NetIOPermission.check failure accessing Forms
I am running Developer Server 6.0 on a Solaris 7 machine with
a 8.0.5 Oracle.
I have installed all the Developer patches for Solaris and have
done all the unzipping of classes.zip in the forms60/java
directory as mentioned in the previous threads.
I am running IE 5.0 from a Windows 98 machine attempting to read
a demo fmx file. I get the splash screen and then I get a failure
on check caused by
oracle/forms/handler/FormCanvas.doAddImageEntry. I suspect this
is some IE 5.0 configuration issue instead of a Developer Server
problem.
Using Netscape 4.61, I get the AppletViewer error with no splash
screen.
Has anyone seen the NetIOPermission.check failure problem, and
what is the fix?

You can POST them to the database.
If they don't exist, there is no problem and you can commit else you do a rollback by using CLEAR_FORM

Scenario :
I want to apply few checks on appraisal forms.
I have 3 sections in my appraisal form and each section has its own effort assigned percentage. Now i want to apply check on all three section effort assigned sum must be equal to 100.
For example: section A, B, C. 50 + 30 + 20 = 100
If employee rate himself greater then 100 then system must stop him and show him message "Sum must be equal to 100".
Questions:
1.: I done it through implicit enhancement and it is working fine when i run appraisal with in ECC system. But when i run appraisal from ESS/MSS then it does't trigger it. what will be the issue??
2: I activated external breakpoint for above enhancement but it does't stop it while i am running from ESS/MSS. How we can apply breakpoint on ESS / MSS??
3: I activated few badi's like HRHAP00_DOC_BC, HRPDV00APPRAISAL0003 and HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS. added filter in it and configured it through OOHAP_BASIC and PHAP_CATALOG_PA. But it does't trigger on both ECC and ESS/MSS.
I am stuck need your quick response will be appreciated.Hi Qayyum
I faced a similar situation. I couldn't solve it through a badi hence i enhanced my webdynpro component.
I enhanced on the functionality when user clicks on radio buttons to send (on the left side in the template ) then system throws an error.
I don't have system access right now, you can right click on the appraisal template -> technical help and get the wda component name.
Put the debugger in se80 and check.
hope this helps

Credit Check Failure not working as expected -- 11.5.10.2
Hi,
We have setup Credit Check calculation at Sales Order Header level.
This is working as expected when the Sales order is Booked, Credit Check Failure hold is applied when its eligible.
But if one the of lines belonging to a separate Ship set of Sales order is Shipped and Closed and other line is open.
Any changes on the Lines that are Open is not placing the hold in the Sales Order.
We need Credit Check Validation to happen any changes in the Price or Quantity of any SO line even if other lines are Shipped/Closed and the hold needs to be placed at Sales Order header.
Any suggestions to change the setup or any other workaround on this would be appreciated?
Thanks,
Praveen1) Check the $IAS_ORACLE_HOME/Apache/JServ/etc/logs/jvm
has servral logs for OACoreGroup Servlets that are initialied
2) You might have to enable the debug option in jserv.properties and jserv.conf
(find IsItWorking.java in Metalink for the appropriate note )
3) If this is 403 forbidden then check trusted.conf alongside httpd.conf
pls keep posted about how this issue got resolved.

JSP not responding after installing 11.5.10.2 on IBM
HACMP
i have finished installing Oracle applications
11.5.10.2 on IBM clusters (HACMP version 5.1)its a
multinode setup with mutual failover. other
applications are working fine. the installation went
well. but the final part on the middle tier , during
the post install checks it says JSP not responding. I
checked the apache error-log and saw the follwoing
entry
[Sun Apr 23 21:04:21 2006] [error] [client
172.29.200.74] client denied by server configuration:
/appl/oracle/devcomn/portal/
DEV_erpappssrv/oprocmgr-service
>
that bafles me because that ip address was not used
in the installation. its the persistent ip address of
the HACMP. the service ip that was used in the
configuration file was 172.29.200.75
however there is no mention of this in the error
log.i also edited the oprocmgr.conf in the
Apache/conf directory after which i dont get the
error however the servlets pages then hangs and
returns page cannot be displayed error on internet
explorer. no error is registered on the error log.
the jdk am using is 1.4.2 which is the recommended
one.
what this means is that i cannot access the self
service pages and as you know you need self service
pages to access the application in 11.5.10.2
i opened a TAR with oracle on 8th April 2006 and till
today i have not been able to get a solution.
I am hoping that i will get someone in this forum who
has met a similar problem or who has an insight into
how we can solve this problem already am weeks past
the target go live!!!
Please Kindly help

Any standard function which is not allow to access form base on responsibil
Dear all,
My team member added one menu button which calls another form in the "Action" menu. However, one responsibility can access this form and others are not and return the following message.
"Function not available to this responsibility. Change responsibility or contact your System Administrator".
I have checked the profile option and they are the same for these 2 responsibilities. Also, I check the customization form, no coding to guard this.
Any ideas?
Best Regards,
amyHi, this question is for Oracle Apps forum...

