News files shared on Windows 8.1 PRO 64b PC are not visible by XP SP3 32bits

HEllo all,
I am sharing a directory with subdirectories on a PC running Win 8.1 (workgroup type) .
In subdirectories there are some videos files. I add regulary some files, but all my other PC running Win XP don't see the new files.
(of course F5 doesn't work)
I put a guest account in the share and security properties with read/write autorizations , then i put Everyone account with the same autorizations.
I used the ICACLS the grant inheritance to Everyone for the directory , and didn"t work too .
To make my new files to be visible by the other PC , i have to put the Share off, and share again the directory ...
And so on ...
Please can you help me ??

Do Only PCs running Win XP have the issue? When you give guest account in the share and security properties with read/write autorizations and Everyone account with the same autorizations, please check if the new files inherit the permsisions.
You could check if Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent check box is selected.

Uploaded files are not visible

I have uploaded numerous mp4 tutorial files I use on a regular basis, and they are not visible (I did not hide files). They were not visible at all after their upload. I initially thought there was an error were issue with the upload, but when I went to upload a single file once that is complete I was told in a dialog box is a duplicate file name. The duplicate file is visible; however, the original upload file is not.

File Sharing between Windows PC and MacBook Pro using Internet Sharing

I have a MacBook Pro and a Dell Latitude D820 running Windows XP SP2 and I want to connect both using any of these two options. I do not have a wireless router and I use Sprint 3G data card to access internet.
1) I access the internet using a EVDO data card on my MAC and use Internet sharing to access the internet on my Dell laptop. How do I access the files on my PC from my MAC?
2) I can have two EVDO data cards to access the MAC and PC independently. How can I setup file sharing between Windows laptop and MAC?

You get various behaviors based on a combination of settings in Preferences > Interface; namely Open Documents as Tabs and Enable Floating Document Window Docking; but it doesn't seem to make much sense as far as I can tell. My new folders are not visible in Finder

New folders (generated by a application, SABNZB+, that runs in the background as a web service) will only show up in Finder once I have run a search in Finder and are not visible before. I have tried a disk repair and a permissions rebuild.
Any ideas anyone?

Yes they do, no problems there.
I am starting to believe it might have to do with the fact that the folders are created by an unarchiver that reassembles files after they are downloaded from my newsgroup. The strange thing is that there never used to be a problem, it started somewhere around the second update to mountain lion. But it could also be a new version of the application SABNzb+, I am not sure.
What is also weird is this: I can find the folder when doing a search in Finder, then open the folder, all files are there and the folder is then visible normally.
Edit: The files are reassembled by the unarchiver on the main Macintosh HD, then moved to a different volume and deleted from the originating volume.

    If you see red light in the headphone port, plug the headphone
    in and out of the port 5 or 6 times to flip the microswitch inside.

I HAVE FOUND A FIX! Searching through the support blogs paid off in a big way. A minor registry edit is all it took and my drive is working like new! Here's the fix. My system is Windows 10 64-bit.  Resolution 5: Create a registry subkey

How can I re-open the restore pane that had my saved open windows after a crash? these are not in the history section

After a "unexpected closure", firefox saves the windows you are using.
This window did not re-open after an update/re-start (usually, all open firefox windows open after any restart).
My question is, how can I get this window open again? The visits are not in the history section. I have many, many windows that were marking work, so I need to have that list.

I have the same problem. It is only with tv shows and only with programs I have downloaded after the software update.
Apple support sent me the above link too....but it doesn't solve the problem...my computer is authorized and the content is in my library and will play on my Mac air, but it will not sync the tv shows, it keeps saying my computer isn't authorized for it.
