Need to identify SAP Netweaver with PI installed

Hi All,
I need to identify SAP component version in ABAP code. for that I am retrieving status of the system fr0m CVERS_TXT table.
but for identifying PI system it is returning u2018SAP Netweaveru2019 which is not valid because if it only Netweaver without PI installed then also it will consider SAP system as PI.
So need to figure out exact table or transaction from where i can get this information.
I need to differentiate the pure SAP netweaver system and SAP netweaver with PI.
Please guide on the same.

I checked SXMB_ADMIN transaction and on PI system it is showing role of busniess system as 'Integration server'. I checked the same on other system without PI it is showing role of busniess system as 'Not yet configured'.
So I want to just check what will be role of busniess system when PI is installed but basic configuration is not yet done.

I was planning on some training myself on the SAP BW and was looking to download any trial version out there for the SAP Netweaver with BI/BW content. I have seen a couple of versions NW 2004 for Linux, NW 7.01 for ABAP and NW 7.02 for ABAP that are named on the SDN but the first two versions that i have mentioned dont have any valid links and they dont exist in the SAP Knowledge Shop either. The only version that is available is the NW 7.02 for ABAP but this trial version doesnt include the BI/BW content in it.
I would appreciate if someone can help me finding a valid trial download links for NW which has the BI/BW content in it. Any version would help me.

Like I explained, the version NW 7.01 download links are no longer valid and the post that you have referenced refer to 7.01.
The links for 7.02 version are valid but it doesn't have the BW content in it. Here is the link that clearly explains my scenario

Yes you can install java engine.Run sapinst from installation master cd and select only java engine installation.There will be check boxes abd you have to choose java engine.Also check the nwo4s installation guide.It will guide you throughly.Keep in mind to use correct jdk required for your kind of installatiom.

Another way is to open a command prompt as nspadm and run saplicense -install
To do this follow the steps below
Click "Start" -> "Run..." and enter:
runas /u:nspadm cmd
Enter nspadm's password. A command prompt appears running as user nspadm. Now change to \usr\sap\nsp\SYS\exe\run and run
saplicense -install

SAP Netweaver 7.0 instalation error

When I install SAP Netweaver 7.0 I get an error like below during instalation,
Error says;
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 3 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: Error during execution of command identifier 'PARAM_INIT' : : [3472] 17:41:46 ***Warning: Loadavg: Could not add processor time performance counter to query. ). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:/Program Files/sapinst_instdir/NW703/AS-ABAP/ADA/CENTRAL.
Is anybody have an idea about that error? What can be a problem?

Need help on SAP SSO with SAML & SSO2

Dear expert,
We met an SSO issue on launchpad.
Here is our scenario and SSO structure. We use fiori launchpad to display all SAP apps.
1. When an user visit launchpad URL, URL will redirect user to identity provider (IDP) for SAML authentication.
2. Then IDP authenticate with SAML2.0 token back to gateway.
3. Gateway accept the SAML2.0 token and issue SSO2 logon ticket.
4. Use logon ticket to backend ABAP ERP system for transaction apps.
5. Use logon ticket to HANA system for factsheet.
Now the first step above is OK as SAML token can be authenticated back to gateway. But after that, the basic form authentication pop-up for user credential on both backend system and HANA, which should not. We found out that launchpad was stucked with error message "/sap/es/ina/GetServerInfo HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized" at ERP backend service "GetServerInfo". By checking the cookies, we found out that after SAML token accepted by gateway, gateway did not issue any MYSAPSSO2 ticket.
However, when we disabled SAML and use form authentication for launchpad, SSO2 logon ticket works perfectly among GW, ERP and HANA. So, there should be no issue configuration regarding SSO2 logon ticket in SAP GUI.
here is the system information:
GW: NW740 SP5
ERP: ECC6 on NW740 SP5
HANA: v70

Need connectivity of SAP Oracle with Third Party tool with dsn

Hi Friends,
We need to access SAP's Oracle database with third party tool with the help of dsn creation. For that we need to create 2 staging tables and need a new segment for these tables. Our data will move from SAP transactions to these 2 tables and we want to fetch this data via dsn into another third party S/W.
I am unaware of such kind of working, can you please help me how to create new segment and how to create dsn for accessing tables in this segment.
Our requirement is as follow.
The staging tables are required in the SAP database with user name and password. The user should have all access to the staging table only.
Requesting your kind help on this issue. Please suggest for further processing of activity.

Common way to integrate SAP (database) with third party Application is to use and implement SAP Connector (Java or .Net).
Using this, you can fetch the data from SAP database to use it in Third party application.
As per my understanding the method you mentioned, will void the SAP database license term.
So Please check before doing such configuraiton. Also that method is NOT recommended..

Need clarification on SAP NetWeaver Certification

I am having six months experience in SAP. Now I have planned to take NetWeaver certification. I know the following ways.
1) Attend an Instructor-led ABAP Certification Academy(25 working days, 8hrs/day, 5 days/week, approx Rs.3 Lakh) at an SAP Education Center or Partner such as Siemens, Genovate etc.
2) Attend an e-learning course at an SAP Online Contact Center(flexible times, no instructor, approx Rs.1,25,000)
3) Get your company to endorse your ABAP Experience and sponsor your certification(approx Rs.28000, exam only, no materials, no training!)
4) Register for SAP TechEd and hope they offer a complimentary certification like they do every year(3 days, lots of fun, should be around Rs.15000, no training, a few materials)
But I heard that there is one more way of doing that, without affording such a big amount and having less experience. Is that true? Can anyone help me out?

Suppose a note X says corrections are delivered in the attached correction instruction, then its enough if we implement that specific note X.
=>Before implementing those correction verify whether that X note applicable to your system release. Also verify is any manual code correction instructed in that note.
If we go to correction instruction then it may have several other notes, do we need to implement all those notes specified in correction instruction 1st and then implement main note or directly we can apply Main note X.

I have the latest version of Crossover, and only experienced this problem recently.
I want to run exe install files (from DAZ3D, and some self-extracting zip files I created), and install content into my Poser installations.
I used to just click, and run the install.
Now, all I get is some welcome message, with a bunch of options I don't understand... bottles, and such.
Can anyone help me understand how to make this work?

To start off, basically Crossover uses WINE which frames programmes in bottles. Bottles can be various windos versions and you can have several. This is a virtualisation technology. Can you post images of the screens that you are seeing.

To get more technical: there is a way to install unrecognised programmes. It does involve access to Windows. 1)install program on Windows 2) copy installed file information(folders, dll...) 3) copy registry information((careful here)) go to start>run>regedit in regedit search for program name and export information. 4)copy over folders into proper bottle and import the exported registry info into the same bottle. and that should work. (SOME PROGRAMS MAY NOT JUST WORK YET WITH CROSSOVER, PLEASE BE PATIENT WHILE THEY UPDATE)

I have to find install disks for OSX 10.1 up to 10.4.11 install discs with Classic. I'm happy to pay for them or for a downloaded copy. If anyone has them please let me know.

Since there aren't any sources for legally downloading them, you'll end up buying each one. Apple hasn't made any of them available for free download. Check eBay, as you may be able to find some of them listed. OS 10.1 is the least desirable one to bother with, because many consider it to be the beta version of OS X. If you're planning on installing an early version of OS 10, start with Jaguar (10.2.x). As for running Classic, some of the Power Mac G4 and newer models that shipped with both OS X and a Classic disk (which is run from the OS X installer) included a model-specific OS 9.2.x software build. The Restore OS 9 disk(s) that shipped with pre-OS X Macs and the retail/universal installer Mac OS 9.x disk won't install on certain models because the disks lack specific components found only on the included Restore disks for that computer.

im working in omnix international llc Jordan company
i need to install netweaver 7.0 ehp1 i recently received the DVD which its 30dvd with the ERP 6.0 and oracle database
and with blue-ray 25 giga that contain solution manager
i think that to start installing ERP i should install netweaver before so i check the master guide and i see that its helpless
so if any one have an idea how to start installing sap netweaver and then installing ERP and what hardware i need for the installation or any useful document that could help please post because i think the installation is the biggest challange im facing in my career .

The installation is easy, not to worry
Go to the link Sunny has provided. Here you will find the Installation guides for both ERP and Netweaver.
In case you need a standalone Netweaver system, then in the instguides link, goto SAP Netweaver-> SAP Netweaver 7.0-> Installation. When you scroll down, take the guide under Installation-> SAP Netweaver systems. Based on your platform you can easily install. The tool used for installation is SAPINST.
The same holds good for ERP. You do not have to install Netweaver first and then ERP. YOu can directly install a ERP system in which the Netweaver components will automatically come. The guides for reference is in the link Sunny provided under SAP Business Suite Applications-> SAP ERP. You take the Installation master DVD for Business Suite-> goto ERP. Again SAPINST is the tool used. The installaton guide will very well tell you the steps. Ensure the Database is installed before starting the installation of the SAP system.
