NEWBIE: UnmarshalException During Client Entity Lookup
I am receiving the following error when looking up an ejb from a client. What
am I doing wrong?

Since java.lang.StackTraceElement is a new 1.4 class, I guess that you run Weblogic using
1.4 and your client uses 1.3.

Hard drive error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup
I tried upgrading my hard drive on my 13" MacBook Pro (mid-2010) to a solid state drive. When I did, I encountered a problem where I could not boot from my internal drive.
It boots fine from the external drive that I used to clone my old HHD.
When I run repair disk in disk utility I get an error:
Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map
Error: Some information was unavailable during an internal lookup.
Running repair disk on the external drive returns no errors.
My first thought was I have a bad SATA cable. After replacing the SATA cable, I am still having the problem.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? SATA Connector on the motherboard failed?
Thanks in advance.I formatted it a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) using the Erase function in Disk Utility then copied the contents of my HD using Restore in Disk Utility. It seemed to copy all of the contents correctly. It boots from the external drive.
The problem starts when I put it in the computer and try to boot internally. It will not boot. Also, my old HD will also not boot internally now either. -
Wrong credentials entered during Client update
Hi,
We have a production site where ODS transfer have stopped working after an upgrade
from 6.0.4.12 to 6.0.4.18.
I am suspecting that the wrong database credentials have been given during client upgrade and
I want to change them to make sure they are correct. Since this is now encrypted information
I have no file that I can update.
How can I change the created database credentials after an update to the client is done?
Best regards,
JohanHi Johan,
Please check SAP Note 1959267.

WLC 5508 and WPA/WPA2 causes client DNS lookups to fail
Hi all, we just recently received a brand new 5508 with 6.0.199.4 firmware. We currently have three LAP-1250s that associate just fine to the WLC.
For testing purposes only, we enabled WPA2 with both types of encryption TKIP and AES with an ASCII PSK. The clients are able to connect, authenticate and get an IP address from our local (same subnet) DHCP server. They also get the DNS info from our DHCP server. However, the problem is that they are not able to do any DNS lookups. I haven't run wireshark yet to confirm, but it sounds very familiar to this problem: https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3202369
I've even had clients use nslookup with both of my DNS servers and they are not able to resolve. I'm not sure if the request or the reply is being blocked/dropped, but I can find out tomorrow.
Now the strange part - if I turn off WLAN security altogether, it works! That's right, I just disable L2 security for the WLAN and re-connect the clients and they are able to do full DNS lookups.
AND - if I leave L2 security configured (WPA2 with PSK), and enable L3 Passthrough security - the clients get to the auth web page, click the "accept" button and are then able to do full DNS lookups too.
What could be the problem here? There's nothing I see configured for the L2 or L3 security settings that could be the culprit. We're using default (from Cisco) configuration, so there's no ACLs configured or anything like that to block DNS.
Another strange thing here which may or not be related - during initial configuration the setup asked for a virtual IP - so I gave it one - 1.1.2.2. Now when I do an ipconfig /all on the client, I see this 1.1.2.2 address listed as the DHCP server. Why is this? It's definitely getting an IP address and DNS info from the correct DHCP server, so not sure why this is showing up.

Hi Matt,
Just wanted to jump in, and also mention it may be worth attempting to disable the fastpath feature on the 5508, and test your failing client again. You may be hitting CSCti34667.
debug fastpath cfgtool --fc.disable
This command can be run via Telnet/SSH. Please keep in mind that fastpath will automatically re-enable periodically, so we recommend disabling every 10 minutes as a workaround for any known fastpath issues. You can do so by running the following Macro in TeraTerm:
:mainloop
sendln "debug fastpath cfgtool --fc.disable"
pause 600
goto mainloop
If you find that disabling fastpath resolves your concern, you can reach out to TAC for an Escalation Image with the fix for this one.

Exception during client synchronization in Mobile 7.1
Hello,
We are working with Mobile 7.1. We changed one of the records from the client side in the table M45NOTIFICATION (the automatically created table for NOTIFICATION Data Object). During the synchronization with the DOE, the changes passed successfully and the record was updated in the backend.
On the next synchronization the DOE tried to pass the feedback to the client but the exception was thrown. When we checked the trace file on the client, we found that the program was trying to perform SELECT from the table that doen't exist - M33NOTIFICATION instead of M45NOTIFICATION!
Please, see the trace attached below.

