No authorization for action: CRE with object: ADCP

Hi,
I encountered the following error when creating an index:
No authorization for action: CRE with object: ADCP
I was at transaction DB02 -> 'Checks' -> Database<->ABAP/4 Dictionary.
The checks indicate that there are some optional indexes that are not created.
The error is encountered when I select one of these indexes (eg. ADCP-I01) and try to create it using the 'Create in DB' button.
Do I have to assign some certain permission to my account? I am already holding the SAP_ALL and S_A.SYSTEM profiles.

Hello,
As i had expected DDIC userid did the needful.
to see whether the index is created, you need to do the following.
start transaction DB02
click on the refresh button
You would then get a new pop up with two different buttons.
now on this pop up click the 'perform database checks' button.
System might give you a warning 'This will take time' , click yes and wait for the system to refresh the data.
Once system has refreshed the database data, you should be able to see your newly created index.

The strange thing is that when I assign user with a different Personnel Number and it works just fine. But when I switched back to his Personnel Number, then I get above error.
Even though I don't get any order list but I got all notifications and technical objects.
Also, this user has same roles with everyone else. While everyone is working fine this user is the only one that getting the error and no order download to PDA.

please run ther getlist and getdetail handler in the backend directly for that user - most likely you will get a better failure message there.
Nevertheless - what Application yre you using? Is it MAM? If yes, check the SPRO setup for this particular user,

T. Code: OMJJ
Select Movement Type: 601 and Double-Click: "Allowed Transaction" (From Left-hand side) .
Check whether the Transaction is allowed for Movement Type 601 or not
Note: if Transaction is not listed (i.e. not allowed) and you wanna allow this Transaction with Movement type 601, then -
Up-there, Tab: New Entry. Click on it.
Maintain entry as:
MovTy: 601
TCode: As reqd.
and Save.

Restricting Authorization for a specific Info-object

Dear All,
I have a scenario where I have to restrict the account managers by specific channels.
I have 2 info-objects, Sold-to party and Sales Channel. Sales Channel is defined as attribute of the the Sold-To Part info-object.
I was exploring the BI authorizations concept in SCM 2007.
I created a authorization called "Test" and assigned the info-object Sales Channel in the authorization and restricted it for one value. This authorization along with 0BI_ALL I have added to the role under BI authorizations.
However in interactive demand planning, I cannot restrict by the sales channel. It allows me to load data for all the channels.
If I remove 0BI_ALL object, then I cannot load anything in interactive planning.
Does anyone have a step by step proceedure for using the BI authorization concept?

Yes, 0TCAACTVT (activity), 0TCAIPROV (InfoProvider) and 0TCAVALID (validity) have to be made authorization relevant. For the info objects you want to use to control security, also make them authorization relevant in RSD1, imagine the object you want relevant is ZZ_VKORG (sales organization).
Then use RSCEADMIN transcation and 0BI_ALL will include the objects from above, copy 0BI_ALL into a object such as Z_1000 and then change the value for the specific info object that you want to control, imagine that you want sales org 1000 only to be allowed within Z_1000.
Now, you have 2 choices: You can use the normal security maintenance (SU01, PFCG) and you can asssign RSRS_AUTHBIAUTH and set BIAUTH requal to Z_1000 or you can use user maintenance directly within RSCEDAMIN and assign Z_1000 to the user. Either way, it becomes part of the authorization of the user.
You may find that you need to introduce colon authorization concept ( for mixed levels of data and that is just a matter of adding a second line to the allowable values and setting it like "EQ :".
Things to consider:
1. This authorization concept is water tight and will do everything you need, but will do at the expense that if you don't model it first, you will kill yourself trying to make it right. This becomes evident when you trace a security issue (via RSCEADMIN) because the way BI7.0 works is that it will build a minimized superset of authorizations, so it is best to know where you want to get to, rather than starting off by where you know you need to go.
2. To control change or display mode, you will need to influence 0TCAACTVT, even though you might think to use C_APO_SEL3 for ACTVT, the BI7.0 concept works within the BI space and 0TCAACTVT doesn't impact it.
3. If you activate more info objects, 0BI_ALL will get updated automatically but your custom authorization objecst will not. So, it is best to activate them all at the same time so that you don't have to manually change them.
4. Do the work in development and transport it to the TEST/QA/PROD environments, there are transprt tools within the RSCEADMIN.
This is probably enough to get you going, reply back if you have specific questions or issues.

