Newby question on changing columnar data

If I want to change values in, say, the genre column from what was automatically added when the CD was imported, is there a way to change several at a time rather than one at a time.
For instance 'Sound track' was a value I wanted to change to 'Musical'. Every track from the album had that value.

When you open iTunes, you should be able to select all of the songs (if they are in sequence) by holding down the shift key and going from the first song to the last song. Then key in Apple-I and it will ask if you want to change the data for all of the songs - yes. Then you can change the data.
If you want to select certain songs not in sequential order, select the songs while holding down the Apple key and follow the directions above on changing the data.

If there is a single line item posted(whether the balance is zero or not), it WILL NOT allow you change the reconciliation account in the GL master record.

If you want to update a new reconciliation in vendor master, then create a fresh GL Account as reconciliation type for Vendor and update the vendor master with new GL Reconciliation Account. When you have done the new postings, new entries will flow to new Reconciliation Account, but the old entries will remain be there in the old reconciliation GL Account. To move the old reconciliation entries to new reconciliation entries executed F.5D (Balance Sheet Adjustment). Please read the documentation available on transaction code F.5D

Two questions: Event on a Date Picker and Read Only on a full page?

I make use of this very informative board to develop an application but i have been unable to find info on these two topics. Sorry if it has been already discussed extensively.
Using HTMLDB 2.2 for now.
=>First question:
I have a date picker item with an event
onChange="resaStatusChange();"
in the HTML Form Element Attribute field.
The event is triggerring if i put a new data in the field but does not trigger if i use the picker.
Is it a standart behaviour? Is there a way to trigger the event when new data is provided through the date picker?
=> Second question:
One page in my application has to be used either to only display information or as a mixed displaying/entering data sheet.
When the context is appropriate to use the page as a simple display (testing both global authorization and data to be displayed), is there a way to put a read only attribute on the full page instead of putting the read only conditions through each and every item of the page?
Sorry if the questions are not clear and apologize for what should be newbie questions.

I never used it on a whole page, only for regions. So maybe you have to make some changes.

Why does placing links in Illustrator now change the "Date Modified" data for all of my files?

This seems to be a new glitch that started after I installed the latest updates to Illustrator CC (2014) and reoccurs every time on both computers I work on:
When I choose to place a new image in my Illustrator file and the window opens to let me choose a file to place, the "Date Modified" field of all the files in the folder I'm viewing (except other Illustrator files) quickly changes to the current date and time. This is definitely happening when I'm in Illustrator because when I needed files from a folder that had hundreds of images in it and I was able to select a file quickly, I was able to do so before it had changed the date on all of my files. However, when I needed a file from a folder that had hundreds of images in it but I took a long time to find the image I needed, Illustrator had time to change the date modified on all of my files. This might seem like an unimportant issue because it doesn't actually seem to modify or damage any of my files, but having all of the dates change on my files is a serious problem for my workflow and file management issues. So far, my only work around has been to use back-up image files, but that's not a long term solution and I don't understand why Illustrator should be modifying the dates of my files.
Is there a setting I can choose somewhere to prevent this problem? If not, is there somewhere I can report this kind of glitch? I'm not sure if I'm using the exact language necessary to get the issue across so please let me know if you have any questions! Thanks!

iCloud is not compatible with Snow Leopard, that is your problem.

In IPhoto I changed movie dates after thumb nails were created in IMovie but the new dates are not showing up in IMovie. Is there someway to refresh the IPhoto event in IMovie?

Background: I'm transferring file folders from a Visa laptop via an external hard drive to my IMac. In the folders are photos and videos from different cameras. SO I first tried to import to IMovie but it would not recognize any of the files. So then I imported into IPhoto and both photos and videos were imported and I created events for each folder. When I first opened IMovie I had to wait for it to create "thumb nails". Then I could view the events in IMovie BUT the video clips are not together because they have vastly different dates and are mixed with videos from other events. I looked at the dates and said I can fix that in IPhoto which i did but those new dates are not showing up in IMovie. I think I need to somehow refresh the event data that Imovie is using but have not found how to do that in either IPhoto or IMovie.
I'm doing this on three events with about 100 photos and videos. But I have many 1000s more to do so need to know how to either fix this or delete these events, reimport, change the dates, then open again in IMovie. I'm sure that would work but I can't understand why changing the dates in IPhoto is not being reflected in IMovie.
Appreciate any tips or pointers.
OBTW this is my first question as a first time Apple owner.

Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

I'm trying to determine whether the 'Reschedule' action is appropriate to my situation...
I have a service that consists of 4 tasks. The first 3 tasks will be completed immediately and then the request's 4th task will sit in a queue for about a month so that all of these requests can be grouped together and fulfilled during a few overnight work sessions.
While the 4th task is waiting to be fulfilled, the technician will be contacting the requestor to schedule the work to be done sometime during a 3 day window. The technician needs to specify which of the 3 days each request will be worked on. I'm not sure if I should store the date in a service form field or have the technician reschedule the task so that the start date of the task is set to one of the 3 days. If I use the reschedule feature, are there any downsides?
The advantage of using the reschedule feature is that the scheduled start date can be displayed in ServiceManager's task list and can therefore be sorted on and queried. This wouldn't be possible if I stored the date in a dictionary field on the service form. In that case, I'd have to use custom reports to group the tasks by start date.
Please let me know your thoughts...

This strikes me as a very good use of this feature, since your need to to have the date for this task rescheduled/reflected in ServiceManager. This is the specific effect of using this feature.
For the benefit of others reading this post, remember: this rescheduled date will not change the due date for the service.

In which activity type you are trying to change the display name ?
Have you checked the field property to verify that the field is locked by any other person ?

Difference between Change Authorization Data / Display Authorization Data

My question is wrt to implementation of "principle of treble control" i.e three SAP administrators i.e.
1. Authorization data administrator
2. Authorization profile administrator
3. User Administrator
I have created a role & added a transaction to it e.g. "FAGLL03" or "FF67".
No authorization data is displayed in the authorization tab unless I enter authorization tab with change button and provide inputs for org level field & generate profile. Even when I save the profile with the proposed name, it status still says "No authorization data exists". Since no authorization data is available, administrator 2 is unable to generate profile. If administrator 1 has to generate profile then why is administrator 2 required.
Definition of Administrator 1 is:
The authorization data administrator creates the roles, selects transactions and
maintains the authorization data. He or she simply saves the data in the Profile
Generator since he does not have the necessary authorization for generating the
profile. He or she accepts the proposed profile name T-.... The authorization data
administrator may not change users, nor generate profiles.
Definition of Administrator 2 is:
The authorization profile administrator starts transaction SUPC and chooses All
Roles. He or she then restricts his selection, for example by entering the ID of the
role to be edited. On the next screen, he or she chooses Display Profile to check
the data. If all the data is correct, he or she generates the authorization profile. The
authorization profile administrator may not change users, change the data for roles,
nor generate profiles containing authorization objects beginning with S_USER*.

Create role
Add transactions to menu
Edit profile, org levels & authroization data.

And this leaves me with a role with yellow traffic light on the authorization tab an the profile status is: "Current version not generated"
So it should be possible to maintain roles and profiles separately.

If someone changes the date on an iCal event should the date change for the invitees if they accept the change?

My wife's calendar schedule is pretty hectic and prone to date changes. If I accept the initial invitation it appears correctly in my calendar and syncs correctly to all my devices but I find that if she changes a date and I accept the new change, the event stays the same in my calendar.
Is this correct or am I having problems?

Thanks - I did get the event to go back to 2008, but should the individual clips move to the correct spot in the timeline also? I need to go back and play with it a little more - I would guess you might have to look at the length of clips on either side of where you want the new clip placed for it to work correctly.
So, I guess my 2nd question is if you can get the new clips that were added at the end of the event to move into the correct position within the event.

VBA:comboboxes to present same date in different formats...ADAPT WITH CHANGE IN DATE

I'm very new to VBA and excel development, so please take that into consideration as you read on.
I'm trying to create a work form for a database that (should) collect various information in comboboxes, including the date, the weekday, and the month... Note: most of the time, the data will be inserted the day after it's been collected. So, I wanted to create
one combobox for the date, one for the weekday, and one for the month, because I want columns for each of these in the database (If this is not necessary/efficient, please help! :) ) .
Here's what I've got so far:

I have tried running the same code for the weekday and month as I have for the date, and they work
until the date is changed. Once the date is changed, I have to manually change the weekday, which leads to format change, and same for month, which all leads to :( and confusion

