New updates not installing on Pearl 8130

I have Pearl 8130 and when i open the destop software it looks for updates.  It finds 3 updates but doesn't install them.  How do i get it to either stop bringing up the same updates or install them?
The 3 are Crypto 1 Library, Crypto Application API Library, and Secure Email Library.

Then ignore it. I had to do the same with about three language updates for a few months that it kept asking me to update.

Now what?

Unless you've recently attempted to downgrade iTunes this is probably a sign of a corrupt library file. See Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash.

  • Windows Updater Not Installing and Troubleshooter Wizard Is Not Working???

I am in need help desperately!
I have tried to install the Windows 7 latest update since late October 2014 and every time that I have tried it has failed, this is messing with certain programs to either not run such as my Troubleshooter,
leaving me unable to fix the issue, and making my computer to run poorly as well as when I am on Firefox unable to load pages, do downloads, watch movies & TV, or watch videos on You Tube without having to move the mouse around to keep it running and just
freeze the picture on the You Tube and Xfinity but the sound keeps playing though. I am unable to run the Troubleshooter Wizard at all; gives me an error code  0x80131018. I have gone to the forums to find a solution I tried everything possible. Such
as trying to do all the maintenance; disc clean ups, compressing files to save on space, checking the disc drives for errors, defragmenting the drives, try to use the Fix It (MicrosoftFixit.malware.RNP.1343648269423620.1.1.Run,  as well as: MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall.RNP.1343648269423620.2.1.Run,
as well as:  MicrosoftFixit.wu.FISC.1341772369343897.1.1.Run,   and:  MicrosoftFixit50123) all the these would not help.
I also tried to run what information I received from viewing options from the Error Code 0x80131018 and all the HP Support Assistant and Windows Help and Support. These are some of them;  SCUDownloader,
    Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64,   HPSupportSolutionsFramework-en-11.51.0048,   HPSupportSolutionsFramework-11.51.0048,   HP CoolSense Technology - sp65424,   HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors) - sp55068,
HP Power Manager Utility Software - sp55151,   HP On-Screen Display Utility - sp55152,   HP System Diagnostics UEFI - sp52407, and    Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver - sp55101. All these with running the maintenance,
I also installed Boost, also ran the scans through my Norton Security, and so much more to try and fix this problem, I just can't remember everything that I tried I have been working so hard at solving this problem since of the effect of how this Windows Updater
failing at updating and Troubleshooter not working to leaving me unable to find and fix these issues.
I am a Graphic Design Artist and I am pretty computer savvy but I am at a loss on this . If anyone has any advise on these issues please help me ASAP, I use my HP everyday and it is important for
me to have it for work purposes, concepts and so much more. My Mother got this computer for me when I graduated from college in 2012 for my graduation gift so I can do what I do.
Thank you so much for your help in trying to get this resolved without having to take it into somewhere and pay $$ that I do not have.

I recently had a similar problem - Windows 7 Ultimate. Apart from updates not installing and troubleshooters not running I started getting crashes and BSOD's
I checked that my Cryptographic services was set to auto (it was)
Press the 'Windows key" and and key "R" together   to launch the  RUN  box. Type
services.msc in the box and press Enter. It'll open Services Manager.
Scroll down to  "Cryptographic Services" in the list. It should be set to Auto ( mine was)
I then checked my Windows updates to see when the problem started
Taking the bull by the horns I deleted the last 20 updates installed.
I restarted the computer and was amazed to find the troubleshooters working ok
I downloaded the Windows updates and installed them 5 at a time checking the troubleshooter after each batch. Everything was ok .
I can only assume the troublesome update was not re-offered or the one that installed itself was corrupt.

  • EAS Updater Not Installing

Anyone encountered EAS Updater not installing properly.  In the documentation to verify In VersaMail, press Menu . From the Options menu, select Preferences, then select AutoSync. There is now an option for "As items arrive."  I don't see this on the Treo.  Any ideas?
    Post relates to: None

I've heard about several different versions of VersaMail (e.g., 3.0/3.1 on the Treo 650; 3.5 update; 4.0 on the Centro). You might check and see whether you have the correct installation instructions for your version.

  • System updates not installed/downloaded

I noticed in the ThinkVantage Systemupdate history several Windows 7 updates that did not install or download, but I am not able to select them from the history to try again. Why do Windows updates not install and hoew can I move the failed installations back into the upgrade list?

It is possible that in the meantime, Windows Update downloaded and installed the same updates, which would cause TVSU to not detect it as there is no need. Check in the Windows Update history for the same updates.

  • Bootcamp 3.1 and imac windows 7 64bit update not installing. Audio issues!

After many days of work getting the windows 7 working in bootcamp in my imac 27 (still with audio issues) I eagerly awaited the bootcamp update and imac updates.
    Neither will install.
Then I find that according to tech support as of now I have to reinstall Windows 7 again for the updates to work!
It took me 5 full 8 hours days to get all my scientific programs installed and working, now I find I can't even simply update the drivers I need. I don't want to reinstall.
    My only issues are audio.
    Here they are:
    1) The headset jack works fine on the Mac side, but in Windows 7, it causes the i7 intel CPU to go crazy. There is no CPU spike on the mac side.
    2) The headset jack in the imac is a trrs jack. The same as in the iphone, a tri-band jack that has three bands, two audio out channels and one mic in channel. A trrs headset works fine on the mac side with using the headset mic (as in iphone) rather than the built in mic. (this provides much better quality for sound recording). I don't want to use a usb mike.
In Windows 7 the mic part of the trrs headset does not work.
    3) In Windows 7 when going into audio devices recording, no audio mixer shows up, so when I do video or audio screen capture the only way to capture the sound is through the speakers and then back through the imac built in mic, rather than directly through the unit. (terrible sound quality) On the mac side the mixer element works fine.
Now I find from other imac users that even the new updates for the imac on windows 7 don't address and fix the audio issues. I am sure not going to go through 5 more days work only to find the audio issues still don't work.
I need these audio aspects to work properly though!
I have tried to get drivers for the cirrus logic audio card, but guess what there are none available and cirrus logic doesn't even recognize the board or offer drivers.
I have many windows programs I must have for my scientific research!I bought the top of the line Imac with all the bells and whistles because Apple promised that the machine could run Windows 7 in bootcamp natively!
It doesn't. This has been a nightmare of problems.
Is Apple going to step up to the plate and make good on their promises?
Does any one have a fix for any of the audio issues, or know how to install the new drivers without a complete reinstall of Windows?
Installing a few sound drivers and software should not require a complete reinstall. Getting the proper drivers for the headset jack audio in and audio out jack should be the most basic of fixes. Making the audio mixer work should be elementary.
If you are an Apple tech person or an Apple user that can help on these issues, please do!
    Thanks, Dr. Duke
    An American profesor in Europe.
PS I will post this under Imac windows 7 updates without a reinstall and under
    imac Sound issues.

On another thread a few people have responded saying that their imac has the same situation, the cpu is going crazy and the imac gets hot with headphones or speakers plugged in. But this doesn't happen in the mac side.
If you have an late 2009 imac and don't have these audio issues, let us hear from you. If you don't, lay out the problem here.
Here is my last two cents in to the inquiry.
Not only does the cpu run crazy but the imac 27 gets very, very hot. Since I unplugged the headphones, it runs much, much cooler.
Certainly, some Mac engineers should take care of this problem, it seems it is universal on all the imac 27's and from what I gather, the smaller screened cousins too.
Also, we certainly want a stereo mix option for audio in or out, or what is called "what you hear" or wave out. Imac is supposed to be much geared to multimedia apps.
Finally, the mic jack part of the trrs set up MUST be fixed! A lot of manufacturers are going to headset combo jacks as they call them, mic in and stereo out on the same tribanded plug. But, the old single jack for mic in and single jack for stereo out are two tiny parts of the hardware and super inexpensive for the manufacturer. Why in the **** to go to the "advanced" triplug if the **** thing doesn't work.
Mac has a great reputation. I hope they remedy these problems right away.
Anyone whose imac 27 or 24 whose headset plug is working correctly. Let us know! I don't think anyone's is, but I think that few people understand that their cpu is running so much faster with the plug in, plus few even understand the combo jack and the triband, or trrs audio jack! Out of 4 audio technicians I talked to, not one of them knew what a trrs jack was or that you even have a mic in jack as part of the headset jack!
When I told one senior that it worked on the Mac side, he didn't believe for a while, thought my sound might be recorded from the onboard mic, but I proved it to him by tapping iaudibly on my iphone mic headset and and it showing up in garage band clearly and listening to big difference in audio.
As for a usb audio adapter, I am in a neon light environment and find that those adapters are more sensitive to electrical interference. Besides I want to use the headset jack as it was meant to be used!
    Thats it.
Again, if anyone using an imac 27 and windows 7 64 or 32 doesnt have these problems, let us know! We are all anxious for a fix!
    Best to all!

