NetStream.publish for P2P NetGroup fails in the FMS 4.0 AS

Hi,
I recently tried to modify the system-provided codes in the "multicast" folder, and could not get it work. I pinned down the issue to be the function call NetStream.publish("p2p_pindao1", "live") always failed for me. The proof the function call failed including:
1. The returned value is false.
2. I got no further events beyond NetStream.Connect.Success, i.e. I did not get the expected NetStream.Publish.Start
The following are the testing codes
application.onAppStart = function()
var nc = new NetConnection();
nc.onStatus = testNetStatus;
nc.connect("rtmfp://localhost/TVLive");
trace("to connect");
function testNetStatus(info)
trace("TestNetStatus:" + info.code);
var gs = new GroupSpecifier("net.lysk.pindao1");
gs.serverChannelEnabled = true;
gs.postingEnabled = true;
gs.peerToPeerDisabled = false;
// Multicast address over which to exchange peer discovery.
//var p2pm = "224.0.0.255:30000"; // BUGBUG
// Must be enabled for LAN peer discovery to work
//gs.ipMulticastMemberUpdatesEnabled = true;
var ng = new NetGroup(this, gs);
ng.objNc = this;
ng.objGs = gs;
ng.onStatus = testNetGroupStatus;
function testNetGroupStatus(info)
trace("testNetGroupStatus:" + info.code);
var ns = new NetStream(this.objNc, this.objGs);
ns.onStatus = testNetStreamStatus;
function testNetStreamStatus(info)
trace("testNetStreamStatus:" + info.code);
if (info.code == "NetStream.Connect.Success")
  if(!this.attach(Stream.get("mp4:sample1_1000kbps.f4v")))
   trace("can not attach");
  if (!this.publish("testpublish", "live"))
   trace ("can not publish");
tracing outputs are the following:
to connect
TestNetStatus:NetConnection.Connect.Success
testNetGroupStatus:NetGroup.Connect.Success
testNetStreamStatus:NetStream.Connect.Success
can not publish
Your help in solving the problem will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

em, it appears I was wrong in believing peerToPeerDisabled=true sufficed for P2P publishing, while multicastEnabled was for IP multicast. I will try out the answer. Thanks for the help.

    Hello b.krushel,
    Thank you for using Apple Support Communities
    Any number of things could cause this issue, so I would recommend this article named iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar found here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3999.
    These sections in particular:
    General Troubleshooting
    Make sure there are no current issues listed on the System Status that affect iCloud Calendar. The System Status is located on the iCloud Support webpage.
    Make sure you have fully enabled iCloud Calendar for the client you are using (for more setup and troubleshooting information on iOS, OS X, Windows and iCloud.com, see the additional details below).
    Check to see if the issue you are seeing is covered in iCloud Help. To search iCloud Help, visit help.apple.com/icloud.
    Check your settings and preferences as something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues which are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion (iCal on OS X Lion)Note: For instructions on setting up iCloud Calendar with Calendar or iCal on your Mac, see iCloud Setup.If you are having trouble with Calendar or iCal on a Mac and you are using iCloud Calendar, try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
    Make sure you are using OS X Lion v10.7.2 or later. Click here for help verifying the version of OS X you are using.
    Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com and iCloud.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in iCal. Click here for more information about troubleshooting your Internet connection.
    Verify that your iCloud member name is entered into the iCloud Preference pane in System Preferences. See iCloud Setup for more information about setting up iCloud on a Mac.
    Make sure you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list will be pushed to iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for the Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, for example, iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, Google, and so on. This makes it easy to create or modify events or calendars in a section of  Calendar or iCal that may not be updating iCloud. Learn more about moving local calendars to iCloud.
    In some cases, you may find that you have data duplicated in both the local On My Mac and the iCloud sections of Calendar or iCal. Learn more about resolving this issue.
    You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar on OS X Mountain Lion, choose Calendar > Preferences > General, or in OS X Lion, choose iCal > Preferences > Generaland under the Default Calendar heading, select one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save this change.
    If recent changes simply don't appear, try forcing Calendar or iCal to refresh by selecting Refresh All from theCalendar menu.
    Make sure your account was successfully created in Calendar on your Mac (or iCal). After upgrading to iCloud Calendar, you may need to quit and reopen Calendar (or iCal). To confirm your account is configured correctly in iCal:
    Open Calendar (or iCal).
    Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
    Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name entered.
    Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
    Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences > iCloud.
    Remove the checkmark in the checkbox next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
    Open System Preferences and choose iCloud.
    Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    Close System Preferences.
    Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue has been resolved.
    Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it does reinitialize your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
    Take care,
    Sterling

    The server responded with an error. The request for account "Yahoo" failed. The server responded with "502" to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation

    I am tired of how Yahoo has gotten worse and worse. It is the ONLY account I get problems with DAILY (even after removing and re-adding). AOL will act up once in a while not taking a saved password but accepting it when OK is clicked.... But Yahoo is always responding with such errors.... Today's calendar error is:
    The request (CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation) for account “Yahoo” failed.

  • The request for account "iCloud" failed.  The server responded with "400" to operation CalDAVAddSubscriptionCalendarQueueableOperation

    Does anyone know how to fix this problem?  Or even what the problem is?  I am trying to subscribe to a calendar and every time I do, it gives me this response:
    The request for account “iCloud” failed.
    The server responded with
    “400”
    to operation CalDAVAddSubscriptionCalendarQueueableOperation
    Any help would be fantastic.  This is a course calendar, and I really need it.
    Thank you!

