Newbie to XI - Simple File to File Scenarion

Hi Friends,
I am newbie to XI. Learning XI. I have trying FILE 2 FILE scenarion firstly in which i have given simple XML file as input and simple mapping rules. Scenarion is executing as i can see the input xml is deleting. But output file is not getting created.
In Runtime workbench i tried to see the error log messages. I got the following error:
Error in XI pipeline .... HTTP 403 ERROR. CONTACT SAP INTERNET COMMUNICATION FRAMEWORK TEAM.
Can you please let me know what is the problem in this?
Thank you very much in advance.
Kind Regards,
Tom

Hi Dimitris,
I have tried SICF transaction code. and i DOUBLE CLICKED
DEFAULTHOST->SAP->XI->ADAPTER_PLAIN
It opened up a "Create/Change a Service" window. In that i can see the below:
ICF Path        /default_host/sap/xi
ICF Object     adapter_plain -
Service (Inactive)
etc...
Please let me  know do i need to do any settings or do i need to set anyother values.
Thanks
Tom

  • Unable to deploy a simple WAR / EAR file on Standalone OC4J instance

    All,
    This issue is baffling me since yesterday and while I continue to look for options , would appreciate if anyone of you has run into something similar and give me some hints on how to proceed on this ..
    I downloaded the Standalone OC4J ( 10.1.3 ) from otn.oracle.com and also downloaded JDK 1.5 Update 12 from the Sun Website and installed it on my local
    Windows XP machine. Everything works well and the application gets deployed.
    I then copied the 10.1.3 Standalone OC4J to the Solaris 5.9 box which already
    has JDK 1.5 Update 12 installed. We extracted the OC4J to its own directory , set the Java_Home and the Oracle_Home environment variables and were able to
    startup the OC4J instance.
    However when trying to deploy even a simple HelloWorld.jsp file packaged as an EAR or WAR , we get these errors..
    [Aug 8, 2008 9:40:27 AM] Application Deployer for CISS STARTS.
    [Aug 8, 2008 9:40:27 AM] Copy the archive to /home/aplperdev1/ssp_java/oc4j/j2ee/home/applications/CISS.ear

    Using the above error messages , I certainly do not find the CISS.ear file getting copied to /home/aplperdev1/ssp_java/oc4j/j2ee/home/applications/CISS.ear
    which explains the rest of the messages.
    I have tried placing the EAR file both remote and local on the Application Server box but the results remain the same. Assuming it might be a permissions issue , we have opened up all the permissions on this OC4J home ( recursively )
    to everyone ..
    Is there a specific version of tar / unzip / jar required to deploy EARs / WARs on Solaris 5.9 running JDK 1.5 Update 12.
    We had some issues when extracting OC4J to its directory but there were no errors displayed on the screen ... Only when we tried starting up the OC4J instance , it started complaining about missing XML files .. This was resolved by manually extracting the XML's from the corresponding jars and placing them in the proper directories ..
    Also looked at Bug:6330834 but am not very sure if this applies to our case because all these drives are local to the Sun box.
    Other than attempting a reinstall and opening an Service Request with Oracle , I am running out of ideas at this time ..
    So any ideas / hints would be gladly accepted :)
    Vishwa

    When you say:
    I then copied the 10.1.3 Standalone OC4J to the Solaris 5.9 box which already has JDK 1.5 Update 12 installed. We extracted the OC4J to its own directory , set the Java_Home and the Oracle_Home environment variables and were able to
    startup the OC4J instance.
    We had some issues when extracting OC4J to its directory but there were no errors displayed on the screen ... Only when we tried starting up the OC4J instance , it started complaining about missing XML files .. This was resolved by manually extracting the XML's from the corresponding jars and placing them in the proper directories ..
    It sounds like you have some funky issues there with those missing XML files -- that is not expected or normal.
    Do you mean you copied the same oc4j_extended.zip to the server and unzipped it, or you zipped up the directories you were using on the Windows box, copied that over, and unzipped it?
    I don't know of any problems with Solaris, JDK5, U12.
    What about if you do this to remove any issues with the remote copy aspect of the deployment.
    1. Stop OC4J.
    2. Manually copy CISS.ear to /home/aplperdev1/ssp_java/oc4j/j2ee/home/applications/
    3. Edit the j2ee/home/config/server.xml file and add the entry to deploy the application
    4. Edit the j2ee/home/config/default-web-site.xml and bind any web-modules you need.
    5. Start the server and see what happens -- the application should be deployed.
    Also, what happens if you use the $JAVA_HOME/bin/jar to try and view the contents of the CISS.ear file?

