I have two email accounts on my MacBook Pro and iPhone that I have been using for a few years. My phone works perfectly for both accounts. Now one of my email accounts on the MacBook says the outgoing server is Offline? How can I fix that so that both accounts send and receive email. My iPhone 4s will not connect with my home WiFi network. I have ios6 on my iPhone. The connection was working perfectly before I updated my IMac and my MacBook Pro to ios 10.8.2. I have had ios6 since I purchased the phone a couple of months ago. It searches for a network and finds them, but when it asks for my password, it will not accept the password. Have never had this happen before.

Unable to download Windows Support for macbook pro osx 10.7
I am having problems downloading the windows support and I have read a lot of suggestions. Can I hear your thought about these.
1. BootCampESD.pkg (yambam)
2. drivers at bootcamp.dmg (kisnord)That is quite strange, I did have a similar issue with Western Digital 1.5TB External HDD a while ago. It worked on other computers just fine but not on my Mac, one day it just stopped working all together.
I am not saying that its an issue with the pen drive though. Could be either or.
The only thing that I can think of trying is to start up in Safe Mode and see if it works. If not then you can at least rule out any applications causing problems.
Let me know how you go. I will have a bit of a look in to this for you as well... I'm curious... And a little confused myself -

Go to a Office type store or online and buy a copy of Windows 7 Home Basic, Home or Pro (whatever) and stick the 64bit DVD into the computer.
You'll have to first learn about Bootcamp if your going to want to dual boot, it's complex and a hassle, but gives full hardware performance.

Another way is to first install VMFusion, Parallels or VirtualBox and then install Windows into that, Windows runs like a file in a window on OS X. You can run Windows programs in that, but it's not as powerful as BootCamp method, but more convenient for most normal (non-hardware taxing) programs. -

I'm confused because on iPod i can buy an app once and have it on two/ three other ipod... AND i only have to buy it once.

Consider checking with the University's IT Department or Bookstore to see if they have a relation with some of the retailers of academic version software such as OntheHub. These retailers offer discounts on purchase or rental of many types of software such as the SPSS GradPack. See the links to Student versions on that web page.

After downloading Maverick on the MacBook Pro that I bought in 2011, I am unable to open iPhoto. The message says "You can't use this version of the application "iPhoto" with this version of OS X. You have "iPhoto" 9.2.3" What??? That is ridiculous. Why doesn't Maverick download everything? I've tried the "fixes" I found on this forum, but none of them work for me, because there is no workaround via the library. I can't access the library.
I have an old iPhoto version and it still works with Mavericks, the version before yours, that is puzzling.

Are yoy sure that Apeture is not in the Applications folder of the new system? If it is move it to the trash and the App Store will let you download Aperture from it.
You will need to make sure you use the same Apple ID you used to purchase it in the past.

Actually you need to quit Safari which is different from closing. With Safari open go the menu bar for Safari/Quit Safari.
