Where can I find list of new ABAP keywords for ECC6 with examples

Try documentation in ABAP workbench. It lists all the keywords with examples in most cases. ABAP delta documentation may also have lot of details.

How 'bout if SAP mentors "vet" SAP's choices for new ABAP keywords?

What's prompting this post is the keyword "enhancement spot".
Really bothers me, unless one thinks of a "spot" as a "gathering-place", as in the English usage "night-spot" for a club or "hot-spot" for a place where a dog's skin allergies flare-up.
I mean - the only "spot" that an "enhancement spot" defines is a node in a navigation tree underneath a package in SE80. It's a bureaucratic notion, not a functional notion. There are no actual "spots" outside of the navigation trees under SE80 packages ... the "spots" in the code are "points".
So in my opinion (which as you all know is ALWAYS a "humble" opinion (heh heh heh)), maybe "enhancement node" would have better reflected the true purpose of the construct.
And even if you don't agree with me in this particular case, I'm sure you can think of other cases where similar semantic problems arise.
So - it strikes me that it would be easy for ABAP product mgrs to pass new nomenclature past the SDN mentors, to see if an SAP first-draft choice is raising too much semantic noise.

ABAP Programming Guidelines not showing in ABAP Keyword Documentation

We are currently in the process of upgrading to Netweaver 7.0 EhP2
I have seen mentioned that the ABAP Keyword Documentation and ABAP Examples are now all provided in an improved ABAPDOCU transaction. In addition, the ABAPDOCU transaction is meant to also have a section on ABAP Programming Guidelines.
I have seen a screen example of what the ABAPDOCU screen now looks like (as shown in the mockup below). Our ABAPDOCU screen looks very similar except that there is no node for ABAP Programming Guidelines.
That is an area that I would like to have a closer look at. Have we missed something. Is this available as part of the standard 7.0 EhP2 install or does it need to be installed separately (or perhaps is this only available in a higher EhP). I've tried finding further information on this option but have not been able to come across anything. Does anyone know what would be involved (or if it is possible) to make this available in EhP2

For example, [Data Consistency|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/41/7af4b6a79e11d1950f0000e82de14a/frameset.htm] mentions a menu in the ABAP Editor, and [New Features in Web Dynpro ABAP for Enhancement Package 2 (EhP2)|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp2/helpdata/en/54/07ec96bd5a4764be4996fff231b4de/frameset.htm] mentions the ABAPHELP transaction.
I suppose you could try to find if the documentation you need is installed on your system. Perhaps the [how do I Install SAP Document CD and SAP Library|how do I Install SAP Document CD and SAP Library; thread might be of help.

Create New ABAP WebDynpro

Hi
I have completed a working approval process in ECC6 for trip expenses. This will be eventually used via ESS in the portal. (EP7).
As part of the process in ECC6 I have a couple of new Dialog screens that allows the user to choose an approver.
My question is, how do I (and what do I use) to convert these new ABAP screens into components of (would they be components, not sure of terminolgy) ABAP WebDynPro, so that they can be seen and used from within the portal.

Unsolved ABAP keyword documentation failure

Hi everybody,
I already posted this in the other "ABAP keyword documentation" threads, but because those are solved I think nobody sees that there´s still a problem (unfortunately all those solutions didn´t work for me or I should say that "my" problem didn´t appear yet, so I thought it might be a good idea to create a new thread so people can help me). For inconvenience I´m sorry.
Here is my problem:
We have two sap servers here, MCC and MQA. If I log into MCC, open SE80, mark a word (for example WRITE) and press F1, I get the pop up with title "ABAP key word documentation". I doubleclick on WRITE and another pop up (session) appears. Everything works wonderful.
Now I repeat this on server MQA. I mark a word (also WRITE, FYI: it doesn´t work on IF or ELSE), press F1 and a pop up appears (title is also "ABAP key word documentation"). I doubeclick WRITE and the pop up closes and nothing happens.
Please help me. I absolutely don´t know how to solve this problem. Both systems are on the same level in Support Package level, Kernel level etc.

To be more specific:
I was missing an entry in SR13 -> PlainHtmlFile.
Well, I took the Documentation DVD and installed it.
Still the same problem, BUT if I call transaction ABAPHELP, leave the popup for the keyword blank and confirm, the ABAP reference opens. I click on ABAP-Index and search for WRITE (just an example). If I click it I get the same information like I normally would by selecting WRITE in SE80 and pressing F1.
So, in short: The system has the information it needs (ABAP-Index), but it can´t be opened via F1 in SE80.
I think / hope that there´s is only one little thing left I have to do / configure.
Any ideas / suggestions?

Problem to use new abap editor and new abap debug.

HI experts.
currently using 640(patch 19) and GUI 640(patch 23).
but when I activate new abap editor in se80 server dumps error
' Runtime Errors MESSAGE_TYPE_X
The current application program detected a situation which really
should not occur. Therefore, a termination with a short dump was
triggered on purpose by the key word MESSAGE (type X).'
and new debug does not activating even though I switch to new debug.
it works well both new editor and debug if I turn on new options when I connect ECC6.0 with same GUI
guess 640 server has not propery installed new editor and debug or something has to be checked.
can anyone help me to activating these new functions?

Creation of New Abap User

Hi experts,
Our client has purchased only one developer key license . We have already Developer users in dev and qty . My Question is Can i create new Abap developer user in dev & qty as license is only for production system ? or can i delete the old users in dev & qty and Generate a new developer key for my new users.

Hi,
SAP provides license based on users only for the users in Production system.
You can create any number of users in DEV & QUA...
But make sure you abide with the user license agreement in the production system.

Saving bookmarks in the new ABAP editor?

Hi experts,
either I'm stupid or something but I don't see how I can save my code boomarks for future usage. I mean the bookmarks which can be created by CTRL + ALT + number and navigation to them by CTRL + number.
The similar problem I have with saving my break-points set in the new ABAP editor.
Could you please give me a tip how I can save it I'm using SAP GUI 710 patch level 4.

Where are the buttons gone of File upload and Download in New ABAP Editor in ECC 6.0.
Or some new utility added for this feature.

Create new abap program

my usual practice in creating new abap program is in se80 then type the desired program name then the sap will display that the program name is not existing and will ask if i want to create it.
however in my new company when i do the above step it just display that the program is not existing and no question if i will create this. in line with this i would like to ask how would i create new abap program?

Hi Donna,
Do you have the relevant authorisations? Maybe you donot have authorisation to create new objects? Check your profiles via SU01. Personally I always ask for SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW in the Development system.

Freezing of new ABAP-Debugger

Hi,
every time when I try to use the new ABAP-Debugger I can just see the screen and then it freezes. I use SAP Web AS 6.4. SAP_BASIS SP17 and SAP_ABA SP17.

try to change the debugging mode to classical instead of new debugger.
here is the way you can change your DEBUGGER Settings :
in SE38 Menu->
utilities->settings
you wil see a screen.in that select ABAP EDITOR tab & in that select "DEBUGGING" Tab,
there change the debugger from the new to classic.
then ok

Perhaps I am misremembering but I've read that the first version that the new ABAP Debugger is contained is 6.30.