1. Does one or both apps use SSO?
2. Does one or both apps use SSL?
3. Are both apps being called from the same browser session? Remember that just because you may have two browser windows open does NOT mean they are running as separate sessions. If you started the second browser using java script, CTRL+N, or a URL shortcut, then they are likely same session.
This error suggest that there is a critical tcp/ip failure:
oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: 500+
If the browser to run Forms and PS is the same session, there is likely a session ID conflict. Try opening one browser using the shortcut created for the browser (usually found on the desktop). Do not use a shortcut which contains an embedded URL. Open one of the apps. Then, do the same again to start the second app. If possible, run one app from IE and the other from Firefox (or other browser). -
Yoga 2 Kernel Security Check Failure
I have this Yoga 2 13' for almost two months. A few days after my purchase, the computer suddenly gave a blue screen and restarted. Then this BSODs became more frequent. The strange thing is that, I was in France for almost a month, and no BSODs happened. Now that I am in Turkey for a few days, the PC started to give out kernel security check failures.
Any suggestions for the resolution of the problem. Cause it's quite annoying to wait for the PC to crush before doing anything?

How to find users machine / IP who is accessing forms through Oracle AS
Dear Gurus
We need to know the users machine / IP who are accessing forms through Oracle 9i Application Server, how can we find that?
thanks in advance
regards
MehmoodMehmood,
Set serverURL=/forms90/f90servlet/session in the Forms Web configuration default section or add it to the URL to start tracing host name and ip-addresses from clients. The output appears in the servlet log file application.log. sessionperf , perf and debug are the other options instead of session.

How can LabVIEW press a command button in access form?
Situation: access database with a command button, who generate a code after pushing
Task: LabVIEW open the access database, pressed the command button and read out the code
Status:
use activeX to open the access database - ready
press the command button - open
read out the code - open
Problem: Is there a possibility that LabVIEW press automatically the command button in the access form?
Solved!
Go to Solution.First off, you are confusing your terms. Access is not a database. It's an development environment for creating applications that use databases. By default, Access uses a DBMS called Jet that is built into Windows, but it can use others like SQL Server or even Oracle.
Second, in terms of pushing the button, that is totally dependent upon what functionality Access' ActiveX interface chooses to expose to external applications.
Third, what does the button actually do? The statement, "..generate a code.." is meaningless. Does it perform a query? Does it generate a report? Does it modify records?

How to implement the spell check in oracle forms 10g or 6i...
How to implement the spell check in oracle forms.
Is there any different method is there.
Please help me....
Praveen.KHere is one different from Jspell..
In 6i client/server you can call MS Word spell checker using OLE. Below sample code for 6i.
For 10g you will need webutil to use same code. install webutil and just replace "OLE2." with "CLIENT_OLE2."
PROCEDURE spell_check (item_name IN VARCHAR2)
IS
my_application ole2.obj_type;
my_documents ole2.obj_type;
my_document ole2.obj_type;
my_selection ole2.obj_type;
get_spell ole2.obj_type;
my_spell ole2.obj_type;
args ole2.list_type;
spell_checked VARCHAR2 (4000);
orig_text VARCHAR2 (4000);
BEGIN
orig_text := NAME_IN (item_name);
my_application := ole2.create_obj ('WORD.APPLICATION');
ole2.set_property (my_application, 'VISIBLE', FALSE);
my_documents := ole2.get_obj_property (my_application, 'DOCUMENTS');
my_document := ole2.invoke_obj (my_documents, 'ADD');
my_selection := ole2.get_obj_property (my_application, 'SELECTION');
ole2.set_property (my_selection, 'TEXT', orig_text);
get_spell :=ole2.get_obj_property (my_application, 'ACTIVEDOCUMENT');
ole2.invoke (get_spell, 'CHECKSPELLING');
ole2.invoke (my_selection, 'WholeStory');
ole2.invoke (my_selection, 'Copy');
spell_checked := ole2.get_char_property (my_selection, 'TEXT');
spell_checked :=SUBSTR (REPLACE (spell_checked, CHR (13), CHR (10)),1,LENGTH (spell_checked));
COPY (spell_checked, item_name);
args := ole2.create_arglist;
ole2.add_arg (args, 0);
ole2.invoke (my_document, 'CLOSE', args);
ole2.destroy_arglist (args);
ole2.RELEASE_OBJ (my_selection);
ole2.RELEASE_OBJ (get_spell);
ole2.RELEASE_OBJ (my_document);

Kernell security check failure issue
Hi.
I installed a webcam with mic integrated (external device) to my lenovo T61 computer, running 8.1 windows. When trying to use the webcam, the kernel security check failure appears, crashes my computer and restarts it. What can I do?
ThanksHi,
Any update here?
For the error message about KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, here is an MSDN article for reference:
Bug Check 0x139 KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
This bug check indicates that the kernel has detected the corruption of a critical data structure.
For information about how to recover from this error, see
Resolving Blue Screen errors in Windows.
As ZigZag and Brandon Records mentioned, we need the dump file to offer a better suggestion.
Some more reference:

BSOD - Kernel Security Check Failure
Hello,
So, I built this gaming rig around September, so this computer is still fairly new. Everything was fine until about a few weeks ago I started having BSOD -- all of them were kernel_security_check_failure. I've already done sfc /scannow on command prompt and
it shows that nothing was corrupted. Generally, the BSOD only happens when I download anything. For example, after maybe, 20 or so my computer crashes. The time does vary, but in the end, it still crashes.
My specs if needed:
AMD FX-6300
2 x 4GB 240-PIN DDR3 RAM
Radeon R9 270x 2GB 256-bit GDDR5

MS Access form bound to an Oracle OraDynaset?
Hello,
I need to write an MSAccess 2007 application as a front-end to an Oracle 11g database.
Is it possible to bind a MS Access form to an Oracle OraDynaset?

Edited by: user7047382 on Sep 22, 2010 4:46 PMHi,
Unless, you are writing dynamic queries, you might want to
define your outerj SQL in MS Access and then issue a simple
SELECT in Reports against the outerj MS Access query (to MS
Access this query is just another pseudo table).
