Why there is no MBAM product at Connect Microsoft Portal? I´m not so interested into login some 3rd party partner site just because of providing feedback for MS. Isn´t MBAM important service for MS, that you don´t added it to your regular feedback site?
Hope you take this feedback forward. I would also like to submit, that 2.5 verson has some lacks when controlling Windows to Go aka USB stick encryption. I would love to see MBAM Client to take full control of it, not OS.

  • "Setup has found a newer version of Creative Console Launcher on your system. Setup will now exit"

    This is the error message I get every time I try to install the Creative Console Launcher version 2.61.35 for my Creative X-Fi Titanium.
    I have uninstalled EVERYTHING, multiple times. All Creative applications, drivers, etc. Restarted in safe mode, ran driversweeper, restarted and re-installed.. No dice.
    I even downloaded CCleaner and had it nuke my registry in case it detected some files that might be causing problems.
    The weird thing is that I don't know how it is detecting a newer version of the launcher. The reason being is because the only launcher I ever installed was the one that came on the physical CD with my soundcard. The only other things I have downloaded and installed were:
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Driver 2.17.0008
    DTS Connect Pack 1.03.08
    Dolby Digital Live Pack 3.00.06
    I also downloaded and ran the registry fixes that supposedly corrects the audio stuttering when DDL is enabled (I have experienced a lot of crackling/popping in Aliens Vs. Predators).
    Anyways, I can apparently access the control panel just fine, but I like the launcher, and it's frustrating not being able to install it. This all started when I wanted to upgrade my driver, so I uninstalled everything before I upgraded, then when I went to reinstall the launcher, I got that message.
    Help?

    Why wouldn't the software be installed correctly? I double-click on the installer .exe file and follow the instructions. If it doesn't work, fire whoever coded it!
    More seriously, these problems are all caused by Creative's ignorant policies on their software installation restrictions. I mean it's Creative Recorder, not ?2000 worth of software here - why so bloody protecti've about which PC it will install on for God's sake?
    Example algorithm for installation limited to Creative cards only: Check SBLi've! installed. Check Creative Recorder existing install. If existing, check version, and update. If not existing, install full version. Exit. Happy customer.
    Creative seem unable to follow the above logic. 666% Ignorant. I won't be buying them again.
    All the clean install instructions I have read on this site are FLAWED. They either a)require the original CD (WHY?! it's for Windows XP, wasn't even OUT when the CD was made!), and/or b)are riddled with mistakes/generalisations about what should work.
    What I'm not seeing here is the truth - Creative make flaky software as their hardware is too good for you to want to upgrade, so this poor software CONS you into thinking you need new hardware. Nice one, waste the planet some more for no help to the consumer. Evil.

    Well, I've been using LR 1.1 for a couple of weeks now, and overall, I love it.
    Having said that, I think LR has room for improvement, especially when compared to something like Lightcraft's LightZone.
    # In particular: 'Default' settings for Identity Plates - At the moment, I have to re-edit the IP every time I create a new catalog
    - In fact, why can't I create Catalog 'templates'? This would be nice for collections, defaults, etc depending on the job I'm doing
    # 'Localized' edits - Lightzone has a cool 'Regions' feature that allows me to selectively apply adjustments to a given region (in fact, so does Capture NX)
    - These regions are specific to the tool (i.e. layer), but I think there is probably a more elegant solution to this
    - In particular, LZ is S-L-O-W compared to LR ... this is probably because they wrote it in Java. On my 2Gb 1.7Ghz, it runs like a DOG, but LR zips along very nicely
    - In particular, a variation on Nikon's uPoint technology (since they patented it and all, I don't imagine Adobe will 'pony up' for a license) - very nice
    # Command-line support / scripting - Why can't I start LR from a script or set defaults, etc using LUA?
    # Edit a LAYERED photoshop document - Why doesn't LR let me edit in photoshop with the original image underneath the LR adjusted one?
    - This makes it impossible to use the LR black & white tools (say) and 'hand colour' the image without significant workflow interruption
    # File / directory naming - Why can't I use replacement tags to name my directories?
    - Why can't I create an individual SESSION-BASED Import number (i.e. to record each card for a given job)?
    - This needs to be much more flexible than it is already
    That's about it, I think (at this stage, I guess - give me a few more weeks with it). All of these things would really help to make the workflow much more seamless and efficient, IMMHO.
    With all that said, the speed and efficiency of editing with LR is lovely. I'm very happy with the breadth and depth of the tool, I just hope that 2.0 takes into account all of the above.
    Oh, one more thing:
    # Why do the stacking options not work in collections?! - It took me AGES to figure this out, and it's so non-intuitive
    K, so ONE more thing ...
    Wouldn't it be nice if we could select multiple images in a stack and export them to a LAYERED PSD as individual layers?
    Imagine the possibilities of blending various develop presets selectively with masks ...
    Right now, there's no easy way to do this. :(

    Localised or targeted editing along with some kind of 3rd party plug-in structure is pretty much the holy-grail next step for Lr in my eyes.
    If it can be successfully implemented then I'd waste less time nipping back and forth between Lr and other apps. And I REALLY would like Lr to become my one-stop photography work-flow solution.
    I'd also be very keen to see some commercially developed pre-sets for the web and slide modules. I'm hopeless at that sort of development, but would happily pay for some high quality solutions.
    Lastly - in the print module I'd find it very helpful if I could drag and drop photos to any grid cells I have set up. once there, dragging them around to rearrange them would also be a very nice addition.
    I'll add my voice to the praise - V1.1 is a very elegant way of working for me and I really enjoy the interface. Lastly, Lr hasn't crashed on me since the 1.1 upgrade.

  • Export Post-Processing Feature Request

    Using a post-processing action such as a Photoshop droplet in an export is limited by the command line length which must be sent to the application (Photoshop in this case). This means that exporting a few files will work ok with the action but exporting hundreds of files will not - they export ok but the action is not executed.
    Can the way the post-processing action is executed be modified so that smaller batches of files are processed instead of one very large batch at the end? Either have a mechanism which builds maximum length command lines OR a "batch size" parameter so that, for example, several hundred files are processed on lots of, say, 10?

    Ian Lyons is one of the few kind souls who has the power to do that, but I am pretty sure there are current workarounds, short of buying a Mac! I don't do Windows, but check back as many others do and some will have suggestions.

  • Your feature requests for next version?

    I have submitted mine on the feedback page, but I would love to know what you all want the next version to include in terms of improvements and additional features.
    In short, my prefered additions would include:
    -Stack/collapse all in one keystroke
    -More adjustments (among them lens distortion and CA correction)
    -Speeeed
    -Panorama stitching
    -Networking, being able to share images

    I like and use Aperture a lot, but realistically is still a v1 program. So I am looking forward to v2. Here's my wish list ....
    1. Plug In suppport - Nik plug-in's etc.
    2. iLife suite integration without duplicating photos or relying on Automator
    3. Integration to FCP suite ..... since the photos are in a package!
    4. Ability to use Spotlight external to the package ... or get rid of the package and just move to either file/folder structure or go to an indexed "RDBMS" database (yes, holy wars on this one, I know)
    5. Burn archive of import, as a workflow element.
    Multiple aperture libraries selectable from the File dialog vs. preference and then quit/launch
    6. Span aperure library across drives
    7 Standard max/min/lozenge buttons on windows and fonts that an over 50 year old can read .... or adjust .... on today's 23" or 30" high res. displays.
    8. oh, and did somebody say .....
    S-P-E-E-D?

    9. ....but at least give us progress bars when say, moving photos from project to project
    10. Undo on deleting a project .... you're into re-importing from the Mac trash can after figuring out which photo you need (yup, I have the scars and wasted time award)

    Either give us full line camera RAW support, or DNG linear support, or a plug in capability.
    12. Overlay one photo on another in book view (tools to increase transparency/reduce saturation on the background photo to create a sense/theme)

    13. Loupe tool that will stay over the photo while I use the mouse to alter tool settings

  • Q: How to Search / Post Enhancement / feature requests?

    I read Sue Harper's note, went to site, could not figure out how to search to see if what I wanted was already there or not ... did not want to wade thru lots of stuff (all good, I'm sure).
    Here's what I'd like ...
    When I click "Dependencies" on a table, I'd like to see where it is ref'd as a Foreign Key.
    When I look at constraints and Foreign Keys, and right click a table there, I'd like a "Go To [table]" as per other spots where the Go To functionality is offered.
    Packages have Dependencies and References ... but I guess I'm not clear what is different.
    Called by? Called From? Uses? Is Used By?
    Or ... could tables and views have References also (meaning, who has called / used me?)
    Finally, with regard to references, it would ALSO be useful to simply know where an object's name was mentioned ... in case it is embedded (however rightly or wrongly, Tom Kyte!) ... in dynamic SQL somewheres ... e.g., these two queries are REALLY handy ...

