  • What is the highest Java version running with SOA Suite v10.1.3.3 ?

What is the highest Java version running with SOA Suite v10.1.3.3 ?
From my point of view at least v1.4.1
    Maybe v1.5
    but not v1.6
    Is this true?
    Peter

    I guess only 1.5.
1.6 is officially not supported and 1.4 does break stuff, I tried running it with it, and didn't even come up.

  • What's new in version 6? Why not version 5.0.2 or 5.1?

Why all the new versions? 4 was out for a brief time, 5 has been out for just as brief... So what IS new between 5.0.1 and 6? Why should I upgrade?
By the way "more awesome" isn't a valid reason.

There are one or two differences, such as support for LOBs and also Syntax Colouring in the PL/SQL Editor. You certainly don't need a book to make the transition!

  • What's new in version 7?

Version 7 is less an overhaul of version 4 than it is a refinement of it. The interface itself is virtually unchanged, although its task-directed system of tabs and buttons is even more intuitive. Themes, title templates and DVD and BluRay templates also look better than ever.
(By the way, just as an FYI, there were no versions 5 or 6 of Premiere Elements. It's just that Premiere Elements is being increasingly bundled with Photoshop Elements, which was leading it by a few versions. Rather than have different versions of each in the bundle, Adobe chose simply to market them as an "Elements suite", version 7.)
Several new features are worth noting:
The ability download and edit video from AVCHD camcorders
A more full-featured Organizer, featuring tools, including SmartDetect, for adding tags and other metadata to media files
InstantMovie tool for interfacing with Movie Themes
The Timeline and Sceneline have been slightly redesigned to include easier access to some of the programs power tools for mixing audio, detecting beats in music and controlling playback speed of clips
Integrated SmartSound Quicktracks, for creating custom music tracks based on the criteria (length, style, etc.) you provide
Videomerge, a new tool that makes applying chroma key effects virtually automatic
Live links to Photoshop.com, a site for displaying your photos and video as well as for accessing additional effects, templates and transitions for Premiere Elements
Live links to the Inspiration Browser, a site which offers free tips and tutorials for more effectively using the program
For a more detailed discussion of these new features as well as illustrations of the new interface, see my article for http://www.muvipix.com, "What's New in Premiere Elements 7":

I would like to read your article, but it requires downloading and installing a 41MB file, Adobe Acrobat Reader? I use Foxit, and that is the first time I haven't been able to view anything requiring Adobe Reader or it's plug in for Mozilla. Any ideas?
    Thanks

  • So what's new in version 1.1?

I juz upgraded my nano to the latest version, version 1.1 today. So, I was wondering what's new in this version? As usual, Apple didn't say what's been fixed/added to the new version. So, I was hopin' someone might know and share with us all the knowledge.
Apple really should provide a changelog for any future updates.

There are never any details with the update on what the the bug fixes are but the major change in 1.1 from the previous version is to enable the iPod for the use of rental movies. As for the changelog idea, you can leave feedback/feature requests at this link: Apple Product Feedback

  • What to make of java -version output?

    hi,
I have two machines with java on them, doing a -version gives:
    java version "1.4.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
    and
    java version "1.4.0"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
The problem is that the first produces a strange error
ERROR: could not initialize interface awt - exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: processSynchronousLightweightTransfer
so I was wondering what the differences are between b03 and b92, and where these might be documented on suns website?
    thanks,
    asjf

    You posted the same thing.
As far as I know b92 was the release of 1.4.0. Builds previous to that would have been betas. Newer builds have bug fixes in them, just as x.x.n builds do.
You might also compare video cards, drivers and fonts on the two systems. Many problems in the GUI systems are caused by variances in those.

  • What is the Supported Java Version

I have been trying to find any information on what version of
Java Adobe will officially support for ColdFusion 8.
I am considering upgrading the Java version to the latest
(updater 5) but would avoid doing so if it means I would not be
    supported.
Does anyone know what versions of Java are supported for CF8?
    Thanks

I have seen that document and it says that 1.6_01 is the
supported version. I had seen a document referencing 1.6_02 and
figured that at least that version was supported. After going back
and finding it again, I see that it was not an Adobe document as I
    had recalled.
    Thanks

  • What is the latest Java version that OATS is compatible with?

