New Finished Goods due date

My scenario is we have a sales order which has a required due date, meaning that the FGs are required on a certain date. lets say we run the mrp and all requirments are calculated and planned orders , PRs are generated. Now, using CRP we firm the planned order dates. After we convert it into a production order.
My question is what is the effect if we change the FG due date to an earlier date, and how does it affect the schedule? do we need to run crp again?

Hi Timan
in MD04 select the Planned order enter into change screen (by double clicking on it) Now enter the New finish date and remove all other dates (Start date and planned open date)
Now click on the reshcdule button - second in the tool bar or press Shift+F6
Now the order will be rescheduled and firmed automatically you can save it

  • New planned goods issue date during delivery creation due to changed route

    Hello All,
I have defined 2 routes with different values for transit time and transporation lead times. I have configured routes such that in order creation - route A is determined and while delivery creation due to weight group - delivery B is determined.
Now for Route A i have maintained transit time of 3 days and Transportation lead time of 4 days and for Route B it is 1 day each.
Delivery scheduling is active for the order type.
Now when i create the order with a delivery date of say 05/24/2010 then (route A with transit time of 3 days) is determined and the planned goods issue date of 05/21/2010 is in the order.
Now while creating delivery (Route B which has transit time 1 day) is determined due to the weight group. But the planned goods issue date is still the same 05/21/2010 as in order.
I am assuming that since the route B has a route of 1 day so the planned goods issue date should be re-determined to 05/23/2010? IS there no scheduling done during delivery creation even though route and subsequently transit time has changed?
Please let me know the answer to this...
    Thanks
    Shobhit

    Hi ,
You can use TA - MASS . Enter object type - BUS2032(for sales orders) on initial screen and select sales item data.
Next screen enter selection fields like sales order no and items. After giving order no and item range , execute and enter all new values for any item data fields. After pressing button "carry out mass change", don't forget to press save button.

  • Split valuation for Finished Goods - Target cost was not updated

    Hi,
We are following split valuation for 'Finished goods'.
Valuation typte 1 is for 'manufacture' and
Valuation type 2 is for 'External procurement'
For production orders with this material, we are not getting target costs. It is showing zero.
We have done release of standard cost estimate before creation of production orders and goods receipt for these orders. But still it is not updating.
    Pls guide me.
    Regards
    MadhuSekhar Gupta

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
At the time of variance calculation only the credit part of target cost will update and at the time of goods receipt debit part of the target cost will update.
Our client has done goods receipt but debit part of the target cost was not updated. and the order status is DLV.
I simulated the scenario in QAS by creating new finished goods materials (Industry-Construction) one is with split valuation and another is without split valuation, then the debit part of target cost was updated at the time of goods receipt and credit part was updated at the time of variance calculation for both the materials. So this problem was not arised because of split valuation.
Was this problem arising because of the material master data, because for one material it is updating and for another it is not for the same configuration?

  • How to set a due date in Reminders

Hey guys this had been bugging me for a while so I decided I'd share my findings. This is a pseudo-fix but I think it works for my purposes.
    First, the solution:
Open Automator (go into Spotlight and search "Automator")
    Create a new service
Under the "Service Receives" dropdown select "none" and make sure it's "every application"
Then in the search bar to the left find "Run AppleScript"
Drag and drop the "Run AppleScript" to the right.
Paste the following code in the "Run AppleScript":
tell application "System Events" to set FrontAppName to name of first process where frontmost is true
    if FrontAppName is "Reminders" then
              tell application "Reminders"
set newReminder to make new reminder
set name of newReminder to "new reminder"
set due date of newReminder to current date
              end tell
    else
display dialog "failed to make new reminder!"
    end if
Save the service as whatever you'd like, I named mine "new-reminder-with-due-date"
Now close Automator, go to "System Preferences" -> "Keyboard" -> "Shortcuts"
Go to the bottom where it says "Shortcuts..." Add an entry, in the  Application say "Reminders"
Then paste the name of the service name you chose earlier (again mine was "new-reminder-with-due-date")
Choose a shortcut to make a new reminder with a due date, For me I chose CMD + SHIFT + n
    Close the System Preferences
Now when you use your shortcut in the Reminders app it will create a new Reminder with the due date set as "now"
Change the due date to whatever you want and there you go
Now the explanation. I used references from:
    http://www.macstories.net/tutorials/enhancing-reminders-with-applescript-and-mac ros/
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7570855/where-to-find-what-commands-propertie s-are-available-for-applescript-in-microsof
Basically Reminders happens to have the "due date" property as a scriptable feature. So with AppleScript you can make a new reminder with a due date. I set the date to "Current Date" because I just needed the due date there. You can set the default due date to something else if you'd like but this is at least a solution you can use.
I'm now going to explore how to add a due date to an existing reminder using AppleScript. Hope this helps everyone in the future.

