Hi ITPSB,
Base on my experience, you only write above code into your index page head, also you could add this into every page.
And about the domain redirect, I suggest you could implement a 301 redirect to your custom domain. That will notify search engine spiders that the URL has permanently moved and they will update their index. I suggest you refer to those posts (http://stackoverflow.com/a/13634333)
and

Hope it helps.

Sorry, I am a new user and may be this is not the place to put such information
We need a developer for making a videochat service  ( person-to-person chat) to our web dating site.   I presume that this has to be based on STRATUS  and Flash player  10 using it's  p2p capability. The main site is on PHP,  user data in MySql , all is running on Linux Centos ( clone of Redhat ) .  You can adress to me directly via  email [email protected] . Thank you

Yes, I just changed my browser to Internet Explorer and same result, I
still can not read any PDF documents loaded to this site.
I have not tried un installing adobe but that is next, then reinstalling
    while in Explorer.

  • Do I need Bea Weblogic Portal for simple web site ?

I have a decision making situation here to use or not to use Bea Weblogic portal 8.1 for my web application along with struts.
Situation : Application has service( batch process with client applications, hand held devices ) and web ( browser based interaction ) oriented architecture. Data flows into centralized system and this data being diagnosed for analysis and displayed on web ( text and as graphical charts ).
I do not see much content management required like Yahoo, but have lots of configurable dynamic presentation . ( dynamic page views DHTML, graphical charts etc,.).
Question : Is Bea Weblogic Portal 8.1 of any use in this situation ?
    Thanks in advance.

First let me thank you("duffymo") for your interest in responding to this post. You're most welcome.
I am in elementary at BEA WLP, trying to understand and use it for the first time.
I am analysing at very high level view of architecture.Thinking before doing is an excellent idea. I commend you for exploring it before plunging in.
Struts brings the frame work for web application that controls flow and model.
Seems to be WLP brings the personalization to the web site.I think that's correct. Struts is a JSP/servlet-based Web presentation framework that helps you maintain MVC separation using a Model-2 scheme. (Google for unfamiliar terms.)
Bringing WLP in to the picture makes any sense.I agree if you meant "does not make any sense". You don't need a portal, based on your earlier description. Roles might be in play here. You'll have one for each of the three scenarios that you described in your earlier response.
You'll NEVER have a situation where someone will have the client and admin views visible at the same time. It sounds like your three roles are mutually exclusive. In that case a portal isn't necessary.
Do they;( Bea WLP, Struts ) go hand in hand in the same architecture. Can I achieve the same by just
using struts with out WLP.You can certainly use Struts with BEA's WebLogic. That's a J2EE app server, which has a servlet/JSP engine built in. Maybe that's the confusion here. Is your client insisting that you use WebLogic or the Portal product? They work together. I don't believe you can use the Portal product without WebLogic, but you can use WebLogic without the Portal. Clarify that point with your customer. Maybe they're just asking that you deploy on WebLogic. THAT is quite sensible.
You need to ask your customer another question: do they already have a license for WebLogic and Portal, and is the software installed and running, or are they planning to buy one for the sake of this project? If they want to spend the money and give you a chance to learn WebLogic by all means let them, but know that there are other, free alternatives. (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, etc.)
Here's one for you: how familiar are you with J2EE? Have you done any projects with EJBs? Will this project require them? How well do you know Struts/servlets/JSPs/JSTL, or will this be your first time with them, too?
I would like to learn WLP feature, but trying to save money for my client by not using too many
technologies.I agree. It's something you can add on later if you need it. Best to get the base application up and running first.

  • I need to open a column of web sites from a spreadsheet at one time. How can I do this?

I have a spreadsheet of web sites. I am looking for a way to open them in Firefox. I want to open 15-30 of them at a time to see what is English and what is safe for work.

Does your spreadsheet software show the URLs as live links? In that case, if Firefox is your default browser, you could click the links individually to load each site.
You also could try saving the spreadsheet as HTML and opening it in Firefox to ease that process a bit.
(Automating the process probably will take longer than doing it manually...)

  • I need to open up the same web site in two separate tabs. Since I upgraded to Firefox 6 when I try to open the web page in a new tab from the list in the drop down in the address window it only gives be the option to switch to the tab already have open.

When I go the drop down from the address window, rather than showing the URL of the website I want open in a second tab it says "Switch to tab." But I don't want to switch to the tab - I want to open a second tab on the same URL. If I want to open it a second time I have to manually key in the address. Is there some way to turn this off so I can open up the second tab using the same address from the drop down? I have always been able to do this with previous versions of Firefox.

I am no longer with Verizon but my old WEB site is still up and working and is causing problems by people using it and contacting people.  Need help to remove the old WEB site from the internet.
Who do I call for help?

    Hi there,
Not sure why you thought this question belonged in the home networking forum. However, my suggestion would be to log into your old site and add a script to redirect people to your new site. Sorry if that seems obvious but it's a simple approach to the problem.

  • Web site help required.

I need professional help with my Dreamweaver web site.  Can you please help? Andy -[Email removed]

    Hi Heather, hello Andy,
in my view: Please use a file manager (windows explorer, speedcommander) to copy the missing files into your directorys from where you load up your files onto your server.
Speedcommander e.g. is able to find out the differences between the different files (synchronizing files).
What concerns your different versions, I solved this with translated websites as you can see it here (see Swedish flags):
    http://www.dala-laegret1963.de/.

    P.S.
Of course I and many other "cracks" could help you, BUT I for my part, "ich glaube Ihr packt das auch ganz allein!"

  • Single page web site with 6 sections

I need to create a single page web site with 6 sections. How do I set the page height/width? What are the settings I need to get started?

You can set your page width in the Site properties  but generally you don't need to as the default setting works well. The height will be determined by your content.

  • Publish Error - An error occurred while publishing file "/Web/Sites/iWeb/X"

    Hello everyone,
I've been using mac for about 10 years now and have finally decided to try out this iWeb application. Spent several hours putting the site together... fun... but when I hit the publish button, the following error popped up.
    Publish Error
An error occurred while publishing file "/Web/Sites/iWeb/X". (X being my site name which also happens to be my .mac account name.
So I've spent another 3 hours trying it over and over again but still no luck. So I've searched this forum and see if there's any tips. Found a lot of solutions but none of them seem to help. I've deleted all the folders and file on my 'Sites' folder on the iDisk. Closed all running apps before hitting the 'Publish' button. And I've even deleted all my work and tried just to upload the 'welcome' page. Still doesn't work.
I'm getting a bit annoyed... Are there any solutions for my problem??
    I'm using a PowerBook G4 12" 1.33GHz Mac OS X 10.4.9 with iWeb 1.1.2
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!!

Probably not. No big deal, really. The important thing is we have been able to get your site on the .Mac server, albeit in the homepage directory.
Ok here's your last assignment. This will also take awhile, but when you are finished your site will be up on .Mac and accessible using the web.mac.com/username/iWeb/sitename url.
Since you have already initiated a publish to .Mac from iWeb, the root directory for iWeb should be on your iDisk. You should be able to navigate to the iWeb folder following this path:
    Go/iDisk/MyiDisk/Web/Sites/iWeb/SiteFolder
"SiteFolder" should be a folder named for the site you are having trouble publishing.
On your desktop, open the Site folder that iWeb delivered when you published the original site using the Publish to a Folder... command. You will see a number of folders in there and a number of page.html files. Drag each of these into the Site Folder mentioned earlier, on the iDisk. (The one named for the site). The root index.html file, (the one published outside of the Site folder) needs to be placed in the Web/Sites folder; you should see it in the column above the iWeb folder when done. Basically, you are "manually" uploading your site. It's cumbersome and a royal pita, but if successful, this exercise will confirm what I have suspected all along:
The problem is a latency/time-out error. (The actual error message itself is misleading and somewhat immaterial--iWeb probably chose it randomly). Lots of things contribute to it, but basically, iWeb gets tired of waiting on the WebDav protocol and then generates an error message. I wish I could be more specific, but that's about as close as I can get to the core issue. Many folks publish successfully from your area of the world; just keep trying, and when all else fails, you can always swap out the changed files manually following the method outlined above.

  • Install button on web-site

    Hi;
Not sure if this is the proper Forum for this question. Not even sure I worded the Title of the question correctly.
Have Access 2010. Understand how to run Package & Deploy.
What I haven't learned yet; nor after a lot of searches have found; how or what to use to accomplish the following:
Need an Install button on our web-site.
The Installation must do four things:
    1. Determine the version of Windows on the User's PC.  (XP, Vista, 7)
    2. Determine if the User has MSWord installed AND which version., (2003, XP, 2007, 2010)
    3. Download and install the proper Access Package that matches the User's PC.
4  If the User has XP, register a DLL & OCX Service.
If Vista or 7, register just a DLL Service.
Note: Neither needs a reboot. Both will be in the Package / Deploy cab file.
Would someone be so kind and point me in the proper direction?
Thank You for taking the time to read this post.
    Andy

