New operating concern - order settlemement - runtime error KE499

Hello all,
we created a new operating concern 8000 and changed to the operating concern in KEBC.
Now when we try to do an order settlement in KO88, it is working for new orders created after the operating concern change, but for old orders, we do get a runtime error KE499:
Profitability segment number 0000183221 does not exist in operating concern 8000!
Appearently this is caused by the operating concern change, because the old orders are still "connected" to our old operating conern 2000.
Now I was wondering, is there a transaction to fix this, something that would transfer the values for the order from the old operating concern to the new one?

Hi,
I am also getting the exact same error while running CO88 for settlement of production orders, The note recommended above deals with inconsistencies in the sales data. We had changed the assignment of the operating concerna and now we are facing the error where we are not available to pass even one settlemsnt of the production order. I cannot go and individually delete the orders and have to run settlement as a mass transaction.
Please advise innwhat to do.

WCF OData Service stored procedure call generates "Operation could destabilize the runtime" error with $select option

I've been trying to call a stored procedure through Entity Framework and WCF Data Services (OData). It returns an entity not a complex type. Following walkthroughs found all over the web, I came up with this code inside my service:

Calling the proc this way: ~WcfService.svc/GetEntitiesByParameterId?parameterId=1 executes
the stored procedure and returns entities that should be returned. No problem there.
Everything works well until I try to use $select OData option ie. ~WcfService.svc/GetEntitiesByParameterId?parameterId=1&$select=name.
Upon debugging, the method above runs without any error but it returns an Operation could destabilize the runtime error upon reaching the
client. After so much research, apparently it is a very general error pointing to a lot of different causes. I haven't found one that really matches my particular problem. Closest are

Second is that some of the queries won't work correctly because LINQ to EF needs little different LINQ expressions than LINQ to Objects in some cases. Which is the problem you're seeing.
It has been posted on 2012. If it its true, are there still no updates on this? And is there any other workaround to get the $select working on the stored proc call?

Someone from SO replied to my question there and said that $select is still not supported though I couldn't find any definitive documentation about it.
From what I gather and observed, $select breaks the stored procedure call because it tries to alter the data shape already gotten from the database and attempts to return a dynamic entity instead. Something about the stored proc returning an ObjectResult might
be messing it up. As I have said, these are merely my observations.
Workaround: I found a simple and elegant workaround for it though. Since my stored procedures are only getting data from the database and does
not alter data in any way (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE), I tried using table-valued functions that returns a table equivalent to the entity on my EF. I've found that calling this function on the Service Operation method returns an IQueryable<Entity> which
is basically what is needed. $select also works now and so does other OData query options.
Steps:
Create a function on the database
Update EDMX -> Add function
Add new Function Import with Entity return type
Create service operation in WCF Data Service that calls CurrentDataSource.<FunctionName>()
Test in fiddler.

Definition of a new operating concern

Hi experts,
We have a question about transporting a new operating concern.
To transport customizing settings of the new operating concern we used Tcode KE3I.
We defined new characteristics and value fields for the new operating concern.
In the customizing request we can see that for the tables TKEF and TKEFD all entries (old and new) were included.
But all old fields already exists in the target system of the transport request.
Should we keep the old fields (existing characteristics and value fields) in the customizing request or should we delete them and leave only the new ones ????

Firefox will not load on a new laptop. Keeps returning "runtime error".

After loading Firefox 3.6 on a new laptop, it ran for a while. Then, it would not run. Keeps returning. "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime error. This program has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
Uninstalling and then reinstalling the latest version of Firefox does not help the problem.

2. I try to copy from OP concern = IDEA but when click change DATA STRUTURE -I see only CE1xxx but I not see CE2xxxx, CE3xxxx, CE4xxxx ...
pls advise - how to? can I change data structure on CE2, CE3....

If your data structure will be the same then do a copy. if the data structures are different then create from scratch ( or modify after copy). Copy saves time so you don't have to start from scratch.

Order template -runtime error

Hello Time.
When i open some order templates from the search result it is giving run time error.
It is not happening for all order templates.? Any one can help me with any clues.
I also want to know.
1.How the order template is stored in backend.
2. how we can differentiate between normal order and order template.
3.Will search result for order template show all order templates in the system?. What is the filthater criteria for that?.

Installed new version of iTunes, getting Runtime Error.

So I updated iTunes, Safari, and Quicktime. All works well except for iTunes. As soon as I open it up, it says:

Error when create Operating Concern

Hi Experts;
At the time of creating a new operating concern after i have defined Characteristics and Value Fields, and checking the status I received the following error:
Error generating table KOMPAKE
Message no. KE434
Diagnosis
An error occurred while Table KOMPAKE was being generated.
Procedure
Analyze the error using Transaction SE11. Use the function 'Check'.
Then I wen to SE11 to check giving the table name as mentioned above, I found the following and could not fix the error;
Then after opening the Long Text it gave the following message:

Maintain the enhancement category in the table or structure maintenance in the ABAP Dictionary.
Then by opening the ((enhancement category)) link i received the following message then STOPPED where I could not do anything more!!!

The enhancements do not only refer to structures/ tables themselves, but also to dependent structures that adopt the enhancement as an include or referenced structure. Append structures that only take effect at the end of the original structure can also cause shifts - in the case of dependent structures - even within these structures.
You must select an enhancement category for the following reason: In programs where there is no active Unicode check, enhancements to tables and structures can cause syntax and runtime errors during type checks and particularly in combination with deep structures.
In programs where there is an active Unicode check, statements, operand checks, and accesses with an offset and length are problematic - for example, if numeric or deep components are inserted into a purely character-type structure and the structure thus loses its character- type nature.
Depending on the structure definition, the radio buttons allowed in the dialog box are ready for input. Choose one of the possible enhancement categories:
Cannot be enhanced
The structure must not be enhanced.
Can be enhanced or character type
All structure components and their enhancements must be character-type (C, N, D, or T). The original structure and all enhancements through Customizing includes or through append structures are subject to this limitation.
Can be enhanced or character-type or numeric
The structure and its enhancement must not contain any deep data types (tables, references, strings).
Can be enhanced in any way
The structure and its enhancement may contain components whose data type can be of any type.
Not classified
This category can be chosen, for example, for a transition status; however, it must not be chosen for creating structures.
The rules for defining the enhancement category result implicitly from the structure setup and the classification of the types used. These rules are as follows:
If the object contains at least one numeric type or a substructure or component (field has a structure/table/view as its type) that can be enhanced numerically, the object can no longer be enhanced character-type, but is itself, at most, enhanceable character-type or numeric.
If the object contains a deep component (string, reference, or table type), or it contains a substructure or component that is marked as enhanceable in any way, then the object itself is enhanceable in any way.
If the object does not contain any substructure or component that is marked as enhanceable, you can select cannot be enhanced. If the structure has not yet been enhanced, you can choose the category cannot be enhanced in any case.
If you are creating new tables and structures in the ABAP Dictionary, the system proposes the category can be enhanced in any way as standard value for the classification of the enhancement options. If the developer chooses a more restrictive classification than can be enhanced in any way for a particular structure, then only the classification levels that adhere to the rules above are allowed. It is not possible to choose an enhancement option of a structure that is more restrictive than the classification resulting immplicitly from the structure setup and from the classification of the types used. Therefore, only the allowed categories are proposed for selection in the maintenance user interface.
If a structure depends on one or several other structures, the smallest category is chosen as implicit classification (in the order cannot be enhanced < can be enhanced and character-type < can be enhanced and character-type or numeric < can be enhanced in any way). This classification is greater than or less than the category in the other structures and also greater than or the same as the category that results from the actual setup in the original structure itself.

Portal Runtime Error when operating "Portal Content"

these days, I installed a NW710 in our team server, and try to configure its UWL to one backend system. Therefore I need to create a new system entry from "System Administration->System Configuration->Portal Content->New->System(from template)".

Operating Concern - Transport

Hi All,
I'm trying to create a New operating concern, new characteristics and value fields in the gold client. But these customizing changes are not "automatically" collected in a transport request.
Can someone tell me what is the right way to go about with configuring CO-PA Organizational elements and Data structures in the gold client and collect all these settings in a transport.

Hi,
For transporting Operating Concern please use transaction code KE3I. You need to create a manual transport request. Many of the CO-PA requests can be included in transport request from this transaction. While incorporating the characterstics and value fields excercise caution and check the transport request regarding the objects included.
There is also an OSS note on CO-PA transports. You can check the same.

Reporting IAC not working in MSS/Time Administrator - Portal Runtime Error

Hi Experts,
I am having some problems viewing the Report Results after executing the Reporting IAC in the MSS and TA roles.
I select a report from the list, click on Define Selection Criteria, select an employee, then the Report Result pops up in a new window. However, this is where the error occurs as the new window displays a portal runtime error.
Can anyone help me with this?

Data type "PAT03" was found i n a newer version than required.
Runtime Error

The current ABAP program"SAPLSPAM" had t o be terminated because one

Adding a ValueField to an existing Operating Concern?

Gurus,
I'm new to CO-PA. I need to add a new Value Field to an operating concern which is already live in CO-PA.
Please let me know the impact of it on an operating concern and the existing reports if any.
Create the new Value Field in KEA6
Add the new field to Data Structure of the new Operating Concern in KEA0.
Are there any other steps that need to be taken care of ?

3. SAVE and CLick on the CANDLE icon to activate the data strucutre
4. Press back
5. System would give a pop up to generate the OP concern again.. Confirm it and regenrate the op concern
6. Now, generate a transport request from KE3I.. Select all the indicators under "Operating Concern"... Transport the work bench and the customizing requests to prod client
make sure that all users are logged off while you transport the requests

Transport operating concern

Hi experts,
We have a question about transporting a new operating concern.
To transport customizing settings of the new operating concern we used Tcode KE3I.
We defined new characteristics and value fields for the new operating concern.
In the customizing request we can see that for the tables TKEF and TKEFD all entries (old and new) were included.
But all old fields already exists in the target system of the transport request.
Should we keep the old fields (existing characteristics and value fields) in the customizing request or should we delete them and leave only the new ones ????

Hi,
For transporting Operating Concern please use transaction code KE3I. You need to create a manual transport request. Many of the CO-PA requests can be included in transport request from this transaction. While incorporating the characterstics and value fields excercise caution and check the transport request regarding the objects included.
There is also an OSS note on CO-PA transports. You can check the same.
