Negative Signs added after data is imported

Hello
I'm kind of new in BPC to start, but I need to know why is that after the data is imported into BPC (using transformation and conversion files) the data has the negative(-) inserted on all the data.
After doing the import, I verified the transformation file  and the output generated is without the negative, but after it's imported the negative is added.
Here's my transformation file...

España Rodrigo Gabriel,
The "-" signs are depends on accouynt type, Account Type "AST" and "LEQ" has logic in BPC to manage the signes. You will have to manage the imported data to make sure it works right with the account type.
Hope this helps.

  • Will data be updated in the infocube if char. are added after instalation

    Will data be updated in the infocube if charecteristics are added after instalation? can any one help me.

    Nag,
    do you mean tat the IO is added to te cube after data has been loaded ? ( I am not sure if you can do this )
    If it means customizing the delivered version of Business content , you will have to add te IO o the update rules as well , and add the same if required to the Transfer rules and data source to populate date.
    BW is not that intelligent enough to realize what IOBJ you have added and how you want it filled without you specifying the same.

  • I've imported PowerBI designer file. so why do I keep getting 'It looks like you haven't added any data to this dashboard'

    This might be related to my post about not being able to enter a column name in the where clause, and Q&A always using COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN.
    Anyway, I took my original designer file, removed the first page of the report I dd, then added a new page, but this time with a visualisation of sales amount by product name.  Saved the whole lot to a new pbix file, and uploaded it into the PowerBI
    cloud.  Pinned the visualsation to a dashboard, and started to enter a query.
    Up pops the message 'It looks like you haven't added any data to this dashboard' etc, etc.
    But, but, but I have uploaded the data. It's all in my pbix file. It seems that PowerBI usese the first column of my first dataset as the master for column names in the where clause. And if you do not have a visualisation that uses that column (i.e. COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN
    in my case) then Q&A doesn't think it has a dataset.
    I am going to try some other tests to see if I can persuade PowerBI and Q&A to do its business properly.

    so here is the deal:

    * TableSorter is a decorator for TableModels; adding sorting
    * functionality to a supplied TableModel. TableSorter does
    * not store or copy the data in its TableModel; instead it maintains
    * a map from the row indexes of the view to the row indexes of the
    * model. As requests are made of the sorter (like getValueAt(row, col))
    * they are passed to the underlying model after the row numbers
    * have been translated via the internal mapping array. This way,
    * the TableSorter appears to hold another copy of the table
    * with the rows in a different order.
    * <p/>
    * TableSorter registers itself as a listener to the underlying model,
    * just as the JTable itself would. Events recieved from the model
    * are examined, sometimes manipulated (typically widened), and then
    * passed on to the TableSorter's listeners (typically the JTable).
    * If a change to the model has invalidated the order of TableSorter's
    * rows, a note of this is made and the sorter will resort the
    * rows the next time a value is requested.
    * <p/>
    * When the tableHeader property is set, either by using the
    * setTableHeader() method or the two argument constructor, the
    * table header may be used as a complete UI for TableSorter.
    * The default renderer of the tableHeader is decorated with a renderer
    * that indicates the sorting status of each column. In addition,
    * a mouse listener is installed with the following behavior:
    * <ul>
    * <li>
    * Mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and advances the sorting status of that column through three
    * values: {NOT_SORTED, ASCENDING, DESCENDING} (then back to
    * NOT_SORTED again).
    * <li>
    * SHIFT-mouse-click: Clears the sorting status of all other columns
    * and cycles the sorting status of the column through the same
    * three values, in the opposite order: {NOT_SORTED, DESCENDING, ASCENDING}.
    * <li>
    * CONTROL-mouse-click and CONTROL-SHIFT-mouse-click: as above except
    * that the changes to the column do not cancel the statuses of columns
    * that are already sorting - giving a way to initiate a compound
    * sort.
    * </ul>
    * <p/>
    * This is a long overdue rewrite of a class of the same name that
    * first appeared in the swing table demos in 1997.

    The code you posted doesn't help us at all. Its just a duplicate of the code from the tutorial. The custom code is what you have written. For example do you update the TableModel from the Event Thread? Do you update the SortModel or the DefaultTableModel? If you actually provide your test code and somebody has already downloaded the sort classes, then maybe they will test your code against the classes. But I doubt if people will download the sort classes and create a test program just to see if they can duplicate your results (at least I know I'm not about to).

      I entered all the Cheque details and its amount and added that incoming payment.
        After adding when i check the account balance 124563 its showing the balance as -63000.00 , the amount is shown in negative sign
        Company Details
          Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign is unchecked
       Please anyone help me out in making the balance with positive sign
    Edited by: Rajeswari Palaniyappan on Nov 25, 2008 10:00 AM

    Hi Rajeswari
    This is a common error that consultants make when implementing SAP Business One. There is no quick fix for this and the best is to create a new database and re-import all the transactions and masters. Make sure this time that the Display Credit Balance with Negative Sign is ticked.
    Unfortunately this one tick affects the way amounts are posted to the journal tables & others and cannot be fixed manually. You could try raising a support message with SAP but I am sure they will tell you the same thing I have.