Why does the program refer to the unexistinf table?
Waiting for your help,
SergeyHi,
Do you have more than one application which uses the same data object(NOTIFICATION) and backend tables?
If yes when you changed the data in M45NOTIFICATION, the backend table also got updated, now when the confirmation comes from the backend it is trying to update all the notification tables on the client.
You can deactivate the rule for the any other applications other than the one you are updating for NOTIFICATION and try again.
Hope this helps.
Thanks and Regards,

Client Copy error during client export / RX file is not getting
Hi Experts,
During the client export process of client copy in order to created two tranports requests(<SID>KT* and <SID>KX) for import we need to have the RT and RX files in data file folder and RT and RX in Co-file folder of usr\sap\trans. But I am getting all exceot RX which contains the client specific texts and forms. Hence I couldn't able to generated the second request <SID>KX.
In the transport log it is saying the package 'BCSC' doesn't exitst and some objects are not entered in the object directory.
Please advice me whether I can proceed the import with the available KT* request which conatinas client specific data and hence avoid the KX* request or please let me know whether there is any option to avoid this error while during a fresh export again.

How to add computer to Intune group during client deployment?
I'm deploying the Windows Intune client as a task sequence in MDT and using Intune to deploy Office 2010.
How can I automatically add the newly imaged computer to a Windows Intune group during the client deployment so that Intune will begin pushing the required software immediately?
Thanks.

You have 3 options.
1. Create a group that includes all computers as the parent
2. Create a group based on a specific domain the computers belong to
3. Create a group based on a specific OU the computers belong to.
Currently that's the only dynamic way to have computers automatically join a device group upon enrollment.

JAVA client JNDI lookup for EJB session in cluster in WLS 5.1
The documentation says :
to obtain a Context for JNDI lookup do the following :
Hashtable ht = new Hashtable();
ht.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
"weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
ht.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://mycluster:7001");
try {
Context ctx = new InitialContext(ht);
// Do the client's work
catch (NamingException ne) {
// A failure occurred
finally {
try {ctx.close();}
catch (Exception e) {
// a failure occurred
where "mycluster" is the DNS name of my cluster. My DNS server (Windows 200
DNS server) use round robin
to call alernatively all the wls server node in "mycluster" and it's OK. The
two servers of my cluster
are called alternatively for my EJB session stateless.
Now I unplug one of the two nodes of my cluster and the remaining server is
called only 2 times
and not after.
Questions :
-is the load balancing between the nodes of mycluster only rely on DNS or
is there an internal
mecanism in EJB sub to try one server then an other ?
- do I need to obtain a new reference on JNDI Context for each call ?
Thank's a lot.
Farid Bellameche.
I too have the same problem. My scenario is :
I have the web tier architecture away from cluster. All ejbs are in cluster
running in two seperate machines. We have a factory class running in
webtier(we use servlet in this tier) which obtains home interface only once
and stores it for future reference. When ever we need the remoteobject stub,
we ask the factory class and which in turn uses the stored home interface to
get the same.
In the webtier, I list all the servers in the cluster as a part of url as
mentioned by you.
I started the web tier as well as Object tier cluster. I could see the
request coming in both the machines in the cluster for the ejb. But When I
bring one the server in the cluster,
1. Web tier throws an exception saying that it could not connect
to server using t3.
2. The other machine which is running the server, also says
'failed to create socket to : -32323234324 sever name
using protocol t3.
It looks like I am able to get load balance. But I am not able to get the
fail over to be working.
In the weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, I added the following.
<clustering-descriptor>
<home-is-clusterable>true</home-is-clusterable>
<home-load-algorithm>round-robin</home-load-algorithm>
</clustering-descriptor>
I compiled and added the .jar file. So the jar file now has replica aware
stubs.
Could any one of you help me for why the fail over is not working?

Error during Client Export err:
Dear Experts,
We are on 4.7 EE, Oracle 10.2.0.4 and Windows 2003 (32 Bit with 2GB RAM) (QLY system)and our database size is close to 600 GB.
I have successfully restored my PRD data to QLY and now my QLY is running fine with no hiccups.
I wanted to do the same to my DEV(which was on 9.2.0.5 now upgraded to 10G) but things are not moving good as expected.
I first tried a database backup/restore which was not successful, then i tried a system copy from QLY--> DEV but the system copy failed due to some memory issues. Finally i opted for a client export which also is failing.
All i assume is that the QLY memory is not sufficient for these activities. I have also set the parameter recommendations for 10G based on the SAP Note: 830576.
The following is the error during a client export
=====================================================================================================

=====================================================================================================
When i searched based on the SQL error 4030 i had many replies suggesting to increase my pga and other memory related parameters.
Can anyone suggest me the optimal parameter recommendations based on the size of my RAM(2GB) for my Oracle and SAP please.
We are in the process of increasing it to 4GB very soon.
Awaiting a helpful reply
Thanks in advance
HunkyIf it is working on your QLY system, just use the same parameter set as there..
Kind regards,
Mark -

Thanks!
Wadih SaadHi Wadih saad,
I think the memory is not suffcient to hold the load. Check your swap space and memory during the client export and also check whether there is sufficient space in the hard disk to hold the export files.
You must have calculated the client size by using the test run. This size must be available as free space in hard disk to do the export.
Make the available space and do the export it will work.

