New fields in a report

Hi,
I have a report created and I when I delete all objects in the Workspace Panel and I insert others BO doesn't allow me to insert them as a table, only allows me to insert them as a table. Before inserting objects I have the Workspace Panel empty.
Why I can't insert objects without any section?

Are you working in the Crystal designer ? In Deski ? In Webi ?

  • How to insert a new field in the Report Designer

    Hi all.
    I have a query and a report, but the query evolve.
    We have a new key figure (inside rows).
    In the report designer, I check the data provider.
    The new key figure is added in the catalog field.
    Now, I would like to insert the new field in the report.
    I add a new row in the report structure but it isnt what I want.
    In this case, I add a second row inside an another keys figures block.
    I want to create a new block for my new key figure

    Yes, key figures is in the field catalog.
    But When I do that " Insert a row ", Report designer create a " row 2 " below another key figures.
    And it isn't what I want. I want a new block .
    For exemple in the tab report structure (My new key figure is "Margin")
    I do that

    Please suggest what's the best method to add the new field in the report output of VA05  this can be done in 2 ways one way is by writing the code in theUser exit PERFORM MOVE_USERFIELDS  or copy the whole program to Zprogram and write the Code?Ist one need access key but the the other method is not required.

    Hi Mahesh,
    i'm in the process of making a similar change,
    copying to a ZPROGRAM is not so difficult, but as i told you you have to add your new field to VBMTV structure, and copy the includes that you need to change,
    P.S. Note, when you copy you have to change some SELECT statements where
    it's selecting from T180V table based on sy-repid, you hav to change sy-repid to SAPMV75A, as there's some configuration done for this.

    SAP provides include structure CI_QMEL for QM10 transaction.
    so create CI_QMEL Structure and add field as u need.
    But after that u need to assign it some where i don't know , check with ur funcntional consultants.

    I need to add a new field in the report "Format Payment Instructions " output. How can I add the logic to pick this field and then add to the layout.
    As per note 562806.1, it gives instructions on how to re-arrange the layout of the format payment instructions but not regarding adding logic to pick new fields.

    I don't think you can... Indeed, with RFITEMAR report (FBL5N), you can play with the structure, but not in RFDEPL00/RFKEPL00 reports. Only modification: you can take note 868388 as an example of a change, if you decide to do it.

                 im into ABAP and working across all modules..the basic thing is users and functional people are not satisfied with the standard reports..they need some logic change or to add some more fieldsinb the standard reports.For logic change we have to copy the standard to zprogram and can do or create a new program itself..but in many cases they ask for extra fields.how to achive it ..
    for example my requirement now is adding vendor name field to the report FAGGL03 ....i found a badi and have make changes to it ...now the vendor name will be coming in sgtxt over writing the text ...but they need text also...now what shall i do???
    append structure vendor name field in faglposx table ....???how to find out the final internal table from where the output is coming ????
    ?when we check the standard rewport codes...there are lot of include statements perform statements etc  ...how to find out the final structure or internal table which has the output values..???

    it would be better if u giv full name of the report
    if ur displaying the data in alv then search for the
    word REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY from which u can get the final table name
    then check the data that is comming into
    try using implicit enhancement or any other exit in the declaration and declare a new structure with the field and append it to the field catalog
    if ur displaying the data using write statement
    then create a zprogram and add a write statement
    fi ur unable to find here the final table then after displayign the report start the debugging and double click on any row to find out more easily

    Cause and prerequisites
    The fields must be located in table GLPCA (for actual) or GLPCP (for plan).
    For Release 3.0F, you should ensure you have applied Note 62511 first.
    Solution
    To include a field in the actual line item report, proceed as follows:
    Call the ABAP/4 Dictionary (Transaction SE11) and display table GLPCA. You can then find in a line the field name and data element for the field you want to include.
    Return to the initial screen of the ABAP/4 Dictionary. Now change the structure RPCA2. If the structure does not yet contain the field, you select Edit -> Insert field; enter the field name and data element. Do not insert the new field at the beginning of the structure but in the rear half of the structure.
    Then save and activate the structure.
    Now call the ABAP Editor (Transaction SE38). Change the source code of program RCOPCA02. Insert the lines set out in the attachment in FORM routine FIELDCAT_FILL. When you do this, replace SGTXT by the field name of the field. If you normally want the field to be displayed when you the access the report, delete the line   afield-no_out      = 'X'.                "<<<< insert Note 92864 .
    You should note that the place where you insert the lines influences the position of the column in the report list.
    To include a field in the Plan-line-item report, carry out the same procedure except with table GLPCP, structure RPCA8 and program RCOPCA08.
    Note: Pls check if these 2 fields are available in any of the layout versions you have available with the transaction.

    try to add your fields in that strucrure through APPEND strucrure . 
    after that   you need to execute the BUFALVDEL report ...  you will see your fields in that report .