  • Change of sign while extracting data using Open hub

    Hello All,
    We are extracting data from Info cube to a file in the application server using Open hub.
    While extracting data, if there is any negative value for the key figure, negative sign is appending on the right side of the value(Eg: "123.67-"), which is the standard behaviour but I want the sign to be on the left side of the value (Eg: "-123.67") while extracting to the file at application server.
    Could any one please let me know if there is any setting to do this change ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    Changing the SIGN position from one side of the NUMBER to the other side can happen in following ways.
    1) After the file is place in the application server. Deploy a OS SCRIPT file (for .csv) for obtaining the required changes to the required COLUMN [Basis team will have more idea on this]
    2)This is time consuming idea. well deploy a routine at the Open hub -Infospoke level.

  • Transferring the negative sign from Right to Left for a currency field.

    Hi All,
    I am trying to transfer the negative sign in a currency field from right to left but in doing that i am not getting the comma seperators of the currency field.
    For eg : If the value is 12,345,678.00- then after converting it i am getting it as
    -12345678.00 and i am loosing the commas.
    I am trying to transfer the negative sign by first converting the currency field into character field.
    Kindly help for the same.
    Thanks,
    Sharadendu

    Hi,
    Use FM CLOI_PUT_SIGN_IN_FRONT.
    Try this code as well
    data: var(10),
    length type i.
    var = '300-'.
    write var.
    length = strlen( var ).
    length = length - 1.
    replace first occurrence of '-' in var+length(1) with ''.
    concatenate '-' var into var.
    write:/ var.

  • PreparedStatement loses negative sign?!?: setInt()/setObject()

    I have 3 sql statements in my application (1 select/1 update and 1 insert) where I've noticed that after some time of working properly, all of a sudden these statements stop handling negative integers and instead process them as positive integers.
    i.e. the select statement would return result as if the where clause parameter was positive instead of negative, the insert statement would actually insert the number as a positive, etc... The only way for me to fix the problem is the restart the iPlanet application server (connecting to an oracle 8.1.7 db using the oracle 8.1.7 jdbc)
    I log the parameters from the PreparedStatement setInt() and setObject() comments just before execution and clearly the values are logged as negatives.
    e.g. (not the actual source code, but the same idea)
    PreparedStatement pstmt =
    conn.prepareStatement ("insert into testTable (anInt, name) values (?,?)");
    int anInt = -1;
    String name = "test";
    System.out.println("Before insert: " + anInt + " " + name); // outputs Before insert: -1 test
    pstmt.setInt(1, anInt);
    pstmt.setString (2, name);
    pstmt.execute ();
    ====================
    select * testTable;
    anInt name
    ===========
    1 test
    Any ideas?
    regards,
    Rob

    Did the author of the original posting (Rob Terro) ever learn anything about the nature of this problem and the appropriate fix?
    We are observing what sounds like the same behavior: after some time of working properly, all of the sudden stored procedures to which we pass negative parameters (in particular, -1) in Java start receiving these as positive parameters at the database.
    We are using the Oracle JDBC 8.1.6 thin driver, running on Solaris 5.9 generic_112233-03, using the Sun HotSpot JVM, version 1.3.1_07.
    We had been running with this configuration for some time without apparent problems. Recently, we added to the command line the JVM "-server -Xconcurrentio" options. These greatly improved performance, but apparently lead to this problem of losing negative signs when talking to Oracle. However, the problem appears erratically, so we are not 100% certain that these options cause the problem. Also, we would ideally like to hang on to the performance gains produced by using these options.
    How does this configuration compare to the configuration used by the original poster when he encountered this problem?
    Does anyone have insight into the possible nature of this problem?

  • Looking for advice on adding GPS data to pictures in iPhoto

    I'm thinking about beginning the process of adding GPS location data to my pictures in iPhoto. I've got about 9,000 pictures overall but was going to start with the ones from this year (about 1,500) as a trial. My digital camera is not GPS-enabled nor do I own a portable GPS receiver. Therefore, my option is basically to look at 3rd party apps that integrate with iPhoto to allow me to 'manually' add the data.
    From what I understand, iPhoto caches all EXIF data upon import so any additional information or metadata added after the pictures are in my iPhoto library would be lost or ignored (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If this is true, I'm looking at exporting the pictures out of iPhoto, bringing them into another application (like HoudahGeo) to add the GPS EXIF data, them re-importing them back into iPhoto. Seems like a lot of work, but down the road I like the idea of having all my photos tagged with their location info and being able to view them through Google Earth or other similar apps.
    Has anyone had experience doing this? Have you found a utility or other workflow that is easier than what I mentioned? Thanks in advance for any ideas or support anyone can provide.

    Bill:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. PhotoGPSEditor works well and you can batch add gps data based on Google Map determination. You can drag same location photos from iPhoto's thumbnail window into PhotoGPSEditor's window, add the gps data by selecting the location on the Google map and when you save it asks you for a location. Then you can save to a folder on the desktop and reimport. The gps data shows up under the Exposure section of the Info window in iPhoto.
    I've only done it on a test basis but it worked quit well.
    Do you Twango?

