Need to find tables

Information :
I have a java web project (jsp ,servlet , struts , session beans also) and hibernate for DB (Oracle ) persistence.
the DB has approximately 100 tables .
Question i want to ask :
I have a JSP page , the data you entered in the screen goes to the DB tables finally ....but as it process through many java classes in between , its becoming very difficult to which table these data are going finally.
I want a finest methodology to track where (in which table) these data are getting stored ?
So, in fact ..i am facing trouble to track down where (in which tables ) the data are going .
though i am doing it in eclipse and debugging but still its not so easy because of so many java classes it passes through.
and this may not be a good effort after all.
can anybody tell me some way around.
tell me some of the techniques if any , i wish to try

to avail your first solution ?Yes. Just change to that you are using ojdbc14_g.jar
instead of ojdbc14.jar. The _g driver is debug builtsorry , the information i gave you was not true .
I am using the DB connection pool of weblogic server . and the driver is Thin XA oracle driver .
It seems to me , i cant do it ....because i dont have _g driver in the driver list and i doubt whether weblogic support this kind of driver.
and is using java.util.logging to log information
about the sql that is executed.
Kajanother update is , converted HQL to SQL is so bad looking ...that i started to forget the SQL :-( ....it does not look like proper SQL .

Need to find table for dispute case attachments in service for objects

Hi All,
I have a requirement where i need to find some tables which will hold details of dispute case attachments. After a dispute case is created using UDM_DISPUTE transaction, the concerned person may open that dispute case and can attach some documents/any attachments using services for objects icon at the top left corner of the screen. All i want to know is, in which table (tables related to service object) this attachment details will be stored. Even if the attachments details are stored in service objects related tables, there should be some link for this attachment and dispute case. Please let me know if any of you have some pointers and it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. An entry is getting created in this table SRGBTBREL whenever an attachment/URL/notes is attached to a dispute case using services for object and the link between this table and dispute case table SCMG_T_CASE_ATTR is INSTID_A. This field holds the value of CASE GUID from SCMG_T_CASE_ATTR. Now my requirement is whenever an attachment is present in a dispute case i need to set a customized checkbox present in UDM_DISPUTE screen so that when an user opens the dispute case he/she can understand some attachment is present for this case by seeing the checkbox. I found the SCMG* badi's are not helpful to set the checkbox. Please let me know if you have any idea on how to implement it.

Need to find table/field behind "Item long text" field in Notes tab in FB70

Hello,
To print a custom FI invoice, I need to access the data entered in the "Item long text" field of the Notes tab in FB70. To test, I used 5000 characters in that field to make sure it stood out from the rest of the data. F1 help does nothing on that field, and even running an SQL trace (ST05) doesn't show the text in that field being entered into any table. I tried F1 on a nearby field and got a structure instead of a table, so I investigated the structure through SE11 but found no character field with such a large capacity. How else can I find where that field is stored?

Thanks! It took a while, but with your help and a few other pages I managed to piece together an answer.
Vinod helpfully explained that the text name is a concatenation of various fields, but didn't specify how to find the line item ID. If you go to table STXH (as hinted by Brad and confirmed [here|http://fuller.mit.edu/SAPWebDocs/LongComment.html]) and search for texts created today (or whenever you were testing), you'll see the text name ends in '001' after GJAHR, so the line item ID is '001' regardless of how many line items you enter in the invoice.
Armed with that info, you can call READ_TEXT and loop through the results to concatenate the contents of each TDLINE field. (FB70 automatically breaks the user-entered text into different lines even if the user didn't press Enter, and each line gets its own record in the results.)

Query CDR database, need help finding table.

Hi,
I was asked to generate the following report:
How many times for a certain amount of time both lines a certain extension has both lines simultaneously used.
How many times for a certain amount of time a certain extension rings busy due to both lines being in use and another call comes in.
Per Cisco documentation, I can probably find the field names. However, which tables would I need to query for the above requests? Cisco documentation shows a lot of tables, and it doesn't tell me which fields are in which table or visa versa.

I'd advise against doing too much raw SQL query work on CUCM - It's a call processing platform, not a reporting platform. Take the CDRs and feed them into your own database (or purchase a CallLogger which can do it automatically) and run queries from there.

Hi,
I need to find table for field Q0743-OFFR1. I tried using tcode SE15, but was not able to find any table where the field is used.
Is there any other method of finding a table for a structure field.
Any pointers in this regard would be helpful.

Hi,
when u open the structure , u will find the tab " Component " in that you
will find "Data Element" column which hold the data element of the structure
component , now double click on the respective "Data Element " and that will
open up the Data Element Page in which u will find a "Where Used List" icon
, click on that, this will now display you the list, select the TABLE LIST
Check box and execute, which will subsequently display you all the the table
names which has "specified" data element's component as field

Go to transaction DB02, then click on the button that reads, "Space Statistics", the dialog box, click ok, leave the "*" for all tables, In the next screen put your cursor in the appropriate column labeled as Rows and click the sort button. Now you will see your biggest tables at the top of the list.

