New Computer - Download TV Shows Paid

I just got a new computer and when I log into my iTunes account my purchases are not all downloaded. None of my tv shows have appeared. They show up in the category and have an exclamation mark next to them for me to find the file. How do I download these from iTunes after I've paid for them?

If you still have the old computer, click here and follow the instructions. If not, use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the songs and other content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts and album artwork.

When I attached my USB flashdrive to my new Mac Air no icon appears and the same when I attached my new superdrive.  I just finished downloading pictures off of my old Mac and that one worked as expected. The new computer doesn't show anything but when I pull the USB flashdrive out, a message prompts me with an improper eject notice. Any ideas on why no icon (a disc) appears and how can I get it to?

Open Finder preferences, click on the General icon in the toolbar. Check the boxes for what you want displayed on the Desktop. Click on the Sidebar icon in the toolbar and do the same for what you want displayed in the sidebar.

  • I have a new computer, downloaded itunes, how do I get my old library back?

I have a new computer, downloaded itunes.  How do I get my old library back so I can sync w/ipod nano?

Do you still have the old PC around? If so, you might be able to still copy the iTunes library from that PC over to the one.
Or is the music still on your Nano?  If so, see this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your new PC and into iTunes.

Otherwise, you can redownload most iTunes purchases again at no cost using iCloud.  If the music and content was imported from outside of iTunes you'll need to either re-rip the tracks into iTunes or redownload them using whatever utility or store you originally purchased them from.

  • TS2972 my new computer does not show shared from my old computer. how long does this take??

My new computer does not show share from my old computer how long does this take?

I'm having the same problem. I have my main Library on a WXP machine and a new W7 laptop. My iphone 4 sees the library from the W7 machine, but neither the laptop nor the iphone see the big library on the WXP machine. I have configured firewall settings, tried the network wired and wireless, using same apple id on all devices, restarted itunes on all computers, turned sharing off and on on all computers. Nothing works.

  • New computer, download premiere and there is no playback after importing files.  Any ideas what's happening?

New computer, download premiere and there is no playback after importing files.  Any ideas what's happening?

'JohnTSmith' Thanks for the links.  I'll be sure to add more details for future requests!
The computer is an iMac late 2013
Processor  3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1024 MB
The video file was a .mov file from a Canon 7D.  Essentially I downloaded Adobe Premiere CC 2014, downloaded the update because I tried to open up an older project and then imported one movie file.
Playback from all windows didn't work.  But after I tried to change settings in the preferences as 'RoninEdits' suggested but I ended up just searching around and didn't change anything.  I stepped away for a second to check on my cookies in the oven and when I came back press play and the video now works.  Any idea what happen?
I'm not sure what happen but I'll continue monitoring this issue.  I'll touch base if I run into the problem again.
    Thanks for the help everyone.

  • New computer- photos dont show up from hard drive

    Hi,
I got a new computer and when I opened iphoto with my hard drive connected, it says the pictures are there, but they don't show up. I have a screen full of exclamtion points.
    Help?

    dislatecoya:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That "!" indicates that iPhoto has lost the path to the original file, i.e. a damaged database file in the library. Run the three fixes below in order as needed:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select all options.
2 - rebuild the library using iPhoto Library Manager as follows:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 -Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 -Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: It may take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos.
3 - start over with a new library and import the Originals folder from your original library as follows:
Creating a new library while preserving the Events from the original library.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open Photo window
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There's now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • New computer download

Before I switched computers, I made 2 CD's of all my music on Itunes. I have downloaded them onto my new computer. The songs show up on the screen, but when I click on any song the reply is "original file could not be found." I cannot organize, play or manage the library. How do I activate this without starting all over downloading albums?

Hrm... Okay, so if I'm reading this right, you backed up your purchases to CD, and then you restored them to your new computer using the File->Add to Library function (or just by dragging them into iTunes.) Now, when you try to play them, they say they aren't found.
It sounds like iTunes isn't set to copy items to your iTunes music folder when it adds them to your library (when something is added to your library, it just creates a pointer to the file, unless you set it to copy to your music folder).
Your best bet for fixing this is using the Advanced->Consolidate Library function while each of the CDs are in your computer. This will copy the backed-up music to your hard drive.

  • When I scroll over bookmarks a long list that I moved to my new computer as HTML show up, but when I try to bookmark a new file, and select "choose" no files in my list show up. I also can't seem to find "organize bookmarks"

I can't organize or add to my files. I just got a new computer and wanted to save old Firefox bookmarks. As above, when I drop down my menu of bookmarks and files, all the ones I imported are there. However, when I try to bookmark a new website and try to "choose" a place to organize it, none of my past bookmarks and files for organizing bookmarks show up. Help!

    Hi,
You can try deleting the '''places.sqlite''' file which stores the bookmarks + history, in your [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder Firefox Profile Folder] after exiting Firefox. You can also open the profile folder via Firefox '''Help''' ('''Alt '''+ '''H''') > '''Troubleshooting Information''' > '''Open Containing Folder'''. The file will be recreated at the next Firefox startup. You can restore the bookmarks from a backup or via '''Bookmarks''' ('''Alt''' + '''B''') >''' Show All Bookmarks''' > '''Import and Backup''' > '''Restore'''. From here you can also '''Export Bookmarks to HTML''' and later '''Import Bookmarks from HTML'''.

  • Bought a new computer, downloaded itunes and no longer have access to my library

I bought a new computer and when I downloaded itunes, my previous library was not there (I thought it was generated by log in not by computer?)  I tried plugging my ipod in to see if I could transfer the music I have on the ipod to itunes library it won't let me, just asks if I want to sync and replace with empty library.  how do I get my music from my ipod to my new computer?
    Thanks

Your library will only be where you put it.
The ipod is not a backup device.
You need to copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • New computer, doesn't show all that's in my itunes library

Just got a new computer. Logged onto itunes, but not all of my music shows up. I'm ditching the old computer, so should I just deauthorize the old one and set the new one up again, and hope it all shows up then? I'm not very savvy when it comes to this, but it shouldn't be this hard!

Type " move itunes library" into the google search bar.
Certainly your computer has a method of copying everything else.

  • Old computer crashed, have new computer, how to tranfer.  Already have files on new computer, but wont show up in iTunes

I guess my title is too long, sorry.  Old computer crashed, have new computer, already tranfered songs to new computer, but can't get them to show up in ITunes.  I have 2007 version of IPod, only a few songs on, and won't even transfer those.

Finally figured it out.  Just had to store all my songs/ folders in the iTunes folder.  My old computer folder set up threw me off, had duplicate folders of songs that messed everything up when copied over.
Thanks for your help though, appreciate it.