    Yes, you can still vote on Accepted. (You can even vote for "Scheduled for release...", because sometimes we need to move features from one release to the next)
    Accepted means that it sounds feasible to do and we can do it, but "when" has not been established. Please add votes to help that decision.
    Rejected Just that, we have no plans to do this. I don't revisit rejected on the Exchange.
    (However, some features that have been rejected have been discussed on the forum and we've reconsidered. We have also changed "rejected" to "accepted" on previous occasions, but only based on discussions here. Some features rejected have very poor explanations as to the problem users are trying to solve)
    Open We haven't read them or made any decision on them.
    Awaiting Community Votes means just that. Someone has proposed a feature and no-one else seems to be interested.With the long list of features, we do need to prioritize and some features requested are obscure, so we want more feedback from the community. More votes and feedback from the community helps. We sometimes get 10 points from some folk and zero from others for the same feature.
    Please note that except for the Open features, the others we have touched and added feedback.
    Problems I have with the feature requests is lack of clarity in the request and more than one request described in a single request. The extra features get lost and others can't vote on them.

  • Posting Feature Requests for others to Copy/Paste

    I recently posted a Feature Request I sent to Adobe for another member to copy/paste as his own FR since he liked the suggestion (see the FR below). 
    After doing so, I got the idea that we could all do this: copy/paste FRs we send to Adobe into threads on this forum to help each other support the idea with similar requests, or even copy/paste the FR as our own.  With limited resources and time, there's only so many requests Adobe can implement in every new version.   That why it's so important that new features the Premiere Pro team invests their hard work and time on be the tools that would benefit the greatest number of editors.  The more people back up certain ideas, the more likely they'll be implemented sooner than later.
    There's power in numbers, so how about using this forum to share our best ideas and make it easier for others to add their voice of support?  It's great that Adobe provides us with a way to send them feedback, but it's too bad that it's a one-way conversation with very little, if any, dialogue back and forth between the submitter and Adobe.  That's why I thought it would be great to bring more of that potential dialogue here, where we can share ideas and support the creation of an ever better Premiere Pro!

    Ability to Drag&Drop clips with effects, motion settings, keyframes and/or markers back into the Project Window from the Timeline for later use.
    Why is this feature important to you?
    The Project Window is far better than Sequences for storing/organizing modified clips for future use, since it is:
    Searchable
    Sortable
    Viewable in Icon and List views
    Full of helpful metadata columns such as 'Video/Audio Usage'
    Foolproof in that the original sequence can be deleted without losing any created subclips
    Given these advantages, why only allow us to store modified clips in Sequences? Please fix this by allowing users to Drag&Drop clips from the Timeline to the Project Window while preserving all of their modifications (effects, keyframes, motion settings and/or markers).

    Comments?  Ideas?  Please share!
    As it has already been discussed in this thread (and duplicated threads are not allowed in Adobe Forums), the aforementioned feature request is mainly based on the false statement that an editor can either store raw clips in the Project panel or modified clip in the timeline. That's false because an editor can nest modified clip right in the timeline and the nested sequence will be automatically stored in the Project panel, turning into a regular reusable asset.
    Unfortunately, the OP, as was also outlined in the duplicated thread, carefully avoids any mentioning this ability, which becomes your second nature if you use After Effects (which is unlike FCP is a part of Adobe Suite).
    However, since the OP asks for sharing ideas, I do not hesitate to do this once again. Here is the feature request intended to improve the usability of such PrPro assets as 'Sequences' without breaking existing workflow:

    It would be nice if managing capabilities for such assets as 'Sequences' were extended with the following features:
    - similar live thumbnail view, which was introduced for footages in CS6. A small 'Sequence' badge in the top left corner of the thumbnail would allow to differentiate between sequences and clips;
    - enabled metadata and ability to handle them like for any other regular asset;
    - ability to remove empty audio or video tracks completely, i.e. get a sequence as an Audio or Video asset only;
    - pop-up dialog box on hitting 'Nest' command, which would allow to give meaning name instead of default 'Nested Sequence XXX', contain 'Delete All Empty Tracks' checkbox and a button for advanced dialog for logging metadata right on a brand new asset creation.
    These features would improve an ability to exploit sequences as reusable assets and preserve consistent applications behaviour throughout the Suite instead of breaking existing workflow by inventing new FCP style 'subclip with effects' type of asset.   • Feature request...where to post them?

