Netscape conversion

Hello all,
I`m searching a way to transfer my netscape configuration from windows to Solaris. On windows, I`ve standard directory ( for example: xxxxx.slt/Mail/myserver/inbox), Can I find a .slt file on solaris ?
where are netscape config files ? On Solaris, my .netscape file contains only plugins, but where are the data?
Can you help me or show me link or doc to show me a way ?

Hi You can find the mail data folders from :
Edit --> Mail and Account Settings --> Server Settings
In the server settings you can find it under Local Folder

Any Ideas?In IE, the <applet> tag doesn't work with Swing applets. To make it work, you can use code like the following. (I copied it from my english-to-metric conversions page.)
And no, I didn't write all this myself; the JDK comes with a program called HTMLConverter, which will convert the <applet> tag into code that's supposed to work on all browsers. Instructions for it are somewhere on this site.

1: My first inclination is that this is a non-issue. The vulnerability you are concerned with 'SSL Server Allows Anonymous Authentication Vulnerability port 311/tcp over SSL' is for port 311, a port that is not normally set to allow access to the internet. So any vulnerability/data leak would be from internal.
2: That port is for access from Server Admin.app. Yes, the port is held open and connectivity via any access (such as telnet localhost 311) does connect, there is no data/information leakage that I could cause. That port does not respond to standard queries such as help, info, ? et al. I would suspect it would have to be a crafted xml/soap or somesuch conversation before anything could potentially leak.
3: Assuming that access to this data needs to be the same as what happens when one uses Server Admin.app, the data probably could be considered secure as in order to view or modify any data, you must know a valid user id and password and that user must be authorized as an administrator (or monitor) account before the Server Admin.app will allow control.
If you are still concerned, you could submit this as a bug to https://bugreport.apple.com/ . Be aware you must be an ADC member to submit bugs.

Problem importing email from Netscape

I am trying to switch from Netscape 7.2 Mail to Apple's Mail version 1.3.11 (running under Mac OS X 10.3.9). When I import a mailbox I find that several messages are not being imported. In some cases only 2 or 3 messages are brought over from a total of about 40. I can copy the left-behind messages to another temporary mailbox and then import it but again some messages are left behind. It almost seems that if a message is quoted in another message then it is left behind. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

You’d get better results using Eudora Mailbox Cleaner to do the conversion, adapting the instructions for Mozilla/Thunderbird to your particular situation (the mailbox format used by Netscape and Mozilla/Thunderbird is the same).
Eudora Mailbox Cleaner requires rebuilding the imported mailboxes in Mail afterwards, but instead of rebuilding them one by one, you can re-create the entire index as follows:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong, e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down. This is where all your mail is locally stored.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see any other “Envelope Index”-named file there, delete it as well.
4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index — Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

Converting Netscape cert7.db file to PEM format

Does anyone know of a recommended way to convert a Netscape cert7.db file to PEM format so that clients can connect to the Sun Directory securely over TSL/SSL using, for example, Perl/Net::LDAPS. Net::LDAPS and other client ldap implementations often need to refer to a certificate store in PEM format.
I figured out how to do this with the old iPlanet Directory 4.16 series,
but with the new Sun 5.2 series, I'm hitting an interesting wall.
First, I install my campus CA's cert as well as the server cert (oldsage.berkeley.edu) to be used for TLS/SSL connections...

Now, the conversion to PEM is interesting.
First I have to convert the cert7.db and key3.db files to a PKCS12 format, and this is where the problem begins... (Note, I do strip out the private key(s) as well but I'm not going to document those steps here)

Notice that I have to refer to the certificate as 'server-cert' rather then
'oldsage.berkeley.edu'. This will cause problems after the next steps, where I convert the PCKS12 file to PEM format...
%/usr/local/openssl/bin/openssl pkcs12 -in /home/staff/robreid/ssl-certs/oldsage-alias/oldage.pkcs12.cert2 -out /home/staff/robreid/ssl-certs/oldsage-alias/oldsage.pem.cert

And the problem is that the certificate baggage in the PEM file is named
'server-cert' and not 'oldsage.berkeley.edu', which then causes client to encounter the 'hostname mismatch' error when attempting to verify the certificate as it tries to connect securely to the Directory.
Does anyone know where I'm going wrong and of a better technique to use?
Also, does the Sun Directory Proxy Server also use the same Netscape cert7/key3.db system for it's certificate database/store?

relevant.You have several options. The easiest way to create the certificate database if you import the certificate using a Netscape Communicator or Mozilla browser.
Alternatively, you can use certutil from NSS (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/pki/nss/tools/certutil.html)
to create an empty database:
certutil -N -d .
(this creates an empty database in the current directory)
Next, you will have to add the certificates to the database:
certutil -A -d . -n <an arbitrary name for your certificate> -t C,, -i <certificate-file>
Check the above referenced manual for the description of these options.
Also, chapter 30 of the Directory Server Resource Kit Reference (http://docs.sun.com/source/816-6400-10/pkcsutil.html) has pointers to various tools that can be useful during development.

Importing eMail from NetScape 7.2 to Mail 2.1?

I am trying to import eMail from NetScape 7.2 to Mail 2.1. Is this possible? In Mail Help it sort of implies that this may not work but it never says it won't work!