There's a correction to the code. For whatever reason doing it that way still sets it as a "remind me when" parameter. Use the following code instead:
tell application "System Events" to set FrontAppName to name of first process where frontmost is true
    if FrontAppName is "Reminders" then
              tell application "Reminders"
set duedate to (current date) + (2 * days)
      make new reminder with properties {name:"New Reminder", due date:duedate}
              end tell
    else
display dialog "failed to make new reminder!"
    end if

  • Issue in creating Finish Good Material for specific sales area

I am trying to create a new "finished good material" through "MM01" , after selecting  "industory sector" & "Material type" I have also selected the views the next screen comes is for Organization level ,
when I select Plant , sales org & distribution channel and press enter an error comes "Company Code 1000 is not set up for Material Managment".
    please help me out.

    hi,
    Check few things:
    1. Check whether the plant is assigned to the co.code which it is showing and the Material is maintained for the same plant...
    2. Check whether there is proper assignment of the porg to co.code
    Porg to plant, etc...
If plant is not assigned to cocode then assign it in OX18....
    Or
If you are using the IDES, then try with the other plant and material...

  • Closing Date/Due Date/ Balance

Hi all!! I had a balance before my first statement. I paid it before my statement cut BUT my statement cut the same day. The old balance was reported to the CRAs. When I look at the statement it says new balance $0, due date 7/282015, amount past due $0, mInimum payment $0. Does this mean on the 28th I don't have to pay the balance I have because the balance on my statement says $0? If my collections are correct my next statement should cut August 2nd. Can I simply pay the balance I currently have before that date to to allow reporting of a low balance?  Thanks!!!

Confirmed above but yes.  It's the statement balance that is due on the due date that you're concerned with.  The current balance could be a different amount depending on what else may have posted to the account. simplyme1 wrote:

  • Difference between configurable and non configurable finished goods master

    Hi
Pl explain the difference between configurable and non configurable finished goods master data.
    Thanks
    kamala

    Hi,
Configurable material are used when you have a large number of combination of parts that go into a product. It means different combinations of the parts for same material. If you maintain a unique material code for each combination , you require a large number of material numbers. KMAT is used in such a case where you maintain just one generic product code. You assign class to this material having all variant characteristics.
A super BOM is maintained for such a material consisting of all possible alternatives. A super routing is also maintained consisting of all possible operations that could be used.
Typically configurable material is used in Made To Order (MTO) environment. However frequently ordered configurations may be planned with a material variant which needs to have a material master record. Thus Material variants may have stock and value. Depending upon characteristic values chosen at sales order entry Sales Order BOM is created. Routing operations are also chosen depending upon which BOM components are assigned to them.
Non configurable materials are like finish, semi finish materials having fixed BOM.  A separate/single BOM exits for every finish material.
    Revert back for more info.
    thanks and regards,
    Man

  • Restrict PO goods receipt based on PO due date

    Folks,
Is there a way to restrict the processing of a PO goods receipt with tnx MIGO if the PO due date is too far in the future. Basically,I want to stop goods receipts when the physical delivery much earlier than the PO due date.
    Thanks,

There is no configuratin setting  to restrict the processing of a PO goods receipt with tnx MIGO if the PO due date is too far in the future.
You can use the enhancement MBCF0005 and component EXIT_SAPM07DR_001 and make changes based on your requirement.

  • Regarding new Reminder app in Mountain Lion:  is there a away to sort reminders by due date in the same fashion you can in the iCloud version of Reminders?

Regarding new Reminder app in Mountain Lion:  is there a way to sort reminders in due date order in the same fashion as you can in the iCloud version of Reminders?

So true! I have to agree: "It appears Reminders in 10.8 did not get a whole lot of thought put into it regarding how folks actually use reminders."
With Mountain Lion, Reminders no longer resembles a task-management (to-do) app in any way. I used to be able to limp along using it for my to-dos (although it never did accommodate this need well). This upgrade has made Reminders completely unusable for task management.
Once I got over my disappointment, I did some research and decided to try "Things." This application has all the functionality I've been wanting all along. It has a Mac version, an iPhone version, and an iPad version (among others)--and it keeps all devices synched via the Cloud (just not the iCloud ... but who needs the i ?). I wish I'd discovered it years ago. I'm glad now that Mountain Lion put Reminders over the edge; otherwise, I would not have made this discovery.
"Things" (oddly named though it is) comes close to the old Franklin planner software I used to love and haven't been able to find a substitute for. It can import items from Reminders, and it works with Siri. It's a joy to use, and it does everything I want it to do plus some things I never thought of and will use all the time. I downloaded the free trial version last night and within an hour paid for it with gratitude.

