal of all or part of the plug-in to restore Photoshop's access to the clipboard. There's another thread on this forum that's gotten quite long on the subject, and in it are some possible resolutions... Ah, here it is: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/680075

Essbase Maintenance and copying applications

My question is in two parts. We are using Essbase version 11, ASO cubes
1) Is it ok to perform maintenance on your cubes while users are in the system? Reason I ask is that there have been times when changes need to be made right away, during the day, when the system is being utilized. If not, what is the optimal environment for making changes (adding an element to a dimension etc)
2) As part of our monthly maintenance - we normally create a copy of a cube, make changes to the copy, delete the original and copy the back up back
For example. I will have a cube called "REPORTING". I will make a copy of this and call it "BACKUP". I will then make the changes to "BACKUP". Once these are complete, I will delete the "REPORTING" cube, then I will copy the "BACKUP" cube and call it "REPORTING". This allows me to make changes with minimal delay to users. However, lately, when copying the cube I have been getting the following error message:
Cannot open object file: E:\Hyperion\products\Essbase\EssbaseServer\app\REPORTING\log\ess00001.dat
Failed to copy application [BACKUP]
The system will not longer allow me to copy the backup cube and call it REPORTING. It will let me copy it if I give it another name
Is my continual copying and deleting of applications ok? Or will it eventually corrupt the databases?

thanks as always for your expert opinionsI guess it depends on how you do the copies. What you describe is something that is done often. It soulnds like something got messed up in the copy. you could try stippong the apps and copying the file from the backup to the reporting app manually. The one thing can you lose by doing what you are is security.

Because the location for each song in your library is on your hard drive. If the hard drive isn't there, how can iTunes play it?
You'll have to move/copy the music from your hard drive to your computer's hard drive.
Basically, EASIEST way to do all this, if you don't care about your play counts, etc...
-Delete EVERYTHING from iTunes, so that your library is now empty.
-Go to "Advanced" inside of the "Preferences" window, found in the "Edit" drop-down. You can also access Preferences by pressing Ctrl+, (Press Ctrl and the comma key)
-Change your iTunes Media Folder Location to something simple, but on your computer. I use C:/iTunes. Make sure "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized" and "Copy files to...." are both checked. You can close Preferences now.
-Now, drag and drop your music from your hard drive into your iTunes library. iTunes will automatically add the music to your library, as you would expect, and also creates a copy of each file to place into that iTunes Media Folder you just created.
Shouldn't have any more problems...
