No ifIndex table when querying via SNMP

Hello, looking for suggestions before opening up a TAC case.
Just received a Nexus 3000 with NX-OS 6.0(2)U2(1) and when I attempt to walk the ifTable via SNMP the ifIndex table is not present. Walking the ifIndex table itself results in  "IF-MIB::ifIndex = No Such Instance currently exists at this OID". show interface snmp-ifindex is fine and the rest of the ifTable displays properly.
My switch config is just a basic RO community with no ACL's or anything yet. A pair of the same switches with NX-OS 5.0(3)U5(1a) display the table no problem.
Any suggestions, or has anyone else seen this?

Did you navigate the FireFox plugin to the DB file that is in the Simulator app bundle:
/Users/YOURUSERID/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/SYSTEMGENERATED_NAME/YOURAPP.app
or

  • Duplicate Entries in Flashback Table when queried using as of timestamp

    Hi All,
Oracle Version : Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition 11.1.0.7
    OS: HP-UX PA-RISC (64-bit)
We have a table name DIRECTORY_LISTING_GROUP with HEADER_KEY as primary key.
So when i query like this
    SELECT * FROM DIRECTORY_LISTING_GROUP AS OF TIMESTAMP TO_TIMESTAMP('05-NOV-12 10:00:00','DD-MON-YY HH24:MI:SS') WHERE HEADER_KEY=#
Ideally i should get only one row but i m getting two rows which are exactly the same.
    Please advice

    Hi,
Maybe it is a primary key now but are you sure it was a primary key at 05-NOV-12 10:00:00 ?If it was not primary key at 05-NOV-12 10:00:00, and now it is,
which implies primary key constraint was added using ALTER TABLE command.
But using ALTER TABLE command would invalidate the undo data for that table. And using the flashback query would generate exception something like "table definition has changed".

  • Lost index stats in Ora 8.1.6 Tables when selecting via jdbc

    Hi,
i'm using JBuilder8 and Kylix2 on a Linux machine with Oracle oci drivers of client 8.1.7.
The connect through JB8 jdbc via DBPilot is succesful and shows the tables of the db.
After executing a select on any table the index stats of this table are lost.
Kylix works fine without this failure.
Thanks for any comments to this problem
    Jens

Well, it's not the PL/SQL code that is causing a problem. Everything worked fine for many months. Then one day (without any changes in the environment or code) the update of a table from a java application (via JDBC) fails. The same update done directly on the DB with SQL Plus still succeeds!
This led us to think that something is wrong with the JDBC connection (which was up for several months). Maybe a memory corruption?
Anyone that experienced similar problems with JDBC?

  • MIBS to Monitor Etherchannel and trunks via SNMP

I would like to monitor the status of etherchannel and trunk configurations in 6500 Catalyst switches running both CATOS and IOS. I would like to understand the specific mibs/OIDS that should be monitored for etherchannels and trunks. I am trying to get a better handle on tracking the etherchannels and trunk dynamically and then understanding when the ports are having issues (up/down and errors). I need to understand how to differentiate these type of ports from regular access ports.
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi Tim,
what exactly do you want to query via SNMP?
For an (PAgP) Etherchannel, the member-interfaces might be interesting:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3957914#3957914
For a trunk, you could start with the operational mode, depending on the platform you can use:
    vlanTrunkPortDynamicStatus (CISCO-VTP-MIB):
    vlanTrunkPortDynamicStatus.49 = notTrunking
    vlanTrunkPortDynamicStatus.50 = trunking
    vlanPortIslOperStatus (CISCO-STACK-MIB):
    vlanPortIslOperStatus.13.43 = notTrunking
    vlanPortIslOperStatus.13.44 = trunking
    Hope that helps

  • Strange explain plan when query SYS tables

    Oracle Version 9.2.0.7
We have an application that runs the following query on Oracle 9.2.0.7
    SELECT T1.TABLE_NAME,T1.COLUMN_NAME, T1.SRID, T2.SDO_UB, T2.SDO_LB, T1.OWNER FROM ALL_SDO_GEOM_METADATA T1, TABLE(T1.DIMINFO) T2 WHERE T1.OWNER=UPPER(:"SYS_B_0") AND T1.TABLE_NAME=UPPER(:"SYS_B_1")
Without the self join the query is fine, but with the self join on our customers database the explain plan is doing full table scans and Hash Joins on SYS tables and takes 2 minutes.

Statistics have been gathered for the MDSYS user.
If this had not been SYS schema I would have immediately concluded that fresh statistics are required. The SYS objects concerend are valid with all indexes
From my understanding you are not meant to gather stats for the SYS schema in Oracle 9 as Data Dictionary queries still uses RBO?
Any ideas as to why Oracle is doing full table scans when querying SYS tables? The optimizer_mode is set to FIRST_ROWS.
    Any ideas greatly recevied.
    Thanks

Maybe I'm missing something but this:
INDEX FULL SCAN     SISESTAT     I0_ESTRUTURA_COMERCIALindicates that one of those indexes is being used.
    This:
T_ESTRUTURA_COMERCIALIs nowhere to be found in your Explain Plan. It appears that either you have posted the wrong plan
or Oracle is doing a query rewrite to a materialized view.

  • Initial selection screen missing when execting a query via web

    Hello all.
We have a problem when we try to execute a query in web. We developped queries via query designer and we published all in a role. By doing it system generates a link that makes possible to execte this query via web. The issue is that sometimes the initial selection screen doesn´t appear (and the variables are "ready to input".
    Could anybody help me?
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Carmen Rodríguez,
In the WAD properties of the webtemplate.. carefully look for 'Force Variable Screen' Check that option..
Save and rerun the same.. it should be able to see the screen after that..