By using MINUS we can find the difference between two table ,i need to find the what exact difference in the there values with colunm and value at that column.

you can find all those details in transaction variant,
go with SHD0 ( numerical 0) and then enter your transaction code and enter transaction variant name and then select that
Select the program SAPMV45A and go CHANGE WITH PROCESSING (F6),
there you can find the list of fields and field names.

How to find table name(s) in a dynamic query

In one of our (9iAS PORTAL)applications, any user can able to run their query statment and get output. All queries will be executed as dynamic SQL thru' a common shema/user who has 'SELECT' privilege on all tables but all users don't have this privilege on all tables. Now, before executing any query I need to find out what are the table name(s) used in this query to check the privilege for the respective user. How do I extract all table names being used in a dynamic query?.

I guess that his users log in to application first, then application uses one account to log in to database, so application are not direct database user since all users share the same account to database. If so, when a user lgins in, you may write it down from application to a database audit table, and you need to write down the dynamic query to the database audit table too, then you may query that audit table to find out. up to here, it looks that your application has to do more to assign what role to a user running the application, since database does not know what user is assessing it.

I need help finding a workable web program that is not CSS based. I tried IWeb and it just won't work for me. Way too limiting. I've been using a 12 year old copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver, but the new Dreamweaver is CSS

Been building web pages for nearly 20 years, starting with GoLive. Went to Dreamweaver about 12 years ago, the Macromedia version. Tried going to iWeb when it came with a new Mac, but found it way too limiting with it's CSS template base.   Unknowlingly, I then bought a new copy of Dreamweaver.   Ooops, Adobe had bought Macromedia and Dreamweaver, too, is now CSS based, which for my money makes it useless to anyone who likes simplicity.   Now I find that even iWeb has been discontinued. I was told yesterday that Apple doesn't have a web program any more.   At 12 years old, I just don't think it's practical to try to load my old Macromedia Dreamweaver into the new Mountain Lion (I'm getting a new Mac), though it is running, barely, in Snow Leopard.
I need to find a web builder program that will permit simple construction of educational pages, nothing fancy, nothing artistic, just create a page, give it a color, type or drag in text, insert a table, insert pix in the table blocks, add text under the pix... done!    I should note that I am not looking to build traffic. I teach simple things for free and people who want to learn those things (antique sewing machine repair, quilting, building longbows) find me.
I've downloaded trial versions of half a dozen or so programs and looked at maybe 20 more, but all are either CSS based and drive me insane with requirments for constantly making rules and template models, and/or require that you base your web presence in their server.   Also, many will not work with pages built in other programs. I maintian a volume of over 1000 web pages, many requiring regular updating, and they have been with the same server for more than 15 years. I'm not about to change.
So, anybody know a simple, old fashioned web builder that's happpy on a Mac platform?

All modern websites use CSS and there are thousands of free templates to be had if you want to use a code entry style application. You will need to go this route if you want to create a site that is viewable on mobile devices although you can create an iPhone version using iWeb...

Need to find the assets associated to a BCC project using SQL query

Hi,
Given a BCC project (project_id), I need to find the assets (type of asset, version, status etc) in that project using SQL queries.
I need this for reporting purpose and cannot do this programatically using any code.
Surprisingly ATG does not store this association in a direct way. Can someone provide me the query if you have already done this before?
I tried enabling loggingDebug in PublishingRepository and VersionManagerRepository to get the queries, but I did not get what I want.

UPDATE:
When a project is selected in BCC, ATG is doing something crazy, as it appears to me, of querying all the tables (ofcourse when there is a cache miss) in all the versioned item descriptor with the workspace id of the project to display the assets contained in it.
I do not see an easy or direct way of coming up with a query for this requirement.
Please let me know if anyone has any other idea.

Find table column pattern in a variable

I have a variable @a. There is a table B with column A,C. I need to find out those values of column A where column C values are a subset of @a.
For example @a='123456abcd'table
Table B
A     C
1      abcd
2      xyzt
In the above case I need to get A=1 since value C pattern belongs within @a.

I’m confused about what’s the desired result you want. Are you want to find out all matched values of column A where column C values are a subset of @a, or find out all matched values of column A where @a is a subset of column C values? If in the first scenario,
you can refer to the first reply of Prashanth and the second reply of Tom. If in the second scenario, you can refer to the first reply of Tom and the second reply of Prashanth.
If there are any misunderstanding, please elaborate the issue for further investigation.