    Keep away from iCloud and keep away from iCal. This is the most reliable solution to these 403 issues.
    The Mac cannot upload calendars and keeps popping up error messages with an insane frequency.

    Try this first:

  • Hi Has anyone had this error message from iCal?  The request for account "Work" failed.  The server responded with "502" to operation CalDAVAccountRefreshQueueableOperation.

    What I found works best is to do the following:
    Quit iCal on you
    Go to iCloud.com and sign-in
    Create an event on the calendar
    Sign-out of iCloud.com
    Relaunch iCal
    It will take a few seconds for the calender to resync, but you should see the new event pop up on the calender. After that, hopefully all is well.

    Tried copying the URL link provided for the Calendar into a MailChimp announcement.  Not working.
    I've tried the uncheck calendar method on iCLOUD and re-checking to stop the pop-up message.
    Is this perhaps because they don't have an iCLOUD account? If they have iTUNES, shouldn't it work?
    Appreciate any help.

    There are browser settings that control whether you allow getting data from other sources (than where the current page is loaded). In preview you are loading the PDF in an browser ActiveX control so that is why this is coming up. You may also have to add the other server name to your trusted site list in the browser.

    can anyone help??

    Here is a blog entry that discusses how to deal with getting specific records etc....
    http://forms.stefcameron.com/2006/09/29/selecting-specific-database-records/
    Note at the bottom of the blog he mentions new security rules in version 8. Make sure you follow that link and look at the section on cloning ....you will need to do that in your script.
    Once you are on that blog you can search for your "Environment not Trusted" error. There were a couple of hits in the Q/A sections at the bottom of the blog. There is no definitive answer but there was a couple of suggestion there.
    Also if you go a google serach on "Environment not Trusted" there are numerous hits on different discussion forums. You may get your answer from one of those. If you  find the answer can you post it back here please?

  • What is " The Request for account "iCloud" failed. The server responded with "400" to operation CalDAVUpdateShareesQueuableOperation

    My wife and I have synced calendars that have stopped working.  She gets my updates but I dont get hers, when we try to sync on her laptop we get this message.

    Hello Kirkdasilva,
    It sounds like one of your computers is not syncing correctly to a shared iCloud calendar. I recommend the troublehsooting from the article named:
    iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Calendar
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3999
    Try each of these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved:
    Make sure that you are using OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later. Learn how to verify the version of OS X you are using.
    Make sure your computer is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in Calendar or iCal. Learn how to troubleshoot your Internet connection.
    Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Calendar requires port 443 access to iCloud in order to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
    Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then click the icon for iCloud. Make sure that you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
    Make sure that you enter and update calendar information in the iCloud section of Calendar or iCal. Only calendars and events in the iCloud section of the Calendar or iCal Calendar list are updated in iCloud. Both Calendar and iCal for Mac support the display of and interaction with multiple accounts and datastores, such as iCloud, On My Mac, Exchange, and Google. You can make the iCloud calendar your default calendar for all new events. In Calendar, choose Calendar > Preferences, then click General. In iCal, choose iCal > Preferences, then click General. Locate the Default Calendar setting and choose one of the Calendars under the iCloud heading. Close the Preferences window to save the change.
    Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    Quit Calendar (or iCal).
    Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
    Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
    Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
    Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
    Replace the checkmark next to Calendars (or Calendars & Reminders in Mountain Lion and Lion).
    Close System Preferences.
    Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.
    Restart your computer. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.

  • Automatic certificate enrollment for local system failed (0x800706ba) The RPC server is unavailable.

    I have a lot of background on this question so bear with me please. :)
    I am tasked with getting our domain from 2003 to 2008 level. In order to do that I brought up a 2008 R2 server into the domain and did dcpromo to get it to "play" with the two other 2003 DCs. All is working pretty well except that I'm getting the auto-enrollment
    error above not because of a configuration error but because before I even came to work here the Root CA machine was taken out of service and disposed of! So the unable to contact is a true error. The machine no longer exists! I'm sure I'll have to re-setup
    a Root CA but wanted some guidance on the path to take on getting from where I am (broke!) to back to healthy!
    thanks in advance,
    Leo

    Hi Vadims,
    I do have exactly the same problem as described above. The Root CA no longer exist and the certificates are about to expire, however I have checked the expiration date of the certificate using certmgr in the AD servers (Three server cluster) and I have found
    different expiring dates for the same certificate as described bellow.
    Trusted Root Certification Authorities > CONTOSO-CA (exp 17/05/2018)
    Intermediate Certification Authorities > CONTOSO-CA (exp 17/05/2018)
    Active directory User Object > CONTOSO-CA (exp 17/05/2014)
    We currently have an AD cluster conformed by three Windows server 2008 and no currently Certificate Authority role installed on any of them.
    I also have seen using certmgr that all machines in the company have the certificate CONTOSO-CA in the following way:
    Trusted Root Certification Authorities > CONTOSO-CA (exp 17/05/2018)
    Intermediate Certification Authorities > CONTOSO-CA (exp 17/05/2018)
    Active directory User Object > Not present
    My question is, can I safely decommission the certificate following the procedure stated above (step 6)? what will be the impact of this certificate (Active directory user object) expiring?
    Thanks in advance
    Cesar
