After searching various forum found that dbconsole should be deconfigured and configured again.
When i used the command

i get the error : Listner is not up or database service is not registered with it. Start the listner and register dabase service.
My listner is up and running

Problem in 10gR2 enterprise manager after changing the servers hostname
Hello,
I installed 10g R2 Standard Edition on a Suse Linux Server Enterprise 10.
I have the following problem :
I changed the host name from “a” to “b”.
I made the required changes in listener.ora and tns_names.ora.
I also rebuilded the enterprise manager by starting dbca and click on “Configure database options” etc etc.
After that the WEB enterprise manager seemed to work fine.
I logged on the http://localhost:1180/em as sys/password/sysdba.
Then I clicked on maintenance > Backup setting the PROBLEM OCCURS !!!
I get again the web login page but in the connect string I get the old hostname.domain:1521:SID.
And naturally I cannot login because that hostname.domain:1521:SID does not exist.
Somebody knows how can I correct that?
Thanks a lot

Problem with EM (Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database)
Hi all,
I've Oracle DB 11g Rel.1 installed on Windows XP SP3. The database is up and running i.e. everyone can connect to the DB by using any App tool e.g. SQL*Plus, Forms, or Reports. It means that the listener and the service is running. But the problem is that when I try to start the EM I see some error messages on the webpage.
It says:
Enterprise Manager is not able to connect to the database instance. The state of the components are listed below.Database Instance (Green arrow)

please see the attached file:
http://rapidshare.com/files/404840300/em.JPGI've already checked all the services, they are running. And when I execute emctl command I got the following message.
emctl status dbconsole
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g Database Control Release 11.1.0.6.0

http://shiman:1158/em/console/aboutApplication
Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g is running.I have checked some documents around config files in sysman and test_orcl\sysman directories. Moreover, I have checked dbsnmp and sysman account for unlockness and password accuracy. But they did not help me to solve the problem.
My question is if every thing is working fine then what is the problem with the EM? Why it is not connecting to the DB?
Thanks.

Install of 8.1.7 - problems with Net8 & Enterprise Manager
I am having problems installing the Net8 and Enterprise Manager portions of Oracle 8.1.7 on a Solaris Release 8 Sun server (E450). When I try to install, it fails.
The failure message says it is looking for library files that don't exist. It is also looking for jre files it cannot find.
I, and we, appreciate your help on this.

Problem installing Oracle Enterprise Manager
I install OEM on a windows 2000. When I run OEM configuration assistant to create a new repository, I got a error:
lost database connection,
ora-12547, TNS lost contact.
I did it like:
user: system
passwd:
service: 192.168.1.1:1521:ora8
Thanks a lot. It's really frustrating with all these problems.Deborah,
I really don't think I installed Enterprise Manager Server. I have looked everywhere for the emca configuration assistant and it is just not there. I am running version 3 of oracle 8.1.7 enterprise edition, and I did not remember seeing enterprise manager server on the list of products that would be installed. I did remember seeing enterprise manager components. I am going to try and install again on a different machine and see if enterprise manager server is part of the install.

Problem in Login Import Manager
Hi Experts,
While login to Import Manager , We are geting a error.
We are using port.
The error is COM error 80040154 Class not registered Source and description.
If anyone has any clue on the above mentioned problem please reply back
Much thanks in advance
Regards
RSHi Rohit,
You must be using XML Schema as the Format and the XML file you want to import does not match with that of the schema supplied hence the import manager is throwing an error.
Try using the XML file manually without the port and check whether you are able to import.

Problem with the Enterprise Manager
Hi!
I have a problem with the webbased EM (Port 1811). After restarting emctl I don't have any diagram (e.g. for the cpu usage) in the EM. It seems as if there is no picture...
Are there any services which collect these information from AIX?
Any ideas?Hi!

Problem connecting from Enterprise Manager
I installed Oracle 10g on a standalone machine with Win XP pro. I'm able to login to EM. However, when I tried to perform admin tasks, it asks for OS username/password which I supplied. But it gave me this error message: Connection to OASISONE as user boss1 failed: Error: wrong password for user. Then I tried to start the emctl dbconsole from the command prompt and got the message: environment variable ORACLE-SID not defined. Are they related? The ORACLE-SID is orcl. I am confused.
Thanks for helping in advance.Hi,
Error: wrong password for user
Are you grant LOG ON AS AN BATCH job to OS USER.
OR
before emctl command you always set ORACLE_SID enviourment variable.