    Regards
    KUMAR

    Hey kumar,
    What you can do step by step is as follows:
    1. Go to SMQ2 and ctivate/delete the queues, then re-run your scenario. If problem solved well and good.
    2. If problem is not solved, then use tcode <b>SICF</b> -> F8 and check the default_host->sap--->XI. check if all the services are active or not. if active then it will be in pure black color. if not active then activate it and then your scenario. If problem solved well n good.
    3. If problem is not solved yet, then use tcode <b>SM59</b> and test HTTP connectioin.
    SM59 ---> open "HTTP connection to ABAP system" ---> double click on "INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI".
    Now pree the connection test button and select the "Accept all further Cookies" check box and press "Yes".  If test results are positive i.e. if there is no error then test your scenario and if you have problem please consult with your Basis persion.
    I hope all above mention setps will resolve your problem.
    Regards,
    Sarvesh

  • Simple file to file transfer.  Pls advice urgent

    Hi All,
    I have Simple file to file transfer.
    There are text files at source side that need to send at receiver side.
    Source text files name are different so I have used
    Adapter Specific Attributes for Sender and Receiver Adapetrs
    Question
    As these are text files and there is no mapping required what interface name should I give at Sender Aggrement and
    at Interface Determination.
    Pls describe steps
    Regards

    Rider,
    Its very simple scenario. For ur satisfaction I did the same, it's working perfectly. I don't know what mistake u did. Let me give the complete picture.
    Step1: Create new Scenario
    Step2: Create new Business Service, let say File_BusService
    Step3: In File_BusService add the outbound and Inbound Interface name and namespaces , like
    Outbound Interface: MyInterface
    Outbound Interfacenamespace: http://my-own-namespace.com
    Inbound Interface: MyInterface
    Inbound Interfacenamespace: http://my-own-namespace.com
    Step4: Create two communication Channels under File_BusService
    Step5: Receiver Determination.
    Sender:File_BusService
    Outbound Interface: MyInterface
    Outbound Interfacenamespace: http://my-own-namespace.com
    Configured Receivers
    File_BusService
    Step6: Interface Determination.
    Sender:File_BusService
    Outbound Interface: MyInterface
    Outbound Interfacenamespace: http://my-own-namespace.com
    Inbound Interface: MyInterface
    Step7: Receiver agreement
    Receiver Service: File_BusService
    Inbound Interface: MyInterface
    Receiver Comm.channel
    Step8: Sender Agreement.
    Sender:File_BusService
    Outbound Interface: MyInterface
    Outbound Interfacenamespace: http://my-own-namespace.com
    Sender Comm.channel.

  • Simple File 2 File scenario - binary

    XI freaks hello,
    I want to run a simple text File to text File scenario without ANY change of the file encoding.
    currently it is running using the Binary type (I don't want to mess with the content encoding of the text file).
    would this be ok?
    mind you..the file is taken from a Windows FS and moved to another FS...would this might cause encoding problem? should the original program create the file with the target server encoding
    cheers

    Got it from the market place.
    Note 821267 - FAQ: XI 3.0 / PI 7.0 File Adapter
    "Flat Files without File Content Conversion
    Whether to configure an encoding in this case depends on if you want to pass through the file "as is", e.g. within a File Sender to File Receiver scenario, or if you want to convert the file's encoding on its way through the Integration Server. <B>For "as is" processing, configure both the sender and the receiver using the File Type setting "Binary".</B>
    To apply an encoding conversion, configure the respective source and target encoding in both the sender and receiver channel."

  • Encountering error in simple file 2 file scenario

    Hi,
    Working on a very simple file 2 file scenario , where input contains 1 header record identified with a key field and detail record conntains more than 1 records identified with key field. Used very specific FCC. But it was unable to generate the output file (a simple text file without any translation) giving errors as below -
    1. File Adapter Receiver Channel cc_target: Not initialized - cannot proceed: null
    2. MP: exception caught with cause com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages
    3. Adapter Framework caught exception: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages
    4. Delivering the message to the application using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Channel has not been correctly initialized and cannot process messages.
    Input File structure is like
    H1,XXXXX
    D1,YYYYYY
    D1,ZZZZZ
    D1,NNNN
    H1 and D1 are key identifiers of header and detail record
    Need same format output file, used FCCs (1) fieldSeperator (2) endSeparator (3)ignoreRecordsetname (4) fieldNames (5) keyfieldvalue.
    Can anyone pls suggest ?
    AC

    Hi ,
    Use FCC Like this.
    Doccument Name                        MT_Source( Your Source Message Type name)
    Doccument Namespace                   http://xxxxxx(Your Message type Name space)
    Recordset Structure                   Header,1,Detail,*
    Key Field Name                        field1
    Key Field Type                        String
    Header.fieldSeparator            ','
    Header.fieldNames                field1,field2
    Header.keyFieldValue             'H1'
    Header.endSeparator              'nl'
    Detail.fieldSeparator            ','
    Detail.fieldNames                field1,field2
    Detail.keyFieldValue             'D1'
    Detail.ignoreRecordsetname        true
    Detail.endSeparator              'nl'
    Let me know if you are getting any problem.
    Thanks.

  • Problem in Simple file to file scenario

    Hello,
    I am new to SAP PI 7.3. I am doing a simple file to file scenario. The source file contains key,name,id,gender,role & location field. I have done a simple mapping to create the same file in the target side. I have done all the configuration in ESR & ID.
    But the problem is that in the target file ( Destination File ) i am getting only key field and the other fields are missing.
    Note: In communication channel monitoring, the communication channel is functioning properly and in message monitor also, the status is 'delivered'.
    The source payload also contains all the fields correctly. In message mapping (in ESR) also, the target payload is also generating correctly. But in the destination file I am getting the key field only and the rest fields are missing.
    Can you please suggest me what to do and where is the problem?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Moumita

    Hello,
    Do u have any MT name above Record node? If yes, then u have to change ur structre little bit. Check my reply in the thread pasted below.

    BTW, if i am not wrong Iñaki has also suggested the same.

    Hi,
    The best way to check if your file is being picked is to set the "Processing Mode to Delete"....So then you will know if your file is actually being picked...
    Also go to Message Monitoring of RWB and check for the status. Because if you have content conversion problems then it will show there in MDT(Message Display Tool under Message Monitoring).
    And if you are using NFS connection for Sender File Adapter, try to check for the checkBox "ReadOnly Files".
    Pls go through the explanation of a simmilar scenario that i have explained below and compare it with what you have done..
    Please go thru the following links and clear all your doubts.

  • Help with simple file to file BPM scenario

    Hi Gurus,
    I am doing simple file to file BPM scenario.
    I am getting an error in SXI_CACHE with status code 99.
    I activated the business process then status code changed to 2.
    When i tried to activate the process again i am getting prompted to enter access key details.
    Is there any other way to get rid of the error i.e., to get the status code to zero with giving access key details.Sample access key details are also greatly appreciated.

    Hi Bhavesh,
    I tried doing that but of no use.
    I registered at https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/minisap/minisap.htm
    and got a mail with details.I was actually looking for access key details in the mail from sap.The details in the mail contains License key but not access key .Are the both access key and license key same?

  • Simple xml config file

    I have created a simple config file using something like:
          XMLEncoder e = new XMLEncoder(
                                      new BufferedOutputStream(
                                          new FileOutputStream("Config.xml")));
          e.writeObject(base.toString());
          e.writeObject(numberFrom);
          e.writeObject(numberTo);
          e.writeObject(numberPad);
          e.writeObject(maxTasks);
          e.writeObject(maxSubTasks);
          e.writeObject(textFrom);
          e.writeObject(textTo);
          e.close();which produces a file like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <java version="1.4.2_05" class="java.beans.XMLDecoder">
    <string>C:\</string>
    <int>1</int>
    <int>20</int>
    <int>2</int>
    <int>0</int>
    <int>1</int>
    <string>a</string>
    <string>z</string>
    </java> I want to make it a bit more version proof so need to get something more like:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <program name=myprog>
    <dir>C:\</dir>
    <version>1</version>
    <myval1>20</myval1>
    <myval2>2</myval2>
    </program>There's probably loads of errors in that bit;) but you get the idea. I'm a bit new to xml programming.
    Can anyone give me any urls of help or examples that might do this?
    Thanks,
    David.

    You could use a binding api such as JAXB or xmlbeans. In essence these apis abstract the xml as pure java objects. Alternatively you could use an xml parser such as dom4j and build the XML 'by hand'. This class will create an example config file and write it to the file system
    import java.io.BufferedWriter;
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileWriter;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilderFactory;
    import javax.xml.parsers.ParserConfigurationException;
    import org.apache.xml.serialize.OutputFormat;
    import org.apache.xml.serialize.XMLSerializer;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import org.w3c.dom.Element;
    import org.w3c.dom.Text;

  • File to file scenarion

    i have a file to file scenario where a send step in the BPM is sending message to two business-services....
    the scenario consist of:
    one sender business-service(hence one outbound synchronous message-interface),
    one BPM with one send step and one receive step(hence one abstract asynchronous interface),
    two business service(hence two inbound-asynchronous message interface),
    the scenario is picking a file from the sender business-service, and putting them into two receiver business-services,
    the problem is that, while the file is being picked successfully from the sender business-service.....it is not being put to the receiver-business-service.......
    sxmb-moni shows no error.....
    but in the runtime work bench the outgoing channel doesnt shows anythin, that means they are ideal.....
    help me out...coz i don know how to debug it.....coz sxmb-moni is not giving any clue to catch the problem

    Hi Sudeep,
    Basically BPM is not IDEAL for File to File scenarios, though its a very powerful mechanism it has certain limitations.
    However you can detect the error by clicking "C" field where you will get a complete workflow. and check the process log.
    The better solution is configure the receivers without any condition in receiver determination. So the files will be automatically transfered, this will be fast n relible too.
    I hope this will help you.

    Shri