Not sure what you mean about Mail Help implying that it may not work. Netscape and SSO to partner application

Help!
I have a partner Java app using SSO with a custom login form. All is well in IE 6 but I get problems with Netscape 7.
It authenticates to the Portal OK, but not to the partner app.
The browser displays the following message:
Oracle SSO Failure - Unable to process request
Either the requested URL was not specified in terms of a fully-qualified host name or OHS single sign-on is incorrectly configured.
In the http server error log is the message:
[OSSO] W05: Requested URL is not specified in terms of fully-qualified host name or invalid SSO partner configuration. Host from request kwudeal2.nkw.ac.uk:80, registered host kwudeal2.nkw.ac.uk.
The obvious difference in the host names is the port 80, which is the correct port, but it wasn't in the URL I followed, Netscape appears to have added it.
Any ideas about what is going on and how to fix it?
Is anyone using Netscape 7 with SSO?

Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs is taking long time

Cube load is taking more than 7 hrs to complete for 6 million records. Max time is at Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs. Cube consists of 500 fields. Load is from DSO to Cube. DSO has 10 fileds with no SID flag check for activation. Remaining fields in the CUBE are pouplated looking in to other DSO's. Start and End routines are executing very fast. How to fasten Conversion of Characteristic Values to SIDs step. I need to load 15 million records daily as part of delta. any suggestions.

11i to r12 Conversion - help needed

My client is doing re-implementation of r12 and migrating from 11i to r12. I need help particularly on conversions side. The client is a SaaS company. they are considering to bring open and history transactions and applied/unapplied receipts to r12 AR.
- how to migrate revenue scheduled open/closed invoices from 11i to r12 since rev schedules for a SaaS company is expected to be long terms. and how to make sure that rev schedules are correct upon migration to r12??
- for partially paid invoices how to make sure that the same partially paid amount reflects in r12 upon conversion? can a negative line amount equalling to paid amount be a possible solution??
- upon migration do the closed invoices have to be converted as open and receipts re-applied after migration in r12 or they can be brought in as-is with status closed?
- if customer paid for an invoice using a credit card in 11i and upon migration it came to notice that the credit card is no longer used by the customer so how to re-apply the same receipt in r12 which was applied in 11i using that credit card. do we have to enable it in r12 just for closing the invoice? what could be possibilities?
please anyone if can answer would be very helpful

It depends on the dpi. Usually 72dpi = 72 pixels per inch.
1000/72 = 13,88888 inch

I thought it was doing that also. But I found that if I start a new chat with someone I was messaging before, then the old messages re-appear in the messages window.

Is there a way to selectively edit a conversation in iMessages instead of clearing the entire conversation? Like you can do on the iPhone for instance.

I need to delete myself from a Group Conversation.

My idiot friends added me to a group conversation and i cannot leave it. Each time i ask them to start a new conversation and not include me they refuse. My phone has been ringing non stop for 3 days now and i need to find a way to get out of this conversation so that i can go to class, do my homework and sleep at night!!! I can turn my phone onto Airplane mode but when it is in this mode I cant receive the important phone calls and text messages that i need to answer.
Somebody please help me.
If there is no way to leave this conversation somebody please tell me where i can find a virus that will shut down their phones.

In Thunderbird while trying to move conversation results to an archive folder; if some of the results are already in the folder it will not move any.

Hi. I often use the conversation search option when archiving my emails from inbox. I find this a very useful method of finding trails where I and multiple people have responded to each other. However If I have already moved one or more of these emails into the archive folder and select all to move, Thunderbird will not move any. I then need to individually select those that need to be moved.
Although not a major issue I use this regularly and often come across the problem. a recent fix which allows location tab to remain on in search helps but does not resolve this issue. A slightly annoying problem and I was wondering if any one else has this issue. Also is anyone looking into a solution?

FCPx answer: At least the answer that worked for me...
I had the same problem, as I believe many others had.
In my case the problem was with one of OSX Mavericks' new features: APP NAP.
It looks like this is ON by DEFAULT for ALL Applications and that FCPx, or Compressor for that matter, will not work if this is enabled on them.
I just disabled App Napp on FCPx and now it works, again, like a charm.

There is an interface for mass replication of mapping data. The steps you need to carry out to use this are:

To implement a value-mapping replication scenario, proceed as follows:
       1.      Register the Java (inbound) proxies.

For example, you can use the shipped ABAP proxies.
In the case of the receiver communication channel, choose the adapter type XI. Ensure that you configure a channel for the Java proxy receiver in this case.
Enter the path prefix /MessagingSystem/receive/JPR/XI for this purpose.

In Pages 5, Maverick, How do I stop automatic conversation of URLs to hyperlinks and seeing them underlined

There used to be a preference setting in Pages. Now it seems gone in Pages 5. So how do I stop automatic conversation of URLs to hyperlinks and seeing them underlined in text. Sometimes I want it, but not always.

The preference setting to turn off links is gone. When you enter content that triggers link detection, a link character style gets applied. Right-click on the link, choose Edit Link from the menu, and then Remove.
To prevent Pages from automatically detecting links, visit Edit > Substitutions > and deselect Smart Links.