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 - file updates not installing on Win 7 Professional

How do I install MSP file updates to Adobe Acrobat after downloading them? I have just installed Acrobat 8.0 from the original installation CD on a new PC running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) and have downloaded the update to 8.1.0 to begin with, but on clicking it get the error messsage 'This patch could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package'. Updater is not working at all. It says it cannot find any updates. Even when I place the MSP file in the Updater folder to which it is supposed to download updates, it does not find updates. What is wrong? Why won't this patch install? Thank you! I really don't want to be stuck with 8.0.0 when I know that years of updates through to 8.3.1 are available, but for some reason they will not install intuitively.

    Hi ,
Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Win 7. Please find the mentioned Kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html#main_System_requirements_for_Acrobat_8_Pro showing system requirement for installing Acrobat 8. As Acrobat version 8 is very old product so I would recommend you to purchase Acrobat11 which has more enhanced features and functionalities.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 - Updates not installing

    Hi all,
I have a SCCM 2012 R2 setup at a customer which has problems with distributing updates to the Windows 7 computers in the environment. The update group (with updates that are 100% sure required) is deployed to some test computers but the updates don't get
installed. It is also configured to be able to install the updates without looking at any maintenance windows.  I see in the reporting that the updates are required, so in my opinion they should get installed.
I've checked the registry and the Windows Updates registry keys are pointing towards the right server (my SCCM primary site server). I've created a new software update group with fewer updates, same problem.
What I find in the UpdatesDeployment.log on one of the test machines is rather strange:

And the Malicious Software Removal Tool Windows 8 and 8.1 for February 2015
All show up in Windows Update but won't install because it says they are Not Needed.
    Are there any know fixes?

I, too have the same problem with Windows 8.1, only it's 12 updates, not 11.
The following will not install (It says they were installed.  It also says they were "not needed")
Security Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3023562)
Security Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB3029944)

The update settings were set to automatically install, but I changed them to download automatically and install manually, and deleted the SoftwareDistrubution/Download folder contents to re-download the updates.
    They don't re-download.
The log says the last updates were installed 1/24/2015 (which should be correct), and no new updates have been installed for this cycle.
Windows Update is running correctly.  This is the only Win 8.1 machine in the network with this issue (Mixed OS network with about 8 Win 8.1 machines).  All other Win 8 machines have installed THESE UPDATES successfully.  There are no known
    differences in configuration between them.
    Thoughts to fix this?

  • New updater wont install

so, im having problems with the 2006-01-10 like many people. ive tried everything i can and everything on this website that was suggested. im trying to get rid of all ipod and itunes software, and i think i did. however everytime i try to install the 2005-11-17 updater, it installs the 2006-01-10 updater instead. i know that this updater isnt installed anywhere on my computer, and i dont even have itunes anymore. this problem has been going on for a while, is apple even acknowledging this as a problem? if so, will there be a new update to correct there problems? is there any hope of saving my ipod, can anyone help me?!?!

Just to add to the advice already given:
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash
(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
Note that Adobe requires you to uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_14157
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • WSUS Updates Not Installing

    Hello -
I currently manage WSUS in an environment with over 8K+ client machines.  For grins, I went directly to Microsoft's website and performed a manual update to ensure that the updates that I am approving/releasing
into my environment are being properly deployed.  To my surprise, several updates that I've previously released are still showing up on my pc as being needed!?  One of the updates in question, KB2840628, is showing as "needed" but when
I access my WSUS console, I can clearly see that this update was approved when it was initially released back in August 2013.  I ran a status report  on this particular update and it shows as being installed onto my pc but after accessing add/remove
programs, I do not see this as being the case.  I've listed the other updates that seem to be exhibiting the same behavior below and since these updates apply to my Windows 7 machine, my fear is that there are also XP updates that are also not being installed:
    KB2835393 released 7/9/13
    KB2898785 released 12/10/13
    Background information:
    Windows Server 2003 SP2

Under Products & Classifications I have the following options selected:
    Products:  All

Any information that can be provided to help me resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

KB2840628 and KB2835393. If new update has been installed, decline the old ones.

  • Creating a fully updated wim manually, updates not installing

I have read just about every article about this the last few days and still cant find a good answer/solution. Basically what I need, it to manually put all Windows 7 updates in the packages folder to install during the build process. I have all the files
in .cab that get imported, but it seems like all of them never install. Example, I have 117 cab files, but only 60 updates install? Any idea why? Its not giving me any kind of error or anything either.
    Thanks!

This question has been asked before; I'm interested to see what others find from their experience. In the meantime here's some reasons:
Sometimes some offline updates get superseded by newer updates.
Some updates have to be installed exclusively.
Some updates can't be installed offline. To test this look in the cbs_unattend.log
    for [HRESULT = 0x800f082e - CBS_E_NOT_ALLOWED_OFFLINE]
Some updates are funny and have to go in a certain order so I would check for the order that they are installing when online.
There's a great resource for windows setup logs here.

  • XP Updates not installing

I have tried to install the XP update automatically, but one is not installing and it is stopping the Que.  does anyone know what I have to do the clear the update que in XP?  Thanks John C

Now that is a new one for  me. That tool should have cleared that one out too.
I have had systems with 20 to 80 updates waiting, and all cleared out.
If you have not tried it yet, jump over to microshaft update, and get the updates via the web, do the custom... See if that clears your local que.

  • T400 updates not installing through SU

    Happened yesterday.
    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Found 2 new updates through SU, being KB974476 and KB975741. But neither can be installed and when manunally installing, got message ".. not compatible".
    Any help is appreciated.

Yes, i had that as well (t400s/win7 64bits). I ignored them. Btw i found it wierd that Lenovo System Update also did somethimg with M$ updates. I thought SU was only dealing with Lenovo software but apparently when they need certain M$ patches they install them as well? A little bit questionable. I prefer to let Windows Update dela with M$ updates and Lenovo SU with Lenovo/Thinkvantage updates. Oh well.

  • Updates not installed on client computer

Hi, I have become regular on this forum. I simply follow along what other people have done (books, videos) but it does not work for me. I added WSUS role to my SCCM server, then installed Software Update Point role, configured all necessary settings
and started Synchronize Software Updates process (security, critical and definition updates only for Windows 7). I checked log
wsyncmgr and I found line: sync: SMS synchronizing updates, processed 829 out of 829 items (100 %)
Next, I created Software Update Group with only no-expired, no-superseded updates as members and as final step I deployed this group to test collection with only one Windows 7 machine as a member. Updating process should
have started very soon (both Software available time and installation deadling have been set to
As soon as possible) but whole night have passed and I saw this morning that nothing happened on client machine. Since this client computer has been installed last week
automatic updates was turned off so I turned it on - I do not know whether it is necessary since in logs communication between client and SCCM has been successfully established even before I did this. I went to Control Panel - Windows
Update and saw Windows is up to date but in the list of installed updates there are no updates synchronized on SCCM (I was looking for updates based on KB). Also I can change settings for update process - it is not grayed-out as it used to be with "normal"
    WSUS server.

I found what happened. I was right that only "old" updates were filtered out (I do not know why SCCM did not include newer updates too since I filtered out updates which were not superseded, not expired, for product Windows
7 and bulletin ID contained MS) - having been filtered out I put them into new software update group and deployed group to a collection. I run
machine policy retrieval & evaluation cycle, software updates deployment evaluation cycle and software updates scan cycle on clients but nothing happened.
I run filter on all software updates again (the same criteria as before) and there were much more updates meeting criteria - I downloaded them into existing package and later added them into existing software update group where these "old" updates
were. I run machine policy retrieval & evaluation cycle, software updates deployment evaluation cycle and software updates scan cycle on clients and update process started. Having finished updating, I restarted clients and in
Control Panel - Windows Update all installed updates were there and their KBs were correct.
If update settings in CP can be changed but it does not affect update process (it is controlled by SCCM client agent) I am fine with that. Also one thing I noticed also - while update process is in progress on client, user in Software Center could potentially
click on any update which were installed and required restart and click RESTART button in lower-right corner. I did not try this since it might have restarted machine thereby interrupting installation of other updates. This could be potentially big
problem - restart button would have not been there and available while update process had been in progress.
