My wife and I are on vacation with our N95s and tired of repeatedly carpet-bombing friends and family with MMS pictures as our vacation progressed. I tricked my wife into installing Ovi Share and she and I notified everyone that we would no longer send MMS, but would SHARE our travels on OVI. As our trip progressed a lot of questions have come up. I am not too confident that posting here will get the answers I seek and I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask questions. We both downloaded the latest Ovi share app. 1. Is there some cool guide to ovi share? Something to answer questions such as: What exactly is ovi share, why would I use it, why do I care, what need would it meet and what solutions does it replace. I know a Nokia site offers video, but I am running on EDGE and lack the patience for a video download which may not play on my N95. 2. Is ovi share what I should be using to replace sending MMS messages throughout my trip? Is it for something else? 3. Not having 3G in the USA (which is either my fault, T-mobile's fault or Nokia's fault, depending on who I ask), I am forced to use EDGE. Many of these pictures/videos take a LONG time to upload to mymedia and it won't let me send another until the current send completes. Is there a way to allow it to stack up stuff in the outbox like every other messaging application? 4. Many of the transfers abort and it is unclear what was sent. Updating the share app often does not show the latest upload like the web page and I have sent the same files twice many times. How can I keep the mobile app in sync? How can I delete duplicates from the mobile app, or am I forced repeatedly to log in to that web site over EDGE? 5. I am not convinced that others actually can see my photos. Are they really shared? The mobile web site is unclear on this. I added a "shared" album but can't seem to get any photos into it. Why aren't they just shared? I managed to trick the contacts doohicky into making my wife a contact, but I can't see her photos on the web from my phone. I don't think she can see my photos either. 6. Reading the forums makes me think I need a Windows PC to get anything done. Is this true? I don't have one at home (we run Solaris) and I certainly didn't bring one on the trip. After all, the N95 is the "multimedia computer." Do I REALLY need a Windows box to do this stuff? . 7. The share app has an option called "My contact's media." Who is my contact and what is their media? My wife is a contact on my phone and even a contact on the ovi share site, but this is always blank. What is it? 8. The share app has a setting called "Publish all image data." The help topic says this will "automatically publish all image data." I have this enabled yet I still have several thousand images which were not automatically published. What does this do? 9. My contacts now have a field called "Share view." Is this related to Ovi Share? What does it do? How do I use it? Phew. Thanks for reading and any answers to any questions are deeply appreciated. In your main account, create a new folder on the desktop and move some of your account's files to it. Keep track of what you move, and move files back and forth in batches until you've isolated the file responsible for the problem.
If the problem's in the account's system-level records and not a file in its home folder, migrating everything won't transfer the problem.

Problems in creation of a new user in the workflow

Hello everybody,
I created a task "create new user" in the workflow. When I chose the "password" attribute, the entry couldn't be created. Without that attribute, I am able to create a user and see him in the monitoring, but can't log into the workflow because of a password error. Could anybody tell me what went wrong here? Did I forget a setting?

No, it will wipe it when they try to connect it to a computer and set it up under their own Apple ID. When they turn on the device the first time without connecting it to anything they will be able to see the video.

Hi there. When I add a new user every thing works great except when I try to logg this new user. The computer freezers at the logging window with the processing bar working indefinetly. Welcome to Apple Discussions.
It is difficult to tell why your new user account is not working, but one has to start some place.
First try Starting up in Safe Mode. Log in with the original user account, the restart the computer normally and log into the original user account. Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility. Launch Disk Utility. Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel and First Aid in the main panel. Click Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU.
Go to System Prefs > Accounts and recheck the new account, especially the login options. If everything seems OK quit System Preferences and restart. Try logging into the new accounts. If you have problems force shut down and Start up in Safe Mode again.
It may be easiest to just delete the new account and start over, as you do not yet have any data in it. However, if you want to continue to trouble shoot we can try it for a while.
Please post back with a report of your experience and any questions or comments you may have.

