No Desktop Browsing for the N900 !

Gosh ! I must say I am really dissapointed. I thought the N900 very proudly boasts about rendering only Desktop website pages no matter what the website is...But To my utter shock yesterday I tried logging on to one site (You know one of those sites '@##$' which cannot be mentioned publicly, If you know what I mean ) and it gave me Mobile Page like an WAP site. Goodness Gracious have I been made a fool here by having made understood that the N900 only returns Desktop website pages..No Matter what the website is...And which is not the case currently with me.

I still dont have a solution to my problem, do you have a specific solution to this problem rather then just talk about a possibility which may suggest would have this problem. Someone has suggested me to download a App from Extra-Devel which would disguise the UA-User Agent when it asks the website to render the webpage. I am not really so keen on this solution especially if it needs to download a App from Extras-Devel, apart from this anything else that I can do. I want my N900 to be abolutely invincible in terms of atleast visiting the website is concerned. Otherwise it all defeats the whole purpose of having it which is have full desktop browsing...No Matter what the site is Business, Technology,Sports,News and yes even "PORN"

My iPod has music and apps from my apple ID that I downloaded to my iPod via iCloud and some apps that I got free from the store, straight onto my iPod, but my laptop has some music on it aswell, separate from my other library. I want to put the music from my laptop into my iTunes library which I want to use on both computers. Is it possible to do this?

- You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

Does your user account name really contain a single quote? If so, it looks like the quote is getting eaten by one of the build scripts, which is resulting in a file path that doesn't exist.

A Better Media Player for the N900???

Just curious if anyone knows of a better media player for the N900....one that will allow the building of playlist like the N95 8GB did. Basically just want to be able to better categorize my music and have specific playlists for different events...workouts, relaxation etc. Thanks in advance

Have you replaced the back on the phone? The phone won't find the card without the back in place.
And you don't have to switch the phone off to remove the card, either.

Hi Kevin,
when you have defined your customer fields, you have created new fields in the CUF structures. The labels displayed on the SC screen come from the data element you have assigned to those cust fields in the include structure.
If you have used a std data element, then you can change its translation (attention, this will impact all structures, tables... abap objects using this data element).
If you have created a Z data element, then adapt its description accordingly.

Mer is a Maemo 5 (freemantle) port for the N800 N810. it is allowing the older Nokia tablets to catch up to the N900.

Mac desktop setting for the background do not list aperture 3 folder

With aperture 2 you could choose any of the folder contained in the aperture lib for display on the desktop-background. This seemed to have stopped after upgrading to Aperture 3. On the settings for the desktop "Aperture" is still listed inside the apple folder, but has no sub-folder. I guess the library could not be opened in a way...
In the Folder section I found one folder named "DSKApertureR..." but this is not opertating either.
Will there be an fix for this?
In the Picture folder I do have two Aperture library. Mine and the one with the samples. Will this cause the problem?

After starting Aperture and closing it the database seems now to be ok, as all the Aperture projects show for the desktop in the respective desktop settings. Strange. If you encounter the missing projects consider to repair the database (by holding down alt + cmd on startup) or simply start and shutdown Aperture.
A bit strange but might help someone out there.

New Desktop Manager for the Mac is Wonderful

I had played with the leaked version and liked what I saw. I just think this DTM is excellent. The bugs that were in the leaked version aren't there. Its fast, its nice, I can do backups and upgrade the software from the Mac and load apps. This is great.
I've noticed people having problems getting their software to work. I ran into this error but it was easily fixed. I had been running the leaked version of the software. I decided to uninstall Missing Sync for the Blackberry and then I uninstalled my new install of RIM's DTM. I restarted, re-installed and it works like a charm.

Recommended Desktop Software for the 8320

I am confused, is there a special version for the curve 8320? The CD came with 4.2, but there is a link to download a version for the 8320, and there is the new 4.7. Will this latest version work fine with the 8320?
BTW, I've been unable to download a single archive from the BB site. Files stop at some point and never continue. I've tried several times and from different computers...

4.7 is the latest and has some bonus features that are available in the background that can be used to fix certain issues if they ever arise with your device
all versions will work with your 8320
all versions will work with outlook xp+ (2002, 2003, 2007)
the download you are seeing for your 8320 is probably 4.5 device software(to be isntalled ON your BB) or 4.6 DTM highest supported by your carrier.
4.7 is the newest and will work and is supported by RIM

Flash Player freezes in every browser for the past 4 months

I'm running Windows 7 on a 64-bit system Dell
I have this problem on Firefox, IE, and also Chrome
I have the latest Flash player 11
I'm not one to post in forums, but this problem has been particularly driving me crazy for almost half a year. Each week, on a random day, my flash player decides to freeze wherever video is played. I have tried all browsers I can. I then proceed to uninstall flash, reinstall flash, restart my computer, update my drivers, and then it works. Some 5 days later..... it freezes on me AGAIN. Each time I get a popup saying "Flash is not responding" It freezes my whole browser and makes it shut down. Two of my classmates are having this same issue -- one with a Mac and one with an HP 32 bit.
Please Please Help me. I don't know what to do anymore.... this is getting disruptive and irritating.

It's flash. Not your computer. I have 16 computers at my office and flash is getting worse and worse with every patch. The older computers can barely play flash anymore (EVEN videos that worked PERFECTLY before saved on the hard drives) and the videos are stuttering because lack of horsepower to play with the newer degraded flash software. I say degraded because these SAME videos played perfectly on older versions of flash.
FLASH is becoming completely unusable. I have machines ranging from Dos, Win 95, 98, many Win XP machines, Ubuntu, some vista machines, and a few Win 7 machines of all different makes on a high speed dual internet network. I wish I had refused to update flash but sadly you can only refuse so long before the video won't play.
VERY dissapointed in ADOBE products.
I hope HTML 5 kills flash in the future. Having 1 company with all this control over content is bad when the product becomes so flakey it crashes browsers (Chrome, Chromium, IE, Firefox).
The slowdowns are across the board affecting Ubuntu, Windows machines.
I have a feeling they are trying to implement copy protection in the streams due to the increase of popularity of VEVO, youtube, and website content using more advanced flash content than ever.
All in all - if something else comes along I'm removing all adobe products from all company computers and our thousands of customers. Can't wait for open source HTML 5.
Only my highest end computers play flash without slowdowns now.

After i expand my web browser for the entire computer how do I make it fit screen again

In my web browser page there are two arrows in upper right hand corner. They allow me to make my web page to fit the entire computer screen. After I do that, how do I restore it to a normal web page appearance?

"Shift + Command + F" I believe is the shortcut to do that.
EDIT: actually, just hold your cursor in the top right of the screen for a second and your taskbar will reappear and you can close full screen.

Green Desktop Icon (for the external HD) for Time Machine

After I choosed my external Lacie HD as the BackUp Volume for Time Machine, the icon (on the Desktop) didn't change into the green (original) Time Machine Volume. How can I change that? Thanks a lot for your help, Beat.

I had a similar problem where my HD desktop icon originally changed to the green TM icon then reverted back to the original icon after I made some changes to TM preferences. To get the green TM icon back select the HD icon on your desktop and Get Info (Command-I). At the top of the Get Info dialog box next to the drive's name, click on the icon of the HD. It should have a light blue halo around it when selected. Once selected press the Delete key and the green TM HD icon should appear in place of the original HD icon.
That worked for me.
