It could be a compatibility issue as well as Acrobat 8 is an older version.
Do you get any error message while registering for the product?
Try repairing it and once and also check for updates as well.
Is it happening with all the word files or any specific one'?

I just recieved my new Macbook Pro in the mail today and downloaded my Lightroom 3 to it, but my NEF files won't show up! Even though iPhoto and Finder seem to read the file just fine.....How can I fix this? I'm new to Mac but not to Apple products. My PC read RAW files in my L3 with no problem, please help!

So, when JimHess asks "What version of Lightroom 3 is actually running on your computer?", your answer of "the older version" doesn't really inform us of the information we need. When we ask for a version, we want the exact version NUMBER, and not a verbal description like "older version".
Anyway, the D7000 was supported beginning with Lightroom 3.3. If your version is not Lightroom 3.3 or greater, then it cannot read D7000 raw files.
You should download Lightroom 3.6 and use that. I'm sure you can use Google to find the proper links to the proper download.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in full screen mode (press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle; Mac: command+Shift+F).
If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key, that should make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
* If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
* If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
* If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

Downloaded and installed Camera Raw 8.7.1 and restarted.

Aperature can't read RAW files from my new Nikon D800. Help?

My Aperature is version 3.2.4 and I have done all the software updates. I shoot in both JPEG and RAW, but aperature can only read the JPEG's. Can anyone help?

The Nikon D800 raw support was included in "digital camera raw update 3.11", and that is the only one that I cannot find online any longer.
The raw support for Nikon D800 has now been moved directly into the latest MacOS X Releases - for MacOS X 10.7 it is built into MacOS X 10.7.4 or later, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4757
and for Mt. Lion it is included in all releases, see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5371
But according to this list: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3825, if you are still using Snow Leopard, you will need the raw support from "digital camera raw update 3.11". What is the latest raw support you installed?

fed up with issues between Apple and Microsoft. My brand new Windows 8.1 notebook (replacing a trusty windows 7 netbook) doesn't allow me to download itunes. Windows 7 managed without problem. have acrobat version 6.1 bought a new computer with windows 8. tried to install but got message there are compatibility issues. Noticed when I push print option dont get the adobe option.

You can try the compatibility setting, but another issue may be if you have a x64 system. AA6 was never designed to work in a 64-bit environment, giving a second level of compatibility to consider. Even on Win7, there were operational issues (like AcroTray not working) and Win8 should just be more of the same and maybe worse. If you can succeed in getting it installed in a compatibility mode, we might then discuss the workarounds you will need. I would strongly recommend you upgrade (well purchase -- too late for the upgrade) to AA XI.

I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 8. Today is the first day I've imade and iTunes purchase.
I'm finished and I want to safely disconnect. My iPod Classic displays "Connected Eject before disconnecting".
I can't find the little "eject" icon in iTunes. Before it was always located upper right on my screen left of the link in the box for "iTunes Store".
I just want to disconnect safely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I getr my CS5 to read RAW files from my new Panosonic DMC FZ200?

My Adobe CS5 can't read RAW files I'm attempting to PP in it from two new cameras. What good is having software that is suppose to be able to read RAW files when it won't for new equipment. Surely it should be able to adapt to newer cameras as they come along.Today I tried downloading a sample RAW file from a online review of the new Canon 5D Mark iii. It starts to open in CS5 but then says it can't read RAW files from this camera either. How do I change that in my Photoshop CS5. I havn't tried it in Elements 10 yet. will it do the same thing and will I need to change the settings there too? I can post process RAW files from my Canon XSi and XTi without any problem.

FYI, Adobe is constantly supporting new cameras with new versions of Camera Raw.

But you must upgrade your version of Photoshop in order to run the latest versions of Camera Raw to read Raw files from the latest released camera models. Or join the Cloud and you can keep your software current at all times as part of your membership.

I solved the problem! The updates orignally were downloaded to the C: drive of the server. I've since moved them to the E: drive and for some reason the Content folder in IIS didn't change the file path to the new WSUScontent folder.
The root cause for this was failing to use the UTILITY designed for this very purpose.
I edited the virtual directory settings in IIS and was able to put the correct path in.
You still need to use the UTILITY.. to fix all the other stuff you're still missing.
In the %ProgramFiles%\Update Services\Tools folder...
WSUSUTIL MOVECONTENT E:\WSUS E:\WSUS\MoveContent.LOG -SKIPCOPY
This problem was caused by moving the WSUS updates to a different local drive.

Thanks but I already did read all of the help notes, which aren't very helpful for this. I did find out the problem- Apple.....they evidently changed one of the major upsides to their old software- being able to back up your entire library onto dvd's- so you can longer do that or restore from the dvds created from older versions of itunes. I suspect greed is at play in that Apple now wants you to pay $24.95 per year to use a "cloud" service where they back it up for you. I can buy a lifetime supply of back up dvds for one year's worth of cloud. So I am now looking into other music software as I am Appled-out. There is no reason for them to take away the back up portion of the software other than to sell you thrir cloud service. As we have already given them a ton of money for 5 Ipods and a bunch of music, I think we have contributed enough. Time to look to solutions outside of the Apple money tree. But thank you for reading and replying.

I'm having the same problem. I had previously downloaded an earlier version but it's apparently too old to allow me to activate my new iPhone. I tried disabling Download Manager (holding down the shift key); it was disabled but I still got the immediate "Thank You" without the new version being downloaded. Any suggestions?