Send Welcome Email to New User using the Scripting Agent

I require some assistance please. I have found a number of scripts online to send a Welcome Email to new users whereby they make use of the ScriptingAgent.xml file.
I like the way the scripts have been configured and have mashed up one or two scripts together for my desired result however when testing in my lab (Exchange 2013) I have found tow problems.
The problems are:
1. When creating a new user and mailbox (New-Mailbox) via the ECP the script throws out an error which I will post later in this post. The mailbox is created fine but it does not send out a welcome email. When a user is created in ADUC and then a mailbox
is created (Enable-Mailbox) the welcome email is sent out correctly.
2. In the script i have a section to check for NewUser00 in the HTML file and replace that with the Users Name and Surname, however this does not work correctly, I just come up blank:

Can I transfer CC for Teams membership (Photoshop) to a new user on the same machine without uninstalling and reinstalling software? i.e. one user left new user started needing the same software.

We have Creative Cloud for Teams, most users using Photoshop. One user left the company and has been replaced by another user. I removed the first user's membership and assigend it to the new user. When she runs Photoshop, she gets a 00 Days left message. Photoshop still seems to be useable right now but I'm wondering if I need to uninstall Photoshop and re-install it using her credentials? Seems like a lto of unnecessary work to me.

There is no need for removal of the product . You can simply launch the product , click on Help>Sign out . Close the product and sign in with the new user's Adobe ID & Password. This should activate the product .

Windows SBS 2011 - I can't add a new user through the SBS Console

I have recently installed SBS 2011 and this is my first install of SBS since 2003.
After the installation I went to the SBS Console to add a new user and when I select 'Add a new user account' and base it on the Standard User account i get a message saying 'Add a New User Account failed', when i view the details for this it says "The User
Account cannot be added. Ensure that the Active Directory Domain Services service is running....
I searched the web for this and found the following which was not applicable http://support.microsoft.com/kb/958890
I then resorted to adding the users via AD Users and Computers and the modifying the value in the ADSI for msSBSCreationState to 'Created' and then it appeared in the console, i then used the console to change the user role for this account to Standard User.
But when i now click on the "Edit User Account Properties" action i get a pop up message from SBS Server saying "There is no such object on the server".
Any ideas on ow to fix this broken console would be appreciated.

Custom workflow... creating a new user from the End User's point of view

I ran across the same error today. Since it's been over a month, I assume you've fixed it already or decided you didn't need it at all? What was your fix?
For me, I noted that in the sample directory, a similar "createView" call (in End User Anonymous Enrollment) also includes this argument:

When I added that to my createView call, the "Missing view id" error went away, and the user are gets created.
I'm not entirely comfortable with the value specified, though; seems like view IDs should be more unique. I would have thought it should have been something like this instead:
<Argument name='viewId' value='User:$(accountId)'/>

How long does an email invite take for CC teams? I have tried to add a new user but the amil was never recived.

It seems my new user isn't getting the invitation to my team. I've tried having the user create an adobe account and tried having him just log in to the CC app. but it want to be in "trial" mode. Not sure what to do next. Any ideas?

Kindly ask the user to check the Junk Email and spam folders.
This is what you can try.
Send invitation to a different user so that you can test if the email account that you are inviting is faulty or not.

I created a new SAP user id by copying the existing. When i logged into the portal using the new user id, i was able to see the task from the original user id in the task list. But this should not happen. Is there any configuration to control it?

Windows 7 Home Basic does not support ad hoc or hosted network functionality (what Connectify and Virtual Router use). At a minimum you would need to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. Note the Applies to these editions of Windows 7 statement at the right in this article.

You are asking about a Database User I hope.
You can look into the Oracle 8i Documentation and find various privillages listed.
In particular, you may find:
Chapter 27 Privileges, Roles, and Security Policies
an intresting chapter.
You may want to do this with the various tools included with 8i - including the
Oracle DBA Studio - expand the Security node and you can create USERS and ROLES.
Or use SQL*Plus. To create a
user / password named John / Smith, you would login to SQL*Plus as System/manager (or other) and type in:
Create user John identified by Smith;
Grant CONNECT to John;
Grant SELECT ANY TABLE to John;
commit;
There is much more you can do
depending on your needs.
Please read the documentation.
