NetBeans 6.1 with IdM v8.0, Build Failed

Admittedly, I'm a newbie to the NetBeans 6.1 environment, working with Idm 8.0
I installed NB, and created a new IdM project.
Then I chose 'Manage Embedded Repository' which let's you choose a directory.
Is this a repository of flat files ?
I am actually wanting to do a 'clone' of an OOTB object from the DB repo, but it seems you can only 'clone' from a customized object. It looks like creating a clone of an OOTB object, is going to require some manual copy and paste, etc.
To connect to a database repository, would I have to run LH setup ?
Can I do this after creating an IdM project ?
I actually did a build and run project previously and worked well, bringing up the admin interface in a browser. When I attempt build now, I get an error:
Preparing image for environment target: sandbox
Loading Identity Manager classes...
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/waveset/task/Monitor
at java.lang.Class.getDeclaredMethods0(Native Method)
I did a build before; What could be different ?
I originally pointed to the v8.0 idm.war but don't see 'Monitor' in the .war
I may have to just start over and create a new Project, but would rather resolve this.
Suggestions, tips welcome. TIA.

I have another ? now on using NB 6.1 with IdM 8.0
Originally, I installed the NB with LocalFiles option, but have since used the run LH command, and setRepo ....
It did not seem to be permanent though, and in the course of a build I'm seeing
Starting internal database server ...
jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://127.0.0.1
Why ?
Also, I thought I would be able to open up a repo object (workflow or form) and then clone it, and start customizing the new object.
Under the IDM menu the 'Open Object' and 'Download Object(s)' menu options are greyed out. Alternatively I can try to browse, using the Identity Manager Palette, but I keep getting the 'Login' dialog box and even if I've done a build, I get the exception:
'May not login to the application Identity Manager prior to server initialization'.
I'm obviously doing something wrong.
Is there a way to do this correctly ?
TIA for your help, suggestions.

  • How do you setup a remote project with Netbeans 6.1 and IDM 8?

I have been using Netbeans with IDM 7.1 fine, but have now upgraded to IDM 8 and want to use the new Netbeans plugin. However there is no ide-bundle.zip with IDM 8. If you try to connect to IDM 8 using the previous bundle from 7.1 you get a compatability error. Anyone able to give help on this?

I have setup a remote project using the other setting of configuring the repository yourself. I couldn't use the remote method as it requires this file from your localhost file store and as I am using a different machine to run netbeans this wouldn't work. The other method allows you to put in connection information.
I am not sure of the point of the remote method as it doesn't allow what the name suggests.

  • Netbeans not working with Oracle Waveset 8.1.1!!!!

We have recently done a test upgrade to Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 and discovered that we can no longer use Netbeans to do further development. We are trying to use Netbeans 6.8 with the 8.1 connector downloaded from the open source java website, which is the last official one available.
When creating a new IDM project you receive an error saying:
"The version of the server you are attempting to connect to, 8.1.1,does not match that of the IDE Compatability Bundle for your project,8.1".
We contacted Oracle and they have advised that we cannot upgrade to 8.1.1, as there is no supported connector. We are getting further advice on this as this is quite bad if its true.
Is anyone else using Netbeans 6.8 with Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 successfully and if so can you advise how you went about configuring it?

    Update:
We upgraded our production environment with patch 14 this last Thursday.
The "sample/ide-bundle.zip" is not located in the download but instead was updated during the patching process and may be found at $WSHOME/sample/ide-bundle.zip.
After moving the zip to my local machine I was able to configure a (remote) IDM project in Netbeans without receiving an error.
    My problem has been resolved.

    Cause is null

Surprising. Your hardware should run Scene Builder without any trouble.
    With Java 7 U5 I run SceneBuilder 1.0 b44 on Win XP 32-bit and 1 G of RAM, with -Xmx1024m.
Aren't you facing an issue with Java ? do you run successfully other Java applications of a comparable size ?
You may also download the Scene Builder samples: according you've Ant and FX handy you can run them command line.
For what is about removing or modifying the -Xmx option the answer is no, this can't be done in this release.