Problems with the Enterprise Manager...
I´m installing oracle9ias Business Intelligence and Forms in Linux AS,
I have a development enviroment where I don´t have a domain, but I need to write a valid domain in /etc/hosts or I can´t continue with the installation.
Ok, I wrote two lines in this file:
127.0.0.1 myhost.local myhost localhost
192.168.0.121 myhost.local myhost localhost
Then I can continue with the installation of the infrastructure succesfully, but after when I try to navigate in the OEM, I have a lot of references to armagedon.local and I can only see a few pages.
How can I make an installation without write a domain in /etc/hosts?
(because I don´t have one)

After install oracle 10g, enterprise manager web version, can not login
Hi Guru,
I have installed oracle 10g on windows xp pro sp2 successfully, can use sqlplus to connect to DB, but when using IE to login enterprise manager web version port 1158, it failed. The login page came out, but when I keyed in the right userid/password ie sysman/pwd1234, the login screen just refreshed, nothing happen. but if I purposely key in wrong userid or password, the message "invalid userid or password" comes out.
Another "interesting" thing is, I can login web version isqlplus successfully using the same userid/password. but can not connect to web version isqlplus/dba, even I use user sys, also can not login.
Need your urgent help to solve this problem.Hi.
What does the log say?
From %ORACLE_HOME%\opmn\logs folder.

Problems with Enterprise Manager Oracle 10gR2
Hi,
The installation of 10gR2 on Windows 2000 seems to work.
I only have a problem with web enterprise manager.
I can connect to the database correctly and I can manage the database (creating tables, users and so on).
The only problem is in the first page (home) of the database, accessing with the web enterprise manager.
In fact I get this "error: java.lang.Exception: IOException in sending Request :: Connection refused", but I however access the db.
I verified the DBSNMP user and it's active.
Did someone get the same error?
Excuse if I'm repeating a previous post, but I received answers about linux environment only (I have Windows 2000 server, instead).
thanks a lot,
FrancescoWe have in fact seen the same error. In our case, it appeared after the network guys moved the Oracle server from one domain to another. (This is not an action that I highly recommend, by the way.)
I used emca to delete the Enterprise Manager agent and recreate it. For a single instance server not in a cluster or on a grid, the commands look like this:
emca -deconfig dbcontrol db
emca -config dbcontrol db
That worked just fine. However, we started getting an "account locked" error when the Enterprise Manager started. And the result is the same as you described. The account is not locked by any means. If you ignore what you see on the screen about an error, you can go on and administer the database just fine. It's just when you get back to the home screen, it tells you that your account is locked and you are not in touch with the instance.
I can make the error go away for awhile by stopping and starting the agent with
emctl stop dbconsole
emctl start dbconsole
But the error comes back in a little while.
We don't consider it a show stopper, since the database performs normally. It's just one of those things you wish it would not do. -
Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control is not working properly
Hello!
I have a problem with Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control, the web console. When I open the browser, instead of showing the login window, it shows the window where three arrows, the database instance, the listener, and the conection, that are red and down.
However they are working correctly, the database is up and working, but the EM doesn't show anything else.
Is there a way to make it work again?
Thanks! The Enterprise Manager has lost sync with the database.
The only way I know to do this remotely is to tell the OEM to shut down and/or bring up the database - twice. It'll try and fail and perhaps eventually reset it's pointers.
I'd really like Oracle to create a 're-sync to actual state' URL ... there must be an easy way, such as flushing the collected metrics or something. -
Too many columns to be shown in the Enterprise Manager 11g?
Hello,
we are having some problems with the Enterprise Manager 11g. When we want to VIEW DATA of a specific table, we get this exception. We think that our table has too many columns to be displayed. If we delete some of the columns, the data is shown in the enterprise manager. But this cannot be a solution for us. Can you help us with this point?

I'm Galit from the QE team of VIN.
All the things that you've described are correct.
It is actually an edge case where the only VM, that the manual App can be managed from its Map view, was removed from the App.
The Manual App management is as designed, and may be changed in the future.
There are 2 ways to overcome this situation:
1.You can, as you stated, create another Manual App with similar name and remain with the "Zombie App".
2. To run a specific command that will remove the Zombie App from the DB.
Please note that option no. 2 involves using an API that we do not publish.
If you would like to use option no. 2 contact me in private and we will see about supplying the relevant commands to run in order to delete the "zombie" application.
