Need to set background color of AdvandedDataGrid Rows !... (Almost there !)

I made a subclass to implement drawRowBackground but i can't get an instance of the data assigned to the particular row... I just need to know how to use the hierarchicalData dataProvider class to do this. (Data comes from an XMLList structure.)

As you can see tou can build an array from your dataprovider and then use array[index][condition_for_color_property].

Setting background color for entire row of a JTree

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how I can define the component for the entire width of a row of a JTree, not just a section after the arrow and indentation as by implementing a custom TreeCellRenderer.
Any help would be appreciated.

The arrow is part of the UI. You may be able to do this by changing your UI settings The arrow is called a handle - you can set custom handle icons so that may be one approach. Someone else may have a better idea.

We almost had the same requirement, but we just needed to color a specific column.
Here goes the solution to that, you might do the same for your row highlighting
Changes are required in jsff and one method to be added in backing bean

open the file in Excel and save it, just to ensure that Excel writes all the additional stuff it thinks is necessary.
Now change the background colour of the header and save the file again but with a different name.
Open both files in a text editor and look at the differences. That's what you need to change in your code.
Alternatively you can use packages like xml_spreadsheet or ExcelDocumentType, both write the same file format that you use in your code and you don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Change the background color of selected row in adf table

Hi,
Can somebody guide me in changing the background color of a row when its being selected. In my ADF table, one of the column is of type Command Link. So whenever i click this command link on any particular row that complete row color should change as an indication of that row being selected.
Please guide me to do this. I referred to other forum posts, but they couldnt meet my need.

you're right. This should work. But the result is not perfect from my point of view.

You can set the OwnerDraw property of the ListView to true and use the DrawItem event:

Problem to set background color for configTable cell

I've a configTable displays some status fields, and I need to set yellow color when the status is in processing and green when finished and red when cancelled. I've searched the forum and decided to use iterator with method RENDER_CELL_START. Here are the steps that I've done.
Step 1: wrote a new class ZCL_ACTSTAT_ITERATOR implements interface IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR.
    this class has a private attribute ORDERS containing the search result internal table data, in the CONSTRUCTOR method I pass the search result to the attribute using the statement ME->ORDERS = ORDERS. Then in the method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START I check the p_column_key for the status fields and then get the status value and set p_style accordingly using the following statement:

The DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method is like bellow:

There's no simple one-button method for changing the background color, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. You'll need to insert an object on your page, turn off wrap (from the Wrap inspector, change its color, stretch it to fit the page, then send it to the background (from the Arrange menu).

Getting the background color from a row

I'm displaying a table that has alternating row colors for odd and even... when I click on a row I am changing the color to blue. When I click on a different row I want to set the background color back to what it was for the originally selected row and change the currently selected row to blue. This worked just fine when I had the colors hard coded into the code... but as soon as I started using style sheets it stoped working,
My questions is how do I get the background color from a row... for instance, the following alert dislays nothing. How can I get the actual color out for the row?

If you're working with style sheets, then ignore the background color. You don't want to care what color is actully being used, only that the correct style is in place.
Worry instead about the className property for your row:<style>

I have done this before by using a for loop to change the active cell of a row in order to give the appearance that the whole row is turning the color at once.

A couple of things...
Thats SQL - not PL/SQL
That is not a valid SQL statement, I'm surprised its not giving an error. Please post the exact region source.
When posting code on the forum, put {noformat}{noformat} (with the curly brackets and the word code in lowercase) above and below your code like this...
{noformat}{noformat}
SELECT *
FROM emp
{noformat}{noformat}
It will then appear like this... SELECT *
FROM emp