    Ohh thanks guys!
It worked as a charm, and thanks Brisbin33 for the autostart.sh tip.
So the thing that caused my whole system not to work as it should was that I forgot to put a "&" after conky?
haha that´s kinda anoying I have been sitting and looking through like a milllion files looking for the answer
    But again, really thanks!
    /Neuwerld
that little "&" sends the conky process to the background freeing up the current process (your autostart.sh script) to finish doing what it's doing so you can move on to running openbox itself.  with this in mind, it should be obvious why keeping conky in the foreground would cause problems.
also, replacing it with (sleep 1 && conky) & means... wait a second, when that's done successfully (&&) run conky, and put all of that () to the background.  that way openbox comes up immediatly and only a second later you've got your panel and monitor.
all this after .xinitrc and before openbox

  • Executable build failing with no error message with smtp email VIs

I have a VI which I want to build into a .exe which will be used as an HMI for a real-time system. I am using the SMTP VIs to text/email me various notifications about the system state. The main VI works fine if run but will not build into an .exe. The error message comes back blank so no help there (LabView 2010). If I just simply disable the portion of the code in the HMI.VI which contains the email VI code, the application builds. I searched for anwers and was unable to resolve the problem. Any ideas? Do I need to include anything in the build that is specific to the LabView SMTP VIs? I'm new to building .exe's so I appologize for any rookie mistakes I may have made.
    Thanks.

    mikeporter wrote:
You said you searched for answers (on the forum?).
    Yes.
    What did you find?
I found a bunch of topics on email send errors after the application was built but nothing related to .exe building failures (related to the SMTP/email VIs). I also found topics dicussing the bug that fails to report an (any) error during the .exe build (for 2011). The solution was to install the service pack. if that's my problem then I will have to go through the motions to get that done (corporate computers / lack of persmissons and such).
What have you tried? This question has been answered many, many, many times.
I tried what I stated in the OP. If I disable the portion of the code which contains the email SMTP VIs, the application builds, otherwise, the build fails and no error code or description is given.
PS: probably has nothing to do with the SMTP drivers, per se.
If the answer has been given many, many times, then I appologize for not being able to find it before posting. Trust me, the last thing I want to is waste my time fishing for answers on the forum, especially when I get a response from forum members who would rather point out that my mis-identified problem has been answered many, many times, rather then just helping me out.

  • Performance issues with the Vouchers index build in SES

    Hi All,
We are currently performing an upgrade for: PS FSCM 9.1 to PS FSCM 9.2.
As a part of the upgrade, Client wants Oracle SES to be deployed for some modules including, Purchasing, Payables (Vouchers)
We are facing severe performance issues with the Vouchers index build. (Volume of data = approx. 8.5 million rows of data)
The index creation process runs for over 5 days.
Can you please share any information or issues that you may have faced on your project and how they were addressed?

Check the following logs for errors:
    1.  The message log from the process scheduler
    2.  search_server1-diagnostic.log  in /search_server1/logs directory
If the build is getting stuck while crawling then we typically have to increase the Java Heap size for the Weblogic instance for SES>

    HI SDN,
I am now working on connecting HCM (source system) with IDM by referring the document u201C [IDM for SAP System Landscape u2013 Configuration Guide|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706065c4-3564-2a10-2382-a52fcbd7eefb]u201D .
In that I am following the HCM Use case implementation. I configured all the steps up to Exporting the HR data to Staging Area (Identity Store) via VDS by using a SQL query. If I say all the steps I followed it will take more time. so I request you to go through the mentioned document. While executing the report (RPLDAP_EXTRACT)  getting some Runtime error. I have that particular function module in my system and my RFC test connection is also success. so i am very much confused why i am getting that error?
can anbody help me in fixing this error?

Troy, did you ever figure out why you were getting the cannot modify object class error?
I was able to get around it by fiddling with the IDS config, but comparing that modified config against a new one (that gets the cannot modify object class error) I can't see any relevant difference...
I'd appreciate some guidance if you have overcome this.
    Thanks. Des.

    Hi All -

It was not able to find the WsnInitialContextfactory.class earlier. But then I explicitily added some of the jars (naming.jar, jcl.jar, bootstrap.jar etc) from %WAS_HOME%\lib to the CLASSPATH. It is executing now., but still looking for some more jars.
Has anyone done this before. if yes, can you please list the name of jars that need to be in classpath ?

    Hi,
In order to do this , all you need is a http server. Once you have installed the database, wether it is 10g or 9i, You can go to the configuration page and create a DAD( database access descriptor) which will point to the database. Next in order to access the pages created in oracle , your URL will be
    http://yourhttpserver/dad/procedurename.
where dad is the name of the DAD you just created and procedure name is the pl/sql procedure which will have embedded html statements which uses the HTP package.