  • Goods Receipt PO due date cannot auto change

    Dear All,
Would like to ask about a question that the Due Date in the Goods Recepit PO won't aunto changed to the date that plus the credit terms day.
for example i open this po today (18.09.2008) for BP-A which has a credit terms day as 30 days. but the Due Date will not auto change to 18.10.2008, is there any setting can set about it ?
Please kindly help one this. thank you very much

Goods Receipt PO is for inventory purpose.  It does not link to payment or other financial need.  That is why it is not automatically updated.
You can use FMS to achieve the update you need.
    Thanks,

  • AR - New estimated payment date after due date

    Dear friends,
In the event the Client is not paying within the expected due date that was calculated as "Net Due Date", we normally give the Client a grace period, and the need is to record this new estimated payment date in a date field, that the SAP user will manually introduce. The Net Due Date must not be affected as in case of having debt interests, they will be calculated on that basis. But I can not find a suitable way to implement it.
    Regards,
    Érika Iranzo
(PS: Extra information: We calculate the "Net Due Date" (FAEDT) of the our clients and vendor's invoices from the "Baseline Date for payment" (ZFBDT) plus the highest number of days within the terms of payment "Cash discount days 1" (ZBD1T). So that the due date is calculated as FAEDT = ZFBDT + ZBD1T. Additionally we also consider a region-specific calendar)

I found the field Grace Days RFOPS-TOLER that seems to be useful for my purpose, does any one know how can I make it visible when editing a document?

  • New Due date for reversed Invoice

    Hi Experts,
Can we determine a new due date for reversed invoice through standard configuration? The due date of reversed invoice remains the same as that of the original invoice even if its reversed after a year. It looks very odd that a FICA entry has a due date of past.
I tried by assigning the out-going payment term to the FICA payment term configuration but it doesnot determines a new due date from the posting date I provide during invoice reversal.
    Any Clue ?
    Regards
    Satyajeet

    Hi Satyajeet,
As per standard SAP, the due date of a particular invoice is derived from the date you are posting it in SAP and the payment terms configured in the contract account master, irrespective of the fact that whether it is a cancel-rebilled invoice or a normal invoice.
So if a invoice is posted on 05.08.2011 and the payment terms mantained at the CA master is 5 days then the due date will be on 10.08.2011.
The due date of a invoice is determined in event R417. Check if any custom FM is assigned in there which is changing the standard SAP functionality.
Also check event 1330, which gets called from event R417 to determine the due date.
    Hope it helps.....
    Thanks,
    Amlan

  • Due Date in new posting period

    Hi All,
Posting date range in new financial period (new posting period) is one in which my JEs should posted and they will be having impact in financial system. Which is logical.
What is the need of Due Date? Is it useful in any practical situation?
    B Ravi Shankar

    Ravi,
You do not have to specifically define a range? When you create a posting period SAP automatically create the range from first day of Fiscal year to last day of Fiscal year.
Let me explain with an example.
Let us consider  01/01/2007  to  31/12/2007 as the fiscal year
For some of the document that you create during the last few months, you may require to enter a Due date later than the Fiscal year (going into next fiscal year)
example: Invoice created on 15/12/2007 with Net 30 terms will need a Due date of 14/01/2008 but since you Due date range ends on 12/31/2007 you will not be able to Add this document.
To overcome this you will have to click on the yellow arrow next to the Period and change the <b>Due Date to</b> to accomodate the 14/01/2008 due date.
    Hope it helped

  • Query re creating a new due date schedule

    Hi
We are looking to create a new suite of 'free-choice' courses whereby students can choose their own selection of modules at the start of each of three semesters and pay for them, in total, at that time.
As the fee will be based around the course, and surcharges, I am assuming that I need to create a due date schedule containing three payment dates, as per day one of each semester. I will then have a determination method of 100% against the first date which I am further assuming will ensure that any modules booked at the later dates will then also need to be paid in full on those dates
I am hoping that someone can either confirm that my logic is correct here - or point me in the right direction!
    many thanks

    Dear Experts,
How to check production date of finished goods products.
    wilson

    Hi..
what I would say that production date would be the confirmed finish date.. if you open any production order..there is a field for this confirmed finish date.. it is the field which gets updated when u do the GR of finished product...
Let me know if u have different requirement.
I think Prasobh seems to be more accurate to ur requirement...