I can give you a little advice but I don't understand your comment "if I change the date, the weekday and month automatically update" Where do you want them to update?
I am assuming that your entire question is referring to a Userform with the Combobox. Is this correct?
The code can be much simpler to populate the combobox list. You already have a named range for the Dates so you can use that directly to populate the RowSource. (RowSource if the combox is on a Userform or ListFillRange for a combobox on a worksheet).
Then the WorksheetFunction Workday can be used to get the previous workday without weekend days. It also looks after the previous day when the actual date is mid week. Look up the function on the worksheet Help because you can also have a separate list
of holidays that will be excluded like weekend days.
If you are new to VBA then a tip about Help. You need to be on the worksheet and click Help to get worksheet help and in the VBA editor you click Help to call the VBA help. Don't just select Help off the taskbar when changing between the worksheet and VBA
because you will finish up with the incorrect Help file.
Example of code to assign a named range to the RowSource of a ComboBox. Named range needs to be Global and not scoped to a worksheet otherwise the worksheet name is also required.

Example of code to assign the previous workday to the combobox value.

Then there is another problem with ComboBoxes and dates. If the Dates are real dates on the worksheet (Not Text) then the dropdown list displays in the same format as the worksheet but when the date is selected, it displays as a serial number. This
can also be rectified with code but first I need to know what the format of the data is on the worksheet.
Can you upload a copy of your workbook because it is like a picture is worth a thousand words. Same goes for having a copy of the workbook. If it has sensitive data then create a copy and remove the sensitive data.

Demand node ofr purchase Ordre( BF) in SNP is Conrel( BI category). We want to change date( start date) at this demand node . We will get this date from R3 using say non cif method.
There are few ways to do it....
1) If we ignore Menas of Transport( so essentially transit time or lead time in tlane) in that purchase order and change this requirement date directly using purchase order save BAPI( requirement node) ......Question will system allow us to do so and even if it allows us to do so will it casue some problem( inconsistencies) later?
2) Second option I am thinking is...
For one product we maiantain GR processing time in product location master and this is considered while determining strat date of BI (Start date= Delivery date -GR procesisng time- means of Transport lead time - some other times ....). For this product let's say we have 100 Purchase Orders (BF). We have requirement that each of these POs should get separate treatment while calculating Start date. It means start date can be different for different POs and once we change it forcibly then it shoulkd not change unless we again change it forcibly.
We are thinking to change GR processing time at runtime wheneveer Purchase Order is changed. So if GR time in product location master is 1 day ....for different Purchase Orders different GR processing time can be considered. Say for Po1...its 2 day...for P2 its 4 day.
Or similar way we can change transit time as given in means of transport in tlanes.

Change Cluster Data Type

I might be asking a really silly school boy question here and to some degree I hope I am but could somebody tell me if its possible to change the data type of a cluster element? Let me explain.
Here is a screen shot of my code:
I read back my test data as an array of strings which I convert to a cluster, bundle then send off on its merry way to do other stuff, however the first element in the cluster is actually a path. As you can see I currently unbundle all elements, change the first to a path then re-bundle with the correct data types. Whilst somewhat messy, this used to be acceptable as I only had two other strings in the cluster, however due to expansion I now look at it and think that there must be an easier, more elegant way to do this if I just want to change one element.
If this is the only way (or at least if no other simpler solution exists) then I could potentially keep the path a a string and do the conversion at the points that require it, however that would now require a bit of re-coding which I would like to avoid if possible.
Hopefully I'm just not thinking hard enough on this one.

I have no idea what the rest of the code looks like and how much you can change so a few options:
1. Keep them all as strings, do the path conversion when you actually need the path. I'll show you the trick I use to convert arrays to nicely labelled clusters below.
2. Make the cluster an object, keep the data as a string array and the accessors deal with indexing and path conversion.
3. Make the cluster hierarchial, separate the path and have a second cluster which is all strings.
4. If you want you can jigger the string array and use some flatten and unflatten action.
The top of the snippet is one way to jigger the string array to get a path for the first element in a flat cluster (should wire seamlessly to the rest of your code). The lower code shows how I would convert a string array to a cluster so the labels are useful, same idea works for clusters which are given useless labels such as those from Array to Cluster. (Fixed sized clusters with brown wires are easier to handle, simply Type Cast to the cluster with the same types and appropriate labels).
Judging from your original post, you know when and how to Type Def the various clusters I show.

Newby question on syncing/updating

If I change some of the column data for a song (or songs) in my iTunes library on my iBook will it (or they) be recognized as same or different from the copies already on the iPod?
Better: What is the best way to sync columnar data between my iBook and iPod?

Josh, you appear to be wrong. I now have two copies of songs for which I changed some data.
I have my iPod set for Manual update. When I selected all in my library and dragged them to the iPod it left the old versions on the iPod.
