my phone lost my music when iTunes was update. it only has u2 now. help!

You should have been sycning them with your computer all along. Sync them from your computer back to the iphone.

Installed itunes on new pc/lost downloaded music
I recently installed itunes on a laptop, I purchased a few songs, however, the laptop died on me yesterday.Needkess to say I lost the few songs I purchased.
I was given a new replacement laptop today, installed itunes once again and of course I am unable to find the music I downloaded, are they lost forever and shall I have to re-purchase them?

Will installing new software erase my music?
I just got the gen5 video ipod.
I already have itunes but when the cd is installing whatever it says its going to uninstall what i already have. Does that mean all my music is gonna go with it?? Is that the only way to connect the my ipod with my comp???? help??
Is this to vague??When you update iTunes, it should bring your existing library into the new installation. If you have the room and want to be safe, make a COPY of the iTunes folder with a different name then do the install. If for some odd reason it did delete all the files from the library folders, it will do it on the main iTunes music folder, not the backup copy you made, so you would be able to recover. But I don't think you need worry.

Please help me!i would like very much to watch online movies via youtube but i cant,when i search for new software updates on my phone,it says no new software update available.what should i do,i once updated a new software of xpress music on my nokia and i was surely watching movies on youtube before it was attacked by some viruses,when i flashed it,it came to its original software and now i am unable to watch online movies!please help me what should i do to enable video streaming on my phone?
The Nokia 111 is unfortunately not capable of playing streaming video from the web, so it will not play YouTube videos.
If your phone reports no available software then it means that you already have the latest version. Series 40 phones like these have a simple Java-based operating system into which changes cannot be made without the user's explicite consent, and so they are not subsceptible to viruses

I have updated my iPhone 3Gs to the latest software in an attempt to iron out a problem with a new telephone network provider (Tmobile). I had backed up my phone before I did this. Now I have lost my music and apps. I can't sync the phone with my Mac, I can't re-download from iTunes as the phone says I don't have any music or apps available to re-download although it all shows up on my Mac. The music and app content cannot be restored when I try to restore the phone from the back up I madeon my Mac. Help!
Working on that now. I'm just getting frustrated that everytime I run updates for the phone I end up with tech problems that I have to spend time solving as opposed to updates that actually improve my usage. Now I will once again get to spend hours reloading my phone all for updates that didn't affect my usage in the first place.

i have just updated to the newest version of ipod softare, the ipod intalled new software but now all the music and videos on it will not play, how do i fix this
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and videos and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your iphone, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.

Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your device got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.

Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
Apps can be downloaded again for free, in the US music as well. Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

Does anyone know how to enable editing on a new computer? I only have an 8gb phone and over 4gbs of music, half of which I don't even listen to anymore. I really want it off my phone, but when I plugged it into my new macbook nothing would delete. My old computer barely turns on so I can't even plug it into the old one to delete anything. I hit the sync button on the new computer and that didn't help either. I'd really like to upgrade to the new software but don't have the room on my phone until this music/a few apps are deleted. Any help would be appreciated!!
Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing. The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as). The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue). However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens. It will not change to highlight that user.

My computer crashed and I lost my music. I have a windows7 now but when I try to connect my nano to it I get message saying it is connected to another libary. I don't want to lose the music on the nano. How can I set it up to a new itune library and start collecting my music again?

I just updated my iTunes to the new software. When I plugged it into my computer and it said I need to reset my iPod. I did this and everything on my iPod deleted. Now, it won't let me sync my music or apps back onto my iPod. What do I do?
It doesn't say anything. It runs through the sync process like normal and tells me all of the songs that it's synking. But then when it says I can disconnect it, nothing actually synked.