Edited by: user2493512 on Sep 20, 2012 11:30 PMPl post exact versions of "11g" and "Windows 7" - Home versions are not supported - you will need Professional or higher.
Looks like the "-ignoreSysprereqs" flag was used for the install - is there a reason for this ?

We have a situation where we need to grab associated fields from a filtered lookup. We're willing to use javascript in conjunction with with either odata, soap or fetchxml. The goal is to bring in numbers from a custom entity and then fill in
fields to do mathematical calculations.
Basically on change of a lookup, you grab data, put it on the form, then perform the calculations.
Here is how the code used to work. How would you achieve the objective in 2013?
function Literature1_onchange()
if (crmForm.all.ftgbase_literature1id.DataValue != null)
crmForm.all.ftgbase_quantity1.DataValue = 11;
crmForm.all.ftgbase_total1.DataValue = null;
var idToFetch = crmForm.all.ftgbase_literature1id.DataValue[0].id+
//Create AJAX request
var xmlhttp = new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP");
xmlhttp.onreadystatechange = function() {
//A value of 4 indicates that the response has been returned
successfully
if (xmlhttp.readyState == 4) {
strXML = xmlhttp.responseText;
var bundleQty = ReturnValueFromXML
(strXML,'BundleQuantity');
var maxQty = ReturnValueFromXML(strXML,'MaxOrderQty');
if (maxQty != null && maxQty != "null"){
crmForm.all.ftgbase_litmax1.DataValue = parseInt
(maxQty) ;
}else{
crmForm.all.ftgbase_litmax1.DataValue = null;
if (bundleQty != null && bundleQty != "null"){
crmForm.all.ftgbase_bundlequantity1.DataValue =
parseInt(bundleQty) ;
}else{
crmForm.all.ftgbase_bundlequantity1.DataValue = null;
GetRecordXML(xmlhttp, UserInfo._orgId, 'GetLiterature', idToFetch,
'GetLiterature', idToFetch );
else
crmForm.all.ftgbase_bundlequantity1.DataValue = null;
crmForm.all.ftgbase_total1.DataValue = null;
crmForm.all.ftgbase_quantity1.DataValue = 11;
We're willing to either get a method working similar to this or go another route, but not a fetchxml grid, we need to preserve historical data.Hi,
To Retrieve from other entity and populate the fields, for example on entering the account name in opportunity form the fields from account form like Sector, Region can be retrieved and can be auto populated in opportunity form using Odata as follows.
Call the function getAccountDetails in onchange event of Companyname. Do not forget to add Jquery
and Json in libraries.
function getAccountDetails() {
var companyName = Xrm.Page.getAttribute("customerid").getValue();
if ((companyName != null)) {
var companyNameValue = companyName[0].name;
var companyNameID = companyName[0].id;
var serverUrl = Xrm.Page.context.getServerUrl();
//The XRM OData end-point
var ODATA_ENDPOINT = "/XRMServices/2011/OrganizationData.svc";
var odataSetName = "AccountSet";
var odataSelect = serverUrl + ODATA_ENDPOINT + "/" + odataSetName + "(guid'" + companyNameID + "')";
//alert(odataSelect);
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
datatype: "json",
url: odataSelect,
beforeSend: function (XMLHttpRequest) { XMLHttpRequest.setRequestHeader("Accept", "application/json"); },
success: function (data, textStatus, XmlHttpRequest) {
var result_account = data.d;
var name;
var Id;
var entityType;
//replace the fields with the fields on your entity
Xrm.Page.getAttribute("new_sector").setValue(result_account.new_Sector.Value);
Xrm.Page.getAttribute("new_region").setValue(result_account.new_Region.Value);
error: function (XmlHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { alert('OData Select Failed: ' + odataSelect); }
Also as another option if you donot wat the java script then you can go for a workflow to poplate, please refer this link: https://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2013/11/25/retrieving-data-from-a-related-entity-crm-2013/