  • Grab ARP Table via SNMP on HP v1910 switch?

Hello, Just as the topic says, is it possible to grab the ARP table from an HP v1910 switch via SNMP? I'm currently writing a python script that will provide the user IP address to port mappings. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance!

  • Monitor OSPFv3 via SNMP not working - Is OSPFv3 MIB supported?

I need to be able to query the OSPFv3-MIB via SNMP to track the status of OSPFv3.
I have setup a 3945 router in a test lab network and I have configured it in an Ipv6 network with OSPFv3.  The router has an active OSPFv3 neighbor and I can use that neighbor to send/receive data (the routing is working fine).  However, when I walk the SNMP MIBs I don't get a response for the OSPFv3-MIB.  According to the Cisco SNMP Object Navigator this MIB should be located at 1.3.6.1.3.102.*.  Below is an example trying to query a particular OID from the OSPFv3 MIB.
    C:\>snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 197.16.18.1 1.3.6.1.3.102.1.5.1.8
SNMPv2-SMI::experimental.102.1.5.1.8 = No Such Object available on this agent at  this OID
I can walk other parts of the MIB (For example the OSPFv2 MIB) and get responses, so I know the router has SNMP turned on.
Looking at the Cisco IOS Mib Locator tool (http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/MainServlet?IMAGE_NAME=c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.bin) for the current software version I am running (c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.152-4.M3.bin) on a 3945 router it claims that the OSPFv3 MIB is supported in this image.
Maybe I need to configure something else?  Maybe my SW doesn't really support this MIB?  Could it be that I have to query the router over Ipv6 to get the OSPFv3-MIB (I have only been trying Ipv4)?

    Hi ,
As Vinod suggested , you need to configure the "SNMP CONTEXT"
    Configure:
    ==========
Basic configuration consists of 4 steps:
Configure mapping between VRF name and SNMP context :
    snmp-server vrf <vrf_1> context <context_1>
Create community string corresponding to the VRF :
    snmp-server community <vrf_1> RW
    Define context string
    snmp-server context <context_1>
Configure mapping between context and community:
    snmp-server community-map <vrf_1> context <context_1>
(optional) Configure snmp server traps for this VRF community
    snmp-server host <IP> traps version 2c <vrf_1>
    For e.g:
    snmp-server vrf miki
    context miki_bgp
    snmp-server community miki RW
    snmp-server context miki_bgp
    snmp-server community-map miki context miki_bgp
    Hope it will help
    Thanks-

    Hi Rajnish,
I had the same issue. For what it’s worth I was able to do a workaround basically creating all the columns when I create the table. The following code works for me to create the table which is just a matrix with one Integer column as the key and the rest as type Double.
It is not ideal in all scenarios because the table columns cannot be added dynamically via a procedure at a later point. This table has 27K columns now
Of course one of the advantages of a flex table would be programmatically adding columns dynamically. This works, but maybe there is still a way to add columns dynamically from a procedure, and someone else can advise.
Apparently dynamically adding columns via procedures may have some "minor" limitations due to the need to compile the procedure with knowledge of the flex table DDL. But again, hopefully someone knows another solution.
    Best regards,
    Mark

  • Backup ifIndex-table

    Hi,
I will perform backup data for a Catalyst switch failure.
SNMP agent feature is enabled on the switch, and the switch is configured the following configuration:
       snmp-server ifindex persist
Should I backup nvram:ifIndex-table from the switch for a cold standby switch?
Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

    Hi,
The SNMP ifIndex persistence retains the interface index (ifIndex) value when the switch reboots. Only on cisco 3745 have observed this to be not working.  Not sure why are you planning for a backup.

  • Execute BEX Query via Function Module

    Hi Mates,
I want to execute BEX query via a Function Module.
Also i want to explore whether the input parameters of the query can be retrieved from a Database Table.
Please let me know how this can be achieved.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Hrishikesh

    Hi Hrishikesh,
Assuming you have the necessary ABAP knowledge, you will have to code the exit in the include ZXRSRU01 under I_STEP = 1 (this is because you want to prepopulate your parameters from the values in your DB table).
Your DB table has Key1, Key2 and Your field as the three fields and you want to read the value of 'Your Field' based on your keys Key1 and Key2.
So, the code will be something like -
    when 'Your variable'.
    if i_step = 1.
select single 'Your field' from 'Your DB table' into lv_your_field where Key 1 = 'X' and
                                                                                                                   key 2 = 'Y'.
    clear l_s_range.
    l_s_range - low = lv_your_field.
    l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
    l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
    append l_s_range to e_t_range.
    endif.

  • Is there opportunity to backup WLC6 via SNMP

    Hello!
I have NM-AIR-WLC6-K9 in Cisco 2821. Is there opprotunity to retreive configuration via SNMP as from Cisco Catalyst 2960?
    Kind regards,
    Ellad

    Ellad,
WCS and NCS use SNMP to fetch the configuration from WLCs. This happens when you manually go to Configure Controllers --> Refresh Config from Controller from the WCS/NCS dashboard. (You can also use Background Tasks to automatically backup controller configs on a schedule, which is done using a combination of SNMP and T/FTP).
If you look at a packet sniff of the traffic between the controller and WCS/NCS during this process you will see several hundred SNMP Gets and Responses. What appears to be happening is that the configuration is being pulled piece by piece from the controller, and not as one gigantic configuration file in a single SNMP query. Based on what I see in the sniffer capture, I think it would be a significant undertaking to try to do this with a 3rd party tool or a custom script.
As an alternative, you may also find automated backups using SSH scripts and TFTP or FTP, which we recently talked about in another discussion:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3577890#3577890
This is what the Controller Configuration Backup background task edit window looks like in NCS:
