Need to personaliza table to add data filter
I have developed a custom page with 2 buttons and a simple table.
I need to personalize the page to add data filters. I tried to do the same by clicking on the Query personalize link for the table personalization.
The Create Query page opened up, but the data filter section shows the following
Data Filter
No data filters can be created for this region.
Can somebody throw some light on this.

Is it possible to add some filters to a paged dataset?
One of the columns is date, its in unix format, and isn't displayed, the pretty date is in a visible column. I want to have 3 check boxes:
1. Expires within 3 months
2. Expires within 2 months
3. Expires within 1 month
I have been reading this: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/data_region/MultipleFiltersSample.html
And realise that I need to write something like this:

But due to knowing very little about JavaScript I am not sure how to do the date comparison.
Can Javascript handle unix dates?
Each filter will be something like this:

show records where daterow is between today and today minus 1 month

SteveHmph, I may have to abandon this filter, the performance is dire. It takes over 3 seconds to filter a list of 22 records, thats with none matching the filter. If I use a list with 230 rows it crashes the browser.
I do have a keyword filter on this list as well, you type in part of a keyword and it filters it straigh away, even the 230 long list. Why mine is killing the performance I really don't know.

I can upgrade, but not really sure if I want to pay an additional $30 for a data plan. I was thinking of buying a used blackberry first, can I use it for txt and calls, or do I need to add a data plan for it to work?

If you activate a smartphone on the Verizon network, it will automatically add the $29.99/month unlimited data feature to your account.
These phones do NOT need data to FUNCTION, and they could make calls, send texts, use wifi, etc. just fine without Verizon's data plan. Verizon chooses to require you to pay for the data plan in order to access the privelege of activating that type of device on their network.
The phones which require the $9.99/month plan ARE generally a bad value. They make poor use of the data feature, and they will probably never be free of that requirement. I would suggest looking at older 3GMM type phones. Models like the enV2 and original Samsung Alias do not require the data plan but offer more substantial feature sets and higher quality than the currently available "Feature" phones.
Thanks, it just seems crazy. I am eligible for 4 of my phones, for the "FREE PHONE EVERY 2 YRS", and it almost seems like I am down grading? We have a LG voyager, and 3 LG dares. There are no phones in the verizon line that compare to these with out going to a 9.99 or 29.99 extra/mth charge? It just does not seem right?

I need to create dashboard prompt with date-filter and initialize it with current date. How can I do that?
I tried to create repository initialization block and add variable. But I don't know what should I write to DataSource? I tried to use functions Now(), Current_Date, sysdate (for example, SELECT Now() FROM tbl_Calendar) but without results - when I pressed "Test..." button I got errors - something like "Now() is unknown function" or "Incorrect syntax near key word Current_Date".
After that I tied to use Presentation Variable in Prompt, but also without success ((
Please, help me.I've created Repository Variable "CurrentDate", using SQL-query like this "select convert(varchar(10), getdate(), 104)" and now this variable is being initialized by value "07.04.2011". But I don't understand how to use this varible in DashboardPrompt! What item in list "Default selection" I should choose - "Variable Expression", "Server Variable" or something else? When I chose "Variable Expression" and write "CurrentDate" I got just string "CurrentDate" when preview Prompt. @{CurrentDate} gave me the same result.

Date Filter uses unknown property by default, doesnt work
Created a filterable and sortable table by dragging and dropping in VO from a AM. While it automatically sets the appropriate properties for filtering, and for non-date fields it works fine, for dates always "no row are found," even if I specifically choose a valid date where rows should return.
I noticed in the property inspector, the inputdate value in the column's facet filter is set to an invalid value (by default when dragged and dropped!). In the property inspector, the value is outlined in orange (value=#{vs.filterCriteria.trSentOnDate}, populated by default), and the tooltip states "filterCriteria is an unknown property."

New error now. I neglected to set the attribute Format and Format Type. I set those in the VO (Simple Date and MM/dd/yyyy, respectively), and now I get a nullPointerException.
I hit enter after entering a date, and a popup shows the following:

Table date filter not working properly
Hi OTN,
I have noticed that table date filter not always working properly.
When I copy actual value from column outputText to column filter and hit Enter - I see an empty table.

I suspect the problem to lie among date formats.
But I tried to delete convertDateTime from outputText or add it under filter inputDate. Nothing helped.

Add data to table view from input fields in a page

I am developing a BSP page which will be called from SRM shop transaction. After user enters the line item data, data will be passed back to shop transaction using OCI interface and the page attributes (URL).
(1) How can I add data from input fields to table view on a page on a button click? I am able to add first line but I could not retain first line data when I try to add the second line.
I am able to add multiple lines to table view if I use view and controller by adding to the line data to static attribute of the controller. I cant use the controller and view because I can not set the attribute to Controller automatically.
(2) Is there a way to pass an attribute (URL) to controller from SPRO? Like we pass an attribute to page automatically (Automatic page attribute).
(3) How can I call a controller and view and pass the page attribute to the controller on a button click from a page with out controller?

Need to add a filter to imported SQL
I used the File\Import-SQL menu option to import an existing query from another application. The query runs and creates a results table. I do not see an option in the Query\Request section to add a filter so that the user can select a range of values at runtime. I am using BI + Interactive Reporting Studio version 9.3.

You can generate a single script for all tables using INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES view
You can make then of NOT NULL type and set the default value to GETDATE()
In addition you can also have a Audit Trail trigger for UPDATE to make sure Modified date gets updated correctly on each update if not passed explicitly.

EA1: BUG: View Table Data: Filter gets lost when switching tabs
Hi,
open a table, choose the data tab and enter a filter condition. The data is filtered.
Bug is
a) choose e.g. constraint tab for the same table and then again the data tab. Data remains filtered, but filter is not displayed
b) pin the table, open another table, navigate back to the previous table. Data remains filtered, but filter is not displayed.
