New W7 64bit computer, running FFox 23. Unable to download Flash Player

Hi
So brand new computer with above spec.  Operator not exactly proficient with all things IT
Struggling to understand what is going on.
I have repeatedly try to download the latest version of Flashplayer but can't seem to get past the download tab of Firefox ie as far as I can tell, Flash has not yet reached the computer hard drive itself.
I have tried un-installing Flash player, tried turning off the MS security system, ie have followed the Adobe trouble-shooter but am now stuck.
BTW I did use the  W7 Easy Transfer softward so my old files have been transferred from both a W7 and an old XP OS'd computer -could this be the issue
Be grateful for any advice,,,
Cheers
A

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link and selecting "Save Link as".
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save it to your downloads folder.
DO NOT run it yet.
Reboot your system.
BEFORE you open anything else, locate and run the installer.
You should be "good to go" from there.

There is no Flash Player for iOS; Apple won't allow it.

  • I AM UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER 10.3. A TECH DOWNLOADED FLASH PLAYER 10 PLUG IN LAST WEEK.

DO I NEED BOTH?  WHEN I TRIED TO WATCH A VIDEO ON MY E-MAIL I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER.  WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD IT NOTHING HAPPENS.  I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA AND I AM USING IE9 WHICH THE TECH ALSO DOWNLOADED FOR ME.  SINCE MY CALL I GET A BOX WITH A SCRIPT ERROR ON NEARLY EVERY PAGE.

Hi, I am back and can see clearly.  I have not experienced the error box while moving the pointer.  I do have some examples for your review.  I will start with what happens when I start a session.  I click on IE and get the error box.  I click on red "X".  Comcast.net is my home page and the Tab is trying to take me there.  The symbol showing that it is running is turning but will not connect.  Next I click on the "X" on the address bar.  This stops the TAB. Now I click on the Refresh and I get my home page without any error box.
    Examples
    1.  The animalrescuesite.com
From e-mail.  I am helping to provide food for animals and it doesn't cost me.  If you are interested I encourage you to go to the site and sign up.  You will get an email each day and it takes less than thirty seconds to do.  When I open there is no error box.  When I click on "click here" I get the error box.  To close I click on the red "X". I then click on purple box "click here to give".  No more error boxes backing out of the site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
    2.  bestwestern.com
From e-mail.  Same as example #1. no error box on page 1.  When I click on "book now" I get error box.  I click on red "X" and then no more error boxes while in the site.  I clicked on each tab.  Also no error boxes while backing out of site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
    3.  Any e-mail with video link.
When I click on the link I get the error box. After I click on the red "X" the video starts.
I hope this helps.   Also I wanted to get your take on me uninstalling the fire fox and when.  I am ready to compose my e-mail to Adobe.  Do you want to see it before I send it.  You might offer an insight that I miss.

  • Unable to download Flash Player Plugin 11.7.700.224

Cannot play games due to inability to update Flash Player Plugin in Firefox. Firefox notes that I need to update, but will not let me do it. Every time I click "Update Now" or type "unable to update Adobe Flash Player Plugin 11.7.700.224", another Firefox screen appears, stating something like "Flash Player 11.6 to 10. blah-blah" has problems and has been blocked by Firefox. I KNOW THIS!! That's why I am trying to update Flash Player Plugin, as Firefox has suggested. As far as I can tell, I have deleted everything having to do with Flash Player...so why am I not able to download the newest version? (I went to Adobe website to make sure everything was deleted, and it showed I had no Flash Player installed.) Am I doing something wrong? I have been trying to download this for quite a while, to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.

  • Unable to download Flash Player 10.3.181.34

The downloader stops at 12% and I get an error reading "Unable to contact trackers".
I've tried downloading from here, but the download itself won't even start, whether I use Firefox (it's frozen and stays on "Starting...") or Internet Explorer.
    Anything I can do?

  • Unable to Download Flash Player

    I have IE Version
8.0.6001 32-bit. Windows XP. I am trying to download Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32. When I click on the download box it says that it is already downloaded (but in actuality it is not). I run through the series of steps and at the end it indicates that both Adobe Flash Player 10.2 as well as McAfee Security are installed. Then, another box comes up that says "The installer will automatically continue when these conflicting applications are closed: Windows Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and Internet Explorer. There is also a "QUIT" box and an "INSTALL" box. If I click the "INSTALL" box, an error message pops up saying that Adobe 10.2 is not installed. If I click the "QUIT" box, everything stops as well. This is becoming extremely frustrating. What am I to do?   In the Add/Remove section of the Control Panel, all that is listed is Adobe Download Manager, Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX, and Akamai NetSession Interface. I also have "Adobe UnInstall Flash Player" on my desktop. I have tried to apply that, but to no avail. I have also applied the "Kill-Bit"remover and have  tried to re-install the download but still no success. I need help! Thanks.

  • Unable to loaf flash player

I am unable to download Flasher Player 10 after several attempts. I am told that the download is finished, but when attempting to view many videos I recaived an error message that I do not have the latest Flash Player. Please advise.

    Downloading is one thing.
    Installing it is another entirely.
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following links and selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save Link as"(Firefox).
    Flash Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Save the files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything, go to the Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove all instances of Flash Player.
Next, run the ActiveX installer, and then the (other browsers) Installer.
Lastly, for Internet Explorer see:Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer  and: ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer  to make 100% sure that Flash Player is enabled and NOT being blocked by ActiveX controls.

  • Unable to install Flash Player as "only a single version of this application can run"

I was having problems with Flash Player earlier today and decided to uninstall it (from Windows 7) and reinstall from scratch.  I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it but now I get the following message: Unable to install Flash Player as "only a single version of this application can run" I tried uninstalling   I checked to see if there was still a programme to install but there is not. I checked my files in Windows and there are several files called Install_Flashplayer _16x32 .............. files. I presume they were created each time I attempted to install Flash Player.  I thought of deleting the numerous Install FlashPlayer files but decided to seek help before taking this step.
    Browser: Firefox 35.0.1
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    64bit OS

I have somehow managed to install Flash Player and it works. I deleted all the install files except one which did not want to be deleted, Then I started to install Flash Player until I got the message about conflicting applications. I then used Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open Task Manager, then closed all tasks except the Flash Player one. Flash Player finished installing. I then opened a TV Player in Firefox and was able to play a programme that required a Flash Player.
Why do I have to use Task Manager to close applications. I can't remember the last time I used it ut think it was about a year ago when my computer would not shut down.

  • So, I'm new to Itunes and seem to be unable to download my selected tunes. What am I doing or not doing.  I seem to be following instructions, what little there are.

So,I'm new to itunes and seem to be unable to download tunes to my computer.  The instructions make it so simple to sign on, but, not to download.

Call Apple Care. They will either help you over the phone, or they will help you send it in for repair (it takes only a few days to do that - you usually have it back literally two or three days after you send it in)...What you are describing is something malfunctioning and that is NOT usual for a mac.

    Hi Prat,
We are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.  In the mean time, please use the offline installer, posted at the bottom of the help page corresponding with your OS and browser:
