Need to create a COM dll Object in Java

Hello, I'm trying to find information on how I can write a simple COM object and save it as a dll file - using Java.
I've searched Google and it predominantly comes back with references to Visual J++, I don't have a copy of this and am unable to use the Microsoft SDK either...
Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction?

I added CS6 COM reference in my VB.NET application and after that I have the following basic object creation in order to convert a eps file to svg. But for some reason when I create this COM object it is launching the Adobe Illustrator application. Why it is doing like this? It’s a simple COM object why it is interacting with Illustrator Editor? Could you guide me how to take care this issue please?

To the best of my knowledge in order to access the Illustrator object model that the application must be running through JavaScript since scripts are run via the UI.
I did find this in the documentation in refference to VB.
CreateObject launches Illustrator as an invisible application if it is not already running. If Illustrator is
launched as an invisible application you must manually activate the application to make it visible:
Set appRef = CreateObject("Illustrator.Application")
So instead of "As New" try "CreateObject"...

I don't know anything about it but it looks like EZ JCom in conjunction with the included Remote Access Service does what you're after. It's not free though.

Need help creating a voice chat application with java

Hi, all:
I'm currently using MSN messenger to talk to my friends online. However, the quality gets pretty low sometimes since MSN is a centralized service. So I was wondering if I know a friend well, and he gives me his IP, would it be better for me to just write a simple java app that captures audio from a microphone and send it over through a socket. Once the byte stream gets there, his side of the app can play it back. Of course, the packets I'm sending and receiving will just be normal TCP/IP packets, but we wouldn't have to go through a MSN messenger server, so would the audio quality be better in this case?

Maybe, but there is probibly other software you can use for direct connections. I would try these first.

Hi,
For those who might encounter a similar problem, I manage to solve the problem by installing the DCOM Connector from the same SAP GUI CD (ver 6.2).   I had the impression to download the DCOM Connector from sap.com but they have the 4.6D version which causes a problem if you are using a higher version of SAP Gui. The rule of thumb is to install the RFC SDK and DCOM Connector from the the same SAP GUI CD.
Just note that DCOM Connector is reaching End-of-life.

ADF BC runtime doesn't give you any feature out for the box for creating DB objects, you may need to use standard JDBC API+ DDL. (btw, there may be design time API used by JDev for DB synch . however I'm not sure about the feasibility of using the same in your context) Next step may be building programmatic EO/VO. The class has a no-args constructor at least. The useBean tag will work with it. Probably.
But still, some code just can't be translated into scriptless JSTL.
Calling methods which take parameters is one of those things.
In this case you probably want to write a custom tag to work with your tabs
I would probably look at using custom tags like this:

If anyone was wondering how to find the program Id of the DLL
for use as the class parameter in the cfobject tag they need to
search for the DLL in the registry using regedit. Hope this helps.

How do i communicate with a COM DLL(written in VC++ or VB) with a java program. The COM object has a method called dispPrint(String arg).

Or if you are like me, use a product like Jawin which simplifies things like this (no need to a intermediate dll).

Creating a COM object with CF9 32-bit on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit machine

I'm using a 32-bit version of CF9 and it's installed on a Windows Server 2008 R2 machine (64-bit). The problem I'm running into is that it won't allow me to create a COM object - it gives me the error, "no ntvinv in java.library.path null" when I try to run,
