Need to write a TSR in Java to monitor when to open an application

I need to have a TSR (preferably in Java) to monitor keyboard strokes.
when a specific combination of keys was typed - it mean System Administrator typed it and need his system admin application to open.
And I don't have a clue how to approach this issue/subject.

AFAIK that's not possible in Java without some sort of GUI component to add a KeyListener to. The way to do it then would be to use JNI:

Java won't let me open an application

I am trying to launch a problem that requires Java and I am currently running Java 6 update 17. I get this error message everytime I try to run the program:

Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError when trying to start application in JDEV11

HI all,
i just start trying JDEV 11 production and have some problems:
I have an Appplication, which contains three projects:
View -> Model -> Misc
Every one of the projects depends on the previous once (that means Model from Misc, View from Misc and Model)
In the View project i have Init servlet which have <load-on-startup>2</load-on-startup>
The servlet code reffers to the some classes which are located in a jar files (setted as a project libraries on a Misc).
Till TP4 everything was working fine, however in the production i receive :
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: CLASS_NAME
at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findLocalClass
when servlet code reffers to a class which is in a jar file (setted as a project libraries on Misc).
I recreate the application (with aim to avoid Tp4/Production version incompatibilties) but the result is the same.
I suppose that's because of the WebLogic server , can somebody advice with this ?

I found the problem , but still cannot found the very origin:
When running dependency analysis , JDEV build a special script .beabuild.txt where there is a mapping between absolute
jar file path and destinition to be deployed:
"E:/Oracle/Middleware/jdeveloper/jlib/help4.jar = Krasi-View-webapp/WEB-INF/lib/help4.jar"
On some reason , the jars added as a project libraries does not exist here , even if there descrption persists in the .jpr files.
Can somebody help me with this?
P.S.As a temporary solution I can add description manually in the .beabuild.txt but the point is to prevent overriding the file on server start

Eventually library jar file should be placed under the /WEB-INF/lib/ folder, since i'm not sure which is happen first (beabuild.txt generation or libraries upload)

IPhoto broken - Empty window when I open the application - Help needed

Hi Guys,
Since my upgrade to Snow Leopard my iPhoto 09 has been completely broken. What I get when I start it up is an empty window. No pictures on the right pane and no menus on the left pane. I read many threads about iPhoto issues, and so I have tried to rebuild the library, reinstall iPhoto from the disk I got with my mac. Still the same problem: On startup, iPhoto opens with a completely blank window. All I have are the three buttons at the bottom left side of the window (+, info and enlarge). Only if I click "+" to add a new album the menus on the left pane (events, photos...) appear. A few clicks on these menus and iPhoto crashes. All this, done with a new, clean library. I moved the old one, and keep it for the day I'll get iPhoto to work again. Hope you guys can help. This is painfully frustrating.

I am using Suitcase Fusion 2 and just activitating Helvetica Neue in Suitcase seemed to fix this problem I have had for several months.
I highly recommend doing the activation in Suitcase instead of just droping it into the System Fonts folder. This will allow for Suitcase to activate or deactivate the font. If you put the font into one of your folders, Suitcase can not deactivate, which might be necessary if your job uses a different version of Helvetica Neue.

I meant flickering means...when i open combobox and click focus is going out of air window as though combobox is in some another window. once click press mouse down...focus is in combo box but window loses focus and once releases mouse ..window back to focus. Kinda annoying effect when u try to click on combo box and select.
Tested with html scout sample app and load any webpage with combobox , window loses focus.
But any combobox made using EXT it do not flicker because ext handles focus event correctly.
My windows has set of combo box and user always select different value from combo box if keep losing focus and coming back its annoying as hell.

There are 2 options for things like this:
1) Use Runtime.exec() to execute some command or application and parse the input from it.
2) Write some native code and use JNI to call it.

Write out file from java UDF?

I have a synchronous RFC->XI->HTTP (no BPM) process and need to write out a log of the call details each time it runs. At first, I tried having multiple receivers (one for HTTP and one for log file) in IB:Config, but received an error that I "cannot have multiple receivers when synchronous call".
Should I be able to write out a file using java code in a UDF? Should I do something with a BPM (and if so, any hints)?

It deppends on which kind of log you want and how much time you're willing to spend on this.
If you want to learn BPM and has available time to learn and implement, go for it. It will provide you more flexibility (since you can use any adapter protocol) and is way better for maintenance purposes.
Your BPM will basically have 4 steps:
1. A Receiver step in "Open S/A Bridge" mode;
2. A Sender step in Asynchronous mode (to send the log message to your target system);
3. A Sender step in Synchronous mode (to send the request to HTTP and receive the response);
4. A Sender step in "Close S/A Bridge" mode.
The mapping can be made in three ways:
1. mapping between RFC and BPM (so your BPM will have abstract interfaces based on HTTP interface); or
2. mapping between BPM and HTTP (so your BPM will have abstract interfaces based on RFC interface); or
3. create 2 transformation steps in the BPM, one to map from RFC.request to HTTP.request and the other to map from HTTP.response to RFC.response (I'd not recomend this).

Current Situation: The above command line parameter when executed is working as expected in a User's Workspace.
When executed in a command line on the Application Server, it is working as expected.
But, the same is not working while executing it from Deployed environment.
Software being used: 1. Adobe 11.0 enterprise version. 2. Webshpere Application Server 8.5.5.2.
Please let us know if there is a way to enable trace logs in Adobe Reader to further diagnose this issue.

Help needed in writting Customer exit - ABAP Code

I have a scenario in one of the query and need to write a customer exit for the same. Here is the scenario:
I am using one input variable XXX to get input from user which feeds value to one of the charateristic lets say "CHAR1" in query. I have one more characteristic "CHAR2" which has to get the value from the same variable XXX. This is not allowed in BI7.0 as the variable is Hierarchy Node type. It gives error that "Variable XXX is used for two different characteristics."
So i need to create one more vaiable YYY which will get the value from XXX and then YYY will feed value to CHAR2. I would appreciate if some one could tell me step by step how to write customer exit and give me the piece of ABAP code i need to write in my case.
Your help will be appreciated in terms of points.

1. What should CHAR2 take - Hierarchy node variable or something else ?
--> CHAR2 is a simple charateristic
2. In your scenario - why have CHAR1 and CHAR2 ? why not have the user enter values against CHAR2 ??
--> We dont want user to enter two input as the input values for both Chars are same.
3. Did you try using a replacement path variable with the CHAR2 variable taking values from Variable on CHAR1 ?
--> In BI7.0 replacement path variable only take values from Query results. So not able to do the same.