    In fact, we have to add this field to the structure LIPOV, use the user exit EXIT_SAPLV50Q_001 to get this field. But we must also execute the program BALVBUFDEL to set the system Buffers. Then the field will appear in the list of Hidden fields in the transaction VL06O.

         We have implemented SAP CRM 7.0 ( SP8) and we are using the interactive reporting available in the system.  When we try to build a custom report using the manage reporting link (which leads to a wizard), the wizard lets us choose between 34 available fields in opportunity area. The customer wants to include few more fields to this list like Prospect id, Opportunity id, Item descriptions which are standard fields but not available in interactive reporting. So I am trying to find out from where in system those 34 fields are configured and how I can add few extra fields to that list. 
    With EHP1, SAP has provided a interactive reporting enhancement workbench, but we are on SP8. So any help or information is highly appreciated.

    The nature of a customized report is that it was coded only for your company.  Although there are dozens of ways that the report could have been built, we don't know which way your report was written.  Furthermore, forum members are generally not inclined to manage your reports, even if we did technically understand their structure.
    I expect the report is written in ABAP (the programming language developed for SAP).  The standard ABAP object code editor is SE38, where you can make the appropriate changes required.  It is beyond the scope of this forum to teach you ABAP.  For that, I suggest you take a class, or perhaps buy one of the many ABAP books that exist.
    To fix your report today, though, I suggest you consult with your local ABAP resource.  If one is not available, then your company should engage the services of an external ABAP consultant, who should be able to serve your needs for a fee.  There are thousands of ABAP consultants out there looking for work.
    You might try posting your question on one of the more Techie forums. such as ABAP Development Maybe you will find someone there who is willing to teach you ABAP coding....

  • SAP CRM 7.0 - Interactive reporting tool enhancing reports with new fields

    Hi Everyone,
    I am a BW Professional, currently working on evaluating the true benefits of implementing Interactive Reporting tool for our company. As I understand the Interactive reporting tool restricts us to report on individual reporting areas like Activities, Leads, Opportunties etc.
    But according to our business it is very important for us to be able to report on cross reporting areas real time i.e. activities & leads together or activties, leads & opportunties together etc.
    I learned about the enhancement work bench in interactive reporting tool where we can add SAP fields to individual reporting areas, so I thought of adding leads & opportunties to activities. This is where the fun part starts.
    Here I learned that all activty ID, Lead ID and Oppo ID are all fed from one single field from SAP CRM i.e. OBJECT_ID, which means the system is dividing this data into individual reporting areas based on type of data i.e. leads or oppor's etc. and may be based on some key like account etc. So here is a technical question, for me to add a new field to a reporting area I have to give a field name but we already have OBJECT_ID from where I am pulling activties data, so if I want to include leads also in activties then I will have to add some logic manually to get that and can't use enhancement workbench because it is for missing fields from SAP CRM whereas in my case I already have OBJECT_ID from where I am getting Activity data.
    Sorry if I am driving you guys crazy but I am just trying to think loud to make myself clear with concepts.
    Also I have seen that a reporting area in Interactive reporting tool is based on a BW query, but I am not sure why not all the fields in BW query are available for reporting in Interactive reporting tool?
    Any help or commets will be greatly appreciated.

    checking with the config wizard is always a good idea since it's the only supported way to configure this scenario
    The secret is that you apparently did not activate the report areas. It is a bit missleading that the queries are checked before the report areas are checked, therefore you see the errors concerning the queries first. Below those errors you should find some lines like
        Report areas: delivered 15, active <?>
        CRM interactive reports: delivered 20, active <?>
        Activation of report areas checked
    The last line offers some documentation and the actual link to activate the report areas.