    Hi everyone!
    I have seen a friend's iPhone (which was jailbroken), which had the ability of turn-down-to-mute (when the iPhone is ringing, you turn it facing down, and it mutes automatically). It was some app named mcool iphone or something like that.
    I'm not on a jailbroken iPhone, my question is when can Apple implement this feature, so we won't have to illegally hack our phones to get this cool feature?
    Older nokias (like 8800 arte) already support this thing...
    Where can we post a feature request to apple?

    The installing groups is actually already implemented in the beta of 2.6, which is in ftp.archlinux.org/other/pacman
    From the ChangeLog itself:
    Added group handling, so one can run 'pacman -S kde' and
                    install all files from the KDE group
    Not sure about the other things though, those sound like some very good ideas that should be considered and hopefully they aren't too hard to implement.

    Hey I like your web site, generally speaking. My suggestions would be more in the arena of spacing of text. I find, as a designer, that the more 'air' I put between text lines the better it is for the eyeballs. The tighter the text lines are, the less likely are people going to read your message. That was my initial impression, at least. You'll see; if you simply spread the text a bit -- add space between the lines, you'll notice an immediate improvement in the 'feel' of the page.

  • I am not getting the site launcher that is compatible with firefox 5, so by when it will be launched?

    i am using firefox 5, it is very good but it has compatibility problem with site launcher, mean the site launcher for ff5 is not available. I have downloaded the site launcher 1.6.4 and installed it but it is not accepting any shortcut and it is not triggered when ctrl+shift combinations.
    so by when it's latest version will be out for use or launched.

    I was wondering if it was the sites use of [http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3868299/is-autocomplete-off-compatible-with-all-modern-browsers/21348793#21348793 autocomplete-off] but that changes with Fx30 (already changed in pre-release) and already differs in some other browsers and you continue to have the problem with other browsers.
    I need to be clear exactly what you do and see. It would also help to know what the site is, although unless it is public and free it probably can not be tested by others, but it does at least enable a search to be made for reports of the problem.
    Can you list exactly the steps you take and what you expect to see or happen compared with what does or does not happen.
    If this does hinge on how a particular individual site behaves it is not actually a Firefox problem and although someone may provide an answer it may be better asking somewhere else such as

    Have you ruled out that other security related software could be interfering, and if this is a problem at work have you asked your IT department.

    I have been having some problems with workflows that I was trying to create, and when trying to fix that, I think I created a new problem.  I know that the feature {6c09612b-46af-4b2f-8dfc-59185c962a29} has to do with a collect signatures workflow,
    but I see that in other team sites and did not turn it off anywhere else. 
    Anyone have any ideas to shoot my way?

    Yes the feature {6c09612b-46af-4b2f-8dfc-59185c962a29} is the SignaturesWorkflow.
    From the error message it looks like your Site Template has been saved with this feature activated, and you are trying to create the web in a site collection where the feature is not active.
    This usually happens when people try to move site templates between environments or between site collections that are configured differently.
    You could fix this problem a few ways:
     - Enable the feature in the site collection via the UI or via PowerShell.
    get-spfeature | ?{$_.ID -eq "6c09612b-46af-4b2f-8dfc-59185c962a29"} | Enable-SPFeature -URL http://somesite
     - Go back to the location where the site template was created, deactivate the feature and re-create the site template.
     - Acknowledge that you site template is the problem and switch back to the default "Project Site Template" for creating project workspace sites.

    I have unchecked the "Report Option -> Save Data with Reports". So that the report could not take extra space.

    4. Show Preview Panel
    5. Display Alerts on Refresh
    6. Select Distinct Data for Browsing
    Do I have check or uncheck any other option?

    This code I have got from a sample of the forum itself.
    Sir, after all these effort and the unchecking of option "Save Data with Report" on calling the reports from my forms it is showing blank report. No data from the database is coming form the database.
    I have uncheked the option "Save Data with Reports" to get the updated data each time the report has been called but now the status is that nothing is coming.
    Thanks again for you precious and valuable effort to help me but the my problem is unsolved, So sir please if you could put an eye on it and help me out to get rid of this problem, I will be very thankful to you for your kind help.