"No authorization for this transaction(vlo2n) with movement type 643" ...
When i try to do the same thing through BASIS ,it gives no error..

Then Click Autherization Button --> then Click Change Autherisation(pencil)
Go and Click or Drill down the Material Management : Inventry Management
1.This is --> Goods Movement : Storage Location Type :
Click --> Movement type (Inventry Management) Press F4 --> u can choose ur valid type

Authorization for info object

i have doubt in authorization. i created authorization object in rrsm, i created roles in pfcg and i need to enter my info object for this authorization, but i am unable to fing my info object in pfcg . how can i get this one. and when i want save my report in roles, can i create roles first and save that report in that role. ple give me clarification

Plant level authorization for Notification Change

Hi All
We have 7 plants and person belong to one plant is able to open and change the notification of other plants.
In the role we have given restriction for the plant for the Tcode IW 22 and for the object SWERK .In the Notification only Workcenter and Plant fields are mandatory.
How can we restrict for a user belong to a particular plant can only change his plant notifications using IW22 only ---not IW28

Dear gangs,
Check in all the roles of that user in orgnozation levels maintenance plant and planning plant.
It may happen in one role you have ristricted for that user, but in other roles it may be having the t.code authorization for IW22 and with other plant also.

Restrict access with object F_LFA1_BEK - problem with F4 search

Hello,
we want to restrict access to some vendor accounts, which can be shown with transaction FK03 for example.
There is an authorization object F_LFA1_BEK, which can be maintained in the special vendor accounts in field authorization group.
A user with authorization for vendor account with authorization group ZZZZ in it can see all vendors with authorization group ZZZZ and all vendors with no authorization group. But he can't see vendor accounts with authorization group YYYY. To this point, it's ok.
If the user uses the F4 search help he is able to see the vendor accounts with authorization group YYYY too. And this is the problem - the user should not see these vendor accounts. With this option user is able to see address data of a vendor account he should not see.
Is there any possiblity to solve this problem?

I don't know the current status, but this is being looked into generally as it is not only limited to the F4 on LFA/B/M1.
As you only access the name and some attribute data which you can display, it is not necessarily critical and there is no transaction data involved.
Good news is that the BAPIs for search help make these same granular checks which you are expecting.
If I hear something further about these developments I will let you know.

Verify Authorization for a differnt UserID

Hi all,
     Hope you are all doing great. I need some help from the experts.
My question is that I am storing UserID in a Table Field as input from end users. I have to make sure that the entered Userid (not the current end user) has a authorization for a given auth Object field/value combination. I did a search for Function Modules that begin with Authority_Check but didn't see any obvious ones.
I think this should be possible, i.e. "AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT 'xx' " with also supplying the UserID.
Please let me know if you know how to do so.

adding to Venkat, there is an other object called:
<b>S_RS_FOLD</b>
Display authorization for folder. This object is new in SAP BW 3.0.
With this the reporting user should only be able to see their Favorites folder and their assigned roles. They cannot look at other InfoAreas to which they have not been granted access.

this is an authorization problem: user must run transaction SU53 after getting the error message in order to see in detail the authorization object and values missing. Then you must ask the person who manages authorization profiles to maintain properly the user's profile.
Tipically some roles are assigned to the user: you must identify the role to be maitained, then go to transaction PFCG and in the authorization tab, add the missing authorization object and/or the missing authorization value for the activity. An alternative way is identifying an existing role with the expected values and assign it to the user.

In my project i have a requirement to give authorization to individual infotype level and also give authorization for each and every PA40 actions .

Hello:
For authorization to individual infotype, use object P_ORGIN, authorization field INFTY. In here you can specify individual infotypes, and also authorization level on field AUTHC:
R - Read access
W - Write access
M - Matchcode access
E, D - Enqueue, dequeue access (Asymmetrical double verification principle)
S - Symmetrical (Symm. double verification principle)
For authorization for each and every action, use:
INFTY: 0000 (Actions infotype)
SUBTY: ## (Specific actions)
This is done with basis team cooperation in transaction PFCG.

Hi an having a problem with providing authorization for a planning folder
i am getting the following error when i test it with test user

Diagnosis
You have selected a function, to execute this the system must set up an RFC connection to another SAP System. However, setting up this connection was not successful. The following internal error message was generated:

Procedure
Inform the system administrator.
we are not pulling the data from any other server, all the data is on the sif any one has faced the same issue let me know.
