New Workspace
Hi All,
I created the workspace with this "c:\..\SAPIdE.exe"-data"newworkspacedir" format only. When i create the new workspace and import the alredy working project in the new workspace, all the old projects are sharing the old workspace not the new one.
I want to know the reason for this and also the way i created the workspace is correct or not. If any one of you know let me know please.

I guess you are not talking about the location of the newly created projects. Importing the already existing projects into a new workspace does NOT copy the project to the new workspace. It just creates a new project from an eclipse project in the file system.
If you are interested in having the location of the projects (newly imported) changed, then simply copy your projects from the old workspace directory and paste it to the new one.

Illustrator CC crashing upon attempting to start a new document or even save a new workspace.
Didn't realise I was a beta tester, in fact didnt know I had the time to be either.
Creative Cloud is a great idea, pity it has been used to release under cooked software. The upgrade to CC has cost my department hours and hours of chargeable/billable time.

Mylenium, I too am having problems creating/saving a new Workspace with Illustrator CC.
I am migrating from CS5 to Cloud.
When you say, “Make sure to be on your primary desktop when using AI.”
Does that mean ALL my panels must be on ONE monitor???
I work with two monitors. I have open panels on set both on monitors.
This was never a problem with CS5 and below.
When I try to modify or create a new Workspace, Illustrator crashes.
In the past, I just have copied my workspaces from one version to the next in Preferences>Adobe Illustrator.
Never been a problem until now.
Please advise.
I have spent countless hours on this.

This is discussed at length in the User's Guide. See the section "Creating Workspaces".
To rename a workspace using the admin application, edit the workspace attributes and type a new name in the field where the old name appears, then Apply Changes.

I installed APEX 4.0, IN MY ORACLE DATABASE 10G EXPRESS EDITION, AND WANT TO CREATE A NEW WORKSPACE CALLED *"SMD"* SIMULATION FOR A PROJECT, THE PROBLEM IS THAT HE TRIED MAKING A *"Service Request"* and giving them to *"Sign up for Another workspace "*THEN CALLS ME THERE NAME, LAST NAME AND MAIL, AND THE NAME OF THE NEW WORKSPACE BUT DEVILS ARE NOT WHERE THE PASS OR USER TO BE ABLE TO ENTER NEW WORKSPACE CREATED WITH THAT, IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO DO IT RIGHT FORM?

Disabling the creation of sample application for new workspace
Hi,
Just wondering if it's possible to disable the sample the application that is created when ever you create a new workspace? Also so that it doesn't create the 'demo' tables and associated sequences. Pretty sure we have this configured at work, but can't remember how we did it.

Exception Message: Cannot find library item WsMedicina.
The error cause: Cannot add Library Service.

What error appears in the application.log file for Workspaces when the creation fails? You can find this log at a path like this:
$ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_OCSClient/application-deployments/workspaces/OC4J_Workspaces_default_island_1
Has creation of a library during new workspace creation worked in the past?
Can the same user access the Content Services application successfully?

Import source from 1 workspace to a new workspace
There appears to be something missing when I import source files from 1 project into a new project contained in a new workspace.
The source files compile indiv. with no errors in both workspaces. The old workspace compilies fine.
However when you try and run or compile the new project or new workspace I get tons of wierd errors about duplicate classes.

you can also get a memory stick and move the files but it will not save your ratings or playlists. I do not suggest a stick that uses compression. I did it that way and Vista does not have a way to decompress the files so they are useless. The third way is to back up of your files if you have a cd burner. you can do this through itunes by going to file/library/back up to disk. After recording the back up. you can restore from disk on the new computer.
But I will warn you, Vista *****! I have the 64 bit version and everytime I close Itunes it erases my music. I still have the music on my computer, it just wont stay in itunes. Still dont know how to fix this. -
OWB 11g try to create a new workspace

I have the following problem:
I try to create a new workspace for a new user using Windows XP Repository Assistant
After setting name of the repos owner an the name of the workspace and add a name of 1 existsting schema as workspace user I got the error:
java.sql SQLException ORA-00942 Table or View does not exist.
Is there a patch or something else so that this error does not exist?

APEX 4.Loosing translatable text when exporting/importing to new workspace
Hi everyone,
I am developing a bilingual application (base English translated to french) and I noticed something weird when exporting/importing to another workspace.
First, my application is flagged as requiring synchronization after an import. Yes, I did check that it was not flagged right before the export. I did choose Export Translations.
Secondly, when I look at the translated application in the new workspace, my Region Names are not translated anymore (in english instead of french). When I cmpare the 2 Translation Repositories (using the Manually Edit Translation Repository) I lost all Region Names entries (Column Description = Region name).
Thirdly, when again comparing the 2 Translation Repositories, I have the same number of Strings and Distinct Strings by if I group by Column Descriptions the sub-totals differ and I don't even have the same distinct Column Descriptions.
My test was done with my development workspace and a test workspace (where I deleted all application prior to my test) in the same instance.
Anybody had these problems?

Unfortunately, this is a bug. This issue with region titles was first reported in Bug in 4.1.1: Region Title translations is lost I recorded it as Bug 13801807 - REGION TITLE TRANSLATIONS LOST WHEN IMPORTING AS A NEW APPLICATION ID. It's fixed in APEX 4.2.

New workspace won't save correctly in Bridge CS4
I have been trying to save a new workspace with just the preview panel showing. When I use Windows>Workspace>New workspace, it saves to the name I give it, but the panels go back to the default (Essentials) configuration.
Any ideas please?
ThanksThanks - that almost worked. It certainly let me change the configuration of the windows, but I can't get to hide the content window. It insists on showing 3 thumbnials in width...

ORA+27478 when requesting new workspace
Hi,
after going through the wizard for creating a new workspace, I get the following errorÖ
ORA-27478: job "APEX_040000.ORACLE_APEX_MAIL_QUEUE" is running
Error requesting Workspace: .
Return to application.
Language: en
Application Express 4.0.0.00.46If I login as the ADMIN user I can see the request but if I try to approve it I get the same error.
The Job monitor reports that the ORACLE_APEX_MAIL_QUEUE job is running.
Not sure where to look for solutions_

this is what I get when I am querying the dba_jobs view:

Where does the new Workspace name go?
InDesign is now locked up because I can't find the place to type in a new Workspace name. Nothing is evident and I get the error tone every time I hit anything. Nothing works, it won't save, and I don't want to lose the work since I saved last.

Open Applications in New Workspaces under GNOME Shell
I was wondering if I could make new applications automatically open in a new workspace when they are opened. And, if possible, if I can make anything fullscreen (and only fullscreen things) go to a new workspace. For example, I would like it if Totem stays on my current workspace, but moves to a new one when I make it go fullscreen.
I have tried the Auto Move Windows extension, but it only allows me to make an application go to a certain workspace instead of just a new one.I agree with item 2 and have thought about this before. Actually, I just added a comment to https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=676832 about it.

I have created a new workspace specific to the needs of our group. I have saved this workspace using the "New Workspace" command in the workspace pulldown menu, but when Illustrator is shut down and re-opened, this workspace is available but has not saved my specified settings and tools. This is a critical workspace intended to be used by everyone in our group, so I need to figure this out. Is this a glitch in CS6, or am I missing something?