    Hi,
We currently have JAVA Version 6 Update 33 (build 1.6.0_33-b03) installed, while running OATS 12.1.0.1.361.
Upgrading JAVA to a later update causes OATS to fail when transitioning from Web to Forms.
Is there a solution to this, e.g. does OATS 12.2 take care of this issue?
    Rgds,
    B

    Hi B,
You don't have to install or upgrade java for OATS. OATS itself comes with jre packages. So don't install any updates.
If you install any updates, you will face issues with forms launch.

  • What's New & Different w/ this version of Device Software 5.0?

A few months ago, Blackberry game out with version 5.0 Device software.  They then took it off their website.  Now they brought it back.  What's new with version 5.0?  What does it fix/improve from 4.5?  Also, what's different with this release of version 5 over the previous release?  Anyone know?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

RIM produces the OSes, then sends them to the carriers for testing.  The carriers then test the versions and decide which version(s) they will release.  Sprint, Verizon, Telus, Bell, and so on, all do their own testing on their networks and decide which OS version they want without consulting with the other carriers.  So Sprint may be on one version, Verizon on another, etc.
When it comes to the actual release, after the carriers decide which version they want to release, they work with RIM to release the OS.  This includes adding carrier information to the OS (via the Vendor.xml file) which restricts the release to just that carrier (i.e. so you can't install an OS for Verizon on a Sprint phone (extra steps are required for that to work)).  Notifications are then sent out to users using the subscriber information for that carrier.
I hope that explains it a bit more.

  • Minimum Java Version?

I was wondering....what is the minimum java version compatible with the Bonjour Java Libraries (I am hoping 1.3 will work fine)
    Martin

I'm writing an exe Jar and would like to know what the
minimum version of java i can run it on. How can I
    find this out?
I don't think there's any way other than testing the program extensively with different versions. Minor changes in the API may make some feature of your program not work or be unusable..
Also, if i have more than one JRE
installed, how can i create a bat file to run the prog
    with the different version installed?
You have to use full paths.
you can actually set the target version which you want to build to
when you compiling your code... for example, when you set your
target to 1.3, then java with version 1.3 onward should be about to
run the program without problems...The "target" option doesn't do much; it only tells the compiler to generate byte code compatible to a certain version. If you set target to 1.3 you won't get any warning for using regular expressions which were a new addition in 1.4...

  • Java versions for OIM install

    Hi,
Last time when I installed OIM, everything worked fine, but I was unable to open the workflow manager applet. I think maybe I used the wrong JRE/JDK. Please read below the environment I am using and suggest which Jave version should be used.
    OS: Windows 2003 Server
    Browser: IE
    OIM: 9.1
    Application Server: Weblogic (latest version)
    1. Installing Oracle Weblogic, which JRE to use?
a> 1.6 Sun Java already shipped with Weblogic
b> 1.6 Oracle JRockit shipped with Weblogic
    c> any other Java version
    2. Installing OIM Server, in the screen where it asks for Application server information, in the field where it asks the JDK used for application server install, which one to use?
a> The one I choose above in 1
b> any other Java version (1.4.2_12 or _15 or something else)
    3. Installing OIM client, when it asks for JRE to use with design console, which Java to use?
a> Install JRE bundled with OIM
b> JDK 1.4.2_12 or _15 or any other Java version
    4. Now, when I use the OIM, what should be the Java version that my browser should be configured to launch the Workflow Manager applet?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Harmeet

The release notes for your oim version contains information about what JRE versions are supported.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/files/idm_certification_101401.html#BABGBGHI
Sun JDK 1.6.0_10 or higher JRockit 1.6.0_05 or higher seems to be what you are looking for.
    Best regards