  • Event times adding a date

    I have a G5, a laptop and an iPhone being sync'd with MobileMe. The iPhone is new last week. I have been sync'ing the two computers via MobileMe for a few months.
    Yesterday I noticed on the MacBook in iCal that all the event start and stop times had a date added after the normal date and time. Like this: "10/13/2009 0915 AM 10/13/20"
    The "10/13/20" at the end is the new thing. It now shows in all the events for start and stop times.
    Under iCal Preferences there is also a new date added after the "Day Starts/Stops At"
    Like this: "6:00 AM 1/1/00" Not sure where the "1/1/00" comes from or what it indicates (the beginning of time?)
    I can't remove these dates.
    The G5 and the iPhone seemed to be fine for awhile until I got a message on the G5 that said that MobileMe wants to change 1200 events in the G5 iCal. I think the MobileMe Cloud now reflects the messed up MacBook and is trying to make the G5 read the same. I turned off all sync'ing of iCal via MobileMe.
    I researched the support site to see if this problem has been reported in the past. Found a lot of stuff but nothing that is the same.
    I do not see any other strange happenings in the MacBook iCal, just the extra dates. There may be some; but I haven't seen them yet.
    Has anyone seen this? Has anyone have a fix or an idea of what to do to remove the extra dates?
    Thanks for your help.
    John

    I would like to drag this question back into the light after a holiday weekend. I'm hoping someone out there can give me a new lead to follow. I have tried everything.
    I restored all the data on my computer with a backup that was 4 months old. When I opened iCal the data all had the extra date info added to every event. It was the same.
    Either the problem has been there for quite awhile (the laptop is not the principle computer for inputting events; the G5 is) or the problem is something in the MacBook OS that is adding the date info every time you insert a time (since it shows in each event and also in the preferences beside every start/stop time) or it is related only to the Intel MacBook and not to the Power PC G5.
    I am out of ideas.
    Any help? Thanks,
    John

    Hi Smash126,
    Based on the error message” Could not allocate a new page for database REPORTING' because of insufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY'. Create the necessary space by dropping objects in the filegroup, adding additional files to the filegroup, or setting
    autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup”, we can know that the issue is caused by the there is no sufficient disk space in filegroup 'PRIMARY' for the ‘REPORTING’ database.
    To fix this issue, we can add additional files to the filegroup by add a new file to the PRIMARY filegroup on Files page, or setting Autogrowth on for existing files in the filegroup to increase the necessary space.

  • Printing value fields with negative sign??

    Hello Experts,
    I have developed a interface, which writes the invoice data to application server/unix, this is a notepad. My specifications are as below,
    MWSK1(2)   TaxCode                         65     2     KONV-MWSK1
    KWERT(13)  Condition Value                  67     13   KONV-KWERT
    KSTEU(1)  Condition Control                80     1     KONV-KSTE
    I have to print KWERT value from 67th position until 13 positions, meaning until 80 positions, fine. My code is as below,
      MOVE: wa_invoice_price-mwsk1  TO unix_file+64(2).
      WRITE: wa_invoice_price-kwert    TO unix_file+66(13) RIGHT-JUSTIFIED.
      MOVE:  wa_invoice_price-ksteu    TO unix_file+79(1),
    So, it printing like below (pls. note 0.04 minus value in right bottom corner)
    P26701ZCG620101006C          100.00         0.00USD  1    UGL            0.00A A 9
    P60001ZF3520101006C          100.00         0.00USD  1    UGLG          0.04-H B 9
    But, business want to have like below (pls. note the DIFFERENCE for 0.04 minus value in right bottom corner),
    P26701ZCG620101006C         100.00        0.00USD  1    UGL               0.00   A A 9
    P60001ZF3520101006C         100.00         0.00USD  1    UGLG             0.04 - H B 9
    meaning, the 13th position should be negative sign (if at all any value does have a negative sign, else its normal)....so, the negative sign should sit on 13th postion. As am using WRITE statement with RIGHT JUSTIFIED am facing thisissue!! as u know we can not send a 'P' type value to unix/apps server, pls. let me know how to get it done?
    Thank you

    why can't the user live with a leading sign, like '-   0.04'?  If possible, do
    shift <fieldname> circular up to '-'.
    Or, if value is less than zero, set another variable to '-', else set to space, and multiply value with '-1', like:
    if <field> < 0.
       lv_sign = '-'.                " neagtive value
      <field> = <field> * '-1'.  "reverse the sign
    else.
    lv_sign = space.          "positive value
    endif.
    then, adjust your field length and insert a sign column or simply add a column for the sign....

  • How to display NEGATIVE sign on the left side of a number in SMARTFORMS

    Hi,
         In smartforms I'm trying to print some negative values, but the negative sign is displayed on the right hand side of the number.
    How can I display the '-' sign on the left hand side of a number. I tried the logic &value(<), it works well in sap scripts. Why is it not working in smartforms ?
    Eg :   I'm getting  the output  as  126.75 -
             I want :  - 126.75