    Bregent;
Thank You for Your reply.  Both You and SnakeEyez have been very helpful.
The code at http://www.useragentstring.com/ will do the job of determining the windows version.
Have learned from Access Forums that "Late Binding" will do the job of determing if the User has MSWord installed AND which version., (2003, XP, 2007, 2010) and that the Package & Deploy feature in Access will register a DLL & OCX Service.
What I haven't learned yet; nor have been able to find is:
How to place a "Command Button" on the web-site that will start the entire process.
Know how to place a "Submit" button for an on-line form and know that the script for "Submit" can be changed, BUT a "Submit" button is very limited.
So the only question remaining is:
How do You place a "Command Button" on a web-site that will start the entire process?
IE: Determine the version of Windows then start the download of the "Package & Deploy" application.
Give You an example.  When You find the driver at HP.Com there is a "Download" button that when clicked starts the download.
    That's what we need...
    a "Download" button.
Where is the option to "Insert" a Command Button in Dreamweaver?  Is there one?  If not where do I start my search for an item that will accomplish the same thing?
Thank You for taking the time to read this post.

  • I am running 10.6.8 and using iweb for my web site. After several SEO analysis they all indicate I need H1-6 header tags. After looking at the source code I see there are none in iweb. Is it necessary to add? If so, how do I add H Tags to iweb.

I am running 10.6.8 and using iweb for my web site. After several SEO analysis they all indicate I need H1-6 header tags. After looking at the source code I see there are none in iweb. Are they necessary to add?  Why would one add these tags and how do I add H Tags to iweb? And are there examples to look at? I am slowly learning about simple web design and assumed that iweb was stand alone without having to write code. Is this one of the reasons iweb is no longer supported? Thanks for looking at this!

A simple text page like this:
    Heading
        sub heading
              text paragraph ....
Is traditionally represented by html tags like:
    <h1>Heading</h1>
         <h2>sub heading</h2>
              <p>text paragraph ... </p>
I would guess that the use of h1-h6 tags helps search engines to understand the structure of a page as the tags imply a certain structure.
This can be compared to more generic tags like <div> that could represent any kind of content - and may be what iWeb uses (you'll have to check yourself).
I would generally recommend that you use some kind of up to date blog/site building tool, perhaps Wordpress or Squarespace (I haven't used either one myself) that support current web technologies - this should reduce your SEO issues and make it easier to properly support mobile/tablet users.

  • I changed web hosts and can't publish through iWeb SEO Tool or Rage Site Map Automator. Do I need to delete the old site map?

I switched to iPage hosting since Mobile Me is expiring. Also recently upgraded to OS X 10.7.3 and am using iWeb 3.0.4 for my web site design. I published directly to the FTP from iWeb but all title tags, meta tags have disappeared and I'm not showing up in Google or others. I tried publishing from iWeb SEO but it couldn't complete the process.
Should I first publish to a folder as I did before with Mobile Me, then delete all old sitemaps and start over with the Site Map Automator and then try to publish from the SEO tool? Will I lose the key words and meta tags that are already in iWeb SEO?
    Thanks!

The problem is that most tech support people don't understand how iWeb structures a site.
When a visitor types in "domain-name-com" the browser expects to find an index.html in the root folder on the server. In "normal" websites the index.html file is the first page of the site.
The iWeb index.html file is a redirect to the first, or landing, page of the site which is the one at the top of the left column in iWeb just below the site name.
    iWeb produces two index.html files.
One is outside of the folder containing the rest of the files and directs to - folder-name/home-page-name.html
The other one is inside the folder and directs to - home-page-name.html
You have two choices of how you upload the files since you are publishing to a local folder.
You can upload the whole folder plus the external index.html to the root folder on the server and the URL to any page will be...
    http://www.domain-name.com/site-name/page-name.html
If you upload the contents of the site folder, and not the folder or the external index.html, the URL will be...
    http://www.domain-name.com/page-name.html
See this page for more info and the warning about breaking the RSS feed....

If I switch on my iCloud will I still be able to access my iWeb created web site currently on MobileMe. I understand I need to find another host before June, but I would like to access iCloub before then.

If you want to migrate your MobileMe account to iCloud you do so at http://me.com/move . You will need Lion 10.7.2 on your Mac to be able to use its facilities. Your calendars, contacts, bookmarks and email will be moved to iCloud.
Your iDisk, including website hosting and Gallery, will be unaffected and can still be accessed as before, though the migration process will probably sign you out in System Preferences>MobileMe and you will need to sign in again there.
You will continue to be able to use your iWeb site as before. As you say, this will cease at the end of June. This page examines some alternatives:
