New operating system problems
A screen with the apple and a line beneath it appears on my phone most of the time, impeding access to all apps, answering the phone, doing anything really. If I press the power button long enough I get the option to turn it off and then I select the cancel and can use my phone for a couple minutes until the **** screen with teh apple and line beneath it returns and disables use of my iphone. Something obvioulsy went wrong in installation of iOS 7., but appearently it did install. I need help. What can I do?

This line sounds like either it is erasing iPhone or updating iPhone. Your software is up to date.

IPhone new operating system - problem with alerts
There seems to be a glitch on the calendar when setting up alerts with the new IPhone operating system. When I set up a time for 1st & second alerts the system does not keep the times I chose and reverts to other non-chosen times for the alerts.

The problem is with the new operating system and sending photo via email when used in my iPad.
From photo I selected 3 photos to send via email. I choose the upload key and choose to send by email. Typing text on the email is very slow. This is solved by saving the email as a draft and opening the email again from mail.
Can you amend he system to allow emails to be sent from photo as previously.Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off" -
I am not getting any sound input on my microphone. There is no microphone input on my new macbook pro, so I am using my old one. Is this a problem with the new operating system? Did they simply remove any microphone software?
Check System Preferences > Sound > Output
Make sure the correct device is selected. -
The program vectorworks 2008 (not 2009) does not work with the new operating system Mavericks, which is a disaster because it forces us to change the program, and is very expensive. Apple should fix this problem
Why should Apple fix the problem? Maybe you should consider NOT upgrading if an expensive piece of (obsolete) software you're running won't work with it...

Problems with reinstallation - new operating system mac
Back in 2009 I bought the Adobe Creative Suite 4 for mac. Installation was no problem. A few weeks ago I got a new operating system, i.e. mountain lion.
Since the Adeobe suite didn't work properly anymore I deinstalled the whole packe and tried to reinstall it with the old licence number. Unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. What can I do? Thanks very much in advance for your help. ewhat doesn't work? installation? some or all the programs?

If your system generally runs well then it's unlikely that it will be necessary. In any case, it's usually a last resort.
A lot of odd problems can be remedied by repairing your permissions.

Although there's nothing wrong with Adobe Acrobat 7 (to the best of my knowledge) you should be aware that OS X may be using Preview instead unless you've specifically designated Acrobat as the default PDF app. I actually prefer it in most cases.

I have re-installed I-tunes and have a new operating system (Win 7 Pro).
I now cannot sync as I-tunes says my I-Pod is already connected to a library and wants to erase my music on the I-Pod. What do I do to get around this problem?An iPod is designed to be synced with only one computer/iTunes library at a time. If you try to sync the iPod with a new/different iTunes library, iTunes on the new/different computer will replace the contents currently on the iPod with whatever is currently stored in its own library.
If the music and content on your iPod is not in iTunes or in a backup somewhere you can use the information in this user tip from another forum member turingtest2 to help you copy this content from the Nano back to the PC and into iTunes.

After updating my mac to the new operating system I have had several problems. Now my printer program is not working.
Do you have any suggestions?Start by telling us what printer you hope to use.
Look at the printer manufacturers site to see if they have a 10.9 print driver.
Assuming you have tried to delete & re-add the printer it's possible that the model is no longer supported.
You can also try the printing system reset…(I think 10.9 is the same as the Lion instructions).

Problems with New operating system
I am using iphone 4s since i updated new operating system my phone unable to connect wifi autometically becomes very slow not supporting apps and its rebooting autometically.
Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Security Problems with new operating system (5.1)
Using the new operating system you can use the camera when the ipod is locked. When you do this it overides the 4 digit security code giving full access to your ipod without entering the code. Surely this should not happen as the security of your ipod or iphone should not be compromised in this way. It needs a fix. Anyone else noticed this?
Are you sure you are just not trying to access the iPod before the time you set the screen-lock to engage has passed?
If the time period is set for say one minute and then you tell the iPod to sleep, you can still access the camera and then the whole iPod. But you can simply do that anywhap by jus sliging to to unloack. If the time period has not passed you do not need to enter your passcode. Othr users have forgot this and raised the same issue as you. -
Why does the new operating system not delete the moved files from their original locations - it seems like an enormous waste of space, time and effort to clean up every file once you've moved it - also, when transferring large amounts of files it becomes a very large problem remembering which files were transferred and which not.
You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them. -
Error message when updating to new operating system
I just bought the iPhone 4 and it did not have the new operating system. When I try to download it my itunes goes through the whole process and then tells me there was an error and to make sure to check my network settings are correct and my network connection is active. Any ideas??

Try turning off your firewall, something could be blocking it. I also suggest a restart of your computer system, it may fix a few of those pesky bugs. It usually works with my other application problems.

I have a MacBook Air and recently downloaded the new operating system, 10.10 OSX Yosemite. Since that time, I am no longer able to access my personal ITunes library to add music to IPhoto slideshows. I put I tunes library on my desktop, as suggested. How do I drag it to the I Photo slideshow?
That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
