New Java Version In JDeveloper

I'm using JDeveloper 3.2.3 to develop Java Application
I want to use JDK 1.4 not the JDK 1.2 that comes with the JDeveloper. Is This version of JDeveloper supports JDK1.4?
If yes, How can I use it?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
JDK1.4 support is not provided for the version you are using. You can download the latest JDev from the following link.

  • How to add new Java version to Java Preferences?

    Greetings,
I know Java 7 is not officially supported, but I know it works.
I built 1.70.jre and put it in /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines, but I do not know how to add to  Java Preferences.
Does anyone know where the list of Java versions is stored and how to add a version to it?
    Thanks

Fixing the permissions did not fix it.
I think there  to be a record somewhere of what version are where. That is probably set if you use am installer which I do not have. I only have the file I copied there.
I found out that typing this in Terminal...
    export JAVA_HOME=/Library/Java/1.7.jre/Contents/Home
...temporarily sets that version to the one being used, but it is only for that Terminal session, and it still does not show in Java Preferences.
I need to know how to get it into Java Preferences. It might be some command I don't know.

  • HT5493 how about giving us a URL that will result in the the "missing plug-in" region appearing so that we can proactively download new java version?

just accepted OSX update for Oracle SE Java - want to make sure the new plug-in is installed before giving access to wife - need a URL that will ask for the plug-in to be downloaded as the OSX update only removed the apple version.

How do I test whether Java is working on my computer?

  • Run time errors on new java;  how do i get older version?

i keep getting runtime errors on the new java version i'm tire of it i can't play my pogo games lol. how do i get an older version of java?

Uninstall the JDK/JRE you are using (I presume J2SE 6.0). To do this : Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > then remove JRE 6.0 and JDK 6.0.
Visit http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/previous.jsp and download the previous jdk that works fine for you. Install it and try your game.
    Hope That Helps

try the version 11 or 12 they should work perfectly."

  • Java Version BI 4.1 SP1

    Hello,
The last couple of weeks we have experienced quiet a lot of error messages that seems to relate to Java versions installed on users computers.
    Examples:
What we have told our users is to upgrade or downgrade the Java to 7.45.
My question is, does anyone know of a patch that makes Business Objects work more smoothly with new Java versions (7.25 and newer)
Or is there any other way to make it a bit more stable?
    Many thanks

There were know issues with Java 7 update - 45, however these were fixed with 7 update 45 +.
We have update 51 and do not find any issues to occur.
A way of getting this corrected would be that the reports load the Java binaries existing in the BO installation.
You can try with un-installing Java in client boxes and let them retrieve the same from BO installation. This would be a one time activty and hence help in removing all such errors / messages.

  • How to get notified when new java SE update is released

We need to track security and performance bug fixes and features introduced in each new Java release that comes out.  Is there a linked that we can monitor or feed that updates us when a new java version comes out? Do we need a support contract to receive these updates?

  • Set java version

I am into development of a J2EE project, where jdk version is 1.4.2_04 in Win XP environment.
My JAVA_HOME, classpath, Path variables point to this version.
Then for testing purpose I installed JDK 1.6.0_11 in a different drive. Now my java -version command shows 1.6.0_11, although the JAVA_HOME, classpath, Path variables point to the older version. I want to go back to the previous jdk for my work. Also I want to do some testing in the new java version. My idea before installing the JDK 1.6.0_11 was that I will toggle between the versions by changing the values of environment variables. But since they point to the older jdk I am lost. Please help me.

The 6u11 JRE install updated the Registry and java/javaw/javaws files in the windows\system32 directory. Since that directory is listed first in the classpath, the 6u11 version became the default.
If you don't need the 6u11 JRE, you can uninstall it, which should restore what you previously had - a JDK (as opposed to a JRE) only installs the one JDK directory, no other changes are made.
You should be able to execute a desired java.exe version by using the full path for the java.exe file on the commandline. Java doesn't use any form of java_home.

    Resolution
Move the mouse or trackpad cursor over the center area of the login window so you can see the user icons. Click on the icon of the user that you would like to login as, type in the user's password, and press Return.
If the login window is configured to show only the name and password fields, type in the user's name and password into the fields, and press Return (even if you cannot see the rest of the login window).
    Additional Information
This issue will not occur if the display is not sleeping when the account is logged out. Use the steps below to confirm that the account is not configured to log out automatically while the display is sleeping:
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General.  Click the padlock to unlock the preference pane and enter your admin password. Click the Advanced button at the bottom, then see if the option "Log out after N minutes of inactivity" (where N is the number of minutes) is enabled.
Open System Preferences > Energy Saver and configure Display Sleep to occur after the account is logged out, by dragging the slider to a number of minutes that is greater than N was set to in the previous step.
Important: If automatic log out is not needed, disable "Log out after Nminutes of inactivity" in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General. This will also prevent the issue.
